So they had all experience something odd.  And met odd people.  If you'd even call a spirit a person.  Though if it's alive and intelligent, is it not a person of some kind?  That's another debate for another day.  And probably a poem Sylvan could bore Benji with.  Or something blunt Grondo could use to find a way to hit Clay.  Spirits are weird.  And so's the snarling dog in front of the team.

It's good to be back in the present and out of that void.  Also good to be with the others.  They weren't all five alone in this.  Recharged, a little sore, if not a little wiser, as well from the experience.  It felt as though they could take on anything!

Is Garm seriously telling THEM what to do?  A dog bossing people around. That's a new one, for sure.  "Aye now, I ain't taking' that crap from an overgrown dog."  Clay snapped back at Garm, waving his arm out at him as Benji just hung his head.  They're all talking to an evil dog monster...why can't we just beat this thing senseless and go home?  Why the banter?  Benji thought to himself.

It was then that they both watched as Erin once again led the charged and flipped over Garm...with her fists in fire.  Fire!  She had channeled her elemental power and sent this mutt flying forward.  And then April flew!  Awkwardly and silly-like, but she flew! And tornado kicked the thing!  Amazing!  How did they do that?  How could Benji and Clay summoned their powers, too?  Did they just have to want it?  To think about it?  To maybe contact the spirits they'd bonded with?  Can someone just contact a spirit, or is there like a void landline you call and get put on hold?  Queue a head shake.

Both Benji and Clay looked deep within as Garm stumbled around again after April's attack, finding it in them to use their power and bond with he elements.  Focus...

Clay snapped his head up, feeling a rush of Earth-y home vibes take over him, the feeling of dirt and rocks washing over him.  He just focus on Earth...and now....he can do this!  Clay charged at Garm in continuation of the attack on the monster.  "Alright ya flea-ridden doggy!  Time for your feeding!  Eat rocks!"  Clay said, feeling stronger than normal.  Not having full grasp on his power yet, he ran up and stomped as hard as he could on the ground, causing the very Earth to rumble and Garm to wobble around by losing balance.  The ground nearly cracked, rocks flying upward.  Clay then punched the rocks ad they fell down, sending them at Garm's jaws.  He yelped like a sad puppy and rolled over from the constant hurdling of rocks.

Benji then stepped up to the metaphorical plate.  He took a deep breath.

"Okay.  I got this....feel it, feel it."  He whispered to himself.  With the opening at Garm, he put his hands together and extended them forward.  "Alright.  Let's get this puppy on a leash."  He muttered.  Now he's doing the banter?  Great...focusing full force, Benji launched a vine form his hands.  He didn't know how, nor could he fully control it to its fullest potential, but he launched a vine from his hands!  Magical!  The vine entwined itself around Garm's neck and upper torso, barring itself to the ground and disabling him from moving for short time.  Very short.  It may not hold long, so if someone's going to give this dog a flea bath, now would be the time!

"Our place is our feet up your ass, Hellhound!" Dylan fired back. With both surprising gusto as well as vocabulary compared to his normally clean mouth. "You think you can command us to just lay down and die?! You arrogant, evil, monstrous, walking piece of garbage!" Dylan barked at Garm. Maybe Deluvian and him had more in common than he would have liked to admit, given how utterly enraged he was at Garm's assertion. Not only was he telling them they were going to die, that they should just accept it like it was an inevitability rather than fight it with every breath and tooth and nail? Deluvian was a spirit of emotional extremes and whether he liked to admit it or not, Dylan was a guy of big feelings. Big joy and big anger, when it came.

Dylan didn't just feel a tidal wave of rage coiled in each limb, there actually was a tidal wave of rage coiled in each limb! His fists and shins were surrounded in tight, cyclones of water. He put his fists up and started to bounce a little in his fighting stance. "You're an unnatural creature, so let me show you what a little magic on top of six million years of evolution can do!" The water around Dylan's shins erupted into the ground, blasting him into the air. The water around his fists froze solid into hunks of ice that Dylan brought down hard on Garm's head with a satisfying double crunching noise. Below Garm's reeling head, Dylan's water gloves returned to liquid form and Dylan started hammering away with rapid fire punches to Garm's stomach. Each impact was a high pressure jet of water that could cut granite. He sped his punches up before finishing with one last right hook of aquatic aggravation. Garm was knocked back a short distance. Dylan had an idea.

He threw off all his water gloves and coalesced them into a single ball. He threw the ball forward and the water became a makeshift tentacle. The tentacle entangled Garm. "What goes around, comes around, you Doomsaying WRETCH!" Dylan said as he heaved and slammed Garm back into the ground as Garm did to him with his own staff.

(Sorry, I didn't think of that.)

And suddenly everyone was displaying amazing powers. April was flying on a tornado, spinning around and kicking at Garm. Clay was causing an earthquake and send rocks flying, Benji entangled Garm in vines, and Dylan turned himself into a jet and punched him with giant icicles and water jets. Yikes! Erin was amazed, truly. They had only just bonded with their Sentinel Spirits, only tapping into the very beginning of their potential. Their powers were far from fully under their control and look at what they were already capable of? "Nice going, everyone!" Erin excitedly called, flames still dancing around her. The flames seemed equally excited, flaring up, slightly dying down, flaring up again. Maybe they were just fueled by emotion. She had no idea. But she was eager to figure out. Now if only her arm didn't hurt so goshdarn much. It felt as if something there was burning, and it wasn't the flames. Maybe she should check up with Novus and Fate once they would return to the Coven. She lined up with the others again, shaking her body as to make the energy of the Sentinel Spirit spread further. Garm was still standing, albeit dirty, soaked, scorched, with some leaves sticking out and his fur tousled. Erin grinned under her visor, eyeing the others. "Guys... I'd say we try and see what happens if we make up a nice finisher here." The flames in her hands flared up high. Definitely higher than she had intended.
"Oy oy oy...!!"  She flapped her hands in an attempt to decrease the flames. It didn't work. Now small flames were flying around everywhere. Everyone jump aside lest you'd get burned. "This is NOT going the way I meant to!"

Garm used the distraction caused by everyone's powers getting out of control to quickly and quietly make his escape. Vorkalth wasn't going to be pleased, but at least Garm could say he survived one battle with the Rangers! And seriously hurt them, too! He wasn't a bad dog, just a tad unlucky. And the Rangers better watch their backs, for he would return after recovering from this fight.

---

"Bloody mongrel!" Vorkalth yelled at Garm in the Underworld, sending several Spawners around him fleeing into shadows and cowering in fear. Garm sat in front of the dark shaman, on his knees, head held low.

"Forgive me, Master. I hadn't expected them to gain control over their Spirits," Garm said. "But worry not. They're weakened, can't properly control their powers yet, and I've injured the Son of the Archon. You will prevail. I simply need some time to recover."

"What you need," Vorkalth leaned closer towards Garm. "IS SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY KNOWS HOW TO FIGHT!" His voice surely could be heard throughout all of Hell.  "Someone who will not flee back here with their tail between their legs when they should have used the distraction to strike." (hint hint @PenBlade1326)
Garm whined slightly, scooting away from Vorkalth. He had disappointed the ones he thanked this new life for, had failed them. He needed to prove himself and make things right again. He needed to destroy the Sentinels and their mentors. If only the latter of which would come out of their hiding place. The cowards!

---

When everyone had somehow managed to regain control over their powers and diminish the out of control elements to something within their control... Garm was long gone. Erin looked around the streets. "Where'd he go?" then shrugged. "Ah well. That means we did it! We made the monster go away!" Happy and excited as a child. What do you mean water is the only ever changing thing? Fire can be destructive one moment, and be all pleasant and nice and cute the next. Also, optimism here. Possibly there's a hellhound on the loose somewhere right now, but Erin's happy as a kid they chased the bad dog away. She held a hand over her heart. "Power down," she said, the energy again surging backwards into the Charm. She rubbed her painful arm, where Garm struck her. Not only was it painful... it was wet too. Erin didn't dare to look down.  "Dylaaaaan.....? Did you splash me by any chance?" Just asking for reassurance. Really, she already knew the answer. Just didn't want to face it.

Everyone had such power!  It was unbelievable!  Nobody was an expert, but still the power they all wielded was amazing.  Granted, the more excited they got the more....weird it got.  Example, Erin's fire was getting excited with her.  As for Benji and Clay's earth and nature...well...let's just say Clay felt heavier than usual.  A lot heavier, since almost every step he took felt like it could crack the ground.  And Benji swore that leaves were coming out of places they should neeever come out of.  Like ever.  At least they managed their powers enough to stop these feelings and control them.

A finisher?  Hell yeah!  BOth of them lined up with the others and nodded in agreement.  Maybe their powers all combine into--OH JESUS IS ERIN TOSSING FIRE AT THEM?  Her hands were on fire, and it looked as if she had difficulty controlling it.

Clay and Benji both let out a 'gahh' sound and avoided the fire coming at them.  A bit of flame snagged Benji's cloak and made him panic.  Clay stomped it out...too hard, though.  Jeez.

---

Garm returned.  And he didn't kill the Sentinels as planned...great.  Even better, they have tapped into elemental power.  This is not boding well for the Legion!  Not at all!  But there's an opportunity here.  Vorkalth is mad at Garm because he can't fight properly and ran away when it got hard.  But...Avlazor didn't know what to think.  Literally.  The powerful, threatening, SKILLED warrior just stood there...picking at his nose.  If you could call it a nose, really.  Just picking at his face where nostrils might be.  Then it dawned on him and he jumped, standing before Vorkalth.

"Avlazor can fight!  Avlazor knows how to fight real good!  Avlazor kill Sentinels, crush their bones and ground them into dust!"  He promised.  Oh how he has begged for this moment to come!   A chance to leave this place and fight!  His ax thirsted for blood, and this was the perfect chance to shine!

---

He got away!  While they dealt with a flammable mishap, Garm managed to slip off and retreat.  They'll get him later.  But as it stands, they technically won.  Got him to leave and whimper all the way back to Vorkalth at least.  So that's something....but would Novus and Fate agree it was a victory?

"Power down."  Both Benji and Clay said, hands over their hearts, energy back to the charms, reverting to their civilian forms.  This magic thing is really weird.

"When I say I shake the very ground I walk on, I certainly never thought I would literally mean it."  Clay commented.  Benji chuckled.  "Same...and all of this stuff is giving me some weird ideas for art."  He commented, looking art Erin as she asked Dylan about being splashed.  It was obvious her arm was hurt, though.

Hopefully April's hair would survive being turned into an April-sized tornado.  Seriously, how bad does her hair look under that helmet?  Hurricane Sandy called, she wants to know how you got your hair to look like that.  She could hear it now...

Garm wasn't doing too hot, which meant it was going well for them.  Just as Erin suggested finishing him....she started tossing fire by accident at them all in the line.  Even catching Benji's cloak on fire.  After dodging a few hits of fire, she too joined in on stomping out Benji's cloak like the typical air head.  No pun intended on air head.  With all of this going on, she was too busy to notice Garm escaping.

---

Nenet listened as Vorkalth scolded Garm upon his return.  Flea-ridden mutt had ought to know better in combat.  He wasn't summoned from the depths for nothing!  And those wretched Sentinels had unlocked their powers.  Clumsy with them, but still.  It is only a matter of time, now...

She swatted Garm on the head as he scooted away from Vorkalth.

The Avlazor suggested himself as a candidate for combat.  "Hmm.  A marvelous notion.  What say you, master Vorkalth?  Dare I say Avlazor is well fit for battle?  Garm may even learn something from our dear....friend, here."  Nenet said, gesturing to Avlazor and standing at his side.

---

April noticed Garm managed to leave. Shoot!  Now there's a hound from Hell itself running around Ebongrove, possibly.  Or he returned to his masters in Hell.  Either way, he left.  So they may have won from a certain point of view, but it stands that they didn't really defeat him...she had a feeling they would see him again.  Uglier than ever, as well.

"Power down."  April said, following suit with the others and returning to normal human form.  Just out of curiosity, she checked her hair.  It was...okay.  Whew.  She chuckled and what Clay had said.  Then Erin pointed out her arm.  It was wet...but it probably wasn't water.  "Erin.  You okay?"  She asked her softly and looked at her arm, then at Dylan and the others.

"What you going to do now? You wretched, horrid, vile, - whoah!" Dylan jumped back as Erin's flames excited and she was in great danger of lighting her team mates on fire. There was a flare up very close to his proximity and Dylan could feel the heat but he was in no danger of it actually harming him. Not that Deluvian noticed.

"Nooooooo! Not my friend!" Deluvian shouted in his head. Water pooled around his feat and from that pool sprung a tendril to bat the fire away. With a bang and a hiss, the area around Dylan was cascaded in steam. Dylan swatted it away and tapped the charm resting in his chest piece.

"It's okay buddy. She's not going to hurt me. Here, take a breather . . . or relax, I should say. Uhhh, power down." Dylan did a martial arts push down move and felt the fluid power of his Sentinel Spirit and abilities vacuum sucked back into his Charm. It popped off his chest and Dylan caught it in the air. He held the gem in his hand and ran his finger over it. "Evidently we really do need more training before our next fight. Novus was right." Dylan thought in his head. Which only just now struck him that Novus probably heard him think that. Which made him wince a little bit he was ashamed to admit. Why couldn't it be Fate that was in telepathic contact with them? On second thought, it's probably best she wasn't privy to the ideas that had run through his head regarding her. Wait, then Novus should know about Dylan's fantasy honey moon to Disneyworld where he and Fate- "NO! Stop thinking about it!" Dylan did a quick breath in breath out exercise to clear his mind. Luckily Erin saved him from a relapse into any incriminating thoughts by asking him a question. "Well . . . I didn't mean to. Deluvian just saw your flames and reacted. He slash she was trying to protect me." Dylan said in his defense.

So she had been splashed in reaction to her flames. Good thing too, maybe. Who knows, she might have burned down her friends on accident if she hadn't somewhat regained control over their powers. They really did need more training with that... Quite a lot, she'd say. But still.. water shouldn't make her arm hurt like that, right? Her hand carefully reached to her wet arm, slightly touching it. Erin winched and had to bite the inside of her cheek pretty hard in order to not start yelping like a kicked puppy, a rather poor comparison considering who they had faced here. She took a shaky breath, wiping her hand on her shirt in order not to have to look at it. Now there was a red smear on her clothes. "I think... I think we should head back to the Coven," Erin said. "If they don't know already, Novus and Fate likely want to hear what happened. And we might as well continue practicing our newfound powers in a safer environment so we're a bit better prepared if Garm comes back."

"Returning would be wise indeed," Fate told them. Ah, so she could speak to them telepathically too, huh? Mentor exclusive thing, or something they'd all learn eventually? All questions they could ask, as well as finally getting an answer to the whole Son of the Archon confusion. Garm seemed to be confident she was the Son... despite being a girl. Then, just like the first time they had fought, a portal appeared, allowing them to head straight back for the Coven.

---

In the shadows, Vorkalth briefly shook his head, covering his eyes with one hand. Avlazor was such an idiot. Standing there, picking his note (literally)... If the stupid lizard hadn't been such a skilled fighter, he would have fed him to some demon a long time ago. But both Avlazor and Nenet could prove useful to him in time, perhaps one more than the other. And so far, either of the two had yet to disappoint him. Now Avlazor stood in front of him, eager to fight. Seems the Basilisk wasn't entirely mindless. "Yes, yes. Avlazor, you have always proven yourself a capable fighter in the past. I want you to prepare and head back to the city with Garm when the both of you are ready.

---

Back at the Coven, Novus and Fate were quick to hurry over to the Rangers. Part of them was concerned, part of them was proud they managed to tap into their Elemental Powers so quickly.

"Amazing, truly amazing," Novus praised them. "Vorkalth might be strong, but the five of you are incredibly quick to learn."

"Yet Garm is a powerful enemy. It shouldn't have taken a moment longer for you to bond to the Spirits," Fate sighed softly, as if she could hardly believe Vorkalth was already strong enough to send one of his allies through. Who knew what might follow, what else the Legion would be capable of now that their leader was so strong again? Novus' eyes fell on Erin's wet sleeve.

"Did... did Garm injure you?" he asked carefully, sounding a bit like the concerned teen he seemed to be in appearance.

"I... guess so," Erin said. "Pretty sure there, actually. Caught his claws with my arm..." Erin raised her arm. OUCH. That was definitely more painful than it should be. And this time she couldn't draw her eyes away. The stain on her sleeve was dark, darker than water alone should leave, anyway.

"Walk with me for a moment please," Novus said, gesturing some distance away from the rest. "I'll heal that up as best as I can."
Erin glanced at the others. Why not just heal her here, if he could do it? Why the secrecy? More secrecy wasn't exactly something she was waiting for here.

"Why can't-..." Erin didn't get the chance to finish her sentence before Fate interrupted her.

"Please listen to him, Erin," she told her.

"Eh... alright then..." Without much further protest, Erin followed after Novus, heading towards some other place in the Coven.

"Now, while Novus is patching your friend up... are there any questions on your side regarding what happened? Anything you want to tell?" Fate asked. As their mentors, it was their task to make sure the Rangers felt comfortable, learned of their powers, and would know they could tell the two of them anything regarding enemies, powers, questions... anything related to being Sentinels, really.

((Coming to think of it... I never get a notification when you post, @Steel Accord. Just when you like something of mine here XD))

Dylan noticed Erin's arm was bleeding. He didn't say anything, he simply rushed over to her as she bit back a pained yelp. That's when Fate responded in their heads. On the one hand, yay, it was good to hear her voice and the suggestion to come back to the Coven! On the other,

"Ah crap. Don't think of honeymoon. Don't think of honeymoon. Don't think of honeymoon." Dylan thought.

Back at the Coven, Dylan took some pride at a job well done but time really had come for some straight answers to straight questions. Even he couldn't put up with the mystic crypticisms forever.

"I have a question." Dylan raised his hand like a kid in class. "Fate, my lady, you of all people are equipped to answer this. Garm. He's a black dog, an omen of death, and he's declared us all to die." He looked to April, Benji, and Clay. "Is it possible to fight that, well you, that fate? Because according to what I know the only way to avoid that particular omen is to run before it barks and well . . . too late for that." His thoughts were, thankfully, now devoid of romantic thoughts. He was now thoroughly in student mode. One benefit, perhaps to Deluvian's ever shifting nature having an effect on him. Switching gears rather quickly. Something Dylan otherwise had a fair amount of trouble with.

(have you two @marorda @Steel Accord tried undoing and then resetting your notifications?  that always works for me :)   if not then we'll have to just tag you guys in every single post form here on out xDDDD)

Erin sure seemed like she'd been used to being in charge.  Just she sounded so...leader-like.  Returning to the Coven was the best course of action, especially if Erin's hurt.  And of course, Fate seemed telepathic...of course she can, why wouldn't she?!  And again, a portal appeared to bring them back.  Not more portal nonsense....oy.  Benji and Clay followed through, despite Benji's dislike of portals what they did to his guts.  Eesh.

---

Avlazor gasped like a wee little girl.  "Really?  Avlazor get to fight?!  Oh, thank you master Vorkalth, thank you!  Avlazor not let you down, Avlazor and Garm make Sentinels go to Hell!  But not this Hell.  We live here.  Sentinels not welcome here!"  He said.  Wow...he thanked his master and sounded stupid at the same time.  What a wonderful opportunity this was!  He'd get to display his strength as well as teach Garm a thing or two.  And get to beat boobie Son of Archon to death!  And cut up the others!  Splendid!  Avlazor took Garm and began preparations for returning to the city.  This was going to be fun!

---

The praise upon arriving was nice.  Being told they were amazing and quick to learn.  Clay assumed it just came naturally.  "Hey, how were we supposed to know how long bonding to a spirit would take, Fate?  Until a few days ago this was all make-believe to us..." Benji defended.  Really, it wasn't like they'd all had a lifetime of experience preparing for this sort of thing.

As Novus took Erin to get her arm fixed up, Benji and Clay had a chance to speak up.  In addition to Dylan's question regarding the chances of escaping fate, both figuratively and literally, Benji had his own question.  "And just how do we control our spirit bonds?  I have leaves coming out of places that they really shouldn't be coming out of and I'd like to know how to control this better."  He said to Fate.

The thought of leaves coming out of wherever Benji spoke of made Clay step away from him...like, 3 steps away.  Que and awkward whistle here.  "I have something to chime in.  I hate to bombard you, Fate, but that there doggy put up a good fight.  Are there...more things like that running around in Hell that Vorkalth can just send after us whenever he wants?" Clay asked.  The thought of basically an army of Garms plus something more sinister made his skin crawl like a toddler on a plushy nursery floor.

Yikes!  Blood!  Coming from Erin's arm!  Yikes, again!  April carefully looked at her arm, not hurting Erin, just taking a good look.  Then Fate mentally contacted them...man, was she going to do that all of the time?  And if she could see them all the time as well as contact them...can Fate just shut that off?  The whole 'I know everything you do' thing.  Kinda weird now when April wants to use the restroom!  Privacy, Fate!  Anyway, oh God Erin!

Going back would be the best thing to do.  As the portal opened, she stepped through with the others to head back to the Coven.

---

Nenet tapped her fingers.  "Marvelous!  Oh good for you, Avlazor."  She commented gleefully, patting his head then swatting his head as he went off on the Hell tangent.  What he lacked in brains, he certainly made up for in brawn, at least.   Hence Nenet's personal voucher for him to aid Garm in killing the Sentinels.  At least with his skill, he human world would soon be destroyed!

---

The Coven and it's portals were...welcoming.  April didn't feel sick at least.

"Not like we had to learn much," she said upon being told they were all quick to learn, "just they popped into our heads and wham, we have powers."  She commented.  But getting a little praise wasn't at all a bad thing.  In fact, she could get used to it!  Very well!  She nudged Benji slightly as he protested to Fate.  "Maybe don't urk the all-powerful woman..."  She whispered.

"I don't think strong is the word for Garm...more like...savage.  Just plain savage..."  She commented on Garm's strength.  April's eyes fell to Novus as he tended to Erin's arm.  "She gonna be okay?"  She asked, worried for her roommate as she and Novus went off somewhere else in the Coven.  Her arm sure looked like it hurt a helluva lot.  If she could, she'd gladly help in any way she could!

Clay, Dylan and Benji all had good things to say.  About beat fate when it comes to Garm saying they'll die, wanting to know how to better control their powers, and wanting to know just how many more possible Garms there are, or if there's something worse.

"Oh, and Fate?  My spirit...Ainya?  She said to give you and Novus her best.  But she seemed hesitant in you even knowing her...still, she wanted me to tell you."  April said to Fate.  Ainya seemed like such a kind spirit...motherly, angelic...comforting.  Surely Fate or Novus knows her as well as the other spirits!

Fate slightly rolled her eyes upon being called "my lady". And here she was thinking those things were left behind come centuries ago. She guessed she was wrong. Something about being addressed so formally brought her discomfort. Then again, so did being spoken to rudely or disregarded as non-existent.  Somewhere in between was just fine, really. Just Fate. Whether she couldn't hear Dylans thoughts or chose to ignore them remained a mystery. Though one could assume neither Fate nor Novus was constantly digging through the Rangers' minds. She listened to all the questions asked and tapped her chin, thinking how to best answer them all without bothering them with too many small things they needn't know. Or not as of yet. "Few things are entirely set in stone," she said after a short while. "In the end, everybody dies. And although an omen such as a Black Dog usually indicates an early death, there's no telling who will die. Garm might be convinced it's one or all of you, but he may be wrong. There's always... how would I best put it..." Fate paused for a short moment and thought deeply. "Let's just say there's always a chance to escape fate, or find a way around it, to bend it." She smiled softly at her own cleverness here. And there was a chance the Rangers would soon figure out the deeper meaning behind those words. Ah, there she went again. Chance...

"I did not mean to offend any of you," Fate defended herself. "Some Sentinels took many months to figure out how to bond with their Spirits. Others quickly figure it all out by just looking and searching inside their souls, like you did. Which is a relief." She chuckled slightly at Benji's remark on leaves growing out of... places. Que slight shudder. Some Sentinels certainly were more expressive than others... "You control and learn the same way you would do with any skill. Practice, practice, practice. And a bit of trust in the capabilities of both yourselves and your Spirits. "As of Garm... There might not be more Garms around, as you may put it, but Vorkalth certainly has other creatures to do his bidding, other allies gathered over the years and ways to forge new alliances....'"

"Well that's just great news, isn't it?" Erin huffed as she walked back to the rest. She had her jacket slung over her shoulder. One of the sleeves was tattered and stained, still. Best just throw the thing away. Shame, it was one of her favorite jackets too! But it was rather beyond repair, and she didn't quite feel like answering too many questions on how the hell she got her jacket that tattered. Her left lower arm was bandaged, and though she hadn't lost too much blood (thankfully), she did look a little bit pale. Was it because of the news she had just picked up? On there being more creatures, albeit not like Garm, to do Vorkalth's bidding? Or was there something else at play here? Who would know...

"I wouldn't worry too much," Novus reassured them, walking behind Erin. "They can't just send whatever they want up here and fight. It takes magic to do so, and the Legion's supply, like ours, is still limited.

"They?" Erin asked. "Garm also mentioned Masters. How many people are there in that hell we need to worry about? A Legion of Vorkalths?"

"'Now that'd be terrible," Fate chuckled slightly. What's with her and laughing at them? Sure, it was done in a rather friendly matter, but still... "Besides creatures to do his bidding, Vorkalth has two loyal generals who rise together with him. Nenet is a sphinx, a master tactician and sorceress. Avlazor... he lacks a brain, but is one of the most fearsome warriors the Worlds have seen. Garm is nothing compared to him when it comes to fighting skills and savagery."

"Well that's not exactly what any of us wanted to hear," Erin crossed her arms... and regretted doing so, so she quickly let her arms fall to her sides again. She was pretty confident she was speaking for all of them if she were to say this was very much the opposite of what they'd want to hear!

"Ah, Ainya..." Fate smiled softly. "Although neither Novus or me ever had the chance to meet them the way you did, previous Sentinels have told us plenty about them. As much as they have undoubtedly told them about us." Besides, after bonding the Spirits were pretty much part of the Sentinels' souls. Though they wouldn't take over and only lend their powers when asked for. Even when not morphed. Would that be something she should tell the others? Or was that something better saved for later? There was still a Hellhound on the loose somewhere, after all. Maybe this was a thing better saved for conversation after Garm would be send back home and it was assured he wouldn't return.

---

With some time having passed, Garm was ready to once again head to the surface, this time together with Avlazor. Surely together they would kill the Rangers! They would be no more of a problem to the Legion. Vorkalth would rule, and he would be proud of Garm! Maybe he'd be promoted into a higher rank than a simple minion! Right when he returned to the surface, Garm howled to the... sun. Would have been more dramatic if it was moonlight, but alas, the moon was still far away from them. And still, the howl sent shivers down many spines and send people fleeing for their lives once more. Though this time... this time the horrid appearance of Avlazor and his ax that seemed to come straight out of a scary movie might help a lot.

Back in the Coven, the window showing the Worlds darkened again, and as it showed both Garm and Avlazor, color drained from the faces of Novus and Fate.

"Seems like we're needed again," Erin sighed.

"Erin..." Novus quickly grabbed Erin's good arm. "Yes, you're all needed, more than previously. So hold on just a moment here."

He pointed at the window. "As you all see, Garm is not alone. He brought... a friend. The aforementioned Avlazor." He gulped. If already Vorkalth was sending a general, it meant he was even more powerful than anticipated. That, and he felt threatened by them. "You'll all need to be very careful out there. And... you may need an extra hand."

Fate stepped up as well. "Your Elemental Powers aren't the only things you get from bonding with your Spirits. There is more, something we keep hidden away here. Powerful weapons passed down from one generation of Sentinels to another." She spread her arms and closed her eyes for a moment, as if channeling magic of her own into them, into their Spirits. "When needed, you can call upon them. A unique weapon for each and everyone of you. It might also help you channeling your powers better. That much I don't know." After all, every generation of Sentinels had proven to be different.

Erin glanced at the window, to the being that looked like the final boss in a computer game, with an epic loot drop weapon! Still... this probably wasn't a loot drop and it would more than likely be used to hurt them. And that thing looked like it was good at hurting. So did the ax, by the way.

Whelp... Erin had to admit the idea of fighting both Garm AND Avlazor was... a little frightening. Especially since they had only just gotten their powers... and she was hurt. And still confused on the whole "Son of the Archon" matter.... But it seemed there still wouldn't be time to think of anything. "Well... let's get going again then. For real now. We've got powers, we've got weapons, and we were close to defeating Garm anyway." She sounded a lot more determined than she felt, a lot more sure of herself too... Now let's hope the others would think she truly was as confident as she acted.

"Let's go!" Time to get teleporting around again... how would loss of blood go with teleporting, spinning worlds, and the general somewhat sick feeling she still got? Best not think of it and hope she wouldn't puke all over everyone. Though puke was less of a problem than setting anyone on fire, right?

Dylan nodded. That was a relief to hear that Garm might have been all bark and no bite in terms of his death knelling. Also something of a comfort to hear that their spirits were now inextricably bounded to them. He had a feeling Deluvian was a clingy sort and wouldn't want him slash her getting temperamental when he did need his water powers. That wouldn't be a problem if they were always together for lack of a better term. He wondered if he could actually hear Deluvian if he concentrated . . .

While the idea of Avlazor worried him, it also kind of . . . excited him. A real dragon to slay. Metaphorically at least, he obviously didn't know if Avlazor resembled a dragon at all. Still, a proclaimed warrior with expressed legendary fighting skills? The "worthy opponent" trope started to formulate in Dylan's head. The two of them starring each other down across the courtyard of a Buddhist temple. Dylan in his ranger form.

"Avlazor! You have spilled blood throughout the centuries. Now your time has come." He says with an extended point of his finger and arm.

"You shall not end me, Blue Ranger. Countless have tried. The blood I've washed from my weapons has turned whole rivers red!" He growled. (Dylan was clearly giving the brute more eloquence than he actually possessed.) Then the two of them would fight. The clouds would darken over their heads as the storm came, the clash of their weapons would rival the roar of the thunder, the rain would disguise and sharpen Dylan's strikes. It would darken further, further, oh wait, it really is getting dark.

Dylan's attention snapped back to the real world. There on the window's gaze stood the very two figures that Dylan had fantasized of fighting.

"Garm first." Dylan said with clenched fists and teeth. To Dylan's mind, Avlazor was the warrior to be beaten, Garm was just a dog to be put down.

The more Fate and Novus spoke about everything, the less eager Benji and Clay were to know know.  Well, Benji anyway.  Clay assumed there was a lot more going on for Vorkalth, so it was nice to at least have a somewhat understanding.  And Benji didn't feel as incompetent when Fate said not every Sentinel starts out as a professional.

Both of them gulped.  "Avlazor doesn't sound friendly....especially not if he's as brutal and savage as I'm imagining."  Benji said.  "A warrior that strikes fear into the hearts of all...especially private tutors.  If he isn't too bright, I'd imagine educators would hate him.." Benji said uncomfortable.  Nice to know one of the big league bad guys is a renowned psychotic monster.  And this Nenet?  A sphinx and sorceress. For some reason, she sounded cooler, not as evil....no doubt she's a bad guy, but still.  Something about the way she'd been described put Benji's mind at ease.  And Clay?  Well he just liked knowing the names of his enemies.

Oh boy!  Being sent to the surface to aid Garm.  Great!  Avlazor would truly get to shine!

Man, the walk through the portal was weird.  The surface world is different...not how he expected it.  Sure they've gotten a visual before, but to experience it in person?  What are all of these buildings, these transport machines...the ground even felt artificial!  Not dirt and forest like he knew so well.  Or in his most recent case, cobble and brimstone, with a little bit of cracked rock.  Living in essentially Hell put a dampener on life.  Nor for him, though!

Avlazor slapped the back of Garm's head as he howled at the sun.  "Stupid dog!  Sun needs to howl  Moon needs howl!  Sun just makes it hot and bright outside."  He said, scolding the monster.  He looked at the people running in fear for their lives.  He clung his ax on the ground, heavily trembling the ground beneath him with its weight.  How eager he was to tear into some flesh!

---

Of course shit's happening again.  Shit always happens!  Garm's back in town...with Avlazor.  Novus clearly felt frightened and worried by this.  Clay and Benji weren't experts, but if someone sends their top elites out so early?  It's bad.

The mention of weapons, unique for all of them, reassured Clay at least.  Ohh.  He couldn't wait!  "First we get tapped into spirits to give us magic, now stuff hit to hit stuff with?  A feller could get used to this!"  He said, letting out a 'yeehaw'.

Benji sighed.  "Hopefully the weapons give us an edge..."

Both looked at Avlazor on the screen.  Geez....he's ugly.  Really ugly.  And that ax!  Is someone overcompensating for something? Benji thought to himself, tapping his chin.  Now a visual of Avlazor entered his mind...he shook his head.  Nope, not going there!!!!

The guys nodded at Erin and Dylan.  "Aye now, nobody get themselves killed."  Clay said and prepped for teleportation.  "And maybe we should all consider some kind of real plan?  Who am I kidding, look who I'm with."  Benji said, giving up and walking over with the others to leave.

In the midst of news about escaping fate, omens of death, the impossible odds that lay in waiting in Hell, and Erin's injured arm, April smiled at Fate.  "As grim as everything the Legion stands for, as well as Avlazor and this Nenet...."  April muttered for transition.  Fate seemed to recall Ainya as a pleasant soul.  And Ainya did seem rather friendly and kind, so April assumed anyone who's met her would like her a great deal.  Past Sentinels told her and Novus about the spirits, as well as telling spirits about the two of them.  Off you can indirectly work with someone for such a long time and never actually meet them.  Kind of like having an online friend.  So much interaction without much legitimate interaction.

---

Nenet tapped her fingers together.  Oh this is simply marvelous.  Avlazor is getting to assist Garm in attacking the surface world.  It is only a matter of time before it is all destroyed and the Legion gets to take what is rightfully theirs!  Avlazor wouldn't let Vorkalth down, she knew for certain he wouldn't!  She performed a prayer to the dark and wicked Gods, offering a semblance of good fortune and power to Garm and Avlazor.  As well as a death wish for the Sentinels.

---

Color had drained from Fate and Novus again.  And that eerie vibe returned, something was wrong.  On the screen-thing, Garm had returned to Ebongrove.  With a really ugly monster...powerful-looking, wielding a heavy-ass weapon.  Definitely something straight out of Hell.  What made this better?  That is Avlazor.  A general for Vorkalth...the big bad.  The Master, Spike, Mayor, Adam, Glory, Dark Willow, the First...that kind of big bad.  At least this Buffy reference was made in April's mind and not out loud.  Best to not further confuse Novus with stuff like that, lest she get scolded by one of her friends.

She gulped, wiping her sweaty palms on the sides of her pant legs.  Two monsters, now.  Both pretty strong...okay.  But they had their elemental power now, so it wouldn't be bad, right?

And weapons!  Unique weapons for them all!  Wait a second, what if April's weapon is some giant-ass hammer or blunt object she couldn't lift?  She isn't an unfit person but she'd be damned before she could lift something heavy enough to crack a demon skull.  But the time for questions wasn't know.  She'd see what her weapon was when the time came.

"A big dog and now he's got a weird snake-demon for a friend.  I need a drink...like really old, strong wine."  April said to herself as she made her way to the teleportation with the others.  At least she thought Avlazor looked snake-like.  That's what a basilisk is, right?  Harry Potter taught her that much, at least.

The sound of people screaming in terror was enough of a sign they were headed in the right way, people running their way was another giveaway. And the five of them... they ran into the exact opposite direction of the masses, right toward Garm and Avlazor. Damn, Avlazor really looked like he was a boss in a video game. Now here was to hoping their level was high enough. Would getting powers and weapons equal leveling up? In Erin's mind, this did have some things in common with a game. They had defeated a boss, retreated to their hideout for resting, healing, leveling up, and now the next part was going to begin. Two bosses showing up, one of which they had already defeated, and another one there to remind them how high the stakes were. An epic battle with a powerful enemy who had seen many centuries and likely carried much knowledge on battle... But as they all lined up in front of the two and she heard Avlazor speak, she couldn't help but shortly burst into laughter. "Well, Fate said this guy lacks a brain... But I didn't expect him to be dumber than a pig's behind!" she laughed. Erin wasn't even sure if that was a saying here. Must be weird if it wasn't... Ah, the perk/downside of seeing so much of the world... picking up sayings and randomly translating them into English... Suddenly there were monkeys coming out of sleeves, cows in ditches, flies turning into elephants... And those were only some of the Dutch things she picked up!

Erin managed to stop laughing and smirked, tapping with her fist into her hand. "Let's get to it then, shall we? Time to put a dog down and send a lizard back to Jurassic Park." She could already feel the tingling in her chest. Though cautious of a powerful enemy, Igneos seemed eager to burst out and fight. Now hopefully she wouldn't almost set her teammates ablaze again. That would suck. Hey, maybe now they could get to testing a finisher or any nice combined attacks on their two enemies! She carefully rubbed her bandaged arm. It was sensitive, not quite healed yet, just patched up enough to fight for now... And with what Novus had said... More than enough reason to be worried.

Whether Garm noticed or just taunted, the Barghest laughed as he watched the Rangers, all lined up. "Well look who's back," he growled, his teeth and claws glistening in the sun. "I'm surprised to see you're still standing."

Erin spat at him. "I won't let a dog put me down. If anything, it's going to be the other way around."

"You speak bravely for someone who's facing inevitable death." Garm howled briefly again, shutting up before Avlazor decided he'd hit him with the ax instead of being slapped. "I am death!"

"I am fire. And you will be DEAD," Erin retorted. That was the most terrible Hobbit-related pun she could make here. Would have been worse if Avlazor were to state he was death... But it seemed nothing even half smart would come out of his mouth. "Enough with the banter. Let's deal with this."

Erin gripped the Charm around her neck and held it over her heart. "Essencia Awaken!" she called, the fire spreading through her body, the energy surrounding her. "Red Sentinel Ranger!" She took on her fireball-pose and then the best part... "Power Rangers Sentinels!" she called in unison with the others. "Right... we heard we need some more practice with our powers, right?" Flames already started dancing around Erin, almost mischievously.  "I say we have two perfect training dummies right in front of us." Eager, excited, and energized, Erin dashed at... Garm. She still had a score to settle with that dog. Instead of going for a fiery punch, she charged a fireball between her hands, befitting her pose, pushing it into Garm. Whelp... seemed like her power was already again stronger than usual. Best try toning it down a little... With some effort, she managed to force her fire back to a more controllable level, but it allowed for Garm to strike at her with his claws. He slashed her chest, sending her backwards a bit. But this would also allow for someone else to strike.

(whoohoo! Battle time again! Go after whomever your character would logically want to deal with. So if we're all going after Garm... that'd give Avlazor some fun to react to. Being called stupid and then ignored entirely :P   )

Dylan ran into the fray with his friends and there the two of them were. The sight of Avlazor excited him, but the sound of him depressed him. This was the Hell Knight? Then again, it did make a sort of sense that Hell's greatest warrior would be the equivalent of a witless, barely cognizant, leg breaker. Still, he seemed a better adversary than Garm, who still wouldn't shut up. Erin, unfortunately beat him to the punch with telling him off, but hey, as long as one of them was doing so. Anyway,

"Essencia Awaken!" His powers activated like he was getting splashed by a huge wave that seemed to embrace him more than sweep him up. "Blue Sentinel Ranger!" He assumed a twist stance with his hands outstretched. "Power Rangers Sentinels!" He cried out in unison with the others. Dylan's eyes were set on Avlazor. He slapped his hands together in front of him and when split apart, a blue flash of energy formed his sentinel staff. He grabbed it out of the air and spun it behind him with a hand outstretched. Deluvian jumped up in his heart, eager to help. Suddenly Dylan was being carried, waist deep, in a wave toward his target. About when he reached Avlazor, he dropped beneath the surface, sank to the bottom of the wave and planted his staff on the pavement. The wave would pass over him and unto Avlazor, whatever effect it would have on him, it would leave Dylan crouched with his staff in front of him. He rose to his feet and respun his staff into a ready stance.

"Avlazor! I'm the Blue Sentinel Ranger. These are my friends." Dylan said in regards to whoever among his friends would join him in fighting Avlazor. "You can tell your master that the world is safe from him after we're done here. First though, let's see if you recognize these moves!" He spun his staff forward, sending the water left from the wave pooled at his feet, rocketing toward his target in droplets. Normally the move is more a distraction, as a Power Ranger though with Deluvian as his sentinel spirit (whom he could swear was cursing like a sailor in his head), Dylan's cascade of salty droplets turned into magical bullets. Dylan pole vaulted with his staff and then brought the weapon down toward Avlazor's head.

"Frankly I think a piggie's buttocks might be more intelligent..." Clay said to Erin as he and the others joined the fray and encountered Avlazor.  The fearsome warrior from Hell...talks like a 2 year old who's being taught a broken language.  This was unexpected...sure he lacked brains, but jeez....

"Alazor smarter than hog butt!  Avlazor also make Rangers dead!"  The general threatened.  Benji and Clay chuckled.  "Well with a a threat like that, I'm shaking in my shoes."  Benji replied.  Avlazor growled and slung his heavy ax on the ground.  Now he's just mad.

Garm and Erin going back and forth was well-off.  Together, they had a score to settle.  But also, they had a world to protect.  And they wouldn't back down here just because two hideous fiends threatened them.

"Essencia Awaken!"  Both Benji and Clay called in unison with the others, gripping the charms over their hearts, feeling that splash of power again, the scent of grass and the feeling of dirt respectively.  "Brown Sentinel Ranger!"  Clay called, hunched over and flexing as usual.

"Green Sentinel Ranger!" Benji shouted, one arm out and the other over his chest.  "Power Rangers Sentinels!"  They'd called with the others, Sylvan and Grondo in their hearts eager to bust out and help them attain their fullest potential with their powers.  But let's be real, if they were to let them out if possible, people would be so insulted and so confused by rhymes.  Benji set his eyes on Avlazor as well, and Clay on Garm.  They clenched their fists and took deep breaths, running after the beasts with the others.  No Spawners in the way this time.

Avlazor growled at Dylan, snarling and waving his ax around.  The wave had no effect on him, too heavy and bulky to really settle.  (I hope I reacted right to that Steel I'm slightly tired and confused with life atm xD)  Her snarled again as Dylan introduced himself.  "Hi Blue Sentinel!  You talk lots!"  Avlazor said, pulling his ax up to deflect Dylan's water projectile blasts with the wide side of the weapon, swinging it around and deflecting them at the ground.  Sadly for Avlazor, he only blooked a few shots, as most of them got through and hit him all over, sparks flying...and now he's all wet!  "Avlazor hate being wet!"  He snarled, yelping as Dylan's staff hit his head.  Avlazor kicked Dylan heavily in the chest, Benji rushing to his side and catching Dylan's back, lest he were to fall.

"Maybe less talk and more...uh....ass kicking?"  He suggested, shrugging to himself.  He brought out his staff as well, swinging it around and preparing to attack.

Avlazor then sped toward Dylan and Benji, swinging his ax at them heavily, crying out in battle and aiming to knock their heads off.

Benji dodged Avlazor as he charged, rolling to the side and converting the staff to wand mode.  He aimed it at his feet, attempting to sprout vines from the ground and hold his feet down.  Avlazor simply kicked them off and swung his ax across Benji's chest, sending him flying far back, rolling on the ground, yelping.  Avlazor then aimed at Dylan, swinging his ax down Dylan's chest and striking hard, kicking him in the gut as Benji rolled away, groaning and getting up.  Too easy!  Avlazor thought.

As Erin fell backwards a bit, Clay rushed to her side to back her up.  "Erin!  You alright there, little darlin'?"  He asked, just displaying that southern talk on her, standing up in front of her to face the sniveling Garm.  "Alright now, doggy.  You're going to the pound, with a ground pound stomp!"  Clay shouted at Garm, stomping his foot heavily on the ground, using all of Grondo's spirit to channel a small quake near Garm, cracking the ground...and up flew two big rocks!  He didn't know how he did it, but Clay just punched the rocks like dummies and flung them at him, hurling heavy stones right at the mutt.

Avlazor was about as dumb as April didn't think he was.  If that made sense.  Probably not.  Just really?  A feared warrior from Hell with the dialect of a toddle with a really bad anger issue?  Just when the caped hero thing was normal, weird stuff was still happening.  Why can't she just be at work at the diner...

While everyone was busy talking and making fun, she just stared at Garm, the dog, and Avlazor, the...snake?  Basilisk?  Something from Harry Potter, just he had an ax instead of no weapon at all.  "I don't wish to hear any more of what you...things have to say."  She called out to the monsters.  (for the record I know what a basilisk is, duh, just April is minorly clueless xDD  I always have to clarify lol)

She nodded at Erin and the others as it was time.  "Essencia Awaken!"  She blurted, feeling the rush of wind overtake her.  "White Sentinel Ranger!"  She called, pulling the elegant and feminine pose, so graceful!  "Power Rangers Sentinels!"  She called with the others, all lined up and eyeing both of the monsters ahead of them.  Ugly things, they are...and stupid. And smelly.  And....stupid.  Maybe it's a good thing April doesn't trash talk..she's bad at it.  Also, having Ainya as he spirit guide made her feel calm...like she didn't need to call the enemies a twat every time she saw them.  Well that, and she isn't British, so why even use that word?

She watched as the others all charged off at Garm and Avlazor, leaving her behind.  Unsure where to go, she watched.  "Uh....great, two on one both sides.  Garm's kicking the crap out of Erin, but Clay's helping...and Avlazor is getting humiliated but and kicked the butts of the guys..."  She said, thinking of who to help.  She decided.

April ran, her cape flowing majestically behind her, running for Avlazor.  Three against one!  After all, he seemed stronger than Garm, plus he's an elite, so they guys may need back up.  Also, girl power!  Sorry roomie, I'll help you next time!  April through about Erin.

She ran up to Benji and Dylan as they'd been struck back by Avlazor, watching him carry on as a hulking idiot.  She huffed.  "Leave my friends alone!"  She beckoned, aiding her friends by channeling her spirit, carefully forming a gust of wind in her hands, somehow balling it up and throwing it at Avlazor.  The gust turned into a beam-line tornado, spinning rapidly at Azlavor in a blast attack.  Maybe that'd get him to back off!

"Well I haven't been called that since I lived in the UK," Erin grinned under her visor upon being called little darling. Oy. She wasn't even little! Sure, compared to Clay she was a bit shorter, but... THAT DID NOT COUNT! "Let's see what we can do if we combine our abilities, shall we?" Erin eagerly rubbed her hands together, flames flaring up again in excitement. Keep it under control, Erin... You don't want to set your friends on fire. Again, she told herself. She was pretty sure she could hear Igneos chuckling slightly at the back of her mind. And honestly, after all this, it wouldn't even surprise her if it was the case. They bonded their souls to the spirits, and the spirits lent them their elemental abilities, no? Though seriously, if more voices started talking in her head... that wouldn't be too much appreciated. Novus and Fate doing so was for now enough to get used to.

As Clay prepared new rocks to hurl at Garm, Erin created a sash of fire, putting her full concentration in it to make sure she kept it under control. Solid Earth and Scorching Fire... what would it combine into? Doomy meteors of death? Magma blasts? Surely something powerful and painful. Probably just hot rocks with fiery tails. Erin doubted it would be a good idea to let her fire burn strong enough to melt the rocks. No, best reserve that for an experienced shaman... sentinel... whatever. Someone who better knew what they were doing than just some random college student who still had to get used to... everything that was not normal.

The combined attack of Clay and Erin caused the sash of fire to entwine itself with the hurling rocks, like a snake slithering through desert sands or a foresty undergrowth. The rocks almost seemed to glow. Erin was pretty sure you could fry an egg on those things. In, like, two seconds. Any longer and it'd be charcoal. Their attack hit Garm, causing the beast to stumble backwards. Once more Garm howled to the sun before going down in smoke and sparks. An explosion followed, and the Black Dog was no more. Now... there was just a big angry Basilisk with the mind of a toddler left. "I say we help them out," Erin said with a nod to her three friends, fending off Avlazor.

(right, we're back in action! Alright, guys. Avlazor is a General, so big leagues. Fight, land some hits, but generally, get your butts kicked ^_^ Next round we'll summon the weapons :) )

(I'm tagging everyone because I'm not sure if notifications are working for all of us! :) marorda marorda Lady Insanity Lady Insanity Steel Accord Steel Accord )

Clay chuckled slightly at Erin. He called a lot of girls little darlin'. His way of calling a girl 'dude' or 'bro', pretty much. He nodded as she suggested combining their powers. He could practically feel Grondo beating away at his mind, urging him to kick butt and use the power they'd shared. Clay had channeled the spirit within and started focusing on their power.
Earth. Fire. Combined into something powerful, devastating. Clay focused and clenched his fists, conjuring up a series of boulders from the ground, keeping them steady as Erin readied her flame.
The elements combined into a snake-like form of fire entwined with stone, racing towards Garm, devastating him with a furious attack, resulting in him going down and exploding! Yeehaw! Clay chuckled under his visor and watched as the smoke erupted. Did...all monsters die like that? And did they really just kill him?
He looked at Erin as she suggested helping the others against Avlazor. He was a bigger wall to knock over, in simple terms. He nodded. "Darn tootin'. Let's wrastle that snake into a barrel!" He said to Erin.

Speaking of a snake, Avlazor deflected April's tornado straight-line attack with a sweep of his ax. He laughed and charged up his ax with dark energy. "Stupid girly girl go down!" He spat at April, sweeping his ax at her, an energy crescent attack hurling at her and striking her chest. Just like with Dylan and Benji, it had to hurt! Avlazor then jumped at the sound of a boom! Garm had been....destroyed! "Garm! Garm is killed!" He shouted in mourning of his comrade.
Benji huffed while on the ground and looked over at Dylan, then at April. He glanced over as Avlazor carried on, Garm dead. Destroyed by Erin and Clay...finally. He got an idea. "And you're next." He muttered at Avlazor. Sure he's an elite so he won't likely die here today, but the urge to just kill him was apparent. Benji hated feeling weird in the setting of his power, but if he's got the power, he might as well use it.
"Dylan, April...they combined their power. Why not try and combine ours, wear Avlazor down a bit?" Benji called out, motivated and rising up off of the ground. Combining Sprouting Nature...Splashing Water...Soaring Wind. A little tricky...or not! Simply just blast the ever-living Hell out of him!
Benji lined up with them as Erin and Clay made their way over, distracting Avlazor enough to wear him down until hey were all together. He focused his essentia, looking inside to Sylvan, seeing what he had to do. Large, mighty vines sprouted up from the ground, racing toward Avlazor, catching the Basilisk off guard and striking at his sides, unleashing all of his power at Avlazor. Benji had primed Avlazor for more attacks from April and Dylan, sending the general staggering back a peg. "He's open, go guys!" Benji said to the two of them.

(see I get notified when I'm tagged or get a like. but for some reason not when someone posts xDD)

April shrieked as the slash struck her in the chest, knocking her straight on her back, grunting on impact with the ground. Avlazor wasn't too smart, but man he didn't lack in the powerhouse department of life, now did he...
She breathed heavily and snapped up to witness Garm going down in a fiery blaze. Alright! Erin and Clay got that sniveling little freak! Well done! Oh great...now explosions are a part of April's life. This is getting weirder by the day. But so is everything else in the world. Funny how out of so many strange things in modern times, this is what she's exposed to. God, what she'd give to just be exposed to normal stuff like memes...

Back on topic, she heard Benji calling out to her and Dylan. She smirked under his visor and nodded desperately. Combine their powers? Why not?!
She rose up to her feet and stood with him and Dylan, closing her eyes and focusing on what Ainya had bestowed upon her. Power. Freedom. Wind. Combining water, nature and wind sounded weird...fire and earth at least made sense together. Maybe they could summon vines that trap him in place and a tornado to spin him around while a tidal wave finishes him off? Or...simply just go batshit and blast the crap out of Avlazor. That works, too!
"Right with you." She said, knowing exactly what to do. Following Benji's vine attack, she threw her arms back, grabbing her cape on either side. Her cloak seemingly expanded a bit as she flapped her arms back and forth, using them like wings! She continued to flap them, channeling a large gust of wind to push Avlazor back and hold him down. She cried out, forcing all of the wind she could at him. April looked to her last comrade. "Dylan, you can do this! Got for it!" She cheered Dylan on, holding Avlazor down and giving Dylan a chance to either send a wave at him or do some other water-based attack.

Dylan nodded at Benji's suggestion and formed up with April and him. After the two of them did their impressive displays of power and April gave him the go ahead, he went to work. No more, to the guts techniques that require things like him blocking or worrying about counters. Avlazor was wide open thanks to his friends. Dylan used his Essencia and reach out to Deluvian, he needed to really pull out all the stops. Deluvian was reluctant at first but then switched to enthusiastic with no prompting from Dylan. The two of them really would need to have a serious meditation. Dylan couldn't afford if Deluvian did the same thing but in reverse at a bad moment. Dylan raised his hands up, and water started rising behind him, higher and higher, wider and wider, until it looked like a small tsunami was now frozen behind him. Then Dylan took on another stance, switching to his side, his open hand in a claw pose facing down to his upward pointed fist, both were held at his side. The water reached out a little and started to build up right behind his hand and fist. It may not be clear to others what Dylan was doing but what he was about to do was the same principal as an industrial water cutter.

. . . . He was about to concentrate the force of a tidal wave through the pressure of a fire hose, aimed directly at Avlazor.

BWOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Deep down in the Underworld, Vorkalth cursed at Garms destruction. Worthless mongrel! The pathetic dog was good for nothing. It hadn't lasted a day now that the Sentinels gained their spirit bonds. And that was a pretty essential thing of who they were. He needed a more powerful monster next time, one that wouldn't so easily be destroyed. Unless... unless next time their magic would be strong enough for that. Vorkalth sighed. Spiritlike remains of Garm drifted back into the Underworld. Vorkalth reached out a hand. A worthy creature from Hell would simply return to the book, but something as useless as this? No, his Essencia could be used for a greater purpose. The Essencia drifted towards Vorkalth and... disappeared. Now... Vorkalth turned his head back to watching the battle. Avlazor was still out there, and he would surely prove to be more of a danger than the dog had.

Magic alone wasn't enough to get Avlazor fleeing back to hell, it seemed. Erin huffed slightly. Even after all the magic thrown at him, the Basilisk still stood. She glanced at her friends. "Right, Novus said we have weapons, right? Time to put those to the test and see if that's enough to make this ugly bastard leave," she said, focusing her gaze on Avlazor again. Damn, big leagues out there already. If this guy was so tough and ugly already... damn, she dreaded to meet with Vorkalth. A thousands of years old evil creature probably had to be the ugliest thing ever! Although... weren't Fate and Novus as old, if not older? They didn't look bad. But evil people probably had to look worse, right? Or was that a horribly wrong stereotype? Anyway... get off that train of thoughts and summon the weapons already!

Alright, Igneos. I presume my weapon is somehow tied to you, right? Show me what you've got and help me get this bastard back to where he came from! Erin mentally attempted to contact her spirit. It had worked for their powers, right? So this probably worked the same. Or so Erin desperately hoped.
With pleasure, Igneos responded, sounding enthusiastic and eager as last time. His excited flames spread through her body and soul, and the image of a sword appeared in her mind. Her mental image reached out to it, grabbing the sword tightly and pulling it out of the void like Arthur pulled the sword from the stone. Vision faded in again, and there she was, holding a long sword with red accents. It's weight felt perfect in her hand.
"Sweet!" she commented, quickly looking beside her to see what epic things her friends pulled from their voids.

(weapons! :D Remember:
White - Crossbow
Blue - Trident
Brown - Mace (not the ball on chain kind but the more hammer-ish one)
Green: Glaive )

Garm! No! Curse those vile Sentinels. Damn them all. Nenet bowed her head for a moment as Garm's Essencia returned to the underworld, saying a little prayer of the wicked to see Garm's spirit to the depths of Hell in which it belonged. But his energy would go toward something great...something powerful. Indeed...but alas, it is a shame that he had to die. Curses!

"Nice one, Dylan!" April praised him and gently patted his shoulder with her hand. She cupped her hands together, releasing her cape and glancing at Erin and Clay as they rejoined them all. Their powers were strong, but apparently not enough to beat Avlazor. Being one of the bigger league bad guys must have been a perk.
She looked at Erin and nodded. "Got it." She said softly, remembering they all had a weapon they could use. Just...what were they? Surely something that'd be of great help in their fight. Something to beat this ugly monster and send him back to Hell.

She closed her eyes and focused. Like when she's summoned her wind power, she had to channel her Essencia and look deep inside. "Ainya? Ainya, now's the time...I need a weapon. I'm supposed to ask you, right?" April thought. She felt a gentle breeze. "Yes, child." Ainya replied in her mind.
April could see something in the void...it looked like a...gun? No, not a gun...but a...crossbow! Ohh, like Daryl on Walking Dead! April reached out for it in the void...she grabbed it, feeling it and coming back to her senses.
She opened her eyes, and in her hands was a crossbow, done up in a very nice white design! The limbs of the bow part almost looked like a very light pink, in a way! But it's a white design...sleek, light, delicate, almost as if it were crafted in the very sky!
She held the handled and gripped under it with one hand, holding it as one would. "Excellent...this thing rules!" She commented, looking at it, and then Erin's sword, then everyone else' weapons...neat!

Avlazor yelped and cried out as vines, wind, and then a thrashing tidal wave beam struck him. He leaped backward, falling over on his back and rolling around, huffing and hissing at the Sentinels, using his ax for leverage to get back up. He's a general, an elite. He wouldn't fall so easily!!!
"Looks's like he's all washed up." Benji commented, patting Dylan on the back on a job well done.

Clay joined up with Erin and the others as Avlazor ended up like a beached whale across the way. Nice job for the others! Both he and Benji looked at Erin in the line, nodding. Okay. Weapons...weapons. "I just hope I ain't stuck with something like a tiny lil' claw, I ain't gonna scratch nothing to death." Clay muttered. (hehe, reference to BS)
He closed his eyes like the others, both he and Benji focusing hard, their minds only on one thing. They'd both channeled their Essencia and looked deep inside to their spirits, calling out to them for help.
Grondo, c'mon...gimme something to beat this sucker with. Clay thought. Don't boss me around! But I like you're thinking! Here! Grondo said back in the void, only a voice. Clay could see a faint image of a...club? Like a caveman club...no...it's a mace. He reached out to grab it in the void, opening his eyes and revealing a mace in his hands. It was one-handed, but heavy! Like it was made of rocks! A mostly black weapon with a large brown accented piece to bluntly whack people with.
"Alright! Yeeeee doggy!" he shouted. Huh...maybe that's in bad taste. Cause Garm...oh well, he's dead.

Benji looked deep inside to the void. Sylvan? Sylvan, please answer me! And not in a friggin' rhyme! Benji thought.
Oh who is this to contact me? A simple talking tree. Syvlan replied.
Benji mentally facepalmed. Look, I'm in a pinch here. Please, I desperately need help...a weapon to help me and my friends.
Ahhh! You need only but say. Here is your weapon, have a nice day!
Benji sighed externally. But in the void, he saw a...circular weapon? Something bladed but it looked like a Frisbee...he grabbed it, opening his eyes to reveal it in his hands. It was a glaive...at least that's what he felt it was. For throwing, maybe? Cutting? "I don't know what this is, really. But it looks handy!" He thought aloud, looking at the green thing, bladed bits shining bright.

(a glaive in this case is what I think, right? basically the Slicer from BS? xDD If not I'll correct it!)
