Multiple Settings Plumbers: A multiverse fixer RP

When it was time for a mission Sanford and Molly couldn't wait, too eager to let their own talents rot away from inactive duty. They went to their assigned group, observing the briefing. Nazi Germany, oh boy, his ancestor took part in that war. And it wasn't pretty, Sanford thought. And these Uber supersoldiers, no wonder why they're winning. In the end, Sanford raised his hand up wondering if his counterpart can prove useful. Molly turned to Sanford, following him by raising her hand up. She believed that knowing what her options were will benefit how the group will succeed.

"Perhaps my counterpart can be helpful." Molly stated with her hand raised.

"Well Ted." Checkers looked at the results "Your counterpart is a big computer that runs on punch cards, weighs several tons and has 1/1000 of your current processing power. Inside the base used for calculations I assume."

"Sanford's is luckier than mine." Prax looked at Sanford "He's my counterpart's boss in the sawmill. Molly on the other hand." He quickly shifted his attention to the android "Your counterpart is inside the base as a scientist working on a separate project not connected to the next Über formula, but in the same building."

Slerk had no idea what was going on at the moment. The big man the nice lady talked to earlier was speaking about something and every was in on it apparently. Then an image appeared on screen, with weird symbols showing different things for different people. Slerk thought for a moment before coming to a conclusion that this was a game. He wanted to play! So he excitedly began to bounce on Elaine's lap and wave his hands up with an awkward face expression somewhat resembling a big grin towards whoever would pay attention to him.

"A farmhand's boss eh? No cigar then. Looks like I have to do it." Sanford slouched while he turned to Molly who seemed glad to know her counterpart was a scientist. That's all she needed to know really. She preferred to get to know her teammates first than go behind enemy lines. She didn't really work that way. Her job back in SECOM was combat medic duty at the Bureau, patching up wounded agents and saving lives. "I think it'll be beneficial if I work close to the group than out there. Especially with my medical equipment." Molly pointed out politely, waiting for the others to check their results.

Teksis studied the process, as Prax revealed they would be controlling a constant. He was delighted at this prospect, as it reminded him of a Baktu strategic game played by their naval officers.
Stepping forward, he motioned to the holographic table with a grandiose gesture.
"I except you trial, Baron Prax. Reveal to me my marauder pawn." he spoke in a excited tone.

A resistance leader? Interesting. Shazraya nodded towards Prax. "I'll run with my counterpart. With any luck I could get us some additional manpower."

Ted remained silent as he heard what his counterpart was - 1/1000 his processing power? Runs on punch cards?! And presumably limited networking?! It sounded dreadful. And while he could still go if only to avoid doing the mission, looking at everyone else, he wasn't sure if anyone would approve... and even if he still did go, they might ask him to just, blow himself up. That could be torturous.

"...I think I'll go as myself," he finally spoke up, his face clearly showing his uncertainty about his counterpart.

"I think our mascot wants to try it too." Checkers remarked on Slerk's excitement. Elaine wasn't too sure if she wanted to let him go in the first place, let alone just letting him run around in someone else's body. Fortunately, it looked like that wasn't going to be the case for him "A puffer fish on the other side of the planet. He's not going anywhere."

"Teksis, your counterpart is a officer in a harbor base about 200 kilometers away. Not going to be of much use to us out there. Best that you stay with us so for the Outsider agent." Prax then nodded to Shaz "Good. The fighting will likely draw attention so additional pressure on the nazis would break them faster."

"I believe that's everyone." Stephen spoke up "The portal you'll be using for missions will be on the top floor. Cama, Shazraya, you two come with me so I can set you up with your counterparts. The rest drop by Santoro and Moira's offices if you think they can get you something you need."

"Just a warning for the portal jump. First time is always the hardest." Prax gave a reassuring smile before getting out of his chair "I'll go brief Barrett while everyone gets ready. See you upstairs."

Slerk looked excited nonetheless about 'winning' the 'game' as he bounced more excitedly and looked at Elaine with his same grin and made a happy squeal.

Just before he follows Stephen, Cama takes a closer look at the holographic projection of his counterpart. Maybe it'd be a good idea to tell the others a secret codeword or a phrase that would identify him to the others. He bangs the table lightly to get the attention of the others in the room to tell them of an idea that just popped in his head, a little trick he and other soldiers of his realm did whenever their radios didn't work and weren't able to properly ID one another.

He points between himself and the hologram repeatedly before making an X-gesture with his arms. He does it again to make sure everyone understands it better.

Him. Hologram. X.

Elisa listened on as everyone got their results. She didn't know what a Nazi was, or what these apparent countries were. All she knew was that it took place on Earth, which was the name of her homeworld. She'll have to read up on what she's going into, and who she may end up killing along the way to the objective.

From the comments she overhears from the team leaders, they must be terrible. The group is dismissed after Cama does his gesturing, assuming that's a codeword that it's him, then everyone heads out to get ready. Elisa stands, and makes her way to the archive section in the room. She tries to use the monitor to try and find out what certain things were in the reality she was going to. A few bits of information were presented, on America, Germany, the Allies... She then reads up on what a Nazi is, her eyes scrolling down the walls of text, with more than a look of disgust on her face.

Tyrants, monsters, devils! The lot of them! She closed the information panel, and sighed. Her country had had its share of tyrants, and nothing disgusted her more than foul beasts disguising themselves as people. Elisa steps out of the mission room, and finds her way to Santoro's office. She needs a weapon, and preferably a different outfit.

Ted looked worried - despite being here for a while, this was going to be his first proper mission... he didn't even know what kind of equipment he could bring with him! He would have to go to Moira and ask her for assistance, with both what she and Santoro can provide him. Sure, he could connect up with other networks still, but how efficient would that be when his counterpart is such an ill-advanced computer?

Ted stepped out of the mission room, and made his way over to where Moira's office was, noting that Elisa was initially heading that way too.

Checkers observed as Cama's behavior around the hologram and his counterpart. She figured out what he was trying to do.

"Comms usually work between us for this, but you can't talk, can you?" He might have been brutish, but he was clearly smarter than his looks let on "Good thinking. We'll can recognize you that way and you don't risk giving yourself away."

Elaine grabbed Slerk from the table. She was still worried about him. Maybe there was something that could be done. As soon as the team picked their counterparts, she carried the little alien to Santoro's office. Inside she found him cleaning his inventory.

"Santoro, I need your help with something." She placed Slerk on the table "Do you have anything to give him any protection? I know I'm asking a lot here, but...Aghh, the Keepers just made our job harder for no reason."

"Calm down, doc. I think I have something just for the little fella" Santoro reassured her. He went somewhere in the back for a minute before coming back with something in hand. It looked heavy, but for Slerk's sake it was worth it. "Now, I had an idea of what would happen if we had some...height challenged members eventually. So I looked into more options. Think he would be fine in this." Santoro placed the miniature power armor next to Slek and it opened up. Elaine tried to coerce him to get in ever so gently. If he was going to go somewhere dangerous, then he should have protection.

While she was busy with that, Santoro turned his attention to Elisa, who just walked in.

"Welcome to the armory, how can I help?" He gave her a friendly smile

Moira stopped working on her project when she saw Ted walk in.

"Hey Teddy!" She said while wiping grime off her face "Hows the toast with the most doing?"

Teddy squinted at Moira for what she had just said, but he decided to get straight to it.

"Questionably," he answered, "I need help figuring out what would make sense for me to bring on my mission, like gadgets or armor or weapons, and, well..." Ted looked away slightly.

"...I thought you could help me..."

"Give me details." Moira said while inviting him to come over to one of her workbenches "Your armor is reinforced with a titanium allow to make you hard to punch through and protect your more sensitive bits. Still, if someone were to start hammering you with a very large blunt instrument, you'd still feel it." She thought for a second. "Actually, if I can put on some parts into your fists, you can pack a real punch!" She looked though one of the drawers to find what she needed. At the same time, some of her spider drones was carrying select tools. "You still haven't told me what the mission is about."

"We're being sent to 1951 Earth, controlled by Nazi Germany, where we have to neutralize an Outsider that tried to disrupt a development in time, that being a team of American alliance commandos infiltrating a base in Norway to steal something that would turn the tide of the war," Ted just repeated what he had heard earlier.

"Admittedly, I don't know what a Nazi Germany, or an American, or a Norway, or even what an Earth is."

"Sounds fun." She remarked as Ted gave her the rundown on what to expect "Sounds like you're going to be fighting a lot of bad guys...Wait, an outside?" She turned around exited "Ted, that's great! Do me a favor will you? Tell the team to try and capture outsider gear if possible. We have limited knowledge of how they work, so anything from them is valuable." The spider drones brought in more material on the workbench and one leaped on her shoulder with a part between it's appendages.

"Ok, hold out your hands." She had something prepared for Ted. Installing it didn't take long and she made sure to disable the sensors before beginning the operation. A little bit of nip and tuck, drill and cut, screw on and done. "Ok, your hands are equipped with shock absorbers. Meaning that if you start punching, they will begin to collect the kinetic energy from the collision. The more you do it, the stronger your punches will be. Eventually you'll need to release it so you wouldn't overload and shortcircut something, so you can create a type of kinetic blast with those." She placed her tool used in the procedure on the bench. "The feeling in your hands should come back soon."

Once brought into the armory, Slerk was quite calm actually as he looked around curiously. The nice lady was talking to someone else and he brought out something for him. It was just as big as him and he looked at it for a moment. Was it a toy for him to play with? He made a few squeals as he walked towards it, with some help from Elaine, and got into the power suit. As it closed behind him, it became an awfully strange experience for the young slithereen as he had no idea what was going on, but he felt... lighter? The power armor certainly lived up to its name as Slerk attempted to jump and massively overshot the distance, landing on the far side of the armory with an audible thud.

This was fun indeed! And so Slerk began to run around quite quickly through the armory, testing out this toy that he was put into.

Ted watched as she fucked with his hands, looking visibly uncomfortable with the fact that he couldn't feel them anymore. But Moira explained the newly installed shock absorbers, and their ability to create a kinetic blast of sorts. He wondered how that'd manifest itself, as the feeling in his hands returned. As he rubbed his hands, he looked at Moira.

"...I see. Though if I'm going to go around punching people, that'd require me to get up close. That armor is going to come in handy then," Teddy commented, "I'll be sure to mention what you said about capturing Outsider gear if possible. Anything you think I'll need for the mission?"

Santoro motioned to Elaine with a slight nod in Slerk's direction

"Suit has a built in translator. Go get him."

She ran after him in the armory. Of all the ideas, this was the best one? Why did she just go with it?

"Slerk! Stop!"
---
"Take one of the drones with you." She handed one of the spider-drones to Ted "You never know when one will come in handy. Otherwise, you're good to go."

Ted grabbed the spider-drone and placed it somewhere on his person for later use.

"Alright then, ehm... thanks, Moira," he said kinda awkwardly, before turning around and beginning to leave, "I'll update you if we managed to grab anything..."

It was strange hearing the lady and suddenly being able to understand her, but he was having too much fun at the moment. So he kept on running through the armory, knocking over a few small things in the process before jumping onto one of the tables again without much effort and bounced excitedly on it.

Elisa looks to Santoro as the small baby fish seems to jump around in some suit of armor, with Elaine chasing after. Elisa looks confused, but considers this par for the course in this reality. She bows to him, and tries to disregard the commotion happening around her.

"I'm here to see about weapons and armor. I'm...not well versed in fighting. I'm also not exactly sure what you have to give me, but elegance and mobility is my forte. At least, I hope." She says, chuckling as she sees the fish baby jumping around onto tables and other objects. "I can't believe we're bringing him along..." She can't believe they're bringing him along.

She's not worn any sorts of armor other than her royal dresses and outfits of the like, considering such armor for her bodyguards and military instead. She's only ever had training with a pistol too, by personal request, and was never really good with swords.

Santoro thought for a moment on what to offer her. Guns were easy, but armor was a bit tricky. He looked over his inventory list and saw a few armors that might fit the bill.

"Now, Im not sure about elegance." As he said that he motioned for her to follow him a bit deeper inside the armory. Despite its size and inventory, it was well organized. Hard for someone to get lost in it. It didn't take long for him to show her what he had in mind. "As you said, something light. Comes with a personal shield and a few scouting drones you can use."
---
"Okay, good boy. Stay right there." Elaine walked slowly to Slerk "Let me just take you back to uncle Santoro so he can mark that armor as in use"

Elisa looked upon the suit. It was definitely alien in appearance, yet an air of familiarity was felt around it, like some superhero costume in a comic strip she once read. The helmet however, will definitely not fit around her muzzle. She deliberates on the decision, before poking it a few times.

"I'll take it. Do you have any pistols I may borrow?" She turns her head and looks at him, "Preferably something that can shoot bullets." Elaine was still trying to corral the fish. A very humorous endeavor.
