Plagued by a Rose [concluded]

"No, I'm not blaming anybody. I'm asking you what makes you so angry. And the only reason I'm treating you like a child is because you're acting like one." Lance's voice was edging closer to an annoyed growl, but he forced a patient tone again. "I'm trying to ask you to identify a reason why you hate Kuvira, and if there isn't a way to get past it. While your brother should've consulted you before making such a decision, it's also his life. He gets to choose who he loves, Cecile."

Maeve watched as Yaro pulled away from her and donned his armor. As he passed her to the balcony, she patted the head of his dragon gently.

"So? What now, Yaro? Keep in mind that your choices will affect you, too, and not always in the best way. But think.. If you talk with Kuvira, and with the other nobles, there could be such an easier way to solve all of this. I know you want revenge, but one of the greatest philosophers in the world once said that by taking revenge you are only equal to your enemy. By passing it over you are superior." It was a quote she had taken to heart, and was one of the reasons Wyrthriel was so efficient. They never bothered with revenge, only at the job at hand. A loss would be mourned, but they would continue their job as they had all been taught.

"Your choice is still yours.. but I just want you to think very carefully. You've been acting too fast ever since your torture of the admiral. Stop and think for a bit, please."

Cecile cast the king a sad and guilty stare, but remained fixated on him as he spoke. She carried the saddest expression she could muster as his tone became somewhat agitated with her. Her eyes were wide and appeared a deeper blue than usual. Yes, my brother is in love with the woman he met a few hours ago, thought Cecile. She was itching to say something snappy in response to the prince.

The princess then returned to her feet and crossed her arms. She glanced down slightly as she did but returned her disappointed, blue gaze to his eyes. He was still talking to her like a child, and she would not play into it. Even if Lance was indeed right in his actions Cecile was too prideful to be cooperative. "Fine", was all that she said. It was an unusually passive response for the belligerent female, but she still appeared hurt and unwilling to speak.

It was then that Cecile recognized the faint sound of the portal appearing in the next room. The princess perked slightly and took the opportunity to evade Lance's parenting. "I think it is time to go", she said plainly. She itched absentmindedly at her chest.

Yaro would sigh, as he would look at his home. "My silence is not acceptance. It is the beginning of my revenge...I will plan, I will strategize, and I will find those that betrayed my family: They took my family away from me, I see it only right to return the favor. "Yaro said, as he would look around at the halls. "This building is laden with history....History that these idiotic nobles are keen on erasing. I may be a Noble, but I am also an Adventurer, and an Assassin."He said to her. He would then look towards her.

"
By the way....I never showed you what I found, did I?"Yaro said, as his eyes would turn red, and he put on his joking demeanor again. "If so, I, the great Yaro Azarus, shall be happy to show you my accumulated treasures, both valuable and sentimental." Yaro said. He would then take her hand, and lead her through his home.

Though not poor, Yaro's family was never terribly wealthy (due to the fact that many refused to take bribes to support themselves). Yaro had left to find fame and fortune, and while not terrible famous, it was obvious that Yaro's adventures were very
profitable. There was enough treasure here to spread to the families in the farmlands, and still have enough left over. When Yaro said that he went adventuring to boost his family, he was not joking. This amount of wealth could buy no end of friends and favors.....

Along with no end of protection.

Walking over to a chest, he started looking inside it. Pulling something out, he'd reveal a
Elven Dress. "I found this during my stay with the Dreshden Elven Clan....They made some of the most beautiful attire, completely unlike their tribal appearance. I saw this, and my first thought was 'Even if Maeve doesn't like fancy stuff, this dress calls to her name.' "Yaro said, handing it to her. It would feel strange to the touch: Refined, but homey. Comfortable, yet respectful. This was obviously hand-made, and due to the fact that Normally, Elves did not deal with humans, it only added to the value.

Kuvira couldn't help but bring out a soft smile at Thornton. He seemed in love with her though they had only met hours ago which surprised her nevertheless he didn't seem very sincere in his proposal, maybe he was only time could tell. Her face shifted when she heard yelling and a voodoo doll of her being thrown at her face. She didn't saw a word only lifting it up. She knew Cecile had it however it was still terrifying to see it.

"Its fine. Really..." She said in a hushed tone. Not caring to be apart of their argument any longer. She placed a hand on Thornton's shoulder before thanking him and Thornton. "She's right we should get going starting to feel like our presence isn't welcomed." She said starting to build her confidence back up. "I'm going to get Lenin. Its time he went back home." She said walking out of the room once again.

Thornton stepped forward and gently took the voodoo doll from Kuvira's hands. He was ashamed to see that his sister had participated in the use of such dark magic. His eyes then became filled with worry when Kuvira abruptly mentioned leaving again. "Let me assist you, my queen", he said.

Before leaving he stopped and bowed to the grand master, "we will be honored to have you present for this occasion". He knew that the grand masters would make their appearance in the Rose Kingdom at a later time. There was no celebration prepared yet in the castle after all. He nodded to Lanister who he assumed would be joining the others to the Rose Kingdom.

After he left he stopped next to Cecile and Lance. He felt a slight pang of guilt for hurting Cecile as he had, but he would not go back on his word to marry Kuvira now. "The void gate has been opened. I am accompanying Queen Kuvira to assist with her admiral. The two of you must go ahead of us to the Rose Kingdom with Lanister". Thornton paused and hesitated before turning to Lance. "Keep her out of trouble", he said sternly and continued after Kuvira.

Lance sighed, shaking his head. Apparently, it didn't work on someone like Cecile, childish yet prideful.

"Lets go then. But I want you to think on my answer, and let me know later. Can you please do that?" The fact that the king had said please hopefully gave him some leverage, but he didn't know for sure. "I'm sorry if I hurt you, but we have to get past this. It's a choice that the two have already made, and they are both adults. Well. One of them is." He followed Cecile back into the room with the void gate, watching as Thornton and Kuvira left.

"I'll do my best, but she's quite the handful at times," Lance replied, casting an amused glance at Cecile before leading her through the void gate. He'd never been to the Roselands before, other than Galicia Pass and the palace. It surely would be a different experience.

Maeve didn't argue any longer, and stayed quiet until Yaro revealed the dress. She stared at it for a moment, head tilted, observing the master craft-work as it was handed to her. She ran her hands along the fabric.

"It's beautiful.." She was quiet for another moment before eventually looking up at Yaro again. "I wish I could say I would help you and stand by your side no matter your decision, but I also have a loyalty to Kuvira." Maeve's gaze dropped to the floor, and she looked guilty and sad. "She comes before my own happiness. I'm sorry." She held the dress out to Yaro, as if to return it. She would love to keep it, but it would just feel wrong.

:You're really going to live your life in servitude?:

Don't act like you haven't done the same!
Maeve replied mentally, and Kalamitat simply withdrew further into the woman's consciousness, silent.

Yaro would take her hands, and close them around the dress. On his face, Yaro had a warm smile. "Your loyalty is one of the many endearing qualities about you that I love, Maeve. No matter what, you'd never sacrifice who you are....I can't say I'm as strong, but it is still a quality I respect. "He said, placing a hand on her face. He saw her eyes, and he felt something stir in him. It was a deep affection that he hadn't felt for anyone in the longest. He knew this was, likely, the last time the two would see each other for awhile, so his inner voices were arguing.

I can't do this, I can't!

Yes you can dammit, who knows when we will have another chance to do this!

But I can't tear her up more than I already have, it isn't right!

Screw what is right, this is for our happiness!

Yaro, listening to his impulses, leaned in. He would then kiss Maeve.
To hell with everything else.

Lanister nodded, as he stayed by Cecile and Lance's side. He felt the king was in irredeemable fool, and this was merely prove his point. He would then look towards Cecile and Lance when they left. "Is what my Grandmaster asked so unreasonable now?....You're needed, Cecile. If you don't act, They'll win. "He said, walking to help them get to the palace.

"Who said we were releasing him?"A voice said, before the figure would appear. It was Clementina. She was dressed in her usual garb, and did not look too happy. "He is a prisoner of war, and more importantly, he is OUR prisoner. We told you Kuvira, no 'warned' you that, when you attacked the lands, we would hold nothing back......He is to be executed tomorrow."Clementina said, licking her finger blades. They were stained crimson."For the destruction of a village on the outlaying land of the mountains, resulting in the death of more than 200 lives."

Cecile only continued to ignore Lance. However, she could not hide her blushing at Lance's comment to her brother. It was then that Lance wasted no more time and lead her through the void. Luckily, when they came out on the other side they were already close to the palace. The subjects of the Rose Kingdom still did not yet know the girl was alive, and it could be problematic for her to be seen. Cecile groaned and complained about the foul odor of the sewer systems as Lanister took the lead in getting them out. He knew the way around well, and it wasn't long at all before they exited the sewer and arrived at the castle.

There were only knights of the Emerald Thorns guarding the exterior of the castle, and knowing well about Thornton's reaction to their last encounter, the knights did not hesitate to allow their entry. It was strange to Cecile how empty the castle was. She had never really been there without the king or her brother. Nevertheless, she lead the way through the castle. Truthfully, she was pleased about their absences because she could decompress with no one breathing down her neck. She wanted a change of clothes and sleep more than anything else, but there were guests for her to attend to.

Because of the absence of a royal family, the castle was almost empty of servants as well. Many of them had gone home in lieu of the battles and those who chose to stay were not exactly busied as there was a lack of work needing to be done. Cecile lead the way through the castle. She was unsure of how to make herself at home there. It was weird being there; she didn't feel like she belonged.

At last they arrived in a strange courtyard. The courtyard was warm and beautifully covered in various rose bushes. The rose fairy gardens had been put in place many years ago, and there were tiny sprites thriving in it. It was the sprites who kept the garden warm and maintained year round. However, humans could not ordinarily see them. There was a large pond and other flowering foliage scattered throughout. The entire area produced a sweet, floral aroma. It was a peaceful place, and a perfect safe haven for the tiny sprites.

Cecile plopped down into the grass and stretched herself out. The area was surprisingly used as a training ground. The sprites would busily repair any damage to the plants or layout to the garden. The princess then kept to herself and relaxed, deciding Lanister and Lance could do as they pleased.

Kuvira kept walking only stopping to realize she was being followed by King Thornton. "You know you don't have to do this. Acting this way." She said continuing on. " I don't expect you to love me so suddenly especially since I was a threat to your kingdom not too long ago. We don't have to pretend to love each other, but we should start liking each other, at least." She had never really seen love as something of a good thing. More of a weakness. She saw the way her parents fell out of love. Had her heart open, only to have it drenched in blood. "I trust you though and that is a far better compliment. We are royals. We have the power to do terrible things. Without trust, we're nothing."

She made it to the infirmary to find the admiral going back to his natural color. He was sitting up drinking wine, his face well shaven, almost as if his torture hasn't happened. He got up in the site of the two monarchs and bowed.
"Your highnesses."

Kuvira heard a sound from behind her before turning to face the woman.
"I had a war with the rose kingdom and it is over. There is no reason for an execution nor will I stand for it. What do you want money to pay for you village? you can have it at dawn. Gold pieces that will last you decades straight from Yunkai, but I will not stand for an unnecessary death for an admiral simply taking orders. " she announced, she turned towards Lenin. "I promise that you will go back to Yunkai and I will not break it."

Lanister would seat himself near Cecile, staring around at the garden around them. "It is a beautiful place......But it feels like a cage. A gilded cage. "Lanister said, running his hand over one of the flowers. "I know how you feel Cecile.....You didn't know this, but I'm technically expected to be a Grand-Master. "He said, scotching himself away slightly, to avoid suffocating Cecile. "I am a Descendant of one of the grand-masters that founded our order. I am expected to take his place....and honestly, I don't want too....I am not a leader, I am a soldier.....But you know why I will? Because people need me too....It is my duty, and I'd fulfill it to the letter....and because of my actions, people will survive, and children will live to have children of their own.....Because of what I do, I will save lives. You'd do the same, Cecile. "Lanister said, standing up. "I won't bother you any longer....I just ask you give it some thought......This place, it doesn't suit you. A Queen, especially a rightful one, should be on her own throne."

Clementina would simply laugh. "You are a piece of work aren't you? Even if I said yes, I cannot tell you so. This man is under the jurisdiction of one of my subsidiaries. He's the one that shall decide whether the man lives or dies. You already know him: His name is Lanister Xhast. "Clementina said, before signalling for the man to be shackled. "But.....a gesture of good faith, so that an 'accident' won't happen to him here: he can return to the Rose Kingdom with you, and face judgement there. Whatever happens after that, is for My Successor to decide."She said, revealing that Lanister was to succeed Clementina, though it was unclear why.

This is foolishness you are still in command! I will not go to the rose kingdom to try to persuade him when there is a ruler right before my eyes! She said. Lenin tried to intervine stating that he has served his time and his life isn't worth the fight. "I treat my people as if they were my children and a mother never abandons her own. You will be in Yunkai by the first light. I will not be seen as someone who can be easily swayed." She turned to Clemintia "Very well." She left, not saying another word. She knew this was just a way to waste her time but it didn't matter. Lenin will be freed no matter the obstacle.

Thornton could see that the grand master's response would be upsetting to his queen, and so he remained after she left. He stepped defiantly forward, closer to Clementina. "I am king of the Roselands and the admiral will be freed at once. A political execution is well out of the bounds of the Wilting Rose", he said. "Kuvira will be your queen soon, and I expect only the highest respect to her power". With that, Thornton followed after Kuvira.

They were heading back to the courthouse where the void was waiting for them. "My queen, I promise no harm will be done to your admiral", he said in an attempt to comfort her as he caught up to her side.

Clementina's wrist blade would shoot out, and reach for Thornton's neck, stopping just an inch away. "She is not our Queen, you are not our king. We serve the Lands of the Rose, NOT YOU! "She hissed, placing the blade back in her wrist. "He will face Judgement, though the one doing the judging is who you should be arguing this too, not me. I can command him, but this isn't about an order. These are the laws we followed when we first seceded from Rose Control. Every person that caused the death of a civilian will be punished. IF you wish to challenge this, then you'd need to speak to Lanister. "Clemetina said, cracking her neck. "One last thing, Thornton: I only respect those, that earn it."

Ysmena would open the void-gate for them, and follow after them. "Don't take offense to Clemetina. She's lived through your fathers rule, and has suffered worse than most. She has a particular hatred towards your line. Though what she said however is true. These lands belong to us."Ysmena said, as they'd return to the palace. She'd then look around, though how she did so when she was blind was odd. "He is in the garden's, watching over your sister."She said to Thornton and Kuvira.

Thornton gave Kuvira a determined stare. He knew from that conversation that the first agenda for he and his queen would have to be the overthrow of the Wilting Rose. He said nothing, however; knowing that there were spies among him. He would have to discuss this with his queen later in private. The group made it to the void and Thornton bowed and gestured for Kuvira to go first, "after you", he said politely. He stepped through shortly after her.

(OOC: Sorry, skipping the sewer because im lazy)

When at last the group arrived at the castle Thornton knew right where to go. He lead the group straight to the gardens, where he knew he would find Lanister. He paused for a moment at the entryway to let Kuvira take in the breathtaking fairy garden.

Cecile shifted away from Lanister after listening to his words. She could not find the motivation within herself to desire pursuing the throne; the only motivation she had was keeping the throne from Kuvira. The Wilting Rose was putting such pressure on her about this, but Cecile lacked the confidence in herself to believe she could be queen. She especially saw her chances as dismal considering her mystery curse.

Thornton scanned the garden and once he located Cecile and Lanister he approached him directly. "Release the admiral", was all that he said to him.

Lanister would merely rub Cecile's shoulder. "Lance will be here for you, I will be here for you, and we'll both do all we can to help you.....We believe in you, Cecile. "Lanister said, smiling. He wanted to show her that he had faith in her action, and that, through training, she'd make a superb ruler, but Lanister was at a loss on how to encourage her. "But I won't force you to do this. This is your path to take. Just know that we'll be right behind you. "Lanister said.

When Thornton approached, Lanister was merely looking at his book. He'd look up towards the male, and seemed bemused that the male would tell him to release the admiral. His face, however, would soon change. "You're serious aren't you?.....~sigh~ Let me put this in words you'll understand Thornton."Lanister said, closing the book. He then started counting his fingers.

"Serana Evens, 5 years old. Thomas Evens, 5 years old. Georgina Clear-water, 4 years old. Jason Rassjack, 3 years old. Cordatus Rassjack, 1 year old. Simon Lazarus, 9 months old. Kreia Yuwer, 2 years old. Kayla Jaeash, 6 years old. Nathan Jaeash, 1 year old. "Lanister said, naming them off on his fingers. "-and about 76 more children after that, not including adults, killed by the forces under that man's control. You're asking me to release someone that had no qualms about killing children?......No, I will not. By dawn tomorrow, he will die. "Lanister said. He would not tolerate someone 'killing' an innocent child. It was sick, and inhumane.

She was surprised to see Thornton stand up for her like that. Maybe there was more to being married than she thought. The scenery was beautiful filled with roses and the sprites seemed to be dancing over the petals. A breath taking view but she didn't take time to cherished it.

When lannister started to name children she became furious. She wasn't going to tolerate disrespect any longer." yes of course that's how war works but what about the demons you release not even thinking of the consequences? not even letting your own troops going into battle. Petty as you are! But coming from you, you are the innocent ones! Hiding in the darkness like roaches! May I ask where those demons are? Did you retrieve them or did you leave them running about?" She exclaimed "You may have been a big shot in Valpurnia but look where you are! You're nothing here! You have no power! My admiral will not take his final breath tomorrow." She turned towards Thronton "Thornton do you mind showing me around the castle? I think I need to rest. Lenin come with me." She said keeping him close to her.

Lance felt strange at the absence of so many people, and while understandable, it still made him extremely uncomfortable. The back of his neck prickled, like it always did when the king's 'sixth sense' started to hint at trouble. Doing his best to ignore the feeling, Lance marked a map of the castle into his mind as he walked.

As they reached the courtyard, Lance took in the scenery with a sigh of relief, feeling much more comfortable in the open. He made to sit next to Cecile, but took to wandering off instead, following the garden paths. The only bad part about it was that tiny little dots kept dancing about in his vision, and he felt too warm. It was irritating, to say the least... Was that a tiny human? With wings? Shaking his head, Lance did his best to ignore it, but it was harder said than done.

Eventually, Lance returned to Cecile and Lanister, only to see Kuvira yelling at the assassin before changing the subject to Thornton showing her around. Sprawling onto the grass besides Cecile, Lance shut his eyes, trying to quell his returning headache. It seemed any large amount of magic didn't bode well with the king.

"So.. Whatever they are. Sprites? The tiny humans are annoying," he muttered, hoping maybe he could learn a bit about this place from Cecile.

Maeve looked up at Yaro, saw his smile, and returned the gesture.

:Ohohoh, so he does have guts,: Kalamitat remarked, almost inaudibly, with amusement. Maeve shoved the demon to the back of her mind, and froze for a moment, watching as Yaro leaned in. She knew her mind was kicking into overdrive; it always did when she had any chance at a relationship or romance. Kalamitat, deciding to be helpful for once, completely blanked out Maeve's worries, and politely turned her mental view away as Maeve copied Yaro's movements, her lips meeting his in the middle as her eyes slid shut.

It only lasted a moment, as Maeve pulled away looking flushed and a more than a tad anxious. A million worries were running through her mind, although the fact that kissing someone when you host a demon is kind of awkward, even when said demon ignores the scene, shoved it all aside; albeit not as easily as the fact that Yaro had just, well, kissed her.

Sheepishly smiling at Yaro, Maeve ran a hand through her hair in a subconscious show of her uneasiness. She'd been okay at social contact, but this sort of thing was still strange to her, mostly because she did her best not to let it happen.

"That was.. nice.." she murmured to herself, staring at the floor.

Lanister would raise an eyebrow at Kuvira, before a smile would toy on his lips. "Oh, I know I have no power here. It's why we hide in the shadows. We do the things that nobody else has the stomach too. I never lied to you about what I am, or who I am: I am an Assassin. I'm a killer. I kill people because I get paid too. But I never said I didn't have the right to feel. Everything I do, I do it for the roselands. We were too late to save the village, but that didn't mean we were going to spare your forces. We captured their leader, and slaughtered the rest, like the Yunkanian dogs you are. Don't try to make it seem like I didn't give you a way out. I offered you peace, and you threw it in my face. "Lanister said, before opening his book again, seemingly unfazed by her calling him nothing.

"Trust me, I'd rather be nothing more than a killer, than be what people would call a leader, and be a tyrant. Don't try to make it seem you're any better than me, Blueblood- "Lanister used the derogatory term for a noble. " You're a killer like me, just a different title. I'm almost sure Yaro would agree...."Lanister said, before sighing.

"I'll tell you what though......I'll try to reach a middle ground with you, for the sake of the fact that I am guest here at the Rose Kingdom as of now, and Thornton is willing to do anything to make you happy. "He said, turning a page. " I'll fargo his execution, and he can keep his pathetic life.....But his status as Admiral, and his military pension, must be 'removed' from him. That is my only offer. I'll just kill him otherwise. "He said, highlighting something in the book.

Yaro simply chuckled at Maeve's comment. "Not to me.....that was incredible. "Yaro said, smiling. He wanted Maeve to stay, there was no doubt in his mind that he did, but he had a job to do....as did she. "I'll take you to the Rose Kingdom....I won't stay long, I have work to keep me busy, but Kuvira is bound to notice your absence by now."Yaro said, kissing her again, before going to activate the void-gate.

Thornton took the queen's hand and smiled, "of course, my lady", he said. "I will prevent this execution no matter what it takes", he assured Kuvira. That was when Lanister began to speak again, this time with an unusual proposition. Thornton waited to see Kuvira's reaction to it.

From the grass Cecile rolled onto her side to face Lance who had finally decided to join her. The garden was one of Cecile's favorite places to visit. The sprites regulated the temperature of the courtyard, and the air was warm and pleasant despite it being winter outside the castle. The atmosphere was calming and Cecile was smiling up to Lance; she appeared amused by his annoyance with the tiny fairies. She giggled at him, "you can only see them because of your... wolfish tendencies", she tried to find a polite way of saying it.

It was true. The sprites were invisible to humans, but sometimes they chose to reveal themselves. However, there were so many tiny sprites buzzing about that it was not difficult for a human to occasionally see them. Cecile had seen them before, but humans would see significantly less sprites than other races. "They're sprites", Cecile said to him. They were fascinating to Cecile. The sprites lived like a colony of ants. If any damage were to be done to the gardens, the sprites gather in swarms using their restorative magic to make repairs and revive any soiled plant life. The colony of sprites was completely independent and self sustaining. They lived in their own little world with no interest in humans.

Cecile elaborated more, "the sprites here take care of the garden. They do all of it themselves", she said. She appeared to be looking around in hopes of seeing a few. "The garden has been used for many years as a training ground for the royal heir and king", she rolled her eyes slightly thinking about it. She had only used the garden for play. Cecile sat up and dug her fingers into the grass, ripping a large section of it from the ground. Almost instantaneously the grass began to regrow right before their eyes. It was easy to see why such a feature would be popular among royalty. It would repair itself following a tough training session.

The princess leaned in closer to Lance with wide eyes, "how many are there, Lance?" She seemed truly interested to know; Lance was the first werewolf to ever visit the garden. In fact, the pixies were somewhat antsy over his unusual aura, although it would likely be impossible for either of them to detect this.

"Wolfish tendencies are a far cry from actually being one, silly," Lance remarked with a small chuckle, sitting up. "Training.. Hm. I'll have to teach you how to defend yourself, sometime, Cecile. We don't want me being captured again, do we? Although, things did seem to turn out for the better in the end." He watched with awe as the grass the Rose princess grew back. He could get a clearer view of the tiny creatures now that they had stopped moving constantly. He gazed into Cecile's eyes for a moment, appreciating the pure blue there, before breaking away to look around and answer Cecile's question.

"Well, where you tore up that grass, there's a lot. They're still, so I can see them well, but.. Too many to county." Focusing too long on the sprites made his eyes hurt, so Lance turned his head to observe the rest of the garden in an attempt to answer Cecile's question better. "Um.. Hm. The other ones are blurry, almost like they're moving just barely at really high speeds. Like a hummingbird's wings." (Artemis Fowl, anyone? xD ) "There's a lot. It's cool that they take care of the place, but the magic everywhere is sort of painful for me now."

Shrugging, Lance flopped back into the grass. "You seem to really like it here. Any fond memories, or is it just comfortable?"

Maeve nodded. "Thank you, Yaro.. Really, it means a lot." The color had begun to fade from her cheeks as she calmed, but as Yaro kissed her a second time it was quick to return. With a small, private smile, Maeve followed him to the void gate.

"Um.. I'd really like to get to spend more time with you, Yaro. Maybe not now, then at some point in the future. I.. Don't want this to be all we get," she said. "It kinda just depends on Kuvira and you and what decisions you two make.. but hopefully things will work out in the end."

Yaro would sigh, as he walked through the void-gate. "No doubt, the people who had my family killed will question Kuvira why I still live, and demand my death. They'll learn right quick I will not die as simply as my family, and what happens when you provoke my wrath. "Yaro said, his eyes turning blue. "I will do what every Lord Paramount has done to their King, or Queen: I will swear my fealty to Kuvira, and I will keep my silence. But you know the old saying: Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer."Yaro said, closing his eyes, as they'd change to purple, in an attempt to calm himself.

Yaro walked through the streets of the Rose Kingdom, his hand with Maeve's. He would then look towards her. "
I don't want this to be a one time thing, Maeve...Though Kuvira must receive her dues for what she has done, that does not mean I want any harm to come to you. If I can, I'll try to avoid harming any of your men or women. I can't spare them if they come within inches of my life, but I can promise I will try."Yaro said, knowing that was the only thing he could give to Maeve as of right now.

Holding Maeve's hand in his, he'd walk behind Kuvira and Thornton. "
K-......Your majesty, Lady Kuvira, we must speak. "Yaro said, his eyes back to their blue color. AveNix was on his back, head on Yaro's shoulder, lightly blowing ice shards from it's snow playfully. In his armor and cloak, Yaro looked like the noble he was. It fit him well. On his cloak was his house mark, and he looked more the part of a Soldier than he did before. "If you wish to do so in front of your.....betrothed, then that is fine."Yaro said.

Kuvira laughed in amusement"Dogs? we're Dragons. that wasn't peace you offered me, you still wanted the war but you just asked me to hold off for 2 years until ou were well prepared. you have the power that people give you not by your own right. ruling is like lying on a bed of weeds ripping them out by the roots, before they strangle you in your sleep and you can't do that without getting your hands a little bloody can you? I accept your offer." she still kept prince Thornton close to her. she heard a sudden phrase from a person she wanted to see the least. she spun on her heel to see a rather stunning and revolting site in her opinion. Maeve in the hands of her enemy's, perfect just what she need less leverage. " and then there's Yaro. shouldn't you be plotting my 'suffering? or perhaps rallying people to go against me?'" she looked towards him not surprised to see the dragon he stole from her. though it wasn't a big issue dragon took about a year or two to fully develop enough time to dispose. "Why don't you do it out here? i'm sure you will tell everything that occurred to Lannister anyways because you are so close so please speak your mind"

Yaro's blue eyes would appear a blank mask, though Maeve would notice his hand visible squeeze tighter. He would then pull the Dragon off his back, and lightly hand it to Maeve. "Keep AveNix for a moment, please...."Yaro asked, before walking until he was in front of Kuvira. Drawing his sword, it looked as if he was about to try to strike her down....But instead, Yaro stabbed it into the ground in front of him. "I am the last legitimate heir of my line....I have the same oath to make as my brother, father, and ancestor before me....I will recite the words that they said since the first. "Yaro said. He would then get down on one knee in front of Kuvira, pressing his hands together. He then closed his eyes.

"
I am Yaro, son of Sotha, son of Isabelle, Descendant of the Mighty Degraff, who was known as the Dragon-Tamer of Cold fury, who many stories and songs are still sung to this day. I am known for my Travels of the wide world, gathering riches and culture from the dwarves in their underground kingdom, to the elves in their shrouded forests. "Yaro recited, making sure he memorized his lines well. "Greater deeds than these I shall gain, garnering fame like grains of gold. In times of peace and war, with my wound-giver in hand, I shall strike against the metal of your enemies, and at the eve of every battle I fight, I shall raise the flag of my Homeland high atop the ground."

Yaro would take a deep breath, before continuing. "
I, Yaro, Make this oath: That I shall be at the forefront of every battle, battling for my Lady and Queen, Kuvira of Yunkai, and when no battle causes for my arm, I shall not forget my Queen's generosity, but instead offer wise counsel as I may. And though I would willingly lay down my life rather than see harm come to my Lady, if a polished or sharpened edge should strike you down, I shall not flee a single step in the field, but rather I will advance in the army of the enemy, slaying as many as I might, to avenge my Queen and Lady of the people. "Yaro said carefully.

"
In the name of the Dragon Gods, May this sword in your hand smite me upon which I lay, May my own edge twist and turn against me should I fail to keep my oath. "Yaro finished his oath, before standing standing, and taking his sword from the ground. "I am the Lord Paramount of my House, House Azarus, and we shall offer you the same service as before....just readily know this, My Queen: Should those that took the life of my Mother, Brother, and Sister make themselves known...."Yaro would open his eyes, his cold blue eyes staring into Kuvira's. "I will not hesitate to strike them down to defend myself."He said, placing his sword back in it's sheath.

This was a BITCH to right, I will tell you that!

Kuvira was stunned, not expecting a man who threatened her to get down on his knees to swear his allegiance. "What you are asking will may cause A revolt against my lineage... I need their support even if that means i lose yours." it was heartbreaking but truthful. nobles were essental more of a favor for a favor. "i promised them an elimation of a lineage they will ask me why i haven't murdered you when i had the chance to them you are troublesome, and i don't need a reminder to watch my back so i don't find a sword punctured in it," she made him raise before continuing on " it's only a matter of time before they want you and your dragon dead. i apologize but i have to refuse your allegiance. this will only bring more only bring more chaos that i can not bare at this moment."

she turned turns admiral lenin with a frown that was brief yet visible. "Admiral Lenin, though you service was worthy. I hereby renounce you as a admiral to the yunkainian navy." she said as she ripped of my badges and pins. yet he stood there unfazed. he knew without this he would be as good as dead and was gracious his queen fought for his life for this long

".....I will not give up my lands to nobles who squabble over it.....But I will not fight you. "Yaro said, exercising restraint. Kuvira could see his eyes were purple. "I know you're doing this because you have too....and I will fight to defend myself....but I will not attack you, for it would give them more than enough reason to strike me down...."Yaro said, his eyes returning red, briefly. For a moment, he looked like old Yaro..."Besides......"Yaro said, his eyes flashing back to their blue color, a dark smile on his face. "If they try to act against me.....it will make hunting them down....so much easier..."Yaro said. He knew he'd be hunted by those that wanted his death, and he welcomed it: It gave him all he needed to find those that murdered his family, and make an example of them.

Yaro was basically doing this to get their names: He was trapping them, forcing them to act.

Yaro would rise from his spot, before looking towards his dragon. "
My dragon is the last chance I have at redemption for my soul....I'll die before I let harm come to AveNix. She deserves better than this...."He said, speaking as if she was talking about a child. The bond between man and beast was obviously strong, given his blood. But it made him all the more a threat. With a Dragon at his back, he had legitimacy that not many had, and since he was the first to reveal it, it gave him support.

Kuvira and Maeve both, Kuvira due to her magical ability and Maeve due to her Demon, would see something strange around Yaro: Two beings standing beside him.
One had a sorrowful look on his face, almost as if to save 'I'm sorry It has to be this way'. The other one glared at Kuvira with fierce hatred, and a cruel aura around him, as if to say 'You will all pay for what you've done.' Though it was already clear to Maeve, Kuvira would now see how fractured Yaro was as a person: He wasn't even one person anymore.

"It's a beautiful day out here......Birds are chirping, and flowers are blooming. "Yaro said, as the fiery fragment mouthed the words. Soon, the icey one began moving. "On days like this, people like them......should be burning in hell..."Yaro said, before turning to walk away. He'd then lean down and kiss Maeve's hand, before taking AveNix. "Farewell. Live well Kuvira......While time remains."He said, before walking away.
