GhastlySquash poke)"I'm Nia. Nia Davion." she smiled a bit at the introduction. "And don't worry! No one is dying today! Not on my watch!" she said, determined to get out. She paused and looked to the girl with a confused expression. "Why avoid cops? Just walk though. It's their job to get us out, and it's the fastest. C'mon. I'll do the talking." she nodded with her head towards the police cars, signaling for Aya to follow. "Also. I don't know any other way out. Unless we jump the fence of the parking lot." Nia explained. She wasn't sure why Aya was afraid of cops. Was she wanted? Was she supposed to be under house arrest? Did she just not like cops?
Yukio smirked at Ember and decided to really let it go for today since she managed to actually speak for once. "Don't worry about it I can see where you're coming from so it's fine...." He rubbed the back of his head as he felt a breeze it felt somewhat odd to him, he saw the girl getting hit by a tennis ball and would quickly catch the girl before she fell to the ground. "You weren't kidding when you say you're having a difficult day....are you feeling okay?" He asked her as he looked around wondering where that tennis ball came from.
Ember saw the tennis ball making contact with Enora she wasn't able to prevent it from happening, she would look quickly look around. "Huh? Where did that tennis ball come from? Yukio do you know?" She asked her brother as she walked up to him. "Nice catch though but maybe you should've focused more on the-" She would quickly shut up before he got mad her.
"Yeah! Just walk with purpose. That purpose being, to get out of that crazy mall! Which we are doing!" Nia picked up the pace into a light jog, as the pair got closer to the police cars Nia pointed behind them to the mall. "People are going crazy with their quirks in there! You guys gotta stop them it's suuuuper weird! We're okay though! Just wanna get outta here!" she explained as they passed through, the cops saying some things into their radios about the update. After a little more distance had been gained Nia stopped and turned to Aya with a bright grin."See! Easy!" she looked around at their surroundings. "Now what?" she asked with a shrug."Oh...okay..." Aya took a deep breath. She was right. Cops are nice. Cops would help them. And she'd be safe. Not at all in danger. She quietly followed Nia's lead, deciding it would be better if she did the talking.
The truth was, Aya was absolutely terrified of anything, and cops were some of the scariest people she met. Always asking so many questions, and making her feel nervous. And when she felt nervous, and scared, she could hear that thing calling to her to be released. "So uh...they won't like ask us questions right? I get really nervous around cops."

(sorry for the delay. Had tests to study for)
"Well. Better you lose a job than lose your life." When she brought up quirks Nia blinked and glanced back to the cops for a moment. "Y-yeah. We should probably go somewhere... not here." Nia was pretty shit at lying. She rubbed her hands together for a moment. "Man. That was weird. So many quirks being used willy nilly. Such flashy ones too. Don't know what convinced them to do that. Like that star tunnel? Talk about cool. Whoever that was can open up an observatory or something." she said with a chuckle. "Are you okay by the way? You hit that stone guy kinda hard."
GhastlySquash
"Yeah. Having a quirk is hard." she blinked and processed for a moment. "A-at least I assume so." she quickly corrected with a nervous giggle. "Imagine like. Melting things you touch. Or anything you can't control well really." she continued to walk through the parking lot, texting her dad she needed a pick up as she walked.Aya gave a slight chuckle. "Oh yeah, he didn't hit me that hard thankfully. But I do appreciate the concern. Those quirks, as nice as they are...they should be regulated yes? Like rules and stuff." Rules made everyone safe. And it made her safe too. If she transformed when that stone guy hit her, Aya was certain she'd be dead by now. Her other form would have gladly tried to rip that poor boy to shreds.
"Anyway, I think it was the mob mentality. If police focus on one guy with quirks, they won't focus on the rest of them, right? So people just want to use it just to try it out. Personally I'm glad I don't have a quirk. It must be so difficult to live a life like that, right?" She was lying of course. But this Nia girl didn't seem to have any quirks. And if she knew Aya had a quirk, she'd probably run faster than she did in that haunted house.

"In the time I've lived here. Not really. It's a first for me too." She tells Aya with a small smile. "Well. Glad to know we go to the same school! Now we have more things in common! That's great!" she says cheerily. "Do you need a ride, by the way? My dad's coming to pick me up.""Yeah, could you imagine?" Aya sighed. She was fine. She wasn't in any danger. "Hey, by the way I think I've seen you around school. I um...I'm a bit new there and all. Is this city always this crazy?" She felt bad for critiquing her city so harshly, but she has to ask after all.
