Pokemon: Gallade
Type: Fighting/Psychic
Move set:
Ability: Justified. The only time he loses his cool is around Dark-types, although it is a feeling that he has been able to overcome in the past.
Weapon(s), equipment: Two rapiers, fastened about his waist by criss-crossing belts. Also carries a pocket-watch, an heirloom from his grandfather.
Bio: Grew up in a large family as the oldest of three, with two younger sisters and his parents, who were competitive battlers. His trainers were quite wealthy before their disappearance, and his father now works in the medical field; though he was not spoiled as a youth, he was rather sheltered. He now wishes to see more of the world, and is very optimistic about his upcoming schooling, though it's usually hard to read from his mask-like visage. A dark patch of his past has led to his ability shifting to Justified... so yes, I mean dark patch literally.
*Note: though I'm not going to assign a named location to his upbringing, he would speak with a slight "French" (or equivalent) accent.
Personality: A listener first and a man of action second, Athos prefers to stay several steps ahead of the rest, often taking the role of the wallflower in order to better understand his surroundings. However, while he can sometimes come across as aloof, he is a very amicable person once you get to know him, and one of his self-described faults is that "Sometimes, I trust people a little too easily". Growing up in a well-off family has left him a bit naive about the world at large, and so he is incredibly curious and open to learning what others like to do in their spare time. His favorite subjects in school are mathematics and history, and he is an avid reader and chess-player.
One of the skills in which Athos takes the most pride is dueling. Capitalizing on his natural abilities, he has been trained for most of his life in various styles of swordsmanship, and he relies heavily on speed and accuracy to pick apart an opponent's defenses. While he can get quite cocky while in a fight (note the gleam in his eyes in the image above), he doesn't like to talk about fighting outside of the ring. Still able to take defeat honorably, but he is very hard on himself.
Mega: Judging from Mega Gallade's art, perhaps a cape and some extra armor, like gauntlets or something of the sort? I haven't decided.
Crush: No one yet, but he definitely isn't the flirtatious type.

- French is his first language, but he is also fluent in English and Italian.
- Athos is 6'2", not counting his ponytail, which is usually up.
- Has over a dozen near-identical ties for various occasions, though he's the only person who can tell the "difference"...
- Athos is left-handed for writing, but his right is his stronger arm.
- He's never so much as kissed a girl, but sshh, don't tell anyone!
- He follows principles of Taoism and similar Eastern philosophies.
- Athos has a scar running from the outside edge of his left collarbone to the lower, opposite corner of his chest. He never says what it's from.
