What productivity Apps do you use?

Right now, I have 3 I like and they're mostly free to use(because I'm broke).

Finch is a cute feel good one and is more geared towards well being and both breaking down goals to small tasks as well as setting broad, long term goals. I use this one as a general routine app and I love the dopamine rush of customizing my little birb, his house, and his pets.

I also use Focus Plant for the focus timer. The only thing is if I need to look up anything on my phone or use my phone while the timer is going, the whitelist DOES NOT work and the focus plant app will threaten to fail your timer in 20 seconds if you don't return to its app. So that sucks. But if you want to limit your phone time and need to do work outside of online/your phone, the timer is very good at keeping you from those things so you don't get distracted. I also enjoy the dopamine of opening treasure chests and planting different plants with different essences. Occasionally this one bugs me with purchase prompts but you just x out of them and can continue using the app like normal.

And lastly, I love Today, the cleaning app. I hate feeling like I am doing the same chores every day and it's hard to keep track of when things need to be done when they need to be done on a regular cycle. This helps me set up what tasks need to be done for each room and set up how often they need to be done. I like looking at the list set up and seeing all the different chores and tasks I need to do today. There's also a bit of wiggle room with tasks you fail to get done. Sometimes I am just lazy about the harder to accomplish stuff and have let them slide for 2-3 days overdue. There isn't much penalty honestly for that little bit of wiggle room waiting for me to get my act together lol. I don't know what it looks like if I leave stuff for a week though... ^^;;

So what do you use? If not apps, do you use journals or charts or something?

Honestly, I use Tasks the most!

It's a simple app, but very versatile in the way you can organize lists and set your own recurring times for things you need to get done. I can even set things months in advance and it'll remind me right on time.

i typically use the app monday or notion for the work day if i have any freelance work to do, but the daily one i use is called finch! you can write your daily thoughts, there is a set of tasks that it tells you to do just to get your self out of bed (really useful for my mental health), and the more you do, the more it contributes to the growth of your app companion!

I adore Finch! I tried Habitca for a bit but within 6 months I hit a wall of accomplishments and I didn't like how MUCH of the cool stuff to collect was held behind the paywall. I really enjoy Finch because there is SO MUCH to do and grow. You can make your birb travel to so many different places, and there are so many styles of clothes, furniture, and colors to choose from without having to pay the premium package. A gamified habit app without a foreseeable end. I have been using it for a month and I have probably hit about 50% exploring of one location. That has so much potential and carryover for the year.

I like how straightforward it is and the future schedule and alerts for things. I use a calender whiteboard for my monthly days but... Yeah, planning stuff for October right now? I just kinda gotta hope I remember. So it would be nice to have an app to schedule stuff like that.

i use like the notes app! or the checkbox feature on googledocs. feeling prehistoric rn

but to track hours spent on a task (i.e. for school--to see how many hours i spend writing, grading, etc.), i like to use toggl track, and it's free!!
i could see someone using it just for self-care reasons, like setting a timer on how long you walk/read/no screentime/etc., and it gives interesting data breakdowns

hi there!

i personally use bearable, which is more for tracking your day. i use it to keep track of my diet (it does not involve calorie counting), my sleep, my mood, what i did that day, and it also comes with a gratitude journal! it's very much free (though it does occasionally ask for you to buy premium) and does not have any ads. it's pretty customizable too! if this sounds interesting to you at all, dear reader, try it out! journaling has helped immensely with my mental health.

i use notion for everything. <3

i use it at work, for journaling, for tracking my rp threads (kanban format is super helpful with this specifically), backing up my rp threads, and drafting replies. it's also just my primary note app on my phone.

bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it does just about everything.

eta: i use finch too, because it's cute!

Getting myself ready for a doctor's visit in April(a nutritionist; not only do I dress like Tony Soprano but I kinda look like him too 😅) so I downloaded this because I needed an easy way to track my activity and diet without putting pressure on myself with knowing how many calories and stuff is in everything. Mostly to just see it all in one place and eventually a chart of some kind. Thanks for the recommendation!
