"Gladly," he whispered back, before slipping a pair of earbuds out if hi socket and plugging them in to his phone.

He had almost fallen asleep an hour later, but was jerked back away when the plane rumbled suspiciously. Careful not to wake Davin, he peered over the man to look out the window again before a quick flash of light made him jerk back in horror, accompanied by a loud boom if thunder.

No no no no no, God no, Not here, Not now...

He crouched forward, pressing his hands against his ears and shaking slightly as the sky grew significantly darker outside. His head was beginning to hurt, he had pressed so hard, but he'd do anything to block out the storm. Usually he'd be ok, he'd tolerate it - but in a plane? Not likely. Will began shaking uncontrollably in fear, whimpering slightly as his mind brought up all the horrible possibilities of the situation.

"Mmm..don't take my porkchop..." Davin rolled with the rumbling, being woken up by a clap of thunder. He looked over at Will, in a state of confusion. Then it all snapped back to him.

"Will, baby...it's okay. I'm here." He cooed, holding his baby boy to his own chest.

"I can't, I can't!" He yelled, struggling against Davin's grip. "We are going to die, I am going to die..." His eyes were wide, frantic, as he gasped for air, convinced of the plane's demise in his mind. People around them started to stare, not that he was calm enough to notice.

"No...I won't let you die. Even if I have to guide the plane down myself." Davin said, kissing Will's forehead continuously. "You'll be okay." It didn't matter that everyone was staring at them-- Davin wasn't leaving Will's side, ever.

Eventually Will just broke down completely, burying his face into Dav's chest, and holding on to the man as tight as possible, refusing to face the outside world for the time being as he trembled in fear. When the storm finally did subside, his hold relaxed and he fell asleep on Davin's lap.

Davin just sat there and patted Will's head for the rest of the trip. As the plane touched the ground, Davin sighed in relief. They were.finally in the clear...or so he thought.

Will woke back up when the wheels touched the ground loudly. He sat up, running his eyes and leaning on Dav's shoulder, when he remembered the earlier events of the flight. "Gosh, I'm so sorry..." He said quickly, heat creeping into his cheeks as he sat up straight, completely embarrassed.

"Quit apologizing, love." Davin smiled. "I'm just glad you're okay. It really worries me, ya know. I need you to know I'm not gonna let anything happen to you." he said softly, "Never."

Will blinked, nodding at his partner's words. "I know you won't..it's just, I can't help it," he said with a frown. But that was before he caught a glimpse of the city. His city. He leaned down, kissing Dav sweetly and tugging the man up at the same time. He pulled away for a moment, straightening Dav's shirt collar before Taking his hand. "Ready?" He said, squeezing his hand and gazing back at the man brightly.

"I dont have much of an option." Davin smiled. He stared out of the window, taking in the skyline and the beauty. Even while stqtionary, the city seemed to glimmer with hopes and life. "Bring on the scrutiny." he said, kissing Will's forehead and waiting on further instructions.

" Two things. Remember to breathe," he said seriously, as they got closer and closer to the exit. "And remember to smile," he finished, and not a moment too soon.

The paparazzi may have been demented, but they weren't stupid. His misleading posts had only gotten rid of about half of them, but If they stayed here too long, the others would flock back.

Will resisted the urge to shut his eyes as the cameras flashed and things were pushed into his face. If was enough to make him claustrophobic, and he'd been through this many times before. He kept a tight grip on Davin's hand, refusing to let him get pulled away.

Will sighed in relief when he spotted a familiar blonde pushing through the crowd, among four security guys that trailed behind her.

"Gwen!" He shouted over the questions and the noise, and she looked toward him before pointing to her left. The security guys began pushing back the mob if people, revealing a chance to escape.

He nodded at her, spying the open elevator and rushing towards it when he found the part in the crowd. He got inside, tugging his lover in behind him before he closed the doors and pressed the button for the garage. He slumped against the wall, running a spot where a reporter had smacked him in the face with a huge microphone. "Well," he said with a pained smile. "It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be..."

"...what?" Davin asked. He was visibly affected by all the attention, loosing what little color he had in his face. "What was that?! Who are they?! And why do we need four large men?!" He asked, waving his hand at the people who just stood silently against the wall.

"Protection," he said. "The paps can get pretty dangerous sometimes... Wouldn't want anything bad to happen to ya," he added. He kissed Dav's cheek, worried about how he man was taking all this. When the doors opened, they followed the burly men to a waiting car. He slipped in the back with Davin, snuggling in next to him. "Are you ok?"

"Yes....I think." Davin replied, taking his lover's hand. He glanced over at the blonde, who seemed to be ignoring his existence.

"So what is happening next?" Davin asked, taking off his shades to reveal widened eyes.

"I would prefer being told how bright a bulb can flash, before hand." he gripped, hearing a distinct click in the background.

Will smiled. "We're going to my house, he said, Hugging Dav tightly. "Don't worry, I'm sure my parents will love you," he reassured him, looking up at the German with big green eyes. He was actually fairly confident his parents would like his boyfriend, apart from the whole drug dealer thing. He would leave that up to Dav to reveal...

"I'm okay." Davin lied. Quite frankly, the prospect of the constant cameras scared him a little. He liked his privacy, thrived on it. Back home, he was able to kiss Will as he pleased. Get coffee as he felt like it. That simplicity was done for.

Davin let go of William's hand, lost in his thoughts, and entered the vehicle. In it's roominess, he felt miniscule. Adjusting his tie, Davin realized that Will had dressed him for the cameras. 'Cheeky bastard.' He thought as he glared out of one of the passenger windows.

Will's smile disappeared when Davin let go of his hand, and he felt a pang of guilt in his chest. He wasn't ok, apparently, judging by what Will observed, but maybe it wasn't just the paps that we're bothering him. "Dav?" He said, looking over at him again. "What's wrong, hun?"

"Nothing baby." Davin sighed, putting his glasses back on. He stretched out to put his arm around Will, but caught glimpse of the bodyguards and decided against it. "How far out is the drive?" he aaked the blonde in a rather clipped tone.

She glared at him, lip curling in distaste. "Why? Wanna walk?"

Will groaned, giving her a look. "Look, you've established how much you hate me years ago. Do me a favor and leave Dav out of it, Kay?" He huffed, crossing his arms before he replied to Davin himself. "Just a bit longer, maybe ten more minutes at the most."

"Look, Bimboella," Davin started tenatively, "I don't know you. I clearly shouldn't get to know a nasty creature like you. So just keep my name out of the tabloids and I'll continue to ignore your existence." He huffed and crossed his arms. Davin had entered the rare but deadly bitch-face mode. "Can we start moving? I need a Snickers." He said, leaning his head on Will's shoulder.

"Can't control the traffic babe," he said, turning to kiss the top of Davin's head and ignoring the rude hand gesture Gwen made at them. He sighed, crossing his legs again. "Bleh. Chocolate," he said, making a face. "How do people eat that stuff..."

-30mins later-

Will sat on the white leather couch in the living room next to Dav, waiting for his parents to come down after the maid went up to alert them. His leg was bouncing again, both nervous and excited. He looked up sharply when e heard the first footsteps on the stairs. His mother was first, her wavy auburn hair pulled up behind her head. She raised a hand to her mouth in disbelief before she hurried down the rest of the steps. "William?!"

He had barely stood up when she crossed the room quickly to envelop him in a tight, loving embrace. He hugged her back, not realizing just how much he had missed his mother until he did so. "Hey mom," he said once she released him. "An dad," he added when His father clapped him on the back, gazing at him with their shared emerald-grey eye color.

"We've missed you so much," his mother said, and his father nodded. "Where," he started, clearing his throat. "Where have you BEEN?"

Will sighed, bracing himself. "I'll explain that next, he assured them, before going back to the couch. "But first, I want you to meet my boyfriend, Davin Blumen," he announced, sitting next to Dav again and placing a hand over his encouragingly.

His parents exchanged an unreadable look before sitting down on the opposite couch. He wasn't surprised, seeing as they could hide emotions better than he could. If they disapproved, he would hear about it later...

Will's father reached across the table after a moment, extending his hand to Davin. "Charles Sanderson, nice to meet you."

"Hello, sir." Davin smiled, pulling the man in for a hug. "I see where your son gets his moxie from." he mised happily. 'The power to command a room so easily and effectively.' he thought. The man wasn't intimidating, but Dav knew he was mostly business. Hopefully he'd be able to crack his father-in-law's tight lips one day.

"And he must get his beauty from.you, ma'am." Davin smiled to Mrs. Sanderson. He was radiant with her years and looked as if she could crack her voice like a whip and coo a dragon to sleep in the same instance.

"I'm glad to finally be meeting the both of you." Dav said, a genuine warmth spreading in his chest as he sat back down next to William.

This was going even better than he'd imagined it. He watched, impressed with Dav as he greeted and complimented his parents, even making his mother blush. Will smiled, taking Davin's hand again when he sat down, before turning his attention back to his parents. He took a deep breath, going over how he'd initially planned to say this in his mind.

"Look, I know I've been away for years. Apparently I have an annoying habit of disappearing on people I care about," He said, feeling more and more guilty as he said the words.

"I...I had a problem. And it wasn't something trivial either, It was dangerous," He continued, deciding to just get it over with. "Honestly, I'd have been dead or worse by now If I hadn't met Davin on that island. I couldn't come back here, not while that was going on with me. I'd have gone crazy -if I hadn't already lost my mind- if I put your lives in danger."

He swallowed, blinking back the tears that threatened to spill over his lashes as he finished. "He helped me, and I got through it, if even just barely. I'm so sorry, I should have called, or written, or something - but I couldn't trust myself until now..." he looked at his feet as he finished, not wanting to see his parent's faces for fear of rejection. The minute of silence that followed felt like an hour to him.

"William..."

He looked back up upon hearing his father's voice. The older man studied him with a piercingly intelligent gaze, searching out the truth on his face, before sighing. "I'm not sure I even want to know what problem you're talking about, as long as you're not in trouble with the law. And if what you say it true...well the important thing is that you're here now," he said, standing up slowly. He smiled at his son, who breathed out a sigh of relief. His mother nodded along with that her husband had said.

"I am so glad you came home Will...you know what? This calls for a celebration," she decided, and she too stood up from her seat. "Your father was just about to head out to a board meeting, so w can all meet back here for dinner? And I'll invite your Aunt too, since I know little Sean has missed you," she said, a twinkle in her eye as she laid out the plans in her mind. Will brightened at the mention of his cousin, who had to be about eight years old now. Mrs Sanderson came around the coffee table, and bent down to whisper something in Davin's ear before leaving. "Thank you, for bringing our baby boy back to us...you're welcome to stay as long as you'd like."

"Thank you, ma'am." Davin replied, watching the woman walk away. "Well...that was way easier than I imagined." He huffed in relief. "You have your mother's eyes....and your father's jaw." He smiled, taking his lover's face within his palm. "And, I get the feeling they like me." He finished, sneaking another explosive kiss from Will's lips.
