Fantasy Project Anima

She looked at him then back at the crowd and sighed. "fined out the room they are in I can use my teleportation to get you in first I'll leave a shadow clone with you then I'll go back for Arty" she said then turned to Arty "I'm only doing this because you have hired me nothing more I have no intention on getting in the affairs of the war for no reason". She turned back away from her after saying this. She was feeling good but her mind was on the job not on just being nice.

"I'm going back to the house find out what I need" she said to Gills in a flat tone before walking away.

The two watched as the assassin went back to the house. Gills sighed. "She's just doing what she want, as usual...I still think that it's a bad idea to employ her. Even if she's an Animus wielder..."

"Miss Crimson might say it like that, but she still helps us, right?" Arty giggled. "It'll be okay, big brother. I have faith in miss Crimson."

"...If you say so," he scratched his head. "Anyway, do you need me to find the information? Or..."

She nodded. She already knew. Ever since that time she started to tell him all of those things eleven years ago, she had known. Gills might forgot what she had told him, but she still remembered. There was no way she could forget, after all. "You did change a lot of things, big brother, but nothing affecting the other Kingdoms so far, so what I know should still be accurate."

The siblings watched the crowds from afar, waiting until the new royalties returned to their palace. They finally stopped the ceremony when the sun set. Now that the night had silently fallen, less people were on the street. They returned to the house to find Crimson.

"Oy, Crimson," Gills called. "Are you here?"

Going back to the house and finding no one she sighed at the mess and started to clean, it was one thing that had bugged her. After about an hour or so of cleaning the house looked like one that was clean and lived in. She nodded at the sight then laid out in a chair with her legs over the arm of it.

She figured that she could get a little nap in before tonight, she would need her strength for the spells. She yawned and curled up if someone came in she would hear then ....possibility.

Hours later when the prince and Arty got back Crimson was still curled up in the same spot asleep.

The siblings, after having no reply for a while, decided to just go in. One thing to note was that the house looked more...proper? Things were where they supposed to be. Dust lifted off the floor and ceiling. It wasn't perfect, but significantly better than how the original owner had left it.

"...Did Cruz hire some housekeeper?" Gills murmured.

"I think it's miss Crimson. Look," Arty smiled while pointing at the figure who was curled up asleep on a chair.

"...No way."

"Yes way," she giggled. "I'll get our things upstairs, big brother. We might need to leave the Kingdom right after we finished our task. You go and wake miss Crimson."

"Why don't you wake her ins..."

"Hush, no talking back now," she put a finger on his lips, sporting a huge grin, then disappeared into the second floor in an instant. Gills was left standing dumbfounded in the living room, a sleeping assassin snoring quietly behind him.

...

...

He sighed. Walking quietly toward the chair, he squatted so she was laying on his eye level. Deliberating for a few seconds on what would be the best course of action, he decided to just man up and do it. He patted the assassin on her shoulder gently, shaking her a bit so she would wake up.

Feeling him close to her Crimson had already woken up but kept her body the way it was, looking like she was asleep. she had an evil plan in her mind as she heard Arty going up the steps and his hand patting her shoulder and shaking her gently. quickly she grabbed his shirt and pulled him into a kiss, it was not like she liked him though...she didnt know how she felt about him. she let there lips be together for a moment before pushing him back a bit and jumping out of the chair with a smirk on her face.

Gills was starting to think that this was a bad idea. What if she didn't like being waken up like this and pounced on him like a mad tiger? He was preparing for a runaway when she suddenly grabbed him close. Closer. Right to her face, to be exact. For a few seconds he felt her lips touching his, and his mind went blank. When she pushed him back, his body didn't register and he just fell to the ground, his back laying on the floor. His eyes didn't move much, only staring blankly at the ceiling.

Little by little his cheek grew red. "Y-y-y...y...you..." his tongue was still frozen, unable to form coherent sentence. The perpetrator of the assault was still smirking, but he didn't even feel mad. More precisely, he couldn't describe what kind of feeling he was having right now. "Oh, you're up, miss Crimson," Arty was walking down the stair slowly, carrying a rather big sack on her back. It was their belonging which she had bundled in one convenient place, in the chance that they have to escape the city quickly. She looked a bit confused seeing her brother laying on the ground with arms stretched outward, and when their eyes met, she could see how red his face was.

"AARGH!"

Gills snapped, suddenly jolting up and ran out of the house as if his body was catching fire.

"...err...what...just happened, miss Crimson...?" question marks were all over the place.

she laughed lightly as she watched him run out of the house, that face he made was almost as amazing as the one of fear. she sighed happily then looked over at Arty with a satisfied smile. "nothing.... would you like me to help you with that?" she asked walking over to her. she hoped she would be able to see that look again and if not from him possibly from someone else.....maybe the other prince will have the same look. she glanced up the steps, then at the door...perhaps not. she smiled again thinking of the look on his face, but remembering that Arty was there she turned back to her and waited for her answer.

Arty was still confused, but decided that Crimson's smiling face was a good sign. "Ah, yes, thank you," she took down the bundle and pulled out a smaller bundle from the inside, practically splitting the burden in half. She handed it over to Crimson. "I was thinking of asking my brother but he...ran away? Did you do something to him, miss Crimson?"

She moved the bundle and placed it on her back after Arty handed it to her, it was light so she had no problems holding it. what Arty asked her is she did something to Gills she looked at the door and smiled mischievously. "perhaps...dose it matter?" she asked looking back at Arty. "he will be back but for now what will we do it is not yet dark enough for us to do much so should you tell me what you know?"

"Hmmmm..." She looked suspiciously at Crimson for a while, but then just giggled and dropped the topic. "O~kay then."

What she told her later was the situation for the target. The royal castle of Lapant was situated on the small mountain looming over the capital, a natural watchtower in which the rocks were carved so that the castle can be built. The entrance on ground floor was heavily guarded, thus requiring efforts to break in. But there are other entrances available, such as the one connected to the ceremonial stages they've seen earlier. It's not guarded as strictly, but required them to find a way to scale the cliff.

"We can find the King and the Dragon Princess in the inner chamber," Arty explained. "As long as we don't arouse the guards, we should be able to get some time alone with them. Umm...is there any other information that you need?"

As Arty spoke she nodded as she tried to visualize it its a lot different then the princes castle but it should not be that bad getting in, not as simple but not bad. when she was done with speaking she shook her head. "no there is nothing more I need..." she went quiet for a moment looking down then looking back at her. " I can get you in but I will only be able to do one at a time will you be ok going last? I would rather they do not seance us coming until someone is in or.....would you like to go first and see how that goes?" she asked placing her other hand on her hip as she looked at her. "it is up to you princess I will do as you want"

Arty shook her head. "Hmmhm, I'll trust your decision, miss Crimson. Also, it might be best if you and brother talked things first with them. If I went there by myself, I'm afraid that Steel will be too roused for me to control," she looked down, gripping on the hem of her dress.

"So," she looked up again, forcing a smile. "Does that mean you already have a plan to get us in, miss Crimson?"

she nodded her head at Arty's decision to let her lead this. she understood the danger and had some of her plan set but really she had no plan. she lightly laughed and shook her head "how do you plan for this? ill have to just not get any of us killed." she stopped smiling with a strait face. "though i will leave a clone with you then we dont want you getting hurt and it will help when I have to come get you so i know were you are at....will yo be ok with a shadow fallowing you?" she asked as she leaned on the wall, she also wondered when she would like to leave. when her brother got back would be best, but if Arty wanted she would not mind going and finding him.

"I understand," Arty nodded. "Then, would tonight be a good time to move? I'm afraid that if we waited a bit longer, then it will be too late. Hmm...as for brother, I think..."

At that moment, Gills returned to the house. His face was still sporting a stupid, vacant look, but he seemed to have calmed down already. "Yo..." He called out. "I'm...ready, I guess...so what's the plan?"

"tonight is fine" she said as Gills came back inside the house. seeing his face she could not help but smile to her self. "you will come with me first as we infiltrate the room of the king and queen" she said this then moved slightly closer to him. she didn't want to do anything in front of Arty, but she was still looking for a little of what they had seen before they had to become serous. she looked at him, then again she was always serous so why not have a bit more fun with a job that would probibly not end in blood.

Gills's eyes wandered away, not wanting to see Crimson directly. He didn't react when she moved closer, but he was clearly uncomfortable with her close proximity. Arty reiterated the battle plan Crimson had told her in shorter detail, and Gills just nodded. There wasn't much to discuss anymore, and he would just take any role the two would assign to him.

"Well then, let's do this. The moon had come out just now, so we might need to move cautiously. Don't want to alert the guards." He walked out without waiting for the two. Arty followed behind.

The road was lit by torches, but few people would dare to walk the street at night time. Occasionally guards would walk down in pair, but as long as nothing big happening, they wouldn't bother to check.

"Well, which way to take now?" He asked. Should they take the narrow alleys, skirting around the edge of the city, or just cruise through the main street which is closer to the castle? He wondered if Crimson had a better idea, since she was the most experienced among them in the art of infiltration.

Crimson was disappointed that the only reaction was him looking away and a bit uncomfortable but she fallowed them out with out bothering him anymore. as they walked she started to form a plan of action that was actually really easy, she smiled a bit feeling slightly excited. when she was spoken to she looked up at Gills. " walk on through with the three of us moving around the city would look strange if we were seen when we get closer we will move to the roof tops, after that I hope you wont mind getting close to me because we will move by my magic through a little bit of it" saying the last part she looked over at him and smiled. there were other ways of getting in but not knowing what he could really do in sneaking around she would use the easiest way to gain a not only a way through with out being spotted but also a surprise advantage.

Gills pouted when he heard her mentioning about them getting close. "I'm fine with that," he grumbled. Putting that aside, by following Crimson's plan, they would need to walk through the main road without being noticed. By sheer luck, that night was a dull one, with everyone already inside their house to sleep and do whatever they do at night. The road was empty saves a few guards walking around, but nothing that can't be saved by hiding behind a few barrels left outside. It surprisingly went well, with the castle starting to enter their sight. At night, the towering man-made structure looked more imposing than ever.

"So...we need to get on the rooftop from here?" Gills asked, pointing toward the houses on their side. The road would end right at the plaza, where they had watched the ceremony before. There were more guards standing there, most likely to guard the castle entrance, so moving any further would be dangerous.

She nodded then picked up Arty she was not sure if she could make it up, but it was better this way just in case someone made a sound. "Can you get up on your own?" She asked Gills but before she let him answer she had already silently started to make her way to the roof with out needing to put her down. once on the roof she set Arty down so she was sitting and out of the sight of guards. she knelled looking at the castle for a good place to enter as she waited for him.

Arty yelped a bit when Crimson picked her up, but quickly covered her mouth before the sound escaped. Seeing the assassin scaling the walls like that, without help of tools and even carrying someone else on her, was awe-inspiring. Soon she was up on the roof, the wind feeling good on her skin. Thanks to the torches on ground level, the areas on the roof were far darker and thus people were less likely to spot them even if they stand up. Still, Arty didn't want to waste their effort and sat down as low as she could to avoid detection.

Gills was dumbfounded while watching her climb up like a cat. What dexterity. How...the heck should he follow her up? Thankfully there were barrels over there too, and he managed to stack them up as makeshift ladder. "Phew," after two stacks of barrel, he was high enough to reach the rooftop, although he still need to jump. He leapt and caught the edge of the roof, slowly pulling himself up. Arty went over to him and helped pulling one of his arm, and soon the prince was up on the roof as well.

"Huff...damn...look at what you made me do..." he grumbled at Crimson. "Now what? Are you suggesting that we fly over there?"

She turned to him hearing that he was finally up. "if you would of had trouble you could of asked i would of been happy to help you up" she said teasingly then looked back at the castle again and nodded. "something like that...you know my teleportation spell? well the interesting thing about it is I can use it on two people and at my best pretty far at that" she looked at them for a moment then pointed to the wall then moved to a window that was possibly there's...she would have to see when they get up there. "we will go from there to there if it is the right room" she sat down facing Arty. "first we have to get you a watcher" she moved her hand out to her. "Umbra Clone" as soon as this was said a shadow appeared behind Arty it was about the same size as Crimson, it just sat there and 'looked' at Arty. "alright that is done when ever your ready princy" she said turning back to the castle.

Arty turned back to see the clone. It was Crimson, but...looked like shadow. People could be fooled from a distance, but seeing it up close was disturbing. Nevertheless, she felt safer having the clone around.

"Alright, let's do this quickly and get it over with," Gills walked over to Crimson's side and clung at her on the waist. "Do I need to have direct contact with you like this or what?"

She smiled a bit feeling his arms around her waist and nodded to him. "you got it right now this not only will be cold but fast do not let go" she warned before turning to a strait face as she looked at the castle. "I hope you are ready because here we go" she mumbled before she moved her hand up to the castle wall. "Lanuae Magicae Umbra!" she said then there they went at first it would look like they were slowly turning into shadow then they would be gone like if someone moved a light on them. moving though they didnt even get near the guards as they moved over head. once her feet hit the spot she aimed for she stood there. "you still with me?" she whispered as she looked at the windows for the kings.

Gills had seen her using the teleportation magic before, so he wasn't surprised when she started chanting the spell. But cold and fast? That's a weird way to explain it. He was about to ask when suddenly he felt his entire existence melting away. It was as if the world around him slowly disappeared. For a while he felt like he had lost his consciousness but at the same time he was still aware of everything. The next sensation was of his body traveling through far distance in practically an instant. He blinked.

The next time he opened his eyes, he was already on the other side, right on the window sill on the castle wall. He quickly grabbed on the wooden sill. That sensation...how could she did that all this time? He looked as if he wanted to puke. This was why teleportation Magic was not taught. Not counting the risk for the user, it put a huge strain on the user's body.

"Yeah...I'm...still here, more or less..." Gills tried to control his breathing. Don't do anything funny now. There were guards stories below them. The last thing he wanted would be for them discovered because he puked on someone's head. "Can we get inside? I don't think I can hold on like this for long." The window was facing a long, empty corridor, likely connected to the interior. Seems that the guards were more lax on the inside rather than the outside. Heh, just like back home...

She looked at him and smirked the look on his face was slightly enjoyable. "yes we can get in here but we will have to be quiet" she said then moved her dagger in and unlocked it. she stopped moving as she waited then slowly opened the window. "the room should be the one at the hall" she whispered then started to move in the hall. she didnt go any farther as she waited for him, she looked over at him then back down the hall.
