Realistic or Modern Power School

Riley grabbed her bag and left the dorm trudging down the stairs and out the front door unzipping her backpack pulling out her skateboard and started down the road looking forward not looking back taking a look around down passing a cafe and went into the music shop next door got a couple of CDs and was out walking next door riding on her skateboard grabbing a coffee.

he had waited silently, noticing the small details on the bus. No one of course noticed him, he wanted it that way, it made him feel at ease knowing that no one knew of him. But it also made him feel empty on the inside, as if something was torn from him for not interacting with the world he called beautifull almost every morning and night. Taking a step outside, sol noticed several things, not much people were talkng to each other, maybe there trauma's if they had any were causing them to fear speech itself. Sol chuckled at this though at he walked briskly into the building, a key flitting to his hand in only seconds. Taking a deep breath he started off towards his new dorm, maybe this could be different.

Yayna yawned. "There must be something around here I can do." She hopped up from the bed and stretched. She felt a small tinge of regret for the way she had treated Natalie. But it had to be that way. Yayna could in no way become close to someone. She slowly walked out of the dorm room, shutting the door behind her. She returned to the mirror she had seen on her way up. Staring into it yet again. She pressed her hand upon the mirror where her left eye was and slowly dragged it down the mirror, her fingertips leaving water smudges. She took a deep breath and smiled, noticing another person walking by. Water still remained on the mirror as she moved towards the new, well he was new to her anyways, boy. "Hey." she smiled wide at Solarice, mischief in her eyes.

Nat downs the rest of her coffee, then lays down a tip for the waitress. She stands up and nods her goodbye to Damien, before walking out of the coffee shop. She looks around to see if there was anywhere else she would like to go, then shrugs and walks back towards the dorms. She had left her cell phone there and she was in the mood to listen to music.

When she gets to her floor she sees Yayna stopped and talking to a new guy with white hair. She quickly puts her hood over her head to hide her face from Yayna, as not to cause her to make a scene.

Ashlynne had gotten what she wanted from the cafe, with a satisfied smile on her face as she sipped the hot drink, she sat at a lone table where no one else was sitting as she continued to enjoy her hot chocolate.

Sol stopped in hyess tracks, shifting towards the voice, each movemdnt of his body stirred something around him, the school papers for band practice fluttered. The tempature dropped.... and sol's eyes became just a bit brighter, he needed not to interact with peo People much, but he had to at least say high to a few people. It would seem weird if he did noT talk at all, "yes, were you talking to me?" His tone was soft, yet a hint of seriousness lay beneath. He planned the conversation in his head and he beleived that it would end quickly, that is if this girl did not mind his weird way of talking, you see solarice had trouble speaking to people. Not realy his fault, it was just the luck of the draw, and he drew the bad stick.

Yayna laughed. "Well, yea. You're the only one around here. I think everybody else has gone off to the cafes and whatnot around here." She noticed Natalie walking towards the dorm and moved over to let her by. She felt sorry for the way she had acted, but life was life. And Yayna had made it clear long ago before she came to this school that she was Queen Bitch around here. "What's your dorm number?" she asked. Yayna was a big flirt at times. She would often tell women that they were "cute", only to mess with their psych though. She actually did indeed prefer the men. This guy was cute. Not just physically, but the way he talked reminded her of the sweet, simple things.

If he recalled correctly, he was to be in dorm 28 on the mens side, of course he hoped he would be alone. But hoping got you thinking like you could do it all, so he whisked these thoughts from his head "room twenty eight, it seems that I will be of the opposite side of you though" the petty joke came out rough, he was nt used to it, but he smiled anyway. He was trying his best to just be himself, but he did not know himself that well, hell pretty much most of his life was a dark sleep he had been put in that he knew nothing of, sol looked at the floor and tried not to flip, the floor was slowly turning a darker shade, his emotions were being thrown around a bit and he needed it to stop. He loked around Nd did notice that what she said was true, really no one was around, "my names solarice, mbut you can cal me.....s....s....sol" he stuttered out his nickname, as if he did not want her to know it. He felt stupid and weird taking to this girl, shifting were he stood every know and then, he was also a bit scared, he di not want to hurt anyone, but to much interaction with people ussually caused the people talking to him to get hurt.

Yayna smiled. "I'm Yayna. I don't really think anyone could make a nickname out of that." she laughed and noticed that Sol was shifting around nervously. "Hey, don't be nervous. I'm not that bad!" Was she? She couldn't help but think about what the others might think of her. She shrugged. "At least.." she looked down at the ground. "I don't know."

"What brought you here? I mean, if you don't mind?" she asked, her eyes filled with wonder.

He tried to think of a way of phrasing the reason he was here nicely "because I have no where else to go" it was the truth, shame filled him as he thought of what he had done to the people who had loved him, there lives were cut to short. Thinking about it brought the shifting to stop, but he became quite and when he would speak it would be very tangible "well yayna, if its not pressing the sudject matter to much, what brought you here" he had not a clue of what else to say, but it felt right, the simple conversation let his thoughts ponder on what was happening, this year was already starting for the better.

Yanya nodded. "Same as you. It's all that's left." she looked down, tears in her eyes. Memories flooded, a perfect choice of wording, of water pouring from every watery surface, dragging her first friend down. A tear escaped and Yayna quickly rubbed it away. "I don't even know if this place will work for me." she quietly said, so quiet as if not to hear. She stared up at Sol. She liked his name. Sol, like the sun. "Well, if you'd like, I can walk with you to your dorm. And maybe afterwards we can talk over some coffee or such?" she was so hoping he'd say yes. She craved friendship. But she was so scared. Scared of being hurt.

He smiled again, she was already acting friendly towards him, maybe he could finnally accept a friend into his life, maybe he wouldnt hurt her like he had hurt the "yeah that would be fun, but can I buy the coffee" he wanted to be polite as he could, never knew if friendships would come toppling overnyour head with no remorse. Turning towards the male dorms he noticed something, his ability wasnt acting up, and right as he noticed, it tuned on. Trying to suppress itnhe took a couple steps forward and winced in pain. Why did this have to happen when it was going all so well.

Yayna smiled. "I guess that would be okay." she started walking with him and turned to notice him wincing as if he was in pain. "What's wrong? Are you alright?" she asked. She was starting to see a side of her that she hadn't seen since she was six.

"Yeah... im fine" blood filled in his mouth as he said this, and he chocked it back down. It felt as if his body w as on fire for resisting its naturaul ways, and it was making him cringe and twist in pain "lets get to my dorm" as he said this a droplet of blood fell from jis mouth and touched the floor, but sol was already walking away not noticing that the spot the blood fell on, the floor was being corroded. As his steps started to slow for yayna he turned to her "so.... whats your ability, if you dont mind me asking" he thought that maybe hers would make him less scary.

Yayna looked down as a drop of blood fell onto the floor. She hastened to catch up and stopped as he turned to her. "Oh. I can manipulate water." she looked up at him. "It was awful at first. I noticed it when I was about seven. A lot of things happened..." she trailed off. "But I learned that if she relaxed and used it more often, it became easier. I'm usually always relaxed." She stared at Sol. "What's your poison?" she asked, referring to his powers. She didn't necessarily consider powers poison, but sometimes, they seemed that way.

Natalie stops walking and turns around as she listens in on Yayna's conversation with the new comer. She tilts her head, wondering why could open up to him so easily. Then a smirk popped onto her face, and she had to cover her mouth to keep her from laughing. Yayna truly liked this guy, and from what she's seen of Yayna, she didn't like very many people. She stops listening when a droplet of blood hits the floor and it begins to erode. "um, ew." She says quietly and slips into her dorm unseen

" I have no name for my power, so lets just say I am mystery that you will uave to solve" he chuckled at this, s he had given him her power, but he had no clue what his power was, he knew it affected the world itself. But he had no name for it, no idea of its potential, thus the re ason he was scared of himself, noticing a girl stopping he lets out a sigh. He had let his blood drop, he would go and find that girl sometime and appoligize for the unlikely weird encounter with his blood, one trait of his powers that he knew, was with out controll they were always dangerous. He started to twidle his fingers around and noticed he was letting go of energy as the papers on the wall lifted, as if a draft had pushed them up, he knew better though and kept a wary eye. He would make sure to controll his abilitys at any cost, "zlso I wouldnt consider my abiltysmpoision, more like a hurricane or disaster waiting to happen." His voice soft he let off another chuckle, at least he would be ablemt enjoy himself here.

Yayna smiled. "Yea, it's just," she shakes her head. "An expression I suppose." This guy was a complete mystery. Someone who kept his past, even his presence, a complete mystery. Yayna looked around, noticing that the papers were lifting from the wall. Odd, she thought. She looked at the door they had passed. "Room 26. We're close." she said, smiling at Sol.

He nodded right as they walked up, he let his ability take over this part, the key lifted rfom his hand and entered the keyhole, it unlocked and the key flew back to his hand, he let out a deep breath and the door open. He walked in and did not notice anyone in the room currently, he was happy that he would most likely be alone. Looking at yayna he tried to shrug "guess this is it, I really had nothing with me when I came here, so lets either get going. Or we can talk for a little" he felt as if he chocked out the last part, he wanted to seem normal, but as he sat down the chair instantly blackened and fell apart "well..... shit" he let himself sit up on the floor and looked up at yayna, and he laughed "at least you know how my abilitys affect my normal life."

She giggled. "Oh," she fumbled as she saw him collapse onto the floor. "Are you alright?" she asked, offering her hand to help him back up. "We can talk all you'd like. We really have nothing to do for a while except explore and get into trouble." she smiled. Trouble was her middle name. Well.. Her middle name was actually Alisa. But, nobody knew that.

He took her hand, and as she helped him up he thought of what she had said to him " well since your middle nam is trouble I better stay clear" he chuckled as he walked over to what he supposed to be his side of the room, with an empty bunk in it, he sat down waiting for yayna to sit down as well " can you show me your ability, if you do... I will show you something I can do." He said this with a soft voice.

She blushed; a rare occurrence really. She walked over, sitting on the bed beside him. "Alright. Sure."

Yayna held out her palm and smiled at Sol, feeling water start to bubble on the surface of her palm. Seconds later, it erupted into a tiny whirlpool that evaporated into the air as it grew higher. She wiped her palm against her black skinny jeans and looked back at Sol. "That's it. Just good ol' water manipulation."

She noticed how soft his voice was and it calmed her down a lot. It was so much easier to control the water with him like that.

Nat sighed as she lay on her bed. "Having no friends is boring." She says, then stands up and walks out of the door. She decided that she would go explore the campus a bit more. She might find a place that she would enjoy.

"ok now my turn" getting up and stepping forward he lifted his hand and put it int he middle of the room, taking a little peek to his left then right he looked at his palm and thought of all he had learned during his few years of being awake "so water manipulation, lets try it" and as his voice echoed out into the room water spurted from his hand and started floating in air, rolling into a ball, it was to easy "know fire" his voice even softer, pain came to him, then heat, and a bright light before a blue flame floated and circled his hand "wind, but you cant really see that so.." he walked over to his bed frame and took a swipe of dust from the corner of it, and then it jumped up into the air and showed there to be a ball of wind " and earth.....one.....two ........three" a piece of rock broke through the floor and lifted into the air above his palm " this is just the tip of the ice berg though" he said smirking, but then pain was brought to the back of his eyes, and all the elements disipated.

Yayna smiled as a ball of water spurted from his hand. But as it turned into flame, wind, and then a rock broke through the floor, she sat there in awe, though still smiling. "Wow," she stated, just now finding her voice. "I mean, wow." Her smile turned into a frown as she looked at Sol. "That kind of power..." she looked down to the floor. "It must...hurt?" she asked.
