Phase 01. Wake up!

Rin just found out that Yua was an ultimate musician. "W-wow, Rin stated,"t-hat's pretty cool!" Then, Yua asked Rin, "If you find a notepad, give me some paper please~?" Rin laughed, "Of course! Just because I'm the ultimate writer doesn't m-mean I w-won't share some paper." Once they Rin excited the elevator, she called out to her friends to come with her to explore. Yua nodded and came to join her. Then, the duo waited for Naomi.

"Come on guys! 3 is not a lonely number! Geez. Go to door 1." With that the voice left, letting the music flow through the building.

Naomi skipped out of the elevator and over to You and Rin. Naomi looked up at Rin and smiled "I really like going with you. It makes me feel extra safe!" Naomi said happily and glanced over at Yua. She couldn't let her take her big sister away from her, Naomi was very possessive of people when they agreed to let her call them big sis or big bro. Naomi clung to Rin's shirt and smiled at her with a large sweet smile

"That's so creative of you. Maybe we thought you decided to be original for once!" "What's next, First is the worst, second is the best, third is the one with the treasure chest?" Ralph muttered under his breath. He angrily tromped over to the first door, wishing the goddamn music would stop.  "Alright, what's behind door number one!" Ralph exclaimed as he twisted the door handle. He was sure to push it, since most of the time he watched most people push pull doors and pull push doors. He was always sure to check for these sorts of things.

"HAHAHA! Good job! You got it right!"  The speakers boomed and the speakers vibrated along with it. "Now take a good long look. Because you guys could end up just like that!" A dead body was pinned up to the wall with thick rivets and a metal bar through his stomach. "This is gonna be the best! Maybe you'll be the next one Ralph!?" The voice said sadistically and a maniacal laugh flooded the halls of the hotel "Well have fun!" The speakers cut out and then cut back in with some heavy metal playing this time.

Pretty bored at this point, Dennis followed Ralph over to the first door. That would have been his next guess, but it indeed seemed rather pointless to play a guessing game such as this if... Dennis had forgotten why they were even doing this. Watching the door wing open his eyes widened in shock as the dead body pinned up against the wall was revealed in all its bloody glory. Dennis actually took a step back, "Who... Who is that? And why you..." He trailed off, at a loss for words. He closed the door, slamming it shut quickly to remove the scene from his sight. Walking back until he stopped against a wall, Dennis looked to Ralph to see what he thought back these recent events. Not that he'd expect anything too sane from the guy, he'd already proven to be nutty as it is.

"Nothing of interest. And Rhapsody is better than whatever this shit you're playing." He looked to Dennis, who had a shocked expression and was stuck blabbering. He shrugged. "What? I listen to metal pretty regularly." He stuck his head into the room, and took a peek around. "Yep, pretty murder room like to me." He stepped in, and pulled the bar out with a sickening squelch. "Part of the job, I suppose." The bar was still slicked with blood, primarily the part that had been inside of the poor fuck that it was stabbed into. He examined the bar a little more closely, just studying where it might've been from. It might've been a bar from a gym, he's been there once or twice. Mostly due to his fitness fanatic dad, but he just never caught on to that. Not like he didn't like his dad, working out just wasn't his thing. 


"Hey, you know how to use this thing? You said you used to work at a temple, and the first thing that popped to mind was a cool Buddhist monk temple where you guys do ninja tricks and stuff. I know, i'm an uncultured swine." He wiped off the blood onto his shirt, and yelled to no one in particular, "WHERE THE FUCK IS THE BATHROOM I GOTTA WASH MY FUCKING HANDS!"

Dennis opened the door again to answer, "While I am proficient in polearm combat, it is not really ever used for stabbing people unless it's a spear and that is not a spear. It looks to me like the killer was going for a brutally savage kill or is simply not skilled at killing a person with a blunt polearm." Dennis, now slightly more composed, stroked his chin thoughtfully, "That must mean the perpetrator is abnormally strong and or potentially insane. Do you have any idea where the bar came from?" He asked, curious now. He'd never really used a gym, or at least a modern one, his temple only featured other types of strength and agility training such as walking on the tops of bamboo sticks and lifting heavy rocks in a rucksack all day. Quite a rudimentary way to achieve a certain level of athleticism given the day and age, but effective nonetheless.

Rin watched as Naomi skipped over to them. Naomi smiled and said, "I really like going with you. It makes me feel extra safe!" Rin caught sight of Naomi glancing at Yua. Huh, she wondered, I wonder if something's wrong. Naomi then clung onto Rin's shirt. Rin smiled softly and let out a sigh. "Okay girls," Rin stated, "Let's go." The girls continues down the hall until they approached a set of rooms. Rin turned to her classmates. "O-okay... since I m-made you guys come with me, you guys can pick out what room we go into first!" Rin smiled at the two and waited patiently.

"HIHIHIHIHIHIHI! Looks like you guys enjoyed my present! Now... there's the matter of who it is. Nobody in particular. Just somebody's big brother." The voice then became a whisper "It's Naomi's big brother. Shhh!" Whoever this was really seemed like a maniac "That kill was pretty brutal though! I stood there and watched it all! He put up a great fight. Buuut in here. It's who's more cunning not who's got the muscle! HIHIHIHIHIHIHIHI! Now I did say the killer wouldn't be here today but I may have lied. It all depends on whether they want to come out of hiding" The speakers cut out. The music even stopped which plunged the hotel into silence once again. The speakers came back on rather quickly though "OH OH OH! By the way! We'll have some more people joining us! So watch out for theeemmm!" With that the speakers cut out once again and the hotel went back to being silent.

Naomi began to shake once she heard what was being said over the speakers. She went pale and dropped to her knees as she stared at the floor with tears welling up in her eyes "B-Big. Brot-ther..." Naomi began to cry. She wanted to get out so she could see him again, but now she had no goal or ambition. Naomi put her face  in her hands and cried out. "This isn't fair! I need him. To be strong!" Naomi stood up and rested her head on the wall. She slowly began to bang her head on the wall with some force.

Ai Fusaki


Ai woke up and almost instantly went into a rage. She got up and ignored the dizziness as she looked around the lobby of the hotel. Ai frantically checked her pockets to find only a box of cigarettes that only had about five left. Ai clenched her fist and was about ready to blow "All right! Where the fuck are ya?!" Ai fixed her short black skirt and white button up shirt and walked towards the elevator. She checked her other skirt pocket and found a lighter that didn't have very much gas left in it. Ai shrugged and put a cigarette in her mouth and lit it taking a deep inhale. "This is fuckin' stupid. Five won't last me at all" Ai sighed as she blew out the smoke from the cigarette and pushed a button on the elevator. The elevator came down to the bottom floor and Ai got in and pushed to go to the next floor up.


Naomi


Naomi hugged Yua back and cried into her. "I cant do this. I just cant." Naomi said through her cries. The more she cried the tighter she hugged Yua. She didn't seem all that bad to Naomi and Naomi decided to give her a chance. Naomi looked up at Yua and weakly smiled, still managing to look adorable. "I really don't like this place" Naomi said in almost a whisper as she let go of Yua and looked at the wall

"So I was right! That must be the coolest shit! Watch you get mutilated, then come back as a cyborg! You'll be a fucking cyborg ninja!" He quieted down, and used the murder-weapon as a walking stick, and left the room, the light bar making a bong, chk, bong, chk as he walked. Then, another screech of the damned interrupted his enjoyment of the new walking stick he just found. That was somebody's brother. Seems like it'll look bad on my part if I come out there. Eh, what's the worst that can happen? Ralph, for once in his life, walked with some seriousness, towards a young sobbing girl, hugging another girl. 


"Hey, uh, I know where your brother is right now, if you would like to see him. You don't want to see where this came from though." He turned to Dennis, and waved him over. He might've looked to seem malicious, as he was covered in blood, but he had no idea what to do. And he still needed that bathroom. He went to go try for Door #2, he really needed to wash his hands.

Ai Fukawa


The elevator hit the next floor and Ai came storming out of the elevator with a cigarette in her mouth. She spotted a group of people and slowed her walk down and put on her serious business face. "Oi! You's! Where the fuck is this?! Who the fuck are you?! Answer me!" Ai took a drag on her cigarette and blew out the smoke casually as she leaned on a wall making sure to keep the group in her field of vision. She flicked the cigarette in another direction and sighed as she watched the cigarette burn out on the floor.


Naomi


Naomi looked over at Dennis as he spoke to her. She began to cry more when he brought up her big brother and went back to banging her head on the wall. That was until she noticed Ai who was storming down the corridor shouting at god knows who. Naomi felt a little intimidated by this girl and looked away as she didn't want anything to do with her really.


"Oooh Dennis! Door two isn't open yet! If you want a toilet then use room 1. It's got one in there. By the way. I'd love for you all to meet the lovely and charming Ai Fukawa! She'd love to meet you all actuallly!" The speakers died out leaving a screech to echo throughout the halls

Yua didn't complain about the girl hugging her tighter, she just nodded and listened. "Shhh.. It's okay..." She whispered and hugged her just a little bit tighter. [COLOR= rgb(64, 224, 208)]"I really don't like this place" [/COLOR]"No one does Naomi.. We'll get out of here soon." She tried to reassure her, even if it didn't work. Then, some guy came walking down the hall, she looked up at him, still hugging Naomi. "Hey, uh, I know where your brother is right now, if you would like to see him. You don't want to see where this came from though." Yua's eyes widened, she never- well she did experience loss somewhat, but she assumed that it didn't help much that was offered to him. She shook her head, "Not the smartest idea asshat.." She mumbled. Then, watched as Naomi started banging her head on the wall, "Stop that!" She raised her voice a little and picked her up, just to see another person storming down the hall.  "By the way. I'd love for you all to meet the lovely and charming Ai Fukawa! She'd love to meet you all actuallly!"  Then, hearing her yell, something snapped in her, "Shut the fuck up! Christ! Fucking want to be mob boss! What the fuck is your deal!? Running down the hall like you're some big fucking deal, I'm trying to help her out!" She motioned to Naomi, "And you think you can walk around like you own the place!"

Rin listened to the speakers as they revealed the dead victim as Naomi's older brother. Numb, Rin fell to her knees and cupped her mouth. Her body started shaking in fear. During this, she began to hear Naomi's desperate cries as she mourned for her brother. Out of the corner of her eye, Rin saw Yua hug Naomi close to her. Still in shock, Rin remained on the ground. I'm gonna die, Rin thought, I am really going to die in here...! She started to cry lightly at the thought. "Why...." Rin cried softly. "Why are you doing this!" She yelled at the speaker. Rin felt the tears streaming down her face and sucked in a breath. Rin let out a long sigh. Because of her small panic attack, Rin failed to notice the boy who passed by and talked with Naomi and Yua. As Rin stood up, she walked solemnly over to where Naomi and Yua sat by the wall. When Rin got there, the speakers cut in again and stated, "By the way. I'd love for you all to meet the lovely and charming Ai Fukawa! She'd love to meet you all actually!" Rin then heard Yua yell, "Shut the fuck up! Christ! Fucking want to be mob boss! What the fuck is your deal!? Running down the hall like you're some big fucking deal, I'm trying to help her out! And you think you can walk around like you own the place!"


Rin was shocked by her outburst and lightly touched Yua's shoulder. "Yua..." Rin whispered, "Just stop. You'll make things worse.... It isn't worth it...."

Ai grinned and spat on the floor "And who might you be talking to? Because I know you weren't talking to me just now. I'll kill you and whoever else wants to talk to me like I'll lie down and accept it. Bitch" Ai pushed herself off of the wall and got down on to her knee, she then produced a small knife from the back of her boot. "Now. Who were you talking to?" Ai said with a sadistic grin on her face, she stood up and lit another cigarette before taking a drag on it and blowing the smoke into the groups direction.


Naomi


Naomi looked over at Ai and then back at Yua in shock. She didn't expect that outburst from Yua and stood over next to Rin when Ai pulled out a small knife. "Big sis. She's scary." Naomi said and clung to Rin's arm as she lightly trembled at how Ai reacted to Yua's outburst. She was calm but seemed ready to fight anyone, Naomi could tell that this girl wasn't going to take her guard down in here. This wasn't good at all"

Dennis shook his head and walked over. The murder had put him in a foul mood and the drama that was now unfolding did nothing to help that, least of all that pissy girl with the cigarettes, destroying both her own body and those of others around her. Just that was enough for him to immediately dislike her but her attitude was what made it all the worse. Stopping nearby the group and leaning on one of the walls, Dennis drew one his longer knives and balanced it on his finger, "There will be no more killing today. Unless you want discuss that at greater length with me around the corner." He spoke, directly staring at Ai with clear hostility. Of course he didn't want to outright kill her, he'd never killed a person before, but she would be the person Dennis would be least sad about if they were to somehow die.

"Well, i'm going to seriously get cleaned." He ignored the "asshat" remark, the yelling, the crying girl now tapping her head against the wall, (I say tapping because there's a difference between tapping your head against a drywall and smashing through it.) and another, more dramatic crying girl. Seems like we have a surplus of crying girls and COMPETITION THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE CYNICAL MOTHER FUCKER AND THAT IS ME MOTHER FUCKER. Yes, he somewhat ignored the happenings around him, but the second "Strong Female Protagonist #76" dropped her cigarette, he dived for it. Quite literally. He slid across the ground, brushing the floor with his body as he stopped just short of the dropped cigarette. His new staff was a little ways behind him, but he ignored that fact when he picked up the smoldering cigarette butt. 


"Why did I just do that?" He said, as he brushed himself off, slightly confused as to how he became dirty in the first place. "Wasn't I just- OH!" He looked down at the cigarette butt. He loved collecting these, as a child he collected them and used the ashes as little crayons. He was able to draw anywhere and anywhere. It wasn't like he was poor, but in a rich neighborhood, they weren't hard to find with the ash trays EVERYWHERE. At least they weren't on the ground. Now he remembered why he wanted the butt so badly. (Out of context, that sentence is hilarious) He didn't have much in the way to make art, besides charcoal black/grey, and blood red. Funny thing is, is that Ralph has minor colorblindness, so becoming a artist wasn't exactly the best idea for his own nature, but he loved to paint anyways, no matter how strangely the colors clashed together.




Now, a fight. He wasn't going to clean off any time soon, was he? Maybe this was the killer mentioned earlier, or maybe this EDGY EMO FUCKING CUNTRAG decided she should SHOW THE FUCK UP and RUIN MY FUCKING DAY. For starters, Ralph has had no formal weekly fight training, but has gotten a bit of it from his father. Same fitness fucking fanatic. He can make a fist all well and dandy, but through his near psychopathic, self-nihilistic, chaotic attitude, he simply does not give one fucking shit about his own personal health. Besides from sicknesses, because sickness is for the weak. 


"HEY! FUCKTARD! YOU GOT A FUCKING PROBLEM? YOU WANNA FUCKING STAB SOME DEFENSELESS GIRLS? IT'S TWO TO FUCKING ONE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO FUCKING TRY THIS KIDDO!?" To Dennis, whom he prayed was on his side for ending this fucking shit right now, "PASS ME MY GODDAMN BAR SO I CAN SHOVE IT UP HER ASS."

After Rin tapped Yua's shoulder, Ai pushed herself of the wall as she cursed at Yua. When Ai got really close, she pulled out a small knife from her boot. "Now. Who were you talking to?" Ai asked Yua with a sadistic smile plastered on her face. Naomi, scared of Ai and the knife, clung to Rin's arm and stated, "Big sis. She's scary." Naomi began to tremble as Rin softly wrapped her arm around her. I have to be on my guard. Rin thought, This could mean trouble. "There will be no more killing today. Unless you want to discuss that at a greater length with me around the corner." Rin turned around to face a boy with a long, sharp knife in his hand as he leaned against the wall. Within seconds, another male arrived at the scene and yelled, "HEY! FUCKTARD! YOU GOT A PROBLEM? YOU WANNA FUCKING STAB SOME DEFENSELESS GIRLS? ITS TWO TO FUCKING ONE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO FUCKING TRY THIS KIDDO!? PASS ME MY GODDAMN BAR SO I CAN SHOVE IT UP HER ASS."


Rin watched the duo astonished. Wow, Rin thought, They sure are nice people when it comes down to it. Rin then glanced back at Ai and clenched her hands, too afraid to get involved.

Ai Fukawa


Ai laughed at the people around her. She wiped tears from her eyes as she finished laughing. "You guys are fucking great. First of all. I'll fight any of you. Second of all. I'd love to have you two in my gang when we get out. I mean, I will be controlling the Yakuza some time soon so having a couple strong people will definitely help business. Plus she's talking shit about me. I can't let that slide even if it does mean killing them." Ai took a drag from her cigarette and stubbed it out on the wall. She held the butt out to Ralph. She leaned back on the wall with a big grin on her face, still chuckling.


"Hey hey! Ai! I know that you're a big shot out there. But in here it's a whole different ball game! I'm not against you killing anyone. But I'd really hate to see you die"


The speakers cut back out with an awful screech

Dennis snorted slightly in mild laughter at Ai's response to their clear threats. He picked up the dropped bar and tossed it Ralph's way before answering, "That's great, but I'm not about to join any gangs. If I had wanted to get myself killed in stupid ways over stupid reasons then I would have joined the army." With that, Dennis resumed his leaning position against the wall and the knife disappeared somewhere up his sleeve. He closed his eyes and rested his head back, "So what now? Are we supposed to find out who killed that guy? And then what, convict him - trial and all?" He smiled again, scratching the small amount of stubble that had apparently decided to grow on his chin. It was that time of his life, he supposed. "Oh, and does anyone actually know why we're here? Being locked in a building with a bunch of students and a killer is hardly an explanation." Dennis wasn't quite sure why he was so talkative today, but he guessed that someone needed to voice these questions. Bring a little sanity back into the room before things descended into bloodshed like what had happened to Naomi's brother. The last thing Dennis really wanted was for more people to needlessly die.

Yua ignored the rest of the comments that were being tossed around, she turned and walked off, she heard the speakers as she walked off, and ignored that too, she just wanted to get away from this as far as she could. Eventually, not going to far from the group, she stopped as sat, her back agaisnt the wall. "Fuck me..." She mumbled, and just stared at the wall across from her, she would have to go back at some point, but there was no point to go back right now, she started humming, and waited.

Ralph, being the type of guy that he was, caught the bar, not without some difficulty absorbing the shock however. It was a large metal bar after all. The response to the two threats that had been clearly stated only made Ralph's vision start to dim. Not because of blood rushing through his head or anything, well, partially, it's because he's colorblind. Deuteranopia?  R/G colorblindness? I know that was a bad joke but jus' sayin'.


Baffled by Dennis's actions, besides from him tossing the bar, he ignored the "solving the mystery" or "preventing bloodshed." Clearly, SOME PRETENTIOUS COCKSLEEVE DECIDED IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO FUCKING BE A DICKSHITTING ASSHEAD AND WANT TO FUCK UP MY FUCKING DAY. Ralph had a little 'no bullshit tolerance policy' that seemed to... Make him look mentally challenged. Not gonna lie. So, he walked up to Ai, who had her hand with cigarette out towards Ralph, and fucking bit it. 


Ralph in his childhood, loved to bite into gobstoppers. The hard candies that were meant to be sucked on. He used to, but then he bit clean through the little ones, until eventually they were nice and easy to bite clean through the larger ones. Clean through is a bit of an overstatement, as it was more of... A progressive bite. 4-5 were the average. Still, a very powerful jaw.


Anywho, Ralph grabbed hold of Ai's arm, and bit into her hand. No, not her fingers, but the palm of the hand, HARD. He had fully expected a stab, but he didn't really seem to care according to the wildfire blazing in his eyes. He then unlatched his teeth. It slightly reminded him of a gobstopper, but not as many satisfying crunches as he remembered.

Ai froze as he hand was bitten by Ralph. Her expression turned from a smug grin to an expression of pure rage. As Ralph stopped biting down she pulled her hand back and hit the wall with her other hand. "What. The. Actual. Fuck!? When we get out of here you're dead" Ai said and looked at her hand then looked back at Ralph, her grip tightening on the knife she had. Ai was taught never to use a blade on someone unless she was in deep trouble or if she was using it for intimidation. She put the blade into her pocket and kicked Ralph in the shin at full force "Nobody has ever hurt me. And for good reason. Expect a lot of people on your ass" With that Ai closed her eyes and sighed as she rubbed her hand and tried to compose herself. She had been told countless times that she shouldn't just get angry of small things and instead channel that anger into making some money. But no money was to be made here and Ai wasn't going to fuel any more arguments.

Naomi looked at the scene before her, Ralph was clung to Ai's hand with his mouth and Ai looked like she was about to seriously kill someone. To Naomi's surprise Ai didn't stab him and instead kicked him whilst spouting threats. Naomi smiled and moved from Rin, she decided that she would see if Yua was okay and skipped off in the direction Yua headed. Naomi finally found her "Hey, are you okay?" Naomi asked Yua and smiled at her.

As Rin watched the scene unfold, she noticed that Naomi left her side to check on Yua. Deciding she could handle it, Rin stayed in her place as Ralph and Ai continued to bicker. She decided to approach the man leaning against the wall. Rin introduced herself, "U-um... thank you for what you did earlier.... I appreciate it. I don't believe I have introduced myself. M-my name is Rin. What's yours?"
