Vince and Chloe's dad had tried to warn her. Saying she would need to train along side of her brother, that she was also going to be a fighter one of these days. Turns out, Chloe should have listened. But nobody could blame her for just wanting to be normal, could they? Not like Chloe was having a total meltdown or anything now. Just...she couldn't believe this was all really happening. Vince, on the other hand was really perplexed. These three people seemed so able, and he himself was more than ready. His sister? Well, aside from a few archery lessons a while back she wasn't much for combat. This had ought to be an interesting experience...maybe a lot of training in a crash course is going to be a thing. Today wasn't what Vince expected but definitely not something he NEVER expected in his lifetime to occur. A couple of twists and turns, but all in all it was memorable. He'd trained for so long and now he's being thrown directly into the heat of things in the recruitment stage. What's to come next? Force wake up Ascelin? Is that the plan? What else can they do if Dumanax is really back? This is gonna put a damper on things... Both related and not related to Knighthood matters.

Inside the farmhouse, Peter separated himself from everyone for a moment and proceeded upstairs to the second floor. Vince and Chloe glanced around for a second as they followed Alexander, noting how the interior of the house matched the exterior. A normal, simple home. A bit large, but usually a farmhouse is pretty good in size. It was big enough to house several people! But it also looked homey and comfortable on the inside. Lived in. A nice place to live if you're going for a cozy life.
But that's the part they're all used to. Save for the Wells siblings. What they were going to see next? Different.

Alexander led the five would-be Knights to a door that led downstairs. "Braxton, Mellany, Raijah, I know you guys haven't been permitted down here yet. But now you'll see why. Welcome to out backup plan." He opened the door and took them down the flight of stairs, this time going in the door on the left instead of the right. This door didn't go to a mirror. Oh no. On this door at the bottom of the stairs was the symbol/crest of the Divine Order. As Alexander opened it for the reveal, he exposed a large room underneath the house. A 'basement' to end all basements. Underneath the farmhouse was a...secret command center? Talk about Plan B... Within this large room was a makeshift mainframe computer, a display rack/armory of a vast assortment of weaponry, banners of each class and heraldry hanging, a small library, and a center table to tie it all together. It's like something out of a superhero TV show!
"This is our backup plan. With the mirror in the crossroads being tarnished, I can only assume Dumanax' early arrival means he's taken Faye Castle. So in case of emergency, Peter and I developed this place under the house. We didn't wanna show it until it was done." Alexander said and presented the large room to everyone. Vince and Chloe were absolutely taken back.
"Whoa..." Chloe whispered.
"This is incredible.... An underground lair, fully stocked and totally functional. You've thought of everything haven't you?" Vince asked Alexander. The guardian smiled and nodded.

"In my time as guardian and historian, I've also taken a few liberties with modern technology," he stated and gestured toward the door as Peter returned to the group with a box in hand. It was locked and looked rather..important.
Vince gazed at the armory racks and forge. Some of this equipment looked...ancient. And some brand new! If not a bit different... Chloe stared at the computer system. For such a proud and ancient order of Knights, this sure looks pretty high tech.
Peter placed the box on the center table and stood at his dads side. "Everyone, please gather around the table," Alexander said to all. Vince nodded and took himself from the weaponry and a suit of armor on display, standing on the opposite side of Alexander, Chloe at his side. Leaving room for one person on her side, and two on Vince's other side before all spaces were taken.

(lowkey just saying they can stand in team order xD)

Funny how the immature one made sensible agreements with him twice in one day. Braxton knew this day would come. A true sign of the end of the world that Mellany of all people is being logical. It'd be the pinnacle of doomsday of the jungle-man wore a tuxedo and performed a lecture on advanced calculus before a class of graduate students. He shook his head with the group, watching Peter go upstairs without them and follow Alexander to the stairs leasing down. A part of the house the first three had never really gone to, other than a few moments ago when they took the mirror to find the newcomers. Braxton adjusted his glasses and kept his arms folded, elbows sharp and shoulders stiff. He took a look at the house, normal and comfortable. Boy was it about to change.

Impending doom lurking around may be have been the cause. In fact, it was. He walked with the others and looked to the left door, opposite to the one that held the mirror they went through. When the doors opened and Alexander showed off the big secret, Braxton's jaw dropped as if he'd been exposed to the cure for all incurable diseases on the the planet. Man, imagine if magic could just cure disease...alas, that isn't the case. Drat. But wow, that a room! Braxton stepped forward into it with the others and glanced around in amazement. A computer, weapons, decor...and a small library. Right underground in this basement. Braxton's eyes fell to the books on the shelves, so many old tomes and ancient codex'. All of that knowledge, possible hidden power, untapped potential on magic and studies. All right there at his fingertips! "Fantastic..." he muttered in shock.
Alexander dropped a bomb. "Wait...I beg your pardon, Alexander? With the mirror severed, Dumanax may not only be back now...but he's taken the castle?! Inconceivable!" Braxton recited in exclamation, conflicted and shocked. his expression was that of anger and...well, confusion. But that's understandable, surely. A fidget of his glasses and tug at his shirt collar and he spoke up once more. "I suppose this place will suffice if Faye Castle has been seized... Damn those vile demons, I don't understand..."

The lair was great and a perfectly timed blessing in a time of need and new troubles but this wouldn't compare to the castle. Braxton sighed. Incorporating today's technology wasn't so bad, but Braxton much preferred old and traditional means in regards of the Divine Order. Funny that Braxton, who has so many advanced pieces of high tech gadgets for his personal use, is against--mostly--technology involved with the Knights. But desperate times...
Peter had returned with a box that looked old. He must have gotten that from upstairs. But where? He hasn't seen that before...at least he didn't recall seeing it. Braxton, arms remaining folded, approached the table and stood around it with the others in the more open space beside of Vince. The one place beside Chloe, he didn't bother going near. In fact, while he's standing o the more open and two-people size space, he took the farther end and left room for someone between him and this new guy. Braxton didn't much care for close proximity to people. He looked at Alexander and Peter, then the box. Whatever's in there has to eb worth this meeting.

(assuming that's the spot? haha)

Really, by the end of the day, Mellany would have to bash her head into a wall and wash her mouth with soap. Had the words "I agree" really been said to BRAXTON?! Ugh, this was a terrible day. Just downright terrible. Mellany could just sense the smug-ness all over that damned fellow mage. Prick. Didn't like anyone. Why would anyone think a guy who hates everyone is a good knight? Sure, she might be (a little bit of) a bitch sometimes, but at least she didn't hate everyone she came across. Except for Braxton. And some people she hadn't seen in years. Oh, but this Chloe... though she had only just shown up here, she was already high on her shit-list. A whiny little brat... who freaking stole her destiny. Oddly fitting for a rogue. Ugh. Inward grumbles aside, she followed down to the basement again, this time taking anohter door. One with the Crest of the Order on it. That sure looked promising!

As the opened and the room beyond it was revealed to them, Mellany's eyes widened. "THIS is what you call a backup plan?!" she called out. Hell! This was a complete super secret superhero lair. Straight out of what you would expect in a TV-show or a movie. And, honestly, it was pretty damn awesome. Who could have thought something like this was hiding underneath a cozy and perfectly normal farmhouse? She sure didn't. Nice incorporation of modern tech with ancient knight stuff too! As opposed to Braxton, Mellany sure didn't have any issues with this. Hello, they were living in the 21st century here! Gotta keep up with the times and not remain stuck in the old stuff. That's how you get killed. Or so she thought, anyway.

Raijah cautiously walked into the room, as if he were expecting the floor to be scalding hot. "It... big," he said, lost for whatever other words he might know. He made sure to stay close to Mellany, Vince, Chloe, Peter, and Alexander. The big computer... he might be a bit terrified by that. After all, he wasn't too familiar with technology just yet. TV's, sure. But computers... he didn't understand them and wasn't sure if he wanted to. With a TV, you could just sit and look at it, but with a computer... you had to do things. And if you did something wrong, the thing might eat you. Or explode. Anyway, bad things would happen. Raijah was just sure of it! His eyes wandered the basement, looking for the less tech things he might have heard stories about. Like... like the banners and heraldry. He knew of those!

Raijah hissed as he heard Dumanax was awake ahead of time and had taken Faye Castle. He knew that meant bad news. Anything about Dumanax was bad news, unless it was good news! "How that happen?" Raijah asked. Mellany turned her head in slight confusion. Raijah actually asked a logical question here! Oh, she was lowkey proud of him.
"You suppose it will suffice?" Mellany nearly glared at Braxton for only the umpteenth time since they met. "Alexander and Peter put all this effort into building this, with more technology to our disposal than a dusty castle that's been empty for about a century at least could ever have... And THIS is what you have to say about it?" Seriously, that's just downright rude, inconsiderate and ungrateful. At least the two thought of making an amazing backup plan like this in case things would turn sour! Mellany really much preferred this cozy farmhouse with awesome secret base above a Castle. Now she hoped she wasn't the only one to think like this. Probably not... Imagine locking Raijah between stone walls... Something told her that wouldn't end well, one way or another.

The two gathered with the others around the table, taking the two free spots that still remained, with Mellany standing next to Vince and Raijah sticking close my standing next to Mellany. The latter patted the first on the back in reassurance. Today was weird, especially for him... and something told Mellany things were about to get a whole lot weirder for all of them. They curiously looked at the box. Whatever was in there was the reason why Raijah couldn't take a nap with the Mounts now, so it better be important! It probably was, considering all the news they'd had today.

The banners on the wall , five of them, were done up in blue, white, red, yellow and black respectively. All with different heraldry under a lager, golden banner. By chance, the order of the banners reflected the order of the five standing at the table with Alexander and Peter. Those were the colors chosen to represent the Divine Order's bloodlines. On Raijah's comment of 'it big' Vince discreetly whispered, "that's what she said..." bad joke is bad. But thankfully nobody heard. Braxton was impressed with the place but he seemed less than thrilled with it...whereas Raijah seemed almost afraid and Mellany was eager.
"I think it's only logical Braxton is let down. After all, you've all been expected the castle for so long. This may be nice, but it's no castle... And we don't really know how it was taken. Just that it was," Peter said to try and see it from all sides. He's a good kid but he really needs a backbone.
"Hey, I think the place is cool. If our first choice of a home is out, then this is perfect," Vince said and flashed a charming look. Chloe sighed...not because this place wasn't cool, but because she still felt like an outsider.

Alexander cleared his throat. "If everyone is finished?" Vince and Chloe nodded, Peter standing still, eyes on the old box. It was rustic and leather-bound, but sturdy like metal.
"If you know the legend, then you know Dumanax gains a new disciple in every generation of him being revived. It's believed to be part of the curse that binds his great power and Ascelin's life force in their eternal battle. Safe to say he only gets stronger with every passing century. And the Knights, while strong, stay the same. Under Ascelin followed the brave warrior, primal hunter, cunning archer, wise mage, and mystical enchantress. I fear one day the Shadoji will overpower the order of things. Peter," Alexander began and gestured to his son to continue.
"So when my dad got word by the Gods he'd be guardian, he got to thinking. After research and learning about his duty, he found a way to enhance the power of the Knights to match and maybe even surpass the Shadoji demons," Peter told the others, energetic and full of hope. His eyes looked happy! Peter opened the box's lock and spun it to open in the others' direction, waiting before revealing the contents.
His father continued speaking. "Through the integration of technology, I have found the ultimate way to evolve your power and form this team into something more formidable. And given Ascelin is still sleeping, what better time to test it out now that the evil is here. And it is my humble pleasure to present you with these," Alexander and Peter both opened the box. Inside were five...flip phones? Like older style of cell phones, but fatter, a bit on the chunky side. Above each phone was a small coin of sorts. Medallions? Just like the banners, they too were all different colors. Blue, white, red, yellow and black.
"These are the Knight Cellulars. Transformation devices. With them are your Medallions, infused with the power of the Mounts and respective inheritance energy. These...morphers, will allow you to evolve into a powerful new force of Knights. The Power Rangers." Alexander explained, Peter giving a giddy quick clap of hand. They looked at the five.

Chloe blinked. "Are those flip phones? Like before what we have now?" She asked, holding up her iPhone 6+, more focused on the style of phone these 'morphers' seemed to be. "Anyways...Power Rangers? That some kind of super hero or something?" She asked. Her brother nodded. "I guess so. Heard of them before, but never knew they were real..." he commented.
"I don't understand. You want us to use these experimental things to become...Power Rangers? I've trained as a warrior and learned how to use a greatsword. I don't know anything about being a Power Ranger..." Vince admitted. And thse aren't the pieces of gear he thought they'd be shown. Where are the weapons they're supposed to use? Real ones, not practice ones they use back home!!! "Besides, if and when Ascelin wakes up isn't he going to be a bit...what's the word..." Vince wondered.
"Baffled?" Chloe input. Vince tilted his head in thought and wondered if the others had a piece to put in the puzzle.

(maybe everyone puts in a word to finish Vince's sentence? xD)

Interjecting another bothersome glare at Mellany. Braxton huffed and kept those arms folded, using his nose to adjust his glasses again. The way the frames kept sliding, he'd end up having to get either new ones or put on some of those nose-grip things. What are they called, specifically? Hmm. Not an important enough thing for Braxton to care about, honestly. He nodded and praised as Peter backed him up. "Exactly. After expecting a castle for so many years, as nice as the place is, it could never compare. But they've done a fine enough job in here. It'll do for the moment," he said to Mellany. Doing everything but sticking his tongue out. Because he isn't childish. He glanced for a moment at the young Peter and pondered. While Braxton doesn't hate him, he does see him as sort of a pushover when it comes to aiding other people and taking orders. Obedience is one thing, but this is another. Just trying to keep the peace isn't going to work forever.

Disregarding the newcomer Vince, he paid attention to Alexander. Troubling that in the legend and reality Dumanax gets a new ally with every passing century. Why every generation that happens, not even Braxton knows. And he knows a lot of stuff. But he didn't even really listen as the basic rundown of the tale was recited. Not the entire thing was that, but stating what was already known was a bit redundant in his opinion. He eyed the strange box. How had technology been brought into the equation, exactly? Enhancing their power sounded like magic's job.
He glanced inside the box.

Cell phones... that's the grand plan? What, does AT&T offer a new unlimited data plan, talk/text and a sensible knowledge to eradicate evil doers? No? Thought not. The strange medallions with them made Braxton look at the banners, matching them in color coordination. Hearing their power source and the nature of these...Knight Cellulars, he grew a bit skeptical. And as 'Power Rangers' had been uttered...he groaned in annoyance. "Let me understand this, Alexander. These cell phones can be used with coins to turn us into Power Rangers? Something that's only ever been considered a myth in the realm of things mystic and fantastic?" Relying on a myth and not tested 'morphers' to face an all-powerful enemy? Insane.
He sighed again. "I think you're missing the point," he told Chloe as she focused on the style of the phones...huh, they are flips. A bit dated, no? Never mind that thought. Back to business. "I'm afraid the idea of becoming Power Rangers is preposterous. Could you even tell us how this works? I'm inclined to think that a staff would do just fine."
He looked at Vince. And like his sister, Braxton too added a final word. "...culture shocked?" If anything, Ascelin might feel that upon his awakening in the future if the world didn't end first.

Peter really needed a backbone. What Braxton had just said was inconsiderate and rude. No need to speak up in his favor. Seriously... Mellany likes Peter like she would with a younger brother... if the Knights wouls have siblings. But the boy really had to learn to stand up for himself a little bit more, say what he thought instead of trying to please everyone and keep the peace. That rarely worked out well in the long term. She crossed her arms and huffed, still thinking anything along the lines of "This will do" was rude. At least Vince and Raijah seemed to agree with her.

Raijah and Mellany listened as Alexander explained the legend again. Raijah feverishly nodded. Yes, he knew the legend, and he knew exactly what his position was. Even if he didn't understand what "primal" meant. Probably just a word these people used to describe the Tribe. His face contorted at the mentioning of the Shadoji. They were very evil, and it seemed everyone was worried about them being here. He understood that too. Usually Ascelin would be awake before them, but now... Raijah looked into the box, and saw strange things the others referred to as "cell phones", even after Alexander called them "Knight Cellulars"... geez, that was going to be a tough one to remember! He carefully reached out a hand to poke the strange thing. The medallion coming with it looked less strange, really. Alexander completely lost Raijah as he went on.to eexplain what the devices did. Too many difficult words there... But clearly he want the only one who didn't understand. "Confuse?" Raijah suggested what Ascelin might feel when waking up. He knew he was, for sure.

Mellany too listened as Alexander recited the legend. Yes, she knew the stories said Dumanax got a new deciple every time. To hear it was true... yikes. She'd rather have heard that bit was just a story. She shook her head in disbelief as she looked into the box and as it was explained what they were seeing. These flip phones... Moorhead... prowler rangers... sounded like something from a childrens series. Not something actually capable of saving the world from demons and whatnot. "This is just insane..." she said, shaking her head again. Mellany pondered for a moment what Vince might be trying to say. How WOULD Ascelin feel waking up to this all? "Lost?" Waking up in a different time and with all these odd things going on... Probably lost. And confused, as Raijah suggested.

Vince wagged his fingers as the other four provided conclusions to his sentence. "All of the above," he told them. Ascelin would no doubt be baffled, confused, lost and culture shocked whenever he woke up. If only there was an alarm clock they could set to go off right about now. A time like this, they needed their leader... sure they haven't met the guy yet but he's their leader. That's how his generational thing works, after all. Given this emergency, however, they can't afford to be picky.
Questions naturally rolled in. "I don't have time to sit you through the science of it all. Just these are going to greatly amp up your powers and then some," Alexander said. "There is no guarantee this will work. But it's our only shot," he admitted. At least he's honest with them all. He knew this idea was a bit far fetched but the other option to die cruel and painful deaths didn't look as appealing as trying to become something more and drawing on their powers to battle the forces of early-awoken evil.

"Come on, guys...being Power Rangers is a sure fire thing. It has to work. Ya just take the medals, plop 'em into the phones, hit a button and boom--you're a super powerful Knight!" Peter tried explaining. Chloe scoffed. So that was a fail.
"Look, I'm sorry but I haven't at all prepared for this. Good luck and all but please you have to be mistaken..." said the cheer leader, taking off her boyfriends varsity jacket and folding it over her arms to carry it. And shamelessly hold it as a sign of comfort in this weird time. Her brother was less than amused. "Hey look I know it's scary and weird but you're a part of this, sis. Big brother's gonna protect you," he tried to tell her. But he sounded like he was more trying to make himself sound good. Chloe scoffed again.
"I don't need protecting, Vince. Just please, take me home...I'll be waiting at the car," followed by an upset walk out of the lair and back up the stairs. Vince looked at the others and exhaled through his nose. "Look...I don't know about being a Power Ranger. We're all trained to become Knights and serve the King. But we have to face facts. This is all too soon...we aren't ready, guys. Not exactly united, either, given how we're question each other and just going into denial about shit." Vince laid some honesty down on everyone.
Alexander and Peter exchanged a look and mutual sigh. "You five must become Rangers. It's out only shot at stopping Dumanax before he can take over the world," said the father. Peter just looked at his feet. So far...swimmingly successful time.
---
Faye Castle, deep within the mountains and hidden by layers of fog and trees had been enveloped by a wicked lightning storm. Dumanax rose up from his throne and gestured forward for his disciples to gaze out into the broken shards of the mirror. He saw it. The place the Knights were hiding...some sort of unbalance was throwing off their barrier of protection. Maybe the current generation isn't so unified. This would be their undoing. Dumanax snapped his fingers and commanded Torth, specifically to join him. The others would stay at the castle...time to greet their foes.
---
A few moments had passed as Vince spoke with the others. None of them seemed to agree on Ranger powers, nor did they agree how to handle anything...what a group this was turning out to be so far. "I know it's insane, Mellany. And Braxton, I know you're doubting the logic and tradition..." Peter put out there and tried to reason with them. Vince had stopped trying...maybe he'd just take Chloe home. This is all confusing and now rather messy.
Speaking of Chloe, she'd just made her way back up stairs. This girl had enough for one day and just wanted to go hang out with Brooke and Jacob, as well as the rest of the cheer squad and their jock boyfriends. She walked out the front door of the house and felt something...different about the air. Like something was missing. Hmm. She stepped down the steps of the porch, when suddenly before her very eyes...in a flash of darkness....appeared more of those Thrall creatures. And with them...Dumanax, and one of his disciples. At the farm. Chloe's eyes widened and she let out an ear-piercing scream of pure terror.

Alexander felt weak...it was obvious by looking at him. Amidst the bickering over the morphers and Power Ranger business, the screams from Chloe were heard all the way down there. Vince snapped his head in that direction. And like any big brother would, he shouted "Chloe!" to the top of his lungs. "I feel something....wrong. Quick everyone, grab a weapon," Alexander said and gestured at the armory. Vince ran and grabbed a two-handed sword, running up the stairs with it in an emergency. Chloe sounded like she was in danger, but what could possibly be happening? Alexander felt something too so that wasn't good. Peter grabbed a bow and arrow off the rack, just in case. He and his father followed Vince and the other Knights, now armed, up the stairs and outside to the front of the house where Chloe had screamed bloody murder from.
Vince, Peter, and Alexander fell silent....standing right before them on the property...despite the protective barrier....was Dumanax himself.

Explanations were always a good thing in the realm of logic and high education. As much as Braxton trusted the Harts, he was ever reliant on solid ground and something he knew would really work. Like studying from an ancient tome and researching a powerful spell that could put the evil on hold for as long as possible. "So not only can you not tell us about it, but there isn't a promise that it'll actually work? Typical," Braxton said and finally let his arms down from their folded position. Alexander wasn't giving promising words here. And his sons backed up reasoning didn't help. "I fail to see how doing that is going to provide us an edge. Sounds like something a children's show would describe."

Hearing the siblings bicker reminded him of his time with Mellany and the jungle boy. "Sounds familiar. Let her go, I say," Braxton told the others. Clearly that child didn't belong here, even if she was apparently part of them. Also her brother really gave off the vibe he was bettering himself on the outside by talking with her. Warriors should be noble and just...not a little vain and douche-charming. Although he agreed to just let Chloe go, he also found her a bit lazy. If she was a real Knight, she wouldn't back down and just leave. This is proof she could never be one of them. Perhaps this newcomer had a point, as well. Following the girls exit he made a valid point on their current state This group needed Ascelin to unite them and bring them together. As of now, they aren't a well oiled machine at all. More like a pack of wild animals let loose in a suburban area in modern day Tokyo. What?
"I hate to say it...actually no I don't. None of you are competent enough to fight just yet," he said...seeing himself as the only one ready. "But we aren't fit to become Power Rangers. A myth isn't a good enough force against a real threat." Really, what goo was trying to become these Ranger people? The training they already have is sufficient enough. "We should battle the Shadoji. Just because we aren't all ready doesn't mean we can lack in responsibility. Suck it, frankly," he told the others. Really, even if they aren't fully prepared they must fight. Don't bring dishonor to their families legacies.

A small amount of time went by. A small discomfort overtook Braxton's mind. Something felt off. But he couldn't place it. He looked to Alexander among all of the infighting and chaos breaking out. He didn't look so good...not again. What's wrong this time? Hmm...
Braxton's attention had been grabbed by a loud scream coming all the way from upstairs. It had to be Chloe. "Something's wrong? Oh nice detective work, Sherlock," he muttered under his breath. Maybe that girl just broke a nail or something. IS that what teenager girls care about? He didn't know for sure. But Braxtron grabbed a weapon off of the wall, a magic staff. Racing up the stairs with the others to see what the deal was and just how bad the apparent danger was.
He chased them outside to find Chloe...staring down face to face with Thralls...and who Braxton only assumed could be...wait...no that's impossible...the barrier should work...and he shouldn't...oh Lord above...
"D-Du...Dumanax...and a disciple, I presume?" Braxton whispered. He was....scared? Maybe not scared but...shocked. He tightly gripped his staff, fully ready to put everything he's learned to good use and finally engage in a real battle... does anybody need a personal lightning storm? How is he here? And why now??? What the Hell is happening with all of this unpredictable bull shit...

"But... story can be real, yes?" Raijah asked. "Story of Knights real too. Ascelin and Dumanax real." Well... he had a point there. If the legend of the Knights was true, why couldn't this be possible? But Mellany didn't see it, and she was not going to say it again that she agreed with Braxton. She refused it! But really, doing something without the guarantee of success? Something that sounded straight out of a kid's fantasy? That wasn't going to give them an edge when they would have to fight. And what would Ascelin possibly think if his Knights, for generations a proud order, would suddenly resemble Saturday morning cartoons? They couldn't do that! She shook her head with a small smile. Peter tried his best to explain things, but... come on... it couldn't be that easily. And cue an eye roll as Vince tried to be reassuring to his younger sister, while obviously only trying to look better himself. Seriously.. this was to be the team of knights? A prick, a douche, a whiny child who just walked out of this all, a guy who up until a month ago had never even seen a TV, and her. Such unity! Really, this was all just going to go swimmingly! Well, at least the kid wouldn't be missed.

"Bye bye," Raijah waved goodbye as Chloe walked out, obviously missing out on the context of the situation.
"Even if it's in her blood, if she doesn't want part of it..." Mellany paused, weighing her words but then remembering she didn't quite care what others would think of her for saying what she thought. "Then can we even use her as a part of the team? Who's to say she won't back out in the middle of a battle and screw us over?" They were already enough of a mess as they were like this, as Vince pointed out. Really, if they'd have one member who didn't want to be a part of this all, then... well... things could only get worse. She turned to give Braxton yet another glare. "Just because you've been here the longest, it doesn't make you any more capable than we are, asshat," she spat at him. Really, all of them had been training to become a Knight since they were little. Everyone minus Chloe. Just because he was the first one to be recruited, it didn't make him any more superior than the rest of them. Heck, if anything he ought to help out the newer people, not be a total arrogant dick towards them. ... Don't let anyone ever figure out she thought that just now.
Raijah just nodded. He didn't understand the whole "Power Ranger" thing, but the others were obviously against it. What they weren't against was fighting Shadoji, and that's what they're supposed to do, right? Fight Shadoji. Dishonor was a bad thing...

With the little bit of time that passed, an unsettling feeling found it's way into Mellany and Raijah's minds. And Mellany was sure Braxton wasn't the cause here, nor these weird Knight Cellular thingsies. It was almost as if... something was missing. Raijh shifted his weight from one foot to another, nervously looking around. It felt bad. Like how he expected an animal to feel when it was being hunted. The idea of going from being the hunter to the hunted... scary stuff. The piercing scream made the two jump up. "Maybe instead of being an ass for once, hurry your ass up the stairs instead," Mellany said as she pushed past him. If Alexander felt something was off... no way this would be about something insignificant. Mellany was tempted to grab a bow and arrow as weapons, seeing as how comfortable she was with archery... but Peter was ahead of her. Well... let's just settle on another staff then.

Raijah looked at the Knight Cellulars as they were told to grab a weapon. He could throw those at whatever was up there... He's thrown rocks at animals before, and it really could work as long as you hit them hard enough. Raijah shook his head, grabbing a pair of daggers from the racks instead. Those worked just as well. Not from a distance... but depending on what was out there, he could probably get close.

And out there, on the property... was the last person, if you could call it that, they were expecting. "Yup," Mellany whispered back, also gripping her staff tight. Well this was just a lovely way to end a strange day. New Knights, she agreeing with Braxton several times in one day, Thralls, Dumanax on their doorstep... "How's he here though?" she asked. Really, the barrier should have kept him out. So then why...? Raijah glared at Dumanax and growled, like a proper jungle-raised man should.

Hart Farm had been protected by a strong barrier built by magic, keeping unwanted company and evils out at all times. How this had happened? An unknown. Dumanax slipping through with Torth could never have been foreseen. Alexander kept his son close as they all stared down the evil before them all. Vince did the same with Chloe, using one hand to hold the super heavy sword and the other to reach in front of Chloe and keep her safe. Thralls swarmed around the two villains and kept their weapons in grip, locked on the humans standing in front of the house.
"Greetings, Divine Order. Before you stands Dumanax, Supreme Disciple of Silence, leader of the Shadoji army, the first evil to lay ruin to the Earth," announced Torth, his arms out, the cape drifting in the breeze. The bit about being the first evil may be untruthful, but the threat loomed still. "I am Torth, Disciple of Fire. And today, we cut down the Knights before your King wakens." He spoke on Dumanax' behalf, for his master is mute.

Alexander stepped up in front of the team, armed to the teeth with common weapons from the lair. "Shadoji. Begone from here. How did you slip through our barrier? I erected it long before you awoke, that shouldn't be possible," he called to the two.
Torth chuckled. "Simple. Your barrier was risen with weak and amateur magic, historian. I'm surprise your mages didn't lift it. But by what I can sense, neither mage is even at a half way point to being as strong as their ancestors. If the auras are correct, none of these Knights are ready. Lacking, weak, not unified. They aren't worth the dirt beneath out heels," he beckoned. Alexander tightened his fists. How dare this monster say such things...this generation isn't perfect, but he believes in their potential. Three of which he knows how strong they are already, and the new ones show promise. At least the guy does, anyway.
"Your barrier is as strong as this mock of a generation. The Divine Order is finished long before your King even leaves his slumber. Die, you wretched filth!" Torth shouted, a fireball forming in his palm. He shot it out at them all, the ball causing an explosion right in front of them, fire and smoke filling the air.
Both Alexander and Peter were sent onto the ground, knocked back by the force of it. Vince dropped his blade and also went up in the air, landing on his back, a loud yelp from his lips. Chloe threw her hands up in front of her face defensively, the blast knocking her back against a support beam on the porch and causing her to drop the jacket. Luckily she isn't heavy enough to break it.
They rolled on the ground, groaning and throbbing in pain, coughing from the smoke as it flew away, flames already dying out. SO that's why he's the disciple of fire...

"Thralls, capture the historian...guardian, whatever, and bring him to the castle. As for these knights? Do as you wish.. They pose no threat," Torth said and ordered the Thralls forward at everybody on the ground.
The foot soldiers managed to pick Vince up off of the ground and toss him forward with surprising strength. He grunted on impact with he ground and reached for his greatsword where he dropped it. A Thrall prevented him from doing so and slammed the blunt side of its weapons blade into his face. Ouch!! The Thralls continuously beat on him, going for the others as well, despite the best fight being put up in their weak state after being fireball-ed. Vince swung his fist and slammed it on ones face, countered by a knee to the gut.
Chloe avoided being grabbed, getting up and running away in fear of the monsters. A Thrall got close and stepped on Jacob's jacket on the ground, giving her a chance to pull it out from under the thing and make it fall. Hey, she got one! Sort of. Just then, a Thrall shoved her from behind and put her on the ground. Gravel hurt when you were thrown into it. She groaned and rolled as they stomped at her, nearly crushing her head.
Peter coughed and tossed her the bow he grabbed from down stairs. "Chloe!" he called and tossed it. She scrambled up to catch it and shakily drew an arrow to aim. Those lessons from a couple years back better work... She carefully aimed and fired, hitting a Thrall in the arm with an arrow. But no cause for cheering, as she was thrown down harshly on the ground. At least her aim is good...pain tolerance, not so much. The Thralls kept attacking the Knights, Alexander and Peter trying to avoid combat, seeing as how they aren't exactly super fit for it. This is bad Really bad.

Braxton gripped the staff in his hands tightly and maneuvered it swiftly in the air, preparing to cast a spell and rain lightning down on the Shadoji in front of them. Indeed this was Dumanax on the farm, threatening their lives and and already implying death on them all. He was early in the line of awakening destinies and clearly he was already able to come out of his own lair...the castle, and wreak havoc. As well as this Torth, the fire disciple. Braxton had read about him before, but he'd never seen him. The books have limited sources in them. Well, some at least, depends on what book someone does research in. The ones he grew up with were good but as detailed as the books in the lair down below, he suspected.
He grumbled as the disciple spat nonsensical crap at them. Coming here to attempt in killing them before the true battle even begins in their time. Something about this plan of theirs was plausible, but foolish. As well as the talk of the barrier. Because this group isn't all buddy-buddy that's how they got in? "I doubt friendship is magic in this case. And if you want to face someone who is ready, I'm just the mage you're looking for, swine," he protested to Torth.

Then came the blast. As the fireball flung toward them, Braxton braced for impact, the sudden blast of raw power and fire--unmatched to anything he'd personally ever conjured. He clung onto his staff as he flipped around in the air from the power of the blast, landing on his side in the gravel and the grass. He coughed up what he through was blood. Damn...this disciples power is unheard of...stronger than he assumed it would be...
"Oh this will be interesting," he muttered form the ground as the Thralls were commanded to attack. Take Alexander? They would not succeed in that department.

He picked himself up with his staff used for balance, dodging immediate attacks by the savage attackers. He used the staff to knock out ones knee from behind and trip it, swiping his weapon around in an effort to knock back all he could. He slammed its end on the ground and conjured a bolt of lightning from the sky down on them. But because he was slightly weakened, it didn't harm them. Instead, the Thralls kicked Braxton back and stole his staff, turning it on him and whacking him in the back with it. He let out a pained sound and fell flat on his face, hoping his glasses didn't break. He summoned a glyph on the ground, only to get his hand stomped on and prevent it from being brought up. No magic for this mage today! Attacked on their home? Not when he expected.

Mellany held her staff with both hands, readying to freeze whatever would come at her, Raijah, Alexander, or Peter. If there was any doubt left, it was taken away when the other guy spoke. Yep, this was Dunanax, Shadoji leader, old evil demon. And the first threats and implying death had already been made. Joy! It really was getting worse and worse here, didn't it? Humana was awake too early, Ascekin was still sleeping, Faye Castle had been taken, and now the Shadoji were capable of coming here. And not just Dumanax. He had taken Torth the Disciple of Fire with him. And then getting in because not everyone here are exactly friends? "That's utter bullshit," Mellany scoffed. Raijah looked around in confusing.
"But... there no bull here..." he said.

And then they all got a fireball thrown at them. Mellany and Raijah readied themselves for the worst. Raijah was flung into the porch. There go Alexander's repairs. Mellany was sent into a tree before falling forward, her staff landing behind her. She scrambles to her knees and reached for her staff, but a Thrall kicked it away while another kicker her in the gut, nearly knocking the wind out of her. Welland rubbed her hands again, trying to use the same attack she had done earlier, but with the little air she had left in her lungs, the freezing ray was hardly more than a cloud of snowflakes. The Thralls planned on taking Alexander, but no way she'd let that happen! If only there was something she could do... She couldn't even pick herself off the ground right now.

Raijah scrambled back up, used to the kind of pain from the countless of times he had fallen out of trees. Didn't mean it didn't hurt, though! His daggers had landed somewhere in the grass when he was thrown into and almost right through the porch. But he didn't need daggers! He could fight pretty well without them. Raijah leaped at a Thrall's neck, pulling it to the ground. Soon after, however, other Thralls grabbed him, pulling Raijah off their comrade, kicking him right back where he came from. Back into the porch. Oy.

The henchmen proved a most excellent means of distraction for the disgraces of Knights. So weak, so disassembled. They were in no condition to carry conflict with the Shadoji, they'd be dead within the first few minutes of a real encounter. Compared to what they had in store, this attack was just a set of training wheels. Torth ordered Thralls to capture Alexander. Without their guardian and mentor, these Knights would stand less of a chance to ever be prepared. Without him, they were finished.
Vince came back from the knee to the gut with a wide sweep of his arm, his muscles flexing with adrenaline form the midst of battle. So rushed, too. Out of the blue they'd been attacked on the farm all because of what--a faint connection among peers? Vince put up a Hell of a fight with all he could muster, regaining his blade and swinging it at the Thralls, at least taking a few down before he lost it again, a pull from behind putting him back on the ground. He pulled one down with him and wrestled it, trying to get an upper hand in the situation.

Chloe just scrambled around, trying to stay off of the ground again. She fired another arrow, this time getting a hit on ones chest. Those lessons at least paid off in the end...but the arrows didn't stop the threat. A punch right into her stomach out Chloe down on her knees, wheezing and silently wishing it would all just be over... it's too much all at once She just wanted to scream!!!
Continuing their assault, Dumanax and Torth walked closer and closer. The father and son duo of the Harts made moving targets, trying to avoid being taken or hit by the Thralls. Sure they aren't incompetent, but they aren't fighters either. Not really...at least not without a weapon of some kind. Alexander took Peter's arm and pulled him around, desperately avoiding capture in hopes they'd win.

Not so simple. Torth had risen walls of flame to not only prevent the weak knights from getting closer, but also to prevent the Harts from getting away. Soon, walls of fire surrounded Alexander, Peter, Dumanax and Torth. Alexander protected his son, telling him to get behind him. If anything happened to Peter, he'd never forgive himself. "Back away, demon! You have no place here! You can take me, just leave my son alone!" Alexander shouted at Dumanax. The disciple stood back near the flame wall.
Dumanax approached the two slowly, not a word uttered form the muted demon. Alexander threw a rock at his head, but that did nothing. The Supreme Disciple grabbed Alexander and pulled him close. He lifted the man by his shirt collar into the air, Alexander's legs kicking and trying to break loose. "Dad!" Peter yelled, only to be kicked back by his father. "Stay away, Peter!"

Just as he did so, Dumanax quickly drew his blade and ran Alexander threw the stomach. His sword stabbed directly through him and poked out of his back, pulled out almost as quickly as it went in. Alexander let out a pained cry, his eyes going wide as the steel penetrated his body. Dumanax dropped him on the ground, a floppy and pathetic man. The fire walls died down to reveal to all what had happened. Peter watched as Dumanax stabbed his father, letting out the loudest cry in the history of...maybe ever? "DAD!!!!!!!!" He yelled to the top of his lungs until his throat hurt, crawling to his dads side. He's already cold. Tears poured down his face, sniffles coming in fast. Vince and Chloe looked from their respective fights. "Alexander!" "Mr. Hart!" They both shouted, addressing him differently.
He held onto his son with his dying hands. "P-Peter..." He tried to speak.
Dumanax turned away as if it were nothing. Torth laughed a most foul laugh. Torth then flicked yet another fireball out, this time hitting the barn where the animals/mounts were. The barn went up in a blaze, destroyed instantly. The mounts were able to escape out the back of it, but now their home is gone... Both of them turned away, seeing the Knights as helpless, finished. The master and his disciple simply vanished, taking their Thralls with them.

Vince and Chloe were immediately relieved by the exit of the enemies. They couldn't have taken much more...especially Chloe, the untrained fighter, really. The barn suddenly exploding made them gasp. More destruction. The animals got out, but they couldn't see that part. Then they turned their eyes to the more pressing matter....Peter...
Peter held his father tightly. "Dad.." He said, crying as any boy would.
"Peter...I'm so...so...proud...I l-lo....lo....lo...." Alexander weakly spoke...his hand falling to the side. He was dead before he could tell his son he loved him one last time. Peter sobbed...this is grim. Vince and Chloe helped one another before slowly walking over...this is bad....Alexander dead...the barn destroyed, the animals possibly gone, too...

Braxton slipped away from the brutal Thralls and managed to get his staff back. He twirled it so that he got a few hits in on their bodies, casting a ray of magic to burst forward and shove the enemies back. He extended his arm for full contact, at least weakening the soldiers around him. He surely began to cast that glyph again in order to bolster his strength, only to again get has staff knocked away. Thralls kicked his gut and swatted at him with their weapons, cracking his glasses in the heat of things, Braxton rolling on the ground, simply overwhelmed by the constant bombardment of the Shadoji forces around him. His training hand't quite prepared him for such an attack, none of his magic seemed to be strong enough given how weakened he was after the blast.

He watched as fire had been called on by the disciple, cornering Alexander and his son. Not good. Braxton quickly got up by was pulled back by a Thrall and severely beaten on his back. He yelped and fell on the ground again, coughing with every blow dealt on his body. The fire obstructed his view of what was going on, making his mind race with all sort so terrible scenarios. Perplexing actions led to even more perplexing reactions, however. Braxton attempted a spell to free him of surrounding foes but--you guessed it--he was just bogged down yet again. He could hear yelling and it sounded frantic. What the Hell is going on back there? The flames finally lowered and showed the events that had just taken place behind them. Alexander falling from Dumanax' blade...murdered in cold blood. And his son had to watch as it all unfolded. He reached outward. "No!!!" Was all he could bare to speak during the attack, trying to fight off the demons and react to what was inevitably Alexander's death. He then shot his glance at the barn, watching it go up in flames, engulfed by evil. No, not the mounts, too!!!! What else are they going to lose???
Shadoji forces had abandoned the farm. Maybe they thought this was the end..that they were finished. Braxton regained himself for a minute and caught his breath, a quick spell recited that repaired his glasses.

He, too, made his way to the unfortunate sight of Alexander's corpse. He listened to the crying, admittedly getting a bit choked up himself. But he didn't shed a tear. Crying is a waste of time. "Great...just great..." he muttered. Not only has the barn been destroyed but so has their mentor! What's gonna happen now? "What else can go wrong...he's dead, the mounts probably are too and this isn't at all a worthy group...and Ascelin isn't awake..." Braxton whispered to himself, thinking out loud. He paced around.

Mellany picked herself off the ground again, grasping for her staff. These freaking Thralls were so going to get it! She bashed her staff into the nearest few, hoping to knock them back and create some distance, giving her some freedom of movement. She twirled her staff, ready to send sharp shards of ice at the Thralls. It had some effect, but not quite enough. One sneaky bastard attacked her from behind, knocking her into the ground once more. They really weren't quite ready for this, especially not after being blasted with a fireball. Still, they wouldn't... couldn't give up!

The good thing about being knocked through the porch was that Raijah found his daggers back. The and news was that he was some distance removed from his friends and couldn't just help them when they needed it. Like now. Best be quick then. Raijah leaped up, and with a feral cry he jumped into the neck of a Thrall, making good use of his daggers and then rolling aside to the next one. But the Thralls were quick, and hit him in the head with their weapons as he roliked past. Ouch!

Both saw the flames appearing and knew it could only mean bad news. Peter and Alexander were cornered, they couldn't get to them and vice versa. Trapped. And Raijah, as a hunter, knew being trapped was very bad. Especially when it was with fire! They were being beaten, feeling weaker and weaker with each blow. Then came the bone chilling scream. Whatever happened in that smoke, it was terrible.

As the fire and smoke cleared, a most horrid scene was revealed. Mellany noticed a sour taste in her mouth, and she was really sure she was going to throw up. "Alexander! Peter!" she rushed at the both of them. This... this was far beyond what magic could possibly heal. Alexander was done for, dying with Peter next to him. And then he actually died... how could this happen? Their mentor dead, the barn destroyed... what would they do now? Where would they go? Mellany rushed towards Peter, knelt next him and put an arm around his shoulders, wanting nothing more than to hug the boy tightly. "I'm so sorry..." She may not always be nice to everyone, but... well... this was a horrible situation, and since living here she had started to see Peter as the little brother she couldn't have. And nobody EVER hurt people she cared about. Good thing she didn't hear what Braxton whispered, or else Alexander might not be the only one who would die today.

Raijahs first worry was the mounts when the barn went up in flames. If the mounts didn't get away somehow, they would all be dead! He would never talk with them again, of give Bear belly rubs. It made him sad, but what made him even more sad was seeing Peter cry because Alexander got murdered. And Peter had had to watch. Raijah looked angry, as if he wanted to say many words, but didn't know the words in English. And as if the language of his people lacked the words to express himself. But one thing was sure: he and Mellany both had years welling up in their eyes. Today had been bad, then got worse, and now it was just beyond terrible, grim, and very sad. There were no words to properly describe how they felt right now.

The barn burned, only small parts still standing. The mounts did escape, but ran off unseen behind the house. In this form, they were squishy and easy to harm. Best to not take chances and just hide until they were sure by instinct it was safe to come out. What would they do without the barn...the house is still standing and remained undamaged, save for part of the porch. Again.
Peter continued to cry over his fathers body even as Mellany threw her arm around him. Chloe ducked down and gently rested her hand on his leg. "Peter....God I'm so sorry," she said softly, expressing her condolences. She knew him a little from school. They weren't really friends...but she'd have to be pretty heartless not to feel bad here. She truly felt sorry for all of this that had happened and wanted Peter to be okay...poor guy...
Vince stood back, folding his arms and cursing in his mind. Damn it, this wasn't supposed to happen... On one hand Vince wanted to express his sorrow for Peter and mourn the loos of the kids father. He just met them, really, but he already started to like the Harts. And now one's gone... On the other hand, he knows they can't sit here and do nothing if Dumanax is already plotting to lay ruin to the world. He wants to be helpful and kind...he really does. He ran his hand through his hair and let out a breath, trying to figure out what they're all going to do now. Without their guardian.

Peter mentally acknowledged Mellany and Chloe as they kindly expressed their sympathies, but physically he only cried and held his father. "Dad..." he muttered through his faint breath. A miraculous moment took place. Suddenly Alexander's body began to glow a bright yellow light. Peter shut his eyes and felt his father turn into...nothing. He simply faded away into light. Alexander's body turned to the light, rising up into the sky and forming a sort of dome over the farm. Like his essence, his spirit repaired and renewed the barrier. How is that possible? Peter sniffled one last time and looked up as the barrier glowed before turning transparent, invisible to the naked eye. Vince and Chloe stared up in awe. Vince never knew that could happen...how does someone just turn into light and fade away? Is that part of being a guardian? Chloe was still so new to this..she was awe struck.

Wiping his eyes one last time, Peter then felt an odd sensation in his chest. He knew what it was. Now it's up to him. He stood up out of Mellany's grasp, Chloe and Vince looking up at him. He eyed them all, as well as Raijah and Braxton. "Inside. Now."
Well that's...odd.
Vince stepped closer. "Peter, are you--"
"I said inside, now. There isn't time. We have to move. Now," Peter replied and cut him off. A bit emotionless and cold. He just lost his dad and he's in mourning...yet getting to work? Doesn't he need time to grieve? He does...but he can't afford that luxury. Not right now. He felt it, something else was about to happen. No tome to grieve and mourn this loss....even if the heart wanted to. Peter looked the five up and down and gestured for them all to follow him inside.

Vince looked at the others. They could all likely agree that Peter wasn't okay. But protesting him would do no good. He and his sister followed Peter inside the house. They were led back downstairs to the two doors, going left into the lair. Peter seemed a lot more determined than before. Something changed in him... "Everybody, assume position by the table like you were before. Kneel on one knee. I'm going to perform the knighting ceremony. There isn't a lot of time," Peter said and quickly drew a sword from a sheath on a mantle. It was a longsword, heavy and finely crafted. In the guard was a gemstone bearing the order's crest. This was a saber used for the ritual.
Vince and Chloe without word assumed position. Vince knew this day would come, just not like this. But now he's going to be knighted by...Peter. Right after such a tragic loss...but time wasn't to be wasted, it seemed. Chloe hesitantly knelt with the others. She hadn't agreed to this knight business...she was a normal girl. Not a knight...she was a decent enough shot, but.. she sighed. After what she's seen today...what's happened...she won't fight it. Time to face her blood right. This is it. Peter readied the sword for the ceremony as the five prepared as well.

Meanwhile, in Faye Castle...something wicked this way comes...

Braxton did feel remorse over Alexander. He really did. He'd known him the longest and gotten to build trust with him more than anyone. But he saw no use in sitting around crying about this. People die every day. No use in slowing down because of it, especially not when they have an entire world to look after. But how can they with their mentor down and their leader still asleep? This would prove to be a problem for sure. Plus somebody should do something about the burning bard? Braxton conjured a quick spell to settle the flames and kill them out. Then the strangest thing happened. Alexander turned into light and dispersed into a new barrier, erecting a stronger one then before. Braxton gazed up on the barrier and the light. "How is that possible?" He asked, eyes fixated on the glowing aura surrounding the farm. And the boy had to feel as his father turned into essentially a spirit...of sorts. Shame. He watched him rise up.

Now this is an unseen turn of events. He was commanding them inside. All of a sudden Peter thinks he's in charge? Well at least someone's smart enough to do something. Braxton didn't like being ordered around by a teenager, however. There indeed wasn't any time to mourn. They had to move on. "I'm glad at least somebody isn't busy moping. Sad but we do have a lot of work to do," Braxton argued. Valid point. Cold, but valid. The suddenly strict and down to business Peter made for a moving cause to go inside. He followed him and the rest of the group back indoors and down to the lair once again. Hopefully they wouldn't be back on the topic of the Ranger deal. That was all nonsense, and untested. Once he'd heard they'd be doing the knighting ceremony? A ritual that officially joins them as knights, or so he believed? Now is as good a time as any. But without Ascelin, Braxton didn't like doing this. He knew it had to be, however, so he complied. He took the spot from before with the others and knelt on one knee. Destiny was just in his grasp and he wasn't going to deny it. He'd trained all his life and awaited this moment. It will be performed by nobody he expected, however. At least it'll be done. And hopefully the kid knows what he's doing. He eyed the sword Peter took out. A thing of beauty, it was. "It seems like an eternity has passed since I heard about this ritual. About time, I say," he said, focused and ready. This is what mattered. Forward progress in efforts to stop the Shadoji. Not sit around and weep like children. He understood why they would want to weep. But the reality is that they can't now. Duty calls.

Mellany continued to hush Peter as he kept crying. Losing a relative, especially a close one, was always painful. She could only imagine how painful it must be to see a relative getting murdered in front of your eyes. There was nothing that could be said, she thought. Nothing that would make anything better, that is. Show blinked slowly as Alexander turned into light and floated up into the sky, renewing the barrier. "How...?" Was all she managed to utter. No need to ask the same question as Braxton posed. This was just so weird. Dumanax appearing with his disciple, Alexander being murdered and turning into light... She shook her head lightly. Seemed like everyone here had a whole lot of things to give a place.

Raijah looked at the girls comforting a sad Peter. Death was a sad thing, but from what he could see here, people in this part of the world dealt with death much differently than the people of his Tribe. There deaths were celebrated. It meant a soul returned to the ancestors to watch over the tribe from the sky. But it looked like Alexander's soul had a different purpose. His body turned into light and floated up into the sky. Raijah looked up as it happened. Seeing a soul was weird, but he thought it was a good thing. The soul repairing the barrier was good too, but... what happened to Alexander's body? Now they would have nothing to say goodbye too. And saying goodbye was always very important.

Peter suddenly standing up slightly startled Mellany. This was a very sudden change in behavior. She would protest, suggesting it might be better for Peter if he didn't get straight back into working. However, it seemed clear he wouldn't take no for an answer here. Mellany got back to her feet, glancing at the others for a moment before following Peter inside. Judging by his tone, something terrible was about to happen. So it was best to hurry. Raijah nodded. Best get inside and do whatever had to be done. Once back in the lair Peter told them to take the same positions at the table again. Usually the Knighting Ceremony wouldn't be done by a teenager... who just lost his father. Well, nothing about today had been usual, so this was just another something to add to the list of weird. It felt odd to do this without Alexander around, or without Ascelin being awake. But desperate times called for desperate measures. The sword looked impressive. It was time... they had all, minus Chloe, trained for this their entire lives. "High time to stop the Shadoji before they pull something like this to anyone else," Mellany said, full go determination. Raijah nodded, looking equally determined.

(I feel like this post is short and bleh... But I'm still on my phone and my concentration is just about everywhere while trying to type this. Colleagues are distracting xD )

Vince looked at the others as they knelt down before Peter. "I agree. Time to put our training to the test... and prey to God it works," he told the others. Time to stop the Shadoji or at least try their best. Okay. So their mentor is dead. So their leader isn't here. So the demons are ahead of schedule and just decimated them all on their own turf and blew up the barn...where's the good part? And only four of the five have trained. Technically the one who hasn't trained has got some experience in...but it wasn't training, really. Extra curricular activities didn't count compared to lifetimes of work and dedication.
Waving the saber around, Peter paced slowly back and forth, reciting something under his breath. He knew how to perform the ritual, and now he possessed the ability...just... The shock and freshness of his dads death still stung. Of course it did. If he felt nothing after such a critical loss, he'd be stone cold.

He looked at the five on their knees. "Are you ready?" He asked. Vince nodded affirmatively. He was ready...born ready. He didn't expect this today, but in the back of his mind he had always prepared to be knighted. Chloe exhaled unsure. "I don't know..." she said. Vince eyed her. "Chloe, relaxed. It's in your blood. Somehow. Besides, I'll be here every step of the way. Big brother's gonna protect you," he told her. She looked at him.
"Don't need protecting...need training," she said. Really, she wasn't ready. Can she just rewind and go hang out with Brooke? No? Oy...she looked at Peter as he asked everyone, listening to the others. After what she's seen today she knows it's real. And she knows the stakes... and what could happen. She didn't know Peter too well, but she knew he was good and his father didn't deserve that. She inhaled. "Let's do this..." she uttered. She would commit. She would fight. Vince gave her a nudge.

Peter then stood before the five as the knelt. He place his palm over the gem on the sword. And out from it on either side, two ethereal blades of light appeared. He stood in front of Vince in the middle of everyone. The real blade plus the four ethereal ones made for five. "Normally this would be performed by my dad. Or whoever is chosen to be guardian. And under Ascelin's watch. But obviously now isn't that time. Dad is dead. Now it's up to me. Now is the time for you guys to accept your destinies and embrace the power bestowed upon your bloodlines. To uphold the responsibilities of the Divine Order and forever protect our world from the threat of the Shadoji demons. Do you accept the power, the responsibility? Do you promise to serve, to protect, to fight?" Peter asked everyone, holding the sword up, the four light blades mirroring it.
"I accept," spoke Vince. Chloe nodded hesitantly...she went to school with this kid? "I accept," she said. The others were allowed to say their piece before the next phase.

"Then I take it upon myself to deliver the honor," Peter said, trying to remember how he's supposed to say it...he wiped his eye, a tear down his cheek, "...the honor of being joined into the Order. I knight thee, humble servants of justice," he said and lowered the blade over Vince's shoulder, over his head and over the other shoulder, the four ethereal blades doing the same to the others. "I knight thee, Divine Knights." He said. And from the blades over the fives shoulders, small pulses of light entered their bodies from the tip. The light infused Vince and Chloe with a sudden rush of adrenaline, power...knowledge.
"Congratulations, everyone. You're now this generations Knights. Welcome." Peter told them, the light blades vanishing and Peter sheathing the sword.
Vince and Chloe slowly rose up from the ground. Something was different in all five of them. This must be part of that Divine spirit that links them in to this....woah.
"How do you guys feel?" Peter asked. Vince popped his back. "I feel great. Stronger...like I could fight an army, just like our ancestors," he said.
Chloe looked at her hands. "Weird. I never expected to be like this...but I feel cool..." How does someone new react to being knighted? This is something knights can only dream of until this moment. This power is truly a holy calling...in a way.

"I doubt prayer is gonna help. No question. We have to be ready, like it or not," Braxton interjected to Vince. He had been raised to go on pure fact and cold hard truths, not ideology and wishful thinking. Can't be very loose when you wield magic and pose risk of demons entering your head or corrupt temptation. Magic is wonderful, but dangerous. He didn't disapprove of other peoples beliefs or methods, in fact he highly respected all. Just in this case he knew he was right. Or so he believed. But he's always right. Always has been throughout his entire life. Perks of being smart. And highly esteemed in everything he does.
Was he ready? Was today a disaster so far? The answer to both questions is yes. "Yes," he told Peter. He gave the brother-sister duo a glare. Honestly...who was this guy? And this girl seemed far beyond incompetence...

His eyes followed the sword that Peter wielded, watching the light-constructed ethereal replicas in the air. This must be so he can knight everybody at once. Such a fine blade, it was...and the gem had to be magic. Indeed this sin't how the ritual is supposed to happen. But, better it be done this way than not at all. At least Peter can perform it. Albeit makeshift-ly. He was nervous, Braxton suspected. Now of course this bother him, but he excused Peter's nerve son behalf of all that's happened today. He felt chills down his spine as the ceremony began and spoken word of their rights by blood. "I accept this honor," he told Peter. Finally this day had come, finally he would get to roll in the wonders that awaited him. All of the power, the adventure, the duty. He was born for this. Raised all his life and learning the most powerful magics and how he could use them.
Eyes on the blades. Peter faltered. Keep focus, keep focus. Braxton thought at him. He slightly lowered his head as the blade came down over his shoulder, head and opposite shoulder. More chills fell though his spine. If her were to take his shirt off, you could probably see his spine poking out from the chill of excitement. Now he had been knighted as a Divine Knight. Oh he has awaited this moment. He gasped slightly as the light burst into him. Rushing him with new waves of power and other wonders of destiny. He bowed his head once more and stood up from the ground. Now he was officially a Knight. Not just born into it. He'd become one under true circumstance. He felt the magic in him. It flowed like a stream.

Whispers in his mind from his subconscious filled his thoughts with a sophisticated codex of arcane record. "How do I feel? Like I was always meant to. Born for this. I feel superb," he answered. And it was true. He felt amazing. A bit sore from earlier, but amazing. "Now I must ask, what's our next move? Surely you have some kind of plan," Braxton spoke. He assumed Peter knew what to do now, since he's taken charge. Then he realized Peter just now took charge. Well...okay that wasn't fair. but surely he knew of a plan or something they could follow.

"So what if it doesn't work? If it makes people feel better..." Mellany replied to Braxton. Why take something away if it made people feel better and helped them through tough times? To her that seemed similar to telling a child Santa isn't real.
"But... prayer and ritual do work," Raijah said. "Home does it, always." Really, his people knew so many prayers and rites to Gods the people in the cities had long
forgotten about... and they worked! Mellany glanced at Braxton, as if telling him "see?".
She wasn't as strict as Braxton was. Sure, it was important to be disciplined when using your magic, and focused. But there was nothing wrong with unwinding every now and then, with having some fun. But now definitely want the time to have fun. Now was the time they really had to focus. Today had been a disaster, and it would be up to then to safe the day. "I'm ready," she said, giving a nod to Peter.
"Raijah ready," Raijah nodded as well. They had to stop the bad people before they would hurt anyone else. They had killed Alexander, and possibly hurt the Mounts. And for that, they were going to pay dearly.

Judging by the light-swords besides the real one, all five of them would be knighted at once. Did it always happen like that, or was this just because they were in a bit of a hurry? Anyway... time for the ritual with the magic sword. Or at least the sword with a magical gem in it. The whole situation was a bit... unorthodox, but given the situation it made a lot of sense. Mellany gave Peter an encouraging smile. He was doing well, considering what had happened. You can do it, Peter. She thought when he seemed to falter for a moment, but then excellently picking up again. "I accept," she said.
"Raijah accept," Raijah spoke. This was or. They really were Divine Knights now. As the light flooded into then, Raijah felt flooded with the knowledge of his ancestors. Their spirits were with him, now and always. Mellany felt the knowledge of her predecessors filling her mind, Arcane knowledge that had always been there, somewhere locked away in her mind. And now she could access it. They slowly rise back to their feet.

"Honestly... I feel a little bit funny. Noting bad, just... strange," Mellany said. This was a kind of feeling she could get used to. She felt empowered.
"Raijah feels strong. Like spirits guide Raijah," the hunter spoke. His senses felt sharper than before, like he had become more dexterous... and some things he couldn't quite put into thoughts, let alone words.

They curiously looked at Peter as Braxton asked what the plan was now. Good question. The only thing they had earlier was the Power Rangers thing... we're they going to ho through with that? Or was there another backup option to take care of the Shadoji problem until Ascelin would awaken?

Can't believe that actually worked... Peter thought and set his eyes on everybody. They should all be feeling this way. Funny feelings were natural according to records. So this was all going as expected. About the only thing to go right today... And as planned. This day hadn't been what any of them had thought. Should have been normal, but no, it seemed as if destiny had other plans. If destiny wasn't the force at hand here, it was probably just some mythical nonsense saying 'screw you' to everybody so far. A bug had been caught in Peter's throat as Braxton asked about a plan. "Next move? Right. Because there's always a next move or a plan..." Peter thought out loud...unsure.

"Peter...you do have a plan right?" Vince asked on behalf of everybody. "Lay off, you guys. Consider what just happened, I doubt everything's coming naturally right now," Chloe defended. Mustering strength to speak up for Peter showed she wasn't the total bitchy cheer leader stereotype...just ignore she's wearing the uniform, still. And most of the time fits the image pretty well. But really after such a hectic few minutes so fast, it was unlikely to think the guy had an idea of what to do. Who can think that quick? Peter cleared his throat. He appreciated the gesture but really he could speak for himself. This group seemed like they'd at least be somewhat efficient at doing their duties...maybe. Trial and error would be a factor here, hopefully with not much error to speak of. And short trials meaning they would be successful.
"Actually I have a plan. Well, dad did. But I know it..." he said softly. He uttered the word 'dad' with a quiver. Obviously it was still a fresh wound on his heart. But there isn't time to grieve today...after Alexander died, Peter had been passed something. He felt it was coming. Calm before the storm...minus the calm.

Faye Castle darkened. Dumanax and Torth's return was met with a stronger lightning storm outside the castle walls. Dumanax took his place on the throne in the main hall. The shattered mirror on the far wall hummed. "It seems as though the Knights this time aren't at all united. They will not be a problem, my fellowship," Torth told the other disciples.
"Our lord killed their guardian. Without him, not only are they pathetic and scrambled, but they have no guidance. And no King, either. Safe to say this generation shall not be an issue. It is our time to reign supreme."
Urla clapped and spun on her heels. "Oh how lovely!" She said with her hands clasped together. How joyous!

Dumanax then pointed at Torth, Zaken and Rogana. Through hive mind...he commanded them to to go the human world. Torth bowed. Zaken and Rogana would be a fine pair to accompany to the human world with their Thralls. Time to take over the human civilization and the world once and for all. They would carve the way for all Shadoji!

Vince looked at the weapons on a rack, a suit of armor, the banners...all of the glory down in the Lair. "So what is the plan, Peter? Not to rush you or anything, but...maybe we should get moving. Now that we're knighted," he said. His sister rolled her eyes but agreed hesitantly. Ughh...why do they have to get going now? So much just happened, can't they take a break? It's all a bit much to her. Getting to work just sounded so wrong at the moment in time.
Sweaty palms rubbing together and a slightly unsure look on his face, Peter turned to the others and nodded, exhaling. "Well, the plan is...go through with the Ranger powers. Look I know it isn't a guarantee but it has to work...so much time was put into it, it has to!" he said. Vince shrugged, Chloe just fidgeting with her nails.
Why would this be so complicated? If only Alexander was here...

"Just take a good look," Peter began and showed the group to the table once more. The box with the Knight Cellulars and the medallions remained. Vince and Chloe were unsure about being Power Rangers. None of it seemed realistic, and Vince would only train to be a knight as he expected to be his whole life. Chloe may be committed now but she's still just a kid among them all. So is Peter! "These morphers were built by me and dad. Along with a bunch of other stuff. The medallions are infused with the souls and powers of the mounts and spirits of the bloodlines. These aren't just to enhance your powers, but also give you access to new armor and weapons. We have focused really hard into making them. Just take these and see if you feel anything," Peter said, trying his best to get them on board. He was desperate. Dire situation was dire, it seemed.
He took the five medallions from the box and passed them out. He handed the black medallion to Raijah, the medal was black, silver in its rim, and on the medal itself was the silver etching/raised outline of a bear. He handed the yellow one to Chloe, an outline of a wildcat on it. The blue one was handed to Braxton, bearing the image of a wolf. White was given to Mellany, a deer on it. And finally he gave the red one to Vince, which had a horse on it.
Vince observed the red medallion, the horse outline on it catching his eye. He fiddled around with it in his hand, letting out a breath and focusing on it. He tried to feel something...and he did...maybe a connection of some kind? Like it was part of him? The essence in it.... what was this feeling he felt? It sort of belonged to him...
Chloe looked at her medallion. Yellow like her uniform! Cute! And it had a cat on it! A wildcat, but really just a cat! She too felt a bond with it, however. It was almost talking to her? "I sort of...feel something," she commented.

"Good, you're all supposed to feel something. These medallions have power in them. If you put them in the cellulars, they unleash their next potential on you. Like..." he said, trying to get them on board, everyone seemed a bit mixed, "I guess I could say it's--ahhhh!" Peter started to explain, suddenly screaming and falling to his knees. LIke his father did earlier! Was she getting a headache from nowhere like him, too? This wasn't good...Vince and Chloe gripped their medallions tightly and eyed Peter, concerned and confused. What's happening?!

During the brief spat about faith and prayer, Braxton glared at Mellany and Raijah. He completely respected other peoples beliefs and never wanted to cross anyone on a fragile subject, but until there is a finite proof of a high power actually giving a damn about the world and not ruling through fear like a tyrant, he'll stick to his logic and reason. Ironic, given he's a part of a divine order with holy implications. "Yes, the defense of the Tarzan man is going to change my mind," he muttered as Raijah gave his two cents. Mellany's support only made him want to roll his eyes and groan.
"Now now, we don't need the newcomers acting high and mighty. If Peter has a plan I'd like to hear it already. Or whatever it is Alexander had thought of before passing." Really, everyone is too focused on talk and small issues when there's the pressing matter of an ancient evil about to destroy the world. Was he the only one who had been prepared?
---
Return of their master and their comrade brought good news. Andero and Rogana chuckled in response to learning exactly what the situation was. No guardian, no castle, no Ascelin, no hope. The Knights of today were as much of a threat as a fly is to a hungry frog. Victory was at hand, and nothing could be done to stop them! Soon the humans would all become slaves to them!
"Hmph. We already own them. Swine," Andero thought vocally, knowing with this condition he could twist fate to his whim. The Knights may as well surrender and hand themselves over as the property of the Shadoji demons now.
A twirl of her umbrella and Rogana was gleefully pacing around the floor. "Dreadful day to be human."

Oh how marvelous this would prove. Rogana had been chosen to go with two others to the human world! "Fun, fun, fun!" She exclaimed and opened the umbrella, resting it over her shoulder. "Deadly tales shall await, for the Divine Knights it is too late!"
---
Again with this Ranger nonsense? Untested and truly lacking plans of no promise for success? Braxton once again folded his arms, the smaller compact muscles on them flexing slightly in stress and annoyance. At least this new guy finally wanted to move forward. But Peter was just so...
"Even if there was a lot thrown into this, Peter, the assurance isn't there. We'd be better off just sticking to what we know will work and going in head-on to face the enemy," Braxton said. He didn't mind change, so long as it proved useful. This wasn't a useful change. It was childish at best. Naive. Not concrete like he'd imagined it would be.
There is an extensive selection in the library down here. Maybe one of these books provided guidance where they would lack in it. With enough time he could make sense of those books and learn from them! No magic was too complex for him to learn over time. Like riding a bike.

He sympathized with Peter in his desperate attempts to win everybody over with his plan. The science behind these medallions and these...phones was less than factual. There had to be magic at hand here. Had to be. Power enhancement, weapons and armor, couldn't be all science. Even if that would be more comforting. The Harts weren't mages, and Braxton didn't trust magic to non mages. Would anyone trust repairing an automobile to someone who only just saw a car for the first time?
Humoring Peter was simple. Complying for now just to hear him out, Braxton took the blue medallion from him. It had am etched image of a wolf on it. The blue was rich and made the medal stand out to him. Maybe there's an indication something is really special about it. Created for his use. The wolf either had to be decorative or related to the mounts. Everyone had a different color and animal, so he assumed it was of the mounts. Was he bonded to wolf somehow? He hoped not...that mutt was no smarter than your average flea-ridden beast. No offense to the wolf, though. He let the thing rest in his hand and just sense its aura. "Maybe I feel something, as well. Whatever is at hand here."
About to hear again how this would work, Peter suddenly cried out. Just as his father had done earlier today. Braxton jumped. "Peter?" he asked and rested his hand on the boys back. Something wrong again? Was it like before, did this work like some kind of hereditary thing with head aches? If it meant danger yet again, this day was only gonna get more interesting.

Zaken and Lusa were very satisfied hearing what the situation for this new generation of Knights was. so pathetic, so desperate and hopeless! Absolutely wonderful. The Knights didn't stand a chance. They as well as their world were lost and done for. It would be a simple matter to take over the world, crush those who opposed them, and take their rightful place as rulers of the world. Zaken chuckled and nodded in agreement with Rogana. He unsheathed his blade with a metal hiss and stroked it. His weapon thirsted for blood. Knight blood, specifically. Any human would do,but a Knight would make it even better. Oh, how great it was he was among the chosen to pay a visit to the human world. Soon the red rivers shall flow through the streets again," he said, stroking his blade once more before sheathing it again.
---
"I'm with her here," Mellany nodded towards Chloe. She may not particularly like this girl yet, but at least she told the others to back off and leave Peter be. Sure, they would have to do something if they wanted to save the world, but Peter had just lost his father, dammit! Give him a moment, already. She and Raijah both curiously turned their heads as Peter said there actually was a plan to speak off. And they were back at the Ranger-things. Odd as they might sound. "Although we definitely all think it's an odd idea here... Well... it's the only plan we got, isn't it? Might as well give it a shot," Mellany spoke up. "And if it doesn't work out in the end, we can always go back to sticking what we already knew. Given that we won't get torn into pieces while trying out something new." Hey, she was trying to be helpful here. And really... if they only had one plan, minus sticking to what they knew which had proven to be oh so useful when Dumanax showed up at their doorstep... Why not at least try?
"But if give shot... only shooting help," Raijah said, motioning towards the bows and arrows. "Blade don't shoot. Staff don't too." Well... the staffs did shoot magic, sort of... so maybe staffs could help too. But blades not. Raijah had never seen a sword shoot anything. Or a dagger.

Raijah and Mellany took their respective medallions from Peter, holding them in their hands and taking a good look at it. Mellany traced the outline of the deer with her finger. Raijah mainly seemed to wonder how the shiny silver got into the black medallion. This was some skilled craftwork here! He could appreciate that. Just as how he appreciated the people in the Tribe who made charms out of bones and stones and feathers and shells... and anything nature gave them.
They closed their hand, holding the medallion tight. Mellany closed her eyes for a moment, having figured out a while ago she could focus better on sensing magic and similar things if she did so. "I... I feel it," Mellany said. "Some kind of essence... a connection? I'm not too sure... but I feel it." She opened her eyes again, taking a deep breath.
"Raijah feels too," Raijah nodded. So they all did. Maybe there really was something going on here that could help? But just as Peter started to explain how it all worked, he fell to his knees screaming in pain. Just like what happened with Alexander before. Yikes, that didn't bode too well.
"Peter okay?" Raijah asked, sitting down on the floor across of the boy, trying to get a look at his face.
"What's happening, Peter?" Mellany asked.

Shortly after the disciples were sent into the city...
The expression of pain and desperation crawled onto Peter's face. He shrugged Braxton's hand off of his back and shoved Raijah away. Normally he'd not do that, and he hoped they knew that, but he was just in a huge amount of pain. God, what was this racing sensation in his head?! Is this what he got from his father father he died? He didn't know it would hurt so bad. Tiny pins and needles might as well have been pushed into his brain with about three tons of dynamite. It. Really. Hurt. Peter couldn't even respond to anyone, something about this just made it impossible to reply with a coherent sentence. He rolled around on the floor, tears on his cheeks from the Hell he was going through. Poor kid, it wasn't his day.
Vince and Chloe stepped back, unsure of what to do. "At least you're optimistic," Chloe said quietly to Mellany amidst the insanity. She felt for Peter but didn't know how she could help him right now. She wanted to, though. Vince glanced at the table again, at the box with the cellulars inside of it. He breathed...wondering...

Peter's head finally eased. He took a deep breath and let himself recover and slowly stand. Vince approached him to help him up, lifting the boy from the ground and making sure he didn't push himself too hard. Something told him he was really weak now.
"Something's wrong in Westfield," Peter muttered. Chloe and Vince looked at each other, then the others, then back at each other. "I can feel it...like how my dad could...I don't know, but I can just feel something bad..." He gripped his forehead and carefully stepped off to the side away from everybody. He wandered on to the big computer in the makeshift mainframe. Peter put in a few commands to try and find out what was wrong. He exhaled as he found it. Somehow he knew where to look, and somehow this computer let him find the source of his pain...it was tied to the mirror network through magic. The ultimate mix of magic and technology in the Lair. "City central, there!" He said and pointed, a message appearing on screen the computer.

Vince looked at the screen, Chloe down at her phone. Jacob texted her.
'Babe, something really weird is happening in town. Where r u?!?!?!'
Chloe sighed and left him on read. She too looked at Peter's monitor. On screen was a blaze of fire, civilians running around frantically from...Thralls. "An attack...and it's led by.... Zaken, Rogana, and Torth again," Peter told everybody. He tightened his fist at the sight of Torth in the trio of disciples. Oh he would make him pay...and Dumanax...
"Disciples of Chaos and Mystery, according to the records. Dumanax must have sent his goons out to do his dirty work," he said. The three disciples walked through the city central, leading Thralls around and wreaking a little havoc, destroying the city in their wake, scaring people and causing them to run. All of them were immensely powerful... They weren't even luring the Knights. They were just taking the city as it was their own place to rule. Vince clenched his fist, watching the evil beings stroll through his home town. But the power being displaying on screen, the evil...no way in Hell he and the others stood a chance. They weren't strong enough to face that just yet... Something had to be done, though!
Chloe stared at the screen. She dropped her phone...at least it's protected by the sturdy case. Watching Westfield fall under attack, her home, her city...its people scared. Terrified, probably going to die. It was like watching the apocalypse unfold. Hours ago none of this was real to her. And now?

"They're too powerful. I can sense it somehow, guys....the disciples can and will obliterate you," Peter warned.
"We can not just stand by and let this happen, though. We've got to do something, even if we aren't ready yet!" Vince defended, not wanting to see senseless death. Not more. Maybe it sounded like he boasted himself up but he genuinely wanted to protect people if he could. He had to.
"But what can we do? This is insane...and God, how many do they need?!" Chloe asked, pointing out the number of Thralls on screen. So many!!!! Chloe looked at everybody in question, pushing her hair past her ears.

Peter looked at them, swallowing and breathing. "No way you can beat them. Not like this...but there is one way..." he said, looking at the morphers in the box. It's the only way. It has to be. The medallions remained with their sense of purpose in hand.
Vince and Chloe followed his gaze to the box. Vince looked back at the screen, then the box again. No promises it'll work. But if it gives them the strength... "It's insane..." Chloe commented truthfully.
"But it's our only option," Vince input. Both of them approached the table and reached inside the box. Chloe grabbed one of the cellulars first, the one that was paired with her medallion in the casing. She held it in her hand and examined it...she exhaled. Vince looked at the other three. "Well?" He asked them, not grabbing himself one just yet. Peter looked at them too. "Please, guys...." He begged. The only way to beat the Shadoji is to accept this next level of destiny.
