Coming to the end of a route, a young male found himself at the mouth of the Viridian forest. His brows raised at the cave-like shadows cast by the overlapping branches of the forest trees. Going alone would seem intimidating to anyone who hasn't been in the forest before, but Silas was not one of those many.

He stepped on in, set on venturing into the tall grassy areas for an encounter with a
certain Pokemon. His luck proved poor as only Ratatas and Caterpies met his path, all which proved tasty exp morsels for his own Pokemon. When a rustle in the nearby bushes caught his attention, he turned, Pokeball in hand at the sound. Instead of Pokemon, he found something else entirely - another trainer.

Aira had been training her Pokemon, hoping to level them up before proceeding to the next city. She didn't plan to catch anymore pokemon as she was contented with her team. She had defeated Brock and managed to get her first badge, thus managing to level up her pokemon.

She walked around the tall grass, wanting to level up her Pokemon some more when she came face to face with another trainer. She stopped on her tracks, causing Dratini, who was following her around to bump on her legs. She gave him a wave and a smile "Hello! Pleasure meeting you out here" she said as Dratini wagged her tail, offering her greetings

Silas blinked at the sight of the female before him. He had half expected her to be accompanied by someone else, but seeing as there was no one, he kept his surprise to himself. His eyes glanced briefly at the Dratini at her feet. It wouldn't take a half-wit to know that they weren't common in this part of the region; the trainer must have gotten the rare Pokemon elsewhere. The fact that the trainer had her Pokemon out for the world to see perplexed him; was she trying to show off or tempt thieving trainers? Silas couldn't decide which was dumber.

He made a small nod with his chin in greeting, hardly trying to match her level of enthusiasm. His hand lowered and his Pokeball was shoved into his pockets along with that hand. "You're a trainer," Silas said, stating the obvious on purpose; he noticed most beginning trainers like to brag on such a petty status and would often go on about their Pokemon if given the chance. Silas was definitely not someone who had that kind of time. "Up for a battle?" He asked, lips quirking into a small smirk.

Her eyes lightened up at the boy's proposal

"I'd love to" she said happily. This way she could level up her Pokemon more successfully. She didn't care about the prize money, she just wanted her pokemon to have experience points. Dratini looked up at Aira, her eyes suggesting that she wanted to fight herself

"Dratini you're up!" She called out and the dragon pokemon slithered to the front and looked at the boy with its round blue eyes. She stood there, waiting for whatever the boy decides to do next, her eyes looking at him expectantly. She had been craving a Pokemon fight ever since and she was happy that she finally found it

Pokemon trainers almost never refused a battle and the high possibility of accepting his offer was taken into account. Type-wise, fire and water attacks would prove useless in taking down a Dragon-type Pokemon and yet despite this, Silas still wanted the challenge.

"Asrial," He called, producing a Pokeball from his pocket. Under normal circumstances, he would've chosen his Vulpix first given the fact that his Vulpix was less... difficult to manage than his Psyduck. However, the matches with wild Pokemon in the Viridian forest had wear down his duck-like Pokemon, bringing its headache close to a spinning max. If Silas was lucky, Asrial's headache may just get worse enough for him to use a Psychic move. "Scratch," he commanded, watching as the troubled Pokemon rush forward to deliver the blow commanded.
