Hello people, I am Velprix and obviously I am new here! I have always liked to RP during class with friends, so now that I can do it here I am very excited. I am a video game junkie (specifically Nintendo) and like to help make up stories that are both exciting and meaningful. I can't wait to get started!

Unlike the Pirate code, they aren't more like suggestions but rules that we take a bit seriously. If, however, you've got a few pieces of eight you'd like to swing our way, we're always more than happy to take it. (I said, the rules weren't suggestions, never said we weren't piratey mate).

Now then, I know that you have to answers that you're wanting answered now and the first is, you can join any RP that is open. You can find the different RP genres here: Roleplays | RpNation.com - Best Roleplay Forum


They're set up by genre so if you're looking for that Belgariad fandom RP (sorry, none yet exists here) then you'll know you aren't going to be looking in the futuristic genre. Each genre has an interest check at the top of the page and you can peruse this to see if anyone is wanting to create an RP.


If you are trolling the RPs and you just gotta make your own futuristic version of the Elenium, then you can pick the genre (future or fandom? I don't know!) and create an interest check. In the interest check you can tell the whole world about your RP and what you want to do with it. If you get enough people to say Aye! then you create your RP.


Do NOT under any, uncertain circumstances create an interest check in the RP forum! Make sure that you create your interest check in the interest check forums! If you create an interest check in the RP forums then you have just created an RP and all the threads that go along with that. Then administration has to go through and delete all those threads. That is a hassle and a pain in the rear so please make sure that you are posting an interest check in the interest check forums ONLY. I, personally, would have used txtGreeting.Text = "Hello World", but that's because I've only studied C#, Alice, and C. lol.


I too and new, but I thought to say hello to a fellow (I'm assuming) programmer-ish person. And one who is conveniently a fan of Nintendo games as well! Only question left... which ones?

Ha ha (about being a programmer...) I'm not very skilled and only really know the basics. But I can do some stuff in JavaScript and Html. But Nintendo? Let's see... Mario, Zelda, Pokémon, Metroid (Oh yeah love that series), Donkey Kong Country (Nostalgia and the new ones), Fire Emblem, and I think Metroid is worth mentioning again.

I am in school for it, so I know the feeling. I pretty much just know C#, but I will be learning Java and VB, and prob HTML next semester (like all at once... not looking forward...).


Love Zelda, only ever played one game tho, lol. Rage quit Fire Emblem Awakening, I play Mario at everyone elses house except mine, I used to play the heck out of Metroid (Zero Mission and Fusion, GBA), and owned 1 Donkey Kong game once. Oh, and Pokemon. Still love me some Pokemon. (would totes b down for a pokemon rp at some point, just PM me!)

Javascript is slightly more tolerable, mostly because I used it for a site contest here to create a submission form (deployed as a web page applet on Google Projects). Anything that indirectly makes RPing cooler is a worthy sacrifice.
