Fandom Pokemon Mystery Dungeon?

Hey! I should warn you that I am ill and I may not reply to anyone that needs replying to. But I thought I'd let this simmer for a bit or at least have the thread ready for after the little site update.


I've been doing a lot of sprite recolours in one particular colour scheme, so I thought, "I'll see if I have something I can use theme for!" Since roleplay tab things look like they'll be coming back, it'll be easier to keep track of everything in groups. One of the only reasons I haven't done any group rps is due to this fact (and that every single one died or went horribly wrong)


So, we can either do this as a normal pmd rp or have this twist...


Pokemon are becoming corrupt, shown in a change of colours. These pokemon can be extremely violent, and more powerful than normal. There haven't been many cases, but there are those that exist that act completely normal, but are also shadow. Many of these have opened up guilds to rid of the shadows, and some even hope to cure themselves.


I already have a guildmaster in mind as my character (as well as another) so that spot is taken. Though all the other roles in a guild are completely free. Romance can happen, just stick to rules and don't make others uncomfortable. You can have your own variants and up to 4 characters, more if we get desperate. Pokesona's are allowed as I will be playing my own anyway (that includes hybrids). Don't go op though, be fair. No legends unless you have my permission, or you play as a legend that can be have multiple of it (like the eons, heatran, etc) nothing like Arceus or Mew please (unless you have a less powerful variant)

Well, it still is there for people to join bit the other two seem to have disappeared. I'm a bit busy recently so it's hard for me to get on every day (I'm still here though)

I do have a few quick questions, if that's okay AriaPsiana389

Before I start making my character, I wanted to know if:

a) playing as a shadow-tainted Pokemon was required, and

b) if there is a set character sheet

I'm still interested over here though I can't say I would be on daily to be honest. I typically try to check all messages on a weekly if not biweekly basis so if that's fine with you I'm still around. As for the plot, pokemon becoming oddly violent seems to be generally in line with the pokemon mystery dungeon series so far as I recall (It's been a while since I last played the games). So having that and the shadowy portion seems pretty much in line with things.

So, just try your best to get everything else set up if you can.

That's completely fine. I won't be on daily myself anyway. And yeah, it is. I just thought having some that are a little different will make it more interesting ^^ kinda like Primal Dialga if you've ever played/remember Time/Darkness/Sky

Whenever I have the time I do try to think about what else we can include and any other ideas for the plot line

Well, beyond setting up the guild and starter seems pretty much like a regular start to me! It depends on how you want to roll with things. It would probably be easier to give basic missions at first and drop story hints now and again as the adventures go on (like most of the games as I remember) which can give you time to develop plots and so on!

On the other hand, it only seems to be the three of us currently active. So you may not even need to 'GM' the roleplay if you wish as much as just try to have all three of us collaborate on it. Although, that's up to you since it would give up a bit more control narrative wise.. since we would bring in our own narrative pieces now and again.

Yeah, I will give you guys some quests to complete and you two can do your own thing in them for a little while if it's something like find an item. If it includes outlaws, then unless someone else wants to play an outlaw, I will do that. For a while dungeons wont have weathers, like it takes a while for it to come up in the games, but I will say what pokemon type it specializes and what pokemon can be found there. Maybe I'll also say what items can be found on each floor, but as long as people don't go overboard with them, I'm fine. I'm still working out the odd detail but I will get the main rp thread up soon enough

As I said, I'm still working on sprites, nearly finished gen 1, so of course not too much will be said until I have done at least 1 and 2 (I've done all starters and legendaries up to gen 5 just as a backup) The only major reveal of the plot is the guild master right now

But, yeah, if either of you two wish to add things to the rp then I am completely fine with it as long as it doesn't go too far from what the main plot is. I'll add the link to the character thread to my first post to make it easier to find

Miniapollo17 Lost MissSoulfulPoetKat Hello there~! The basic character outline takes around 15-30 minutes, if you already know which pokemon you want to be. Go ahead and make a character sheet here.
I'd recommend having a personality and background in mind, if not written down already. Although if you enjoy developing that along the way so far that doesn't seem an issue.
