Defallion Manor:
Nodding gratefully at Kecei as she handed him a pack that tinked softly with the sound of glassware, Rich replied to Banrigg, "How's twenty five gold sound? At least for now, can even give you your first month up front since you're willing to take this on right away."
He looked down at Banrigg, "Here in Porthca that should cover you reasonably for finding lodging, food, and even if you need to purchase anything for protection or merely fishing." Smiling tiredly, "We try to take care of those under our banner where we can." Exiting the home he motioned for Banrigg to follow him to a carriage that sat waiting outside. Waving over his shoulder to Kecei who stood by the door, she closed it as he entered along with Banrigg and the pair found themselves headed along the streets towards the De'Porthca Manor.
De'Porthca Manor:
Anthol nodded once more, "Then truly on your return we will have to discuss what we can do for each other."
Sidwae moved to Robern and Joane, leading them from the dining room, "I believe it's time these two returned to their lessons, now that we're more aware of what is going on around here." The twins grumbled for a moment but followed their mother, Ben still sitting at the table, staring at the brooch the Knight had offered. Picking it up he studied it with a frown. "Still don't understand where this came from ... we should have all of our brooches. When ... Cyne was taken, in his casket, his remained and I took it. So whose is this?" He glared at the Knight again, "I still say it's a fake."
Taking it from Ben's hand, Anthol looked it over as well, "Hm ... these could be found within our tombs, not just those currently in this house. However I doubt this is a fraud." Holding the brooch up to the light from a window, a tiny point of light came through the brooch, giving a very small image of a ship against the far wall. "Given that hardly anyone gets their hands on one of these, and very few even know this is a feature of our family brooch, I'm inclined to believe it's real." Taking it from the light he looked down at it in his palm, "Ben, are you sure the one you have is real?"
With a sigh, Benito reached into his pocket, pulling out a practically identical brooch, "As sure as I can be--" as he spoke the brooch in his hand started to whiten, losing all color and soon was merely a brooch-shaped salt chunk. Staring at his palm, Ben first paled then became quite red, "That -- that bitch!" Closing his fist the salt chunk crumpled, leaking out of his hand and onto the table. Anthol merely sighed as he placed the brooch on the table next to Ben.
A knock on the door was audible, faint words were heard before around the corner entered Richeye and a dwarf trailing behind him. Richeye looked curiously at Eliza hiding around the corner but shrugged, his focus instead caught by the sheer amount of people present, including two he didn't recognize. He paused before giving a bow, "Ah ... I don't know some of you, I am Lord Richeye Defallion. I came over here to offer aid from the Defallion family with both this dwarven fellow Banrigg, and potions that father and Lady Kecei made last night." He gestured towards Banrigg then took off the pack gently and held it out for someone to take. "I believe there's three potions of standard quality, and one of greater quality. They were quite proud of how that one came out."
Shifting his weight he looked at the group, "Seems I barely managed to catch you all before you left..." his eyes caught on Benito, "but perhaps I came at a bad time all the same...?"
