Concrete City was a region that took up all of Southern California, completely abandoned. Fifteen years ago, a gas leakage contaminated the air, due to a power plant malfunction while unsupervised. Civilians had to move quickly if they wanted to leave the city before outer towns started sealing it shut. Concrete city was essentially left deserted, except for several stragglers.
The gas mixed with the oxygen levels in Concrete City came to be known as The Spritz. Any person dumb enough to breathe without a mask or bandanna, some sort of filter to breathe outside, would become infected and turn to a grey skinned creature called a Tzigane. Monsters that appeared human, but only had the same desire. Murder, torture, blood, the Tzigane were mindless killers with mush for brains.
The Spritz also had a certain reaction with UV rays. It would almost magnify the sun's rays to the point of being cooked like an egg.
Seven years after Concrete city was shut in, a man by the name of Turrick Manning found a way to control the Tzigane, and now uses it as a way to rule over Concrete city. No one else had figured out how to control the Tzigane, and if Turrick didn't get his way, he'd send them out to use force, or just kill.
At the time, a radio station hosted by someone who called himself 'PomGrenade,' had been running for a few months. PomGrenade's plan was to bring Turrick and his band of Tzigane down, and escape Concrete City. Through his listeners, which he called 'Psycho Faces,' he managed to pinpoint and locate exact locations of Turrick's bases. With some help, he brought one of them down, and soon after, another. PomGrenade's station was a rock station, that played rock genres of music from any era. Because he was constantly on the move, no one knew what he looked like, or what he really sounded like. Not even Turrick.
