Fandom Pokemon Journeys (2024): Kanto/Johto Sign-Ups [Open]

Please add the (Not yet caught) tag to each Pokemon you've not yet caught individually.
I did now, sorry I completely missed that part.

So Forgot to bring this up in the other one. But the Ghost Tower has been a Radio Tower for at least 2 years before the RP starts.
Alright, then I assume when Davis and Mavis were around 14 or 13 they would have started construction?

Name
Mavis Lockheart

Age
17

Gender
Female

Competition Type
Traveler
- Mavis isn't much of a competitor, and is more so on a mission to find their twin. However, they're not opposed in trying their hand on gym battles or Coordination contests as they might find themselves with a dream of their own.

Personality
Mavis is a quiet person, yet she's friendly when interacted with or when she approaches others. She's always one to play by the rules unless it regards her friends or her twin brother. She can be quite mysterious as she's not the type to give out personal details of her volition unless asked. She would much rather learn as much as she can about the person over herself since she finds herself to be jaded with zero ambition as a trainer. Despite her lack in dreams, she is compassionate with toward all Pokemon and has a keen eye for them too. She loves to deal in Pokemon whether it's healing, raising, or maintaining them. The same can be said with people as she can be charming in her own right.

Backstory
Mavis was born and raised on a farm on the outskirts of Lavender Town, the famous town known for it's Pokemon Tower. A tower consisting of departed, beloved Pokemon. It's always a shock for someone to learn a person is from Lavender Town because of the rumors regarding the hauntings of ghost Pokemon. Little do people know, the residents live in harmony with the ghost Pokemon. That also includes Mavis and her twin brother, Davis. They would always play with a bunch of Ghastly, Gengar and Haunter causing a bit of mischief against the town. Mavis, however would never go too far with pranks whereas her twin was the complete opposite. Both children would eventually get caught and disciplined for their actions, but it was clear they wouldn't be bored of pranks anytime soon to their parent's dismay.

Growing up on the farm meant carrying responsibilities by maintaining their Pokemon, and growing crops to sell. This is where Mavis shined the most. It was her favorite part of her day. Learning to bandage, and identify when a Pokemon gets sick is an accomplishing skill earned. It was better than battling, in her opinion. She was never really good with being a strategist, but her twin brother ruled in that department. It seemed whatever Mavis was good at, Davis struggled, and vise-versa. It was a good thing, for it helped split the chores in order to finish fast and enjoy the rest of the afternoon playing with the ghosts who enjoyed their company. In turn, the twin's personalities were shaped because of them. The twins never feared the unknown, were always patient and waiting for the right moment to execute their pranks. While it's fun to cause pranks, the twin's idea of fun were completely different. Mavis considered harmless pranks as fun, while Davis found it much more entertaining to cause actual harm on a person, including Pokemon. Often the two would butt heads about it. Mavis disliked the change in her brother growing up. It's as if he had been possessed, but she would notice if a Pokemon had done that. She missed his sweet nature instead of his cruel demeanor, and she couldn't understand why.

One day, Mavis woke up. Her brother's room empty except for a letter on his desk. She opened it and feared the worst. It was a farewell letter regarding his reason for leaving the farm to find a new way of life than be stuck on the farm. Two months later, the loss of their brother was lonely considering all of their lives, Davis and Mavis were together. It's weird to be separated, even more so leaving without confiding in her. For the longest, Mavis felt something was terribly wrong, and she would read the letter over, and over when she noticed the a familiar 'R' in red in the bottom left corner. Mavis quickly sat up wondering why it seemed recognizable. Sitting around moping wasn't going to work, and if her brother is indeed in trouble, she would of course try to rescue him. The next day, Mavis made a stand against her parents who were opposed of her leaving too. Her reason to find her brother fueled her to go on a journey. Her father, convinced Mavis' mother as it was a valid reason for Mavis to travel. Mavis's mother reluctantly accepted, and asked for Mavis to do one last job, to catch a Pokemon. Mavis had someone in mind. Someone they were close to. Her parents gifted her a Pokeball to catch the mystery Pokemon. Her chosen partner was a Ghastly she grew up with.

Davis Lockheart

Name
Davis Lockheart

Age
17

Gender
Male

Competition Type
Team Rocket Member

Personality
Davis is known to be a delinquent with a charismatic disposition. He loves to pull pranks, and sometimes takes them a little too far. He finds a thrill in making others suffer considering everyone that is not him is gravel. He's got a bit of an ego who claims himself to be the strongest. He proves it on the battlefield as he has yet to be defeated. Despite his cruel demeanor, he sometimes has a soft for the injured. He uses his facade that he's bored of toying with a Pokemon as a means to justify why he shows mercy on them. It's a rare encounter, and it shows the old him still remains. He loves to brag about himself when he gets the chance which can be his downfall.

Backstory
Davis was born and raised on a farm in the outskirts of Lavender Town alongside his twin sister, Mavis. As a child, Davis, and Mavis would spend their time in Lavender town, hanging with a bunch of ghost Pokemon. Due to the tower and it's allure to the ghosts that reside there. They would pull harmless pranks on the residents as a past time which would cause trouble for their parents. They would inevitably be caught, and disciplined for their misdeeds, but it wasn't going to stop the twins from having fun. The bond the twins have with the ghost Pokemon shaped their personalities. The unknown was no longer scary to the children as they've learned to have fun thanks to them.

As Davis grew, he gained responsibilities to the farm which he was delighted at first to please his parents. There was never a dull moment in which he would ever oppose them. Afterwards, he would spend time with the ghost Pokemon as a reward. However, things began to change the moment he noticed kids were leaving Lavender Town to go on an adventure. Being at a curious age, Davis questioned if he could too. He was ten, and capable of becoming a trainer. He would be able to learn more about battling, and explore other regions in the process. Sure, it will be sad to leave the farm, but adventure waits for no one. On the first chance, Davis asked his parents if he could become a trainer. His eyes held sparkles of hope, and as disheartening as it was to break the boy's dreams, his parents rejected. Davis was perplexed. He had done everything they asked of him, but they refused. His parents explained he needed to prove he could take care of himself without causing trouble. It's hard to trust him when his favorite activity is to prank people, and the fact that they needed all hands on deck on the farm for the harvest. Rather than Davis agree, he asked what was wrong with tricks when it's about having fun. He didn't wait for a response. He marched into his room to sulk for the rest of the night.

It was unfair how his parents rejected his request as well as refused to see the art of pranks. Mavis was not on his side, but did sympathize. She had mentioned how he can be rough. This was mainly due to Davis not having any friends especially when the majority of the kids his age were gone. He was the only boy with a dream being neglected. As if that wasn't bad enough, Lavender town had to deal with a new Radio Tower replacing the gravestones for entertainment purposes. Of course Mavis and Davis were not happy with the new change. They felt exactly the same as the residents. All of the ghosts were being chased away from their homes, and every beloved's gravestone taken away. Out of anger, Davis tried to interrupt construction by sabotaging their work, and if that didn't work, he would try to start a physical fight. The workers would easily push him aside and laugh at his weak attempt. It was humiliating how he could do nothing. Not even his parents cared to protest. They've accepted it's a change that was going to stay whether they liked it or not. Davis disapproved. How could his parents turn their back on the town so easily like it's not going to effect them? It felt like the world was going insane, and accepted their fates. Why was he the only one fighting?

The humiliating laughter echoed through his head for days. His friends, the ghosts, his dreams all felt like it was withering away. Angry and alone, Davis began to learn to battle. He would use Tauros to smash boulders, and use him in battle against an traveler that came along. He would fail, but quickly bounce back learning the ways of what it's like to be a trainer. He caught on creating an unbroken streak. His desire for power grew, and his potential could be seen whenever he was on a battlefield. One restless night, Davis took a stroll through the farm and found some people breaking into their land. He wasn't sure what their attempts were, but Davis made sure to punish them. Once he defeated two of the men, they complimented Davis' talent would be a great asset to their group. Davis was confused, and skeptical, yet intrigued. He asked what their group entailed. It was a way of life, a purpose in which Davis can help make change. Davis did not give a second thought. He was tired of where he stood, and what he is offered would worth leaving. He accepted to join and help them locate whatever it was they were searching for. He wrote a quick letter, packed his things and said his internal good byes without looking back. The town in which kept him hostage.

Group: Team Rocket

Name: Cassius

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Appearance:
1716313309914.png
1000011695.png

Competition Type: Team Rocket (Taking the Gym challenge)

Backstory: Cassius was made aware that the world isn't fair. From the age of fourteen with his first Pokémon Houndour to now at the age of 18 with a team of 4, three Pokémon in which he gathered over the past four years either as rewards for doing the jobs he was assigned or by catching them himself.

Cassius wasn't dealt the best hand he had left on his journey far later than most due to his family not being capable of getting a Pokémon in the little town he came from until certain criteria being met. Namely passing a test his parents insisted he pass with full marks. He got Houndour or Ruby as he calls her after four years of waiting. Two weeks into his journey he recieved word that his home burned to the ground and his family was just gone.

It was about a month or so later he stumbled upon a subtle shack in the woods. Thinking he could stay the night if he asked, he knocked. Imagine his surprise when someone wearing a Team Rocket uniform opened the door saying, "Ah, I guess you're here for recruitment? Come on in and I'll get you settled. Keep in mind now that you're here there is no backing out." The guy seemed friendly and welcoming even if he could tell it was a veiled threat. Cassius spooked out of his wits, just followed along. He didnt wanna piss off the guy by telling him he was wrong. Of course he heard the stories about Team Rocket, they were theives, Pokémon abusers, and in worse cases murderers. His raging thoughts about the subject were put to rest upon meeting Arianna. They were pleased when he entered the basement room with the other six people who were interested in joining. What she'd offered was interesting. Rare and powerful Pokémon, transportation, room and board, money, and training. They wanted to have Team Rocket rise back into the huge organization it was before, but operate much more carefully.

Interested in figuring out Team Rocket he stayed and when he was evaluated by the
admin he was given two options, Spy program or Recon Program. He heard the specifics of each program but the one that spoke to him was the Recon Program. He would travel, locate and report Points of Interest, and most importantly attempt to get into a point of power like gym leader, Elite Four, Champion, or even gain popularity through contests. Basically become the eyes and ears of Team Rocket in the region by keeping their eyes on the people and Pokémon. It had the least risk from how Cassius understood and he took it. And after two years of training and prep he was sent out. He proved to be successful, even if he didn't exactly fit the mold of the typical Rocket. He became important, and was given an Eevee after a few months of reporting locations of rare Pokémon, locations people of interest, and catching a few Pokémon and giving them to Team Rocket. He's repeated the process until now, obtaining orders to participate in the gym challenge. Something big was going to happen soon, Cassius could feel it.
