Potential Avatar the Last Airbender roleplay

Hello everybody! I was wondering if anybody would want to do an Avatar roleplay? I was thinking a small group, maybe 3-4 people.


This would be my very first rp thread so you'd have to bear with me while I figure out the ropes. But I haven't really thought of any real plot ideas. I was thinking we could all try and collaborate and see what we want to do. Though if y'all are interested, we could do it with the same plot as the TV show: the avatar and others are on an adventure to help teach him/her how to master the elements.

Cool cool! Do you have any ideas on what you would want to do lot wise? And @Raggamuffinz, how was that experience?

It was quite fun. I'd like to know when our story was. It was nice also because we had some unique characters and it was slightly more adult then the TV shows.


Like.. How many years before or after Last Airbender, Legend of Korra, etc.

Well I've been trying to think of possible ideas but have been coming up slightly blank. We could either do a variation of the original storyline but maybe change up the way the countries are (water tribe could be large, fire nations small, earth kingdom trying to take over etc) or maybe one like in Korra but with different people and a different villian?

Yeah! I have ideas and things that I could change I would just need to figure out how they would all play together. So you'd be cool with an alternate time line then?

Okay! Sorry this took forever to reply (life got crazy) but I've thought up a few different ideas. One of the big things that would determine which idea I will choose is what nation the avatar is from. Yes, they can be from any nation, but once that is decided I can get a firmer grasp on the details. But I think the gist will be something like this. It'll be a slight mix between Airbender and Korra. Basically there will be a group of benders who believe that only benders should exist and that they should be the ones in charge because clearly their ability to manipulate elements makes them more evolved. Their goal is to not eliminate the non-benders, but just to try and show benders that they really are beneath them and that they should work for the benders. In turn, the Avatar, depending on their backstory, will more likely than not try and stop the group because they believe and promote equality.


I still want to think about whether this will be limited to one nation or spread out throughout the other nations. That just depends on how large the group is and their influence. Whoever creates the Avatar will influence my decision greatly. But yeah, that's the general gist of it. Let me know what you think and maybe I'll create a recruitment post about it.
