Phase 01. Wake up!

Ralph grinned after he let go, a little bit of shit leaking out of his mouth. He spat it out, onto Ai's incoming boot. Wait a second, what? His shin was a little bit more red and bumpy than it was before, but he wasn't going to give Ai the satisfaction of watching him pull his leg up.


"Nobody has ever hurt me. And for good reason. Expect a lot of people on your ass" Ralph grinned, with a slight twitch in his eye from holding back his pain. "That's if you get outta here alive." And so, two adversaries were standing, face to face. Ralph was glaring a burning hole right between her eyes. An idea. He wondered how many times he would actually be stabbed this time. 4, probably. (You, Kloud?) "Aw, you're so pissed! C'mere." Extending his arms outwards, with his palms open, he reached out to Ai, whom he undoubtedly thought was even more pissed off than he was, but he saw that this had worked in the movies before. Especially after his 80's action and romance movie binge. Some people ask how one is able to watch 72 hours of TV in 2 days. You just need more screens to watch from.
 
Dennis opened an eye to look at the girl briefly before closing it again, "Dennis. Don't thank me yet, it seems things could still easily turn sour by the looks of those two." He picked his head up from the wall and cast a disapproving glance at the two that still seemed to want to incite some sort of fight, however oddly they went about it. Still, no one else had died in the few minutes of everyone being around each other, so it was a start, "Let's move away from this area. I doubt the small girl over there will appreciate seeing her dead brother." And with that he got up off of the wall and made his way to the door with the bloodied room, closing it and then returning. He called out to everyone else, "Lets hold a meeting of sorts downstairs to discuss recent events." Dennis then walked over to one of the elevators and pressed the button, to which the door then slid open and he waited for the others to make their way in.

Ai wiped her boot on the floor and glared at Ralph. She pulled another cigarette out of her pocket, two left. She put it in her mouth and lit it taking a deep inhale.Ai looked down at Ralph's arms that were extended out at her and for some reason this pissed her off. Ai gripped her knife and plunged the blade into Ralph's arm. She did this six times and wiped the blade off on her shirt. "I feel so much better for that" She said and took a drag on her cigarette and blew the smoke at Ralph. "Hmm I like this. Not you but this little thing we have going on here. I expect more fights will be happening" Ai grinned at Ralph and chuckled a little, this was the slightest hint of happiness she had shown since she had been here. "All right, Dennis? was it? Lets do that. We should go down to the lobby" Ai turned her head to look at the elevator.


Naomi heard all of this talk and ran over "I agree we should hold a meeting. It could give us some sort of Idea of whats happening" Naomi said with a bit of sadness to her tone.

After Rin and Dennis's introductions, Dennis mentioned holding a meeting downstairs. "Right," said Rin, "Of course." Dennis is right. She thought. In order to get to the bottom of this, we all need to discuss the murder. Rin shivered at the thought as she went over to the elevators and traveled to the lobby.
 
Not exactly what he was expecting, his anger boiled back up again. Then again, this was ASSHAT MCCUNTMUFFIN that we were talking about. She was not leaving this place alive. Ai walked away. Her first mistake. Ralph wasn't one to walk away with his tail between his legs. He feigned collapsing to the ground, and watched as Ai walked away. He grinned as he got up, and tackled Ai to the ground.


With one arm, since his other arm was currently bleeding, he grabbed her by her scalp, and banged her head to the ground over and over. Over and over again. There wasn't any words to describe his rage, it was the first time he was stabbed in his life. And he wasn't going to stop until her head resembled a cereal bowl. He was planning on using her skull as one after he was done with her.

Yua looked up to see Naomi in front of her, she nodded, "Im fine.. I just needed to remove myself from the situation.." she answered and faked a smile. She was about to ask her a question, before the girl ran off again, Yua sighed, alone again. Eh.. Maybe it's for the best.. she thought and started drumming quietly on the floor and humming the counts of a metronome, and as she went on, she started counting faster and hitting the floor harder.

Ai growled and winced in pain as she was tackled to the floor and Ralph started banging her head off of the floor. She was dizzy from the impact of her head on the floor . Ai fought back and scratched at Ralph's face as she tried to get out of his grip. Ai wasn't one to take being hit and was known outside of this place for being quite vicious when it came to asserting who she was and what she was capable of. Ai took her knife and plunged it into Ralph's arm once again, then again and again, she was desperate for a way out of this and had to rely on her blade to be able to get free of Ralph's grip. "Get the fuck off ass hat!" Ai shouted as she continued to stab Ralph's arm. Ai began to kick him as her vision began to fade, she could only feel the splatter of blood on her face as she stabbed Ralph and with that she went unconcious.


Naomi looked at what was happening and cried out. "Hey, hey! She may be a bit of a bitch but...come on!" Naomi wasn't going to try and seperate them as she wasn't very strong and would most likely end up being flung across the hall. All she could do was watch as Ralph rebounded Ai's head off of the ground repeatedly. she then gasped as Ai wen't limp

Dennis growled in annoyance, letting his emotions slip momentarily. With one fluid movement he stepped in, grabbed Ralph by the throat and flung him across the room, showing off his unsurprising upper body strength due to the years of his training. He then took the knife from the limp Ai and propped her up roughly against a nearby wall, then glancing at the other girls, "Get her in the lift and make sure she's not dead." Dennis then glowered at Ralph with a dark expression, "That's enough, Ralph. We'll take the other elevator." And with that he manhandled the psychopath into the other elevator and pressed the button for them to go down.

Ralph groaned as he tried to stand from his sudden transition from ground to wall. He counted his stabs. 16. 16 fucking holes in his body that had been created today. Or at least he thought it was 16, his vision was getting hazy and his fingers and toes were going numb. He was then hoisted up. Not like he was able to fight back much at all, nor did he want to. His arms, and some of his chest had a constant throbbing pain that felt like his heartbeat. Probably because it was. Though his vision was starting to go black, he fought for consciousness.


He then felt himself stop, and opened his eyes. Well, he tried. There was a large amount of this sticky hard stuff on his face which he could assume to be his own blood. It was everywhere. Oozing out of his perforations, seeping from his face, splattered on his chest. He looked like he was a pedestrian hit by a car, full of kitchen cutlery. "You're fucking welcome Dennis." He spat. "You didn't do shit and look what happened to me. Fucking banged up like I just went to war. And what do I get? No 'thank you' no 'are you okay?' " Now he actually spat blood. "And I know that either me or Ai isn't going to make it out of this alive by the time we're done." He grinned. "Or we're going to fuck." He laughed, laughed and laughed and laughed, then it devolved into coughing. "Let me down I think I can walk."

Dennis shook his head and set him down, pulling out a roll of bandages that he often kept within his clothing. Being a ninja was dangerous work sometimes and first aid was a requirement of his training, "The idea was to stop any fighting, not be a retard and bite someone with a knife." He sighed as he stuck tiny snippets of cloth in each hole he could find before wrapping some gauze around the majority of the stab wounds. Blood slowly began to soak through and he'd need better medical treatment than what he was getting, Dennis was no doctor after all, but it was better than nothing. "You should try to befriend those with power, not kill them. Powerful allies can lead to great reward, or something like that." Perhaps it would just be easier to kill the guy now. It wasn't like anyone was really going to miss him and he was more than enough of a trouble maker to mess up their lives here without getting into bloody fights like he had, not to mention he wasn't particularly tactful. Tapping a knife to his chin in contemplation, he looked down in surprise to see he was already holding a blade in his hand. A sign? Perhaps it was just his autonomous subconscious training kicking in, arming himself whenever necessary. After a little more thought he decided against it. Dennis had never killed a person before and it'd be a waste if his first was both a pity kill and potentially avoidable. Sighing again as the elevator door opened on the ground floor, he picked grabbed Ralph under the should and helped him over to the desk, allowing him to lay down or sit or do whatever on it, then sitting down next to him and waiting for the others.

"Fine. We'll do it your way next time." He said as he was laid down onto a desk. "But now I really want a gobstopper." He began to chuckle, but stopped as he winced in pain. He wiped his face with his more mobile arm. Crusted blood came off his face as he did so, but it was no matter to him. He twisted himself so he could sit up. "You know, I honestly thought you were going to stab me there. And... Considering recent events, thanks. But I still kinda hate that chick. She doesn't feel right." He shrugged. He would have to wait for the oncoming beat down that was the next elevator car. Well, he was prepared as he would ever be.

Dennis shrugged indifferently, "We can do it however you want, so long as no one gets killed." He decided to ignore the part about the gobstopper, as it was unlikely there was any in the building, it was pretty irrelevant to their situation and conversation and Ralph definitely didn't deserve it after what he'd pulled. "Yeah, I had considered it. It'd have saved everyone, including yourself, a lot of pain. I suppose that's not really ethical though. Besides, I would have wasted those bandages I just used on you." One of Dennis' knives slid from his sleeve and into his hand, to which he then began to idly juggle it in one hand, "She certainly didn't make an good impression on you, or in general. One to watch, I guess." He kept juggling the knife until he accidently threw it upwards a little too hard and it stuck in the ceiling. He looked up in mild surprise, "Oh," he glanced back at Ralph lazily, "and try not to talk too much about the dead guy being the little girl's brother. People tend to dislike insensitive dicks that don't know when to shut up." He didn't say it pointedly or with any malice, just as a caution not to piss off the others. Dennis stood up on the desk and retrieved his knife before sitting back down again. "I wonder if anyone has a light..." He wondered in his mind, contemplating using some of his 'calming sacred ninja herbs' that was sometimes used to hone the senses and bring a person into a state of zen. Of course, Dennis wasn't gonna pretend like it was some crazy magic leaves made by ninja masters when in reality it was just weed, but then again he probably shouldn't let anyone know because then they'd want some. Actually, now that he thought about it, that Ai girl was smoking some cigarettes so she probably had a lighter. Maybe she would be gracious to Dennis for helping her out and let him borrow it for a moment. It was worth a try at least.

When Rin rode the lift, she began to think over everything that happened. Okay, Rin thought, so Naomi's brother was m-murdered.... We'll have to discuss who killed him.... She began to sort out her thoughts until the elevator dinged. As Rin stepped out of the elevator and into the lobby, she saw Dennis and Ralph chatting at the desk. What Rin saw was shocking. Ralph was covered in bloody bandages. "Oh my gosh!" Rin yelled as she ran over, "Are you okay?! What happened? Aren't we supposed to be f-figuring this all out, and NOT killing each other?"

Well, this is the first time somebody's ever fawned over me before. Then again, first time I was stabbed in my life. "Long story, you should've seen it. You know how many times I hit her head against the concrete? At least 30 times. At maximum 40. B'yeah, i'm just a bag filled with blood that has a few holes in it." Ralph paused, and propped his hand on his chin to think. Then, he looked back up to Crying Girl #2, No Longer Crying Edition [This edition of Crying Girl #2 has created a load of controversy among the Crying Girl fanbase, but has uplifted some of the general populace, as such a significant figure of sadness has finally uplifted her brand's marketed tears. Maybe a sign of the company's death? Most are unsure, but nonetheless, everyone is happy to see Crying Girl #2 in tip top shape!] "That sounded much better in my head than it sounded. I think... That we're at status quo right now, and figuring things out isn't my job at the moment. But to be fair, she was a douche, and she did start it." He shrugged, and rubbed his left arm, his more stabbed, and slightly less dominant hand. 


Then, he produced a cigarette butt from his pocket. He did keep it in his pocket the entire time, no matter how angry he got. Got up, and started scrawling on a wall. Large curves, and a few dashes. He was very focused on his work. A few straight, symmetrical lines, and a pair of eyes, and gills. Fins, and legs. Perfect.


It was a fish. But not any fish, it was a fish with a pair of human legs and very human like lips. The lips were plump, and the legs were in a crouch, plastered with fish net and ended with a pair of heels. The fish was looking to the viewer, its lips slightly agape, and elbow propped onto its knee, and its "chin" resting on an open palm. There was a reason to why he did this, but whatever he was doing in the first place lost its meaning and devolved to this. No apparent reason why, but he did so anyways.He enjoyed the creativity that came with drawing, but the entire time he was doing so, his left hand was across his torso, resting on his stomach. Luckily for him, he was always a peculiar child, and was ambidextrous. Never got a sick day from breaking either of his arms during school.

Ai began to stir and finally woke up. As she stood up she began to lose balance but still managed to keep on her feet. Ai looked around the lobby at everyone standing around. She shook her head to try and shake the dizziness she was feeling, needless to say she looked like shit and felt like it too. Ai rubbed her head and rummaged through her pockets, the first thing she noticed is that her knife was gone and other than that everything else was still with her. She needed to find her knife so thinking she dropped it she decided to go back to the first floor to find it but after people finished talking. "This place fucking sucks. Why do I have to be stuck here with people like you?" Ai leaned up against a wall on the other side of the lobby away from everybody else "I'm gonna go solo from now on. There's no reason for me to trust any of you" With that Ai looked up at the ceiling and the speakers screeched back in "That was quite a fight! Good job for putting up a good fight Ai! And Ralph, you did a very good job! Although you're full of holes, Ai is a vicious girl!" The speakers cut back out with a screech which played havoc with Ai's head. She covered her ears and sat on the floor, her head buried into her knees.


Naomi looked over at Ai who had woken up, she did feel sorry for her but Ai did kind of deserve it. Still Naomi did like how tough Ai was and was drawn to her although she was slightly scared of what Ai could do, so she decided to stick with Rin for the time being. "Ai's awake" Naomi said timidly and stood close to Rin for fear of another fight breaking out between Ai and Ralph.

Rin listened to Ralph as he filled her in on what happened upstairs. Rin wasn't that surprised that Ai and Ralph got in a fight, but that didn't mean she supported it. Rin hates violence and wants to resolve things peacefully. Ralph then took out a cigarette butt and began to draw on the wall. Curious, Rin watched him as he drew. By the time he was finished, Rin saw the drawing of a fish with human legs and lips. "W-wow," Rin said, "What an interesting drawing. You're pretty good at it! I-if you want, I am trying to find a notepad here. I could give you some paper. Oh! B-by the way, I'm Rin." After she finished talking, Rin saw Naomi coming towards her. "Ai's awake." Naomi said. Rin then glanced between Ai and Ralph, and then returned her gaze to Ai. Ai then began to complain and said she was going solo. Rin stepped forward. "W-wait! I can understand w-why you don't trust anyone, but a-aren't we supposed to be f-figuring this all out?" Rin ducked her head and stared at the floor fearfully. She wasn't used to interfering with what others did, especially someone like Ai. She usually just went with the flow, but Rin really wanted to find out what was going on. Rin clasped her hands together and waiting for Ai's response.

Ai smiled at Rin when she chirped up. "No need to be scared of me. I only use violence against people that deserve it" Ai then chuckled and sighed "I still wanna go by myself. There's some stuff I gotta do" Ai pushed herself off of the wall and headed towards the elevator where she got in and pressed the button that took her up to the next floor. Ai looked around the corridor for her knife but she just couldn't find it at all. "I wonder where it went. It's pretty precious to me" Ai said to herself and went over to room 1. She opened the door and looked at the dead body, it wasn't the first one she'd seen but this was the most grisly killing she'd seen by far. Ai walked over to the body and looked it up and down. "Poor bastard" she said and closed the door after she left. Ai decided it would be best to check the rest of the rooms out and proceeded down the hall twisting and pulling all of the door knobs.

Ralph briefly glanced over to watch Ai wake up, and Rin try to persuade her to stay. Ai still left. Good riddance. "Hey, Rin. I honestly wouldn't go after her, she's a bully, and I just don't tolerate that sorta shit. You don't know what she might do up there to ya." He said, while drawing his next whatever that it might be. His stub was getting a little short, and he might just need to go and fetch some blood pretty soon. But, he had enough of it on himself, he didn't think he would need to go upstairs. Just as he thought this, he had to steady himself on the wall. "Do you know where I can get some water? I'm losing a little blood here." He looked around the lobby. A few desks, and overall empty space. 


"HEY! KIDNAPPER! WHERE CAN I- Wait a second. Shit. IS THERE ANY WATER SOURCES IN THE LOBBY?" He hated drawing the attention of the demon on the speaker, but he had to. He wasn't going upstairs. At least not without some actual backup this time.

Yua stood up, and walked around, trying finding her little gang, "Naomi..? Rin..?" She asked, walking around, Yua rubbed her temples, and looked around, and when she did find them, she ran over to them, "Hey.. Sorry I ditched.. What happened..?" Yua asked and tilted her head, "Where is everyone anyway..?" She asked again, Yua for again was in her own little world, and because of that, she didn't even know what happened, Stupid Yua.. That's what you get for just walking off, and not seeing if anyone wanted to go with you, or just waiting until you got the information you needed.  Yua thought, and just waited for any of the two to answer.

Rin listened as Ai told her to not be afraid of her and that she had stuff to do. Rin considered joining her until she heard Ralph say, "Hey, Rin. I honestly wouldn't go after her, she's a bully, and I just don't tolerate that sorta shit. You don't know what she might do up there to ya." He's right, Rin thought, I would be completely defenseless if something were to happen. Rin watched Ralph as he asked for some water. Sadly, Rin didn't know. Ralph began to yell at the kidnapper for water. Rin just watched in hope. Rin didn't admit it out loud, but she was beginning to become slightly dehydrated herself. "Hey." Rin turned to find Yua coming towards them. "Sorry I ditched... What happened...?" Yua asked and tilted her head, "Where is everyone anyway...?" Rin smiled at Yua, glad to see her again. "Hi, Yua," Rin greeted, "It's okay. Ai and Ralph kind of g-got into a fight. That's why they are both a little b-beat up. Ralph is asking for water and Ai left. Otherwise we aren't doing much." Rin then turned to face the group of people in the lobby. "U-um... do we want to start this meeting? To, uhh, f-figure out what's going on? Or should we wait for Ai?" Rin glanced at everyone nervously.

The speakers came on and the voice of the mastermind came booming through the speakers. "Water. Well, there's a bit of a shortage right now. But maybe the killer will bring some with them." The mastermind chuckled down the microphone. "Oh yeah! I go to the last room upstairs, there's someone that wants to see ya's! Ok byeee!" The lobby went silent and Naomi looked around "Guys... What if Ai's, dead?" Naomi felt a little sick at the thought of losing someone else and stayed close to Rin trying not to think about it. Naomi was shaking a little, she hated hearing that voice it just got to her every time

Splendid. There's a bathroom, with running water (probably), a killer, and a potentially more hurt Ai. All of this, upstairs. Even Naomi wanted to go upstairs now! "WHY THE HELL DOES EVERYONE WANNA GO BACK TO JAKKU!?" He raged. "Whatever the hell meeting we were going to have is ajorned. I'm going upstairs." And with that, he angrily stopped drawing dickbutt and swiftly walked to the elevator doors.


"Anyone else wanna go back to Jakku? I really don't want to be in the funhouse for too long."
 
Once the speakers cut out, Rin felt a chill up her spine. This is just great, Rin thought, there's probably a killer upstairs waiting to murder us. Naomi pulled Rin out of her thoughts. "Guys... what if Ai's dead?" Rin felt her blood run cold. Of course, Rin wasn't the biggest fan of Ai. Rin didn't like violence, so Ai wasn't her best friend to any extent, but no one ever deserved to die. "I guess we have to go upstairs then..." said Rin quietly. Rin didn't want to go upstairs to meet this killer, but she knew they had to go up there eventually. "WHY THE HELL DOES EVERYONE WANNA GO BACK TO JAKKU!?" yelled Ralph. Rin turned to look at him as he said, "Whatever the hell meeting we were going to have is adjourned. I am going upstairs." Ralph then made his way to the elevator doors. Rin pondered whether or not to follow him. Quickly, Rin yelled softly, "W-wait, Ralph! W-we probably should all go together! Who knows what's up there!"

"I honestly don't give one single shit as to what happens upstairs. Look, I'll scout, and if you want, you can come up too. Goodbye!"


He pushed the up arrow on the elevator, and ventured up alone. He made sure of that. Then, the doors opened. "Ai? You out there?" He didn't have anything to arm himself, besides from his fists, which has been reduced to one by the fight from earlier. He couldn't use his left arm. There, he awaited what might step from the shadows.
 
Ai pulled the last door and to her surprise it opened. She took a little peak in and saw an office area. There was a large office chair and a desk in the room, Ai decided it would be best to wait for everyone else before she went looking around in that room. She didn't want to find a trap or get blown up so it would be best to let someone else go first. Ai closed the door and walked towards the elevators before she heard someone. "Ai? You out there?" Ai froze and took a couple steps back before replying "Uhh, Yeah!?" Ai didn't want to end up unconscious again so decided not to head towards the elevator until she knew that everyone else was with him. She let out a sigh, why did it have to end like this?


Naomi looked up at Rin "We should go up. We may not like her very much but she is in the same boat as us" Naomi said and smiled at Rin using her signature sweet smile. This was the smile that could get her anything she wanted "Maybe there's a notebook upstairs now" Naomi giggled and started to pull Rin along with her
