Are you characters part of the rebellion or are they in their designated areas?

Partheon has been under the new king's rule for five years and so the wizards have been imprisoned for just as long

Since the new king has taken over, any creature that was not in its correct zone within the first thirty days was immediately put to death. This disgusting nature is how they are all treated and usually when a member of the royal family or their guards comes across a creature they are killed in cold blood.

Drakilian - Dragon-chameleon-humanoid, they've been created by dark wizards 40 years ago, so they're a highly new and endangered species. Only 14 of them exist currently, evenly measured out as females and males. They cannot reproduce, since they have no reproductive organs. They are made purely by dark magic, though the process of making them has been put to a halt since the end of the war. It takes 10 years to fragment their existence together(they are born when they are 10 years old practically). They are all gifted with human brains, structures, and skins, as well as reptilian outer skins, diets, and abilities. Every so often the drakilians gain a power that their creators are familiar with. Drakilians are able to live for at least 200 years, or at least that is the estimated life span. No one is for sure how long they are able to live a healthy life yet. Since drakilians were made from wizards, they have a weak connections with magic, but still a connection nonetheless, which makes their powers harder to master and difficult to use.

The Ritual - Becoming a wizard is quite the daunting task. You can not be born into magic but rather you have to go through a rather dangerous process to acquire it. This process can be forced onto them or they may willingly participate. The process consists of a climb up a mountain to one of the seven temples in the world where the ritual can occur. Once they are up there they must be blessed by the wizard the resides in the temple. If they make it this far, they are then given a vial of unicorn blood to drink. Drinking this blood is exceptionally painful because it is toxic to humans and the chance of living through the ritual is an extremely low percentage. If the human dies then their body will be burned and the ashes will be stored in the temple. If they live through this excruciating process, then they will be granted the magic they desired. This ritual must be done before the human hits puberty or death is certain. This usually means the humans being put through this are between eight and thirteen. Poor districts are especially desperate for wizards in the family and will sometimes force their children to climb the mountain even if they do not wish to do so.

Wizards and Magic - A wizard's magical ability is unique to the individual. When they are granted their magic it will usually radiate off the human's personality and work to become something that fits with the human. Whatever type of magic it becomes is what the wizard is restricted too. Ex) A magician who is exceptional with nature could not control water as well). While Wizards will usually get two types of magic, they are usually within the same overarching category. Magic has very few boundaries because the ritual ensures that all wizards are pure of heart. Most die because they desire to use the magic in a selfish manner. Although there are loopholes to this since humans are so young when their magic is decided and evil wizards do exist in this world. That is where the boundaries come in. Magic in itself is somewhat of its own presence. While it is an extension of the human there are things it can not do. It can not be used in large amounts within certain timeframes and it can not directly kill a person. Magic takes a great deal of energy even for the most talented wizards, and to use it in large amounts is exceptionally draining. To use it in large amounts multiple times in a day would put the wizard in a comatose state and potentially kill them from over-exertion. Magic also has a funny way of coming to life in that it will avoid any direct killing shot. Evil wizards find loopholes around magic's purities to make it easier to kill with it, but in all reality it is virtually impossible to command magic to deliver the final blow to a person or creature.

Equus Gem - Aside from its boundaries, magic also has a substance that may halt its ability to work entirely. This is the crushed powder of a unicorn horn. It weakens wizards greatly and in turn makes it impossible for them to use their magical ability. This crushed powder is most often condensed into a gem form known as the Equus Gem. It is pure white and when held into the light will glint with all colors of the rainbow. When the king stormed the castle he had collars especially made for wizards. Each collar has a gem embedded in the leather. This color was secured with metal locks, and the leather was reinforced with a charm by the king's personal wizard. He worked hard to make sure every wizard was imprisoned with these collars and even forced one onto his own personal one, afraid of the power they all had​

Fairies and Pixies can kinda look however you want them too. I'm making a faerie that's gonna be normal human height with wings though lol

Avian can be made but if you look at Drakilian Lore and how they're created by black magic an avian creature would be something similar to that!
