Princess Cronus
A long time ago, there was a great war - the Olympians and the Titans, as well as their various allies, waged war against each other. The opposing sides, lead by Zeus and Cronus respectively, battled fiercely. At first, it seemed that the Titans won, but the Olympians fought against the odds and claimed victory.
The Titans were sealed in Tartarus as eternal prisoners, but one day, Cronus escaped his confines.
The Olympians were furious. Zeus wanted his brethren to search for Cronus. This word reached other parts of the world of Greek Legend, allowing the rise of beings such as Typhon thought to be long gone to rise up and seek the one they call their true leader.
However, something strange happened, very strange indeed...
In, Kuri-shi, a small town in a land on the East. One night, a young girl fell from the sky, much like a feather, landing in a young boy's arms.
She remembers not a thing but her name, and when she opens her eyes, all she can ask is:
"My name... is Saturn... what is yours?"

Posting requirements
Minimum posting is once a week. If you need to be absent for a good length, tell me and I'll understand. Since this is arc-seperated, anyone who isn't part of the 'main duo' is allowed to skip out on certain arcs, unless they're needed. As a story that intends to run long, it's inevitable that we'll hit a point where the basket has too many eggs.
Characters
In terms of characters you're allowed to use, well, here's a basic rundown. The primary condition is that it must be a Greco-Roman figure. (Unless you're just doing humans. Powerless little humans who bystand and chill with the big bois. And big girls.) The characters you will play would naturally be characters who have reason to ally with Cronus, or fight against Zeus, such as Titans not stored in Tartarus (Atlus, Prometheus, Epimetheus, etc.), the children of Typhon (Kerberos, Orthros, Ladon, The Sphinx), and a few assorted others. The ones who fulfil this but cannot be played are the Titans locked in Tartarus, as well as the generations before the Titans such as Primordials.
Additionally, you can be a human. Humans in these big boi settings tend to be emotional support and the smart ones, not so much of brute on-par fighting machines, so do it at your own risk or own entertainment. They go to school, they own shops and inns, they pay taxes. It's kind of like humans in literally every Transformers series unless you're Sari or those Headmasters kids or those Kiss Players. You get me.
The human we need most is the japanese kiddo that our titular character ends up living with, mentioned in the plotline briefing. He, alongside Saturn, will be the 'main duo' of the story. This character is required for the RP to start.
Since we're talking about characters, there is something you need to know about the different types of beings and the forms they can assume.
Gods such as Titans and Olympians can assume a wide array of forms. However, the less affinity they have with the form they assume, the weaker they are. For instance, in the form of a horse or dolphin, Poseidon is still pretty powerful. But as a fly or a cat, not so, even if he can still hold his own. For all intents and purposes, the Gods have as much of an affinity to humans as their symbolic animals when taking this into account.
Their bestial offspring, referred to as "Divine Monsters" in many parts of the -verse, which are basically monsters or beasts with one or two God parents such as the Kerberos, Hydra, the Pegasus, and the ram that wears the Golden Fleece have a much weaker version of this ability, in which they can shift between their monstrous true forms and humanoid forms. These humanoid forms are close to humans, but they have residual traits from their monstrous forms, such as sea serpents having fins in place of ears, tails protruding extending from one's spine, or even horns and wings. Multiple heads, strangely, will either manifest as hand puppets, actual seperate bodies, alternate personalities or simply not manifest at all in humanoid form. Much like their parent/s, they are immortal, or have an immortal soul or half, which means that even if they have been said to die in Legend, they do not truly perish and will be reborn. Outside of the Greco-Roman realm, this will encompass Fenrir and Jormungandr.
If we're talking about humans who are the sons and daughters of gods such as Perseus, Heracles and more - nah, they don't have that.
For now, I am not limiting the number of characters you can play, but please make sure you can juggle them all!
Non-playable Characters
The characters that will be NPC-only as well as our player characters' opposition are the ones who would naturally ally with Zeus and the Olympians, mostly Greek heroes and the children of the gods. While you can't sign up as them, you can play them down the line under certain conditions i.e. as arc antagonists.
Setting
The RP will take place in the small Japanese town of Kuri-shi, which strangely has Roman statues of deities on one end of the town and has Shinto shrines on the other. Roman deities are worshipped here the same way minor Shinto gods are. We will be leaving town for other places, yes.
The town is so small that there are only two schools - a primary school and a school that carries both middle and high school classes.
While other mythologies do exist in this world and will appear in some shape or form, this RP will limit player characters to Greco-Roman from start to end (may allow Egyptian and Lovecraftian later) because I have might have plans for everything else. So if you ever ask about this, I'll know you didn't read this bit.
This RP is, after all, part of a larger Modern Fantasy universe aptly known as the Nirvanaverse.
The roleplay is going for an anime-style/Light Novel/urban JRPG aesthetic.
