Phase 01. Wake up!

"Wakey Wakey! Rise and shiiinee!" A voice echoed throughout the desolate hotel floors.  "Seriously. WAKE. UP! I'm getting bored here" Once again a voice boomed from the speakers around the hotel which woke Naomi up . Naomi  looked around and shook her head trying to shake away the terrible headache that she had, how did she get there? And why did she have such a headache? She stood up and looked around at the unconscious people lying around her.  "W-What? What is this?" Naomi said quietly as she didn't dare speak any louder since she didn't want to be killed or hurt.


"Oh! Hey there Naomi! Did you sleep well? I'm sure you did. I couldn't even wake you up! HEHEHEHEHE!" The speakers seemed to vibrate at the sound of the sinister laughter coming from them. Naomi's focus shot towards one of the speakers in the corner of the lobby. "W-who are you? Show yourself!" Naomi raised her voice out of anger at the speakers and this seemed to annoy whoever was behind the microphone. "Now let me tell you one thing! I make the requests around here! So shut up. And listen. Look behind the reception. You'll like what you find there" The speakers cut out with a loud screech and Naomi covered her ears in pain. She then slowly walked over to the reception and climbed over the desk. When she looked into one of the draws she found a shiny blade, sharp enough to pierce and kill in quick succession. "Why would I like this? What the hell!"  With that Naomi threw the blade at one of the speakers which seemed to make whoever was behind it want to interact more. "Ow! Come on! That was a little present I made just for you!" The speakers vibrated as the voice got louder with every word she said and very soon she would wake everyone up

As soon as the speaker had made a sound, Dennis had flipped upwards from his lying positions in an impressive show of acrobatics to land squarely on his feet, a blade in each hand already pointed at the only other person awake in the room. It was then that he fully opened his eyes from his deep sleep did he notice exactly who it was that he was pointing his blades at, "Oh. You startled me." He simply stated, before wincing as the speakers cut out with a screech. So that had been the source of the rude wake up call. Looking around, Dennis decided that he couldn't discern where they were, but he did know that he'd never been here before, "Where are we? What is this place?" He asked the girl in his usual serious tone. This was unusual, it wasn't often that he had gone from checking out some new school to blacking out, only to wake up in some strange room with a bunch of strangers lying around him. It was unsettling. Dennis put his blades away and glanced up at the speaker. There wasn't really anything of interest about it other than the voice that had come from it and Dennis as pretty sure he couldn't break it either. He sighed, glancing at he sharp thing the girl had thrown at the speaker for a moment before sitting in one of his ninja meditive positions.

The combined sound of the speakers and voices of people startled Rin as she jolted awake. She rubbed her sore eyes and glanced around. Where am I, she thought, What am I doing here? The thought racing through Rin's mind caused her pounding headache to increase. As she massaged her temples, Rin took in her surroundings. She seems to be in some sort of lobby. Along with her, other people seem to be asleep on the floor. Huh, Rin thought, I guess I'm not the only one. The movement Rin caught in the corner of her eye caused her to jolt around. Two people, a boy and a girl, seemed to have just woken up and broke the blaring speaker. Due to her shyness, Rin was locked in her place. She rubbed her arms and sat silently as she pondered over what she was doing there and why. Deciding someone around her might know the answer, Rin gently tried to wake up the person next to her.

Yua woke up to someone trying to shake her awake, she turned her head, and saw the girl who was shaking her. She rolled away from her then sat up. "Why.. Why were you shaking me..?!" she asked, and raised her voice, "Seriously!! I'm tr-" she cut herself off, and looked around. Yua sighed, and looked back at the girl, "I'm sorry.. I didn't raise my voice.. I just got.. a little scared." she mumbled. Yua looked at the girl ad tilted her head, and reached out her hand, "I think we started off on the wrong foot.. I'm Yua." She said, just a little bit louder. I was a jerk, I just got to be polite.. And maybe, she won't be upset. She thought.

After a few moments of shaking the girl awake, the girl opened her eyes and turned to face Rin. The girl quickly rolled away from Rin and sat up. "Why... why were you shaking me...?!" The girl asked. She then raised her voice and said, "Seriously!! I'm tr-" Rin flinched and the girl cut herself off and looked around. "I'm sorry... I didn't raise my voice.... I just got... scared." The girl mumbles as she turned to face Rin. Rin, taking a relieved breath, soon relaxed and gave a faint smile. The older girl put out her hand and said, "I think we got off on the wrong foot.... I'm Yua." Rin, feeling relieved with the situation, grinned and introduced herself, "I'm Rin. Nice to meet you, Yua." Deciding that Yua might know something about what was happening, Rin asked shyly, "Um... by the way... I am sorry for bothering you, but... do you know where we are? Or perhaps why we're here?"

This wasn't his day, was it? Ralph was still lying on the floor, pretending to be asleep, ignoring the incredibly fucking annoying screeching he could only discern as human speech. With that initial "wake up call", he simply turned over onto his other shoulder, hoping the voice would shut the fuck up. Unluckily for him, it only got louder and more prevelant as more voices joined in. These new voices were familiar. Classmates? Friends? More probably the former, as he didn't have any of the latter, and for good reason. He hated people. And he decided that he had hated waking up too. 


Finally, he opened his eyes to see a group of others all huddled together, conversing as people do. He wasn't having any of that social bullcrap, so he immediately sought for an exit. His fruits of labor paid off quickly, as he had found a dual set of elevators at the rightmost end of the lobby, and calmly paced over to one. He was sure the others had enough of a brain to see the second elevator, and he pushed the only other button besides from Ground Floor, Floor 1. The elevator dinged as the doors began to shut, and he waved to whomever decided to finally get their head out of their own asses and look around.

The speakers cut back in as the 'host' of this meetup decided to speak up "OoOoOoOH! Morning sleepyheads! Seriously. Why sleep so long?!" The speakers boomed as the voice echoed throughout the lobby and made Naomi jump as they spoke. "Do you know why you're here? Of course you don't! I just kinda... brought you here. Yeah"


The voice seemed to sound playful but also struck terror into the heart of Naomi who stood there looking at the black box in the far corner of the lobby. The speakers boomed once again "So. Lemme explain! You guys are stuck here! No exit! You just can't leave! Go ahead try. You cant! That's why I said it! HIHIHIHIHI!" The person spoke as if someone had argued back with them. But this clearly wasn't the case. "In a couple nights. A bloooooodthirsty maniac will appear! Someone could die. Or they could just screw with ya! One way or the other this is great fuuuuuuunn! HIHIHIHIHIHI!" That laughter made Naomi's stomach knot up. She felt ill and placed her hands to lean on the desk "W-Why? Why do this to us?!"  Naomi asked the mysterious voice and almost instantly it answered "Hey! Whoever said I had to have a reason?! This is just pure fun! Fun fun fun fun fun fun FUUUUUUNN!" Whoever this was sounded like a complete and utter maniac to Naomi and this made her feel even more ill. "So. Go and explore! I'm sure you're all adventurous souls! But... be careful. I have some presents and if you take a wrooooong steeep! BOOOOM! KABLAMMO! EXPLOOOOOOOOSSSSIIIIIOOOONNS! Haaave fuuun! HIHIHIHIHIHIHIHI" The speakers cut out with an almighty screech and Naomi closed her eyes. She looked around at everyone with pure shock plastered across her face "I wish I had my big bro. I need him here so I can be strong." As Naomi said this tears began to well up in her eyes and tears fell onto the desk

I am sorry for bothering you, but... do you know where we are? Or perhaps why we're here?"  Yua shook her head, "I have no clue maybe-" She cut herself off over the voice over the speaker. She readjusted and looked at the speaker, the mixture of evil laughter and pure joy from that voice upset her, Yua stood up once the voice stopped talking. "What is your deal!?! If this your idea of a game, you're crazy!" She shouted, not even caring if the voice could hear her. She sat back down and crossed her arms, "We're going to have to move at one point aren't we.." She mumbled, annoyed. "Ughhhhh... What the hell?! How did we evennnn get here!?!?"

When Rin asked Yua why they were here, Yua said she didn't know either. Interrupted by the speaker, Yua turned to face it. Rin, already facing the speaker, took in the new information. They were stuck here! "W-what?!" Rin cried. This can't be real, she thought, Please tell me I'm dreaming. The speaker then announced that someone could die. The voice seemed giddy, making Rin start to tear up. This is just wrong, Rin believed, This person is creepy. I don't want to die! At the conclusion of the announcement, all the students were told to explore. Yua stood up began shouting out at the host. Rin, startled, directed her gaze towards her.  Yua, after yelling, sat back down and crossed her arms. "Well," Yua said annoyed, "We're going to have to move at some point aren't we...." Rin nodded and stood up. "Ugh.... What the hell?! How did we even get here?!?!" Said Yua. Rin, understanding Yua's frustration, directed her gaze at the floor and said, "I don't know... but if this person thinks they will get a-away with this, they are wrong. We need to find a way out of here." Rin, who stood up straight to look confident, looked around the lobby and noticed a few elevators. Turning to look at Yua, Rin asked, "Y-Yua, how about we go see where these elevators t-take us? We have to explore... right?" The studder in Rin's voice contradicted her posture. Darn it, Rin thought, Now is not the time to be afraid! I need to be brave! Yeah, brave... I can do that, can't I? Trying to look confident, Rin began to make her way to the elevators.

Naomi looked over at Rin and decided to try and talk to her as she didn't want to be alone in this disgusting place. It was starting to feel like hell on earth for her and she needed someone she could at least look up to so she could feel a little more confident. Naomi walked over to Rin and smiled at her "U-Um. Hi I'm Naomi. C-could I go with you?" Naomi looked at Rin with puppy dog eyes and her cheeks were flushed as she'd been crying recently, all this came together to make Naomi look incredibly cute which was what made her a super high school level little sister. "I-I'm scared and I f-feel ill. I don't wanna die!" With that Naomi clung to Rin and began crying, but more desperately this time. M-maybe. Maybe she can be my big sis. Yeah. Maybe she could Naomi thought to herself as she clung to Rin with her head buried into her chest

It was probably wise to look around given that they were supposedly trapped here. The front entrance didn't seem to be available so it wasn't like they could just walk out, it was never going to be that easy. Standing, Dennis quickly glided over to the elevator that had its doors shutting and joined the guy as they now ascended to the second floor. Leaning against one side of the elevator, Dennis nodded to him, "I'm Dennis, nice to meet you." He wasn't a man of many words, so that was simply all he said. It wasn't like they would be knowing each other for very long, they'd apparently been kidnapped, so someone had to be looking for them. If not their parents and carers, the police or a paid detective or something. Stretching his neck back until it stopped against the metal of the elevator, Dennis sighed. This was all really inconvenient, being forced to wake up in a strange room with random people, being offered little to no explanation on what was actually going on, it was irritating to say the least. Thankfully, Dennis had learned that patience was a virtue and being quick to be angered was a flaw. He would wait before jumping to conclusions, perhaps there was a plausible reason behind this after all?

As she made her way over to the elevator, a girl made her way over to Rin. Turning to the girl, the girl smiled as said, "U-um. Hi I'm Naomi. C-could I go with you? I-I'm scared and I f-feel ill. I don't wanna die!" Naomi ran into Rin and cried, clinging to Rin's waist. Rin, looking at Naomi, whose face was flushed with tears, smiled and said, "O-of course you can!" I need to stay strong, Rin thought, Everyone else is just as scared as I am. As Naomi buried her face in Rin's chest, Rin said, "I'm scared to, but I promise we will find a way out of here. But first we need to explore this place." Rin carefully tried to make her way over to the elevator with the girl. Turning around, Rin yelled, "H-hey, Yua, you coming?" The more the merrier, Rin thought, I might as well make lots of friends if we are stuck here.

"Admitting one, ah too late! There's another fucking elevator!" He said as Dennis slid between the closing gap. He had his finger jammed on the 'close doors' button that prevented the others from coming in. He inhaled, counted to four, then exhaled, and counted to four. He firmly reached out and grasped the stranger's hand with both of his. "Emerson. Ralph Emerson. Sounds like it'll be a few weeks before we're found, so let's not kill each other. Yeah?" He chuckled darkly. The first thing he asked upon meeting somebody else was to not die by their hands. Cruel, but it seemed to be what he had to do to keep himself safe. Him being a fucking asswipe didn't help, but he needed AN ally of some sort, because if he linked up with everyone, it would hurt that much more to be betrayed. 


He let go of Dennis' hands. "I already miss my minis. Say, you've got anything worthwhile out there?" But before Dennis could open his mouth, a shrill 'DING' from the elevator signaled the second floor. He braced himself for another vocal barrage and jarring laughter. He swore to himself that he was going to make a sick mantelpiece with his kidnapper's skeleton. A spooky scary mantelpiece at that. He looked this way and that, spotting a few doors.

Somewhat surprised by the over-the-top attitude of his new 'friend', Dennis stepped out of the elevator and took in their new surroundings. A door with no obvious direction as to what it was and a... A weapon armoury? Dennis turned back to Ralph, "I take care of a temple with my father." If that's what the guy had meant by 'worthwhile' then that's all Dennis had. Maybe he enjoyed, maybe he didn't. He couldn't remember anymore, all he knew was that he had wanted to doing something else before his dad forced him into being a ninja of sorts. Not that it apparently mattered anymore, "Why would we kill each other?" That part hadn't made much sense Dennis, he didn't see any obvious reason as to why anyone would commit a murder unless the circumstances permitted it or the person was insane, unless he had missed something that the speaker had blared at them earlier. Turning again, he walked over to the armoury door and tried the handle.

As soon as Dennis tried the handle to the door the speakers cut back in. "HEY! You're a bit of an eager beaver aren't ya? The killer hasn't even shown up yet! And you want weapons!? Geez. Check back later. Ya know, AFTER the killer has shown up" With this, the speakers screeched and cut off once again. Naomi smiled at Rin and let go of her. "Um. Well, I know this sounds weird. But could I call you my big sis? It'd make me feel a lot better" Naomi giggled and wiped her eyes as she looked at Rin. Naomi heard Rin shout over to someone else. Yua? I'd better watch out for her, it seems that Rin likes her. Naomi clenched her fists but didn't change her cutesy attitude towards anyone she just smiled and cocked her head sideways "Yeah! The more the merrier!" Naomi giggled after she spoke and clung lightly to Rin's clothing "So uhh, do you have a super high school level at all?" Naomi asked Rin with a big smile on her face.

As Rin and Naomi began to enter the elevator, with Yua close behind, Naomi asked, "Um. Well, I know this sounds weird. But could I call you my big sis? It'd make me feel a lot better." Rin, deciding it couldn't hurt, agreed. Naomi giggled and wiped her eyes. Once the elevator closed, Naomi asked Rin, "So uhh, do you have a super high school level at all?" As Naomi smiled at Rin, Rin grinned back and said, "It's more of a hobby than a t-talent. But I really like to write. I like to write stories, musicals, plays, scripts, and more." Thinking about writing made Rin excited. I really hope there's a notepad upstairs, she thought, I would love to write right now. Turning to the other two in the elevator, Rin asked, "Enough about me. How about you guys? What's your ultimate high school level?"

"Ah, it's just something I say to people when I meet them. Families kill each other over the stupidest things, however rare they be. I just say that to calm myself really." God that sounded stupid. Much better in the head than out the mouth. He has his reasons though. Never to say that he didn't have the reason not to ask. "Wonder what's in there?" He pointed to the unmarked door behind him. He lightly prodded the door handle, then twisted the knob.

Naomi was happy that she had a 'big sister' to help her through this rough patch. She had a real big brother waiting outside and she missed him dearly but without someone to call an older sibling how would she be the super high school level little sister! "Oh! Writing is so cool! I'll help you find a notepad! I wanna watch you write sis!" After Naomi said that she began to jump. In fact she jumped so much that the elevator began to rock wildly and with that the speakers screeched with the voice echoing out of it and spilling into the elevator "HEY HEY HEY! Don't rock that! Unless you WANNA die! Then go ahead!" The speakers screeched and the voice had gone. The elevator then let out a ding and the doors began to open. Naomi was feeling very nervous as the doors opened and a bright light poured onto her face


When ralph twisted the door nob the speakers cut back in once again. But it seemed as fast as it cut in it had cut back out then once again back in, it would seem the person behind the speakers had panicked and fumbled with the microphone system which had caused the terrible shrieking to hurt everyone's ears more than it had to. "Don't twist that if you value your life. Ralph! There is most definitely something veeeeery special in there! But it's for when you win! Lemme give you a hint! Check the doors. Check all of the rooms that people would sleep in. And check carefully!" With that the speaker cut back out and left the hotel in complete silence

"Go to hell, you fucking fruit shop owner." Ralph hated his kidnapper, but he wasn't stupid. "Well, I'd keep out I guess." He wanted to let his curiosity run free, but he hasn't seen the rest of the complex yet. Ralph groaned, and shuffled over to another room. He would have to get used to the booming speakers, though he did have a good guess as to what was in there. A very good guess. He had picked the room closest to the left. It felt most comfortable to him, and tried for the door. Preparing himself for the vocal barrage that was whomever the fuck, he fully twisted the door open.

Dennis glanced around, a look of mild surprise on his face as the speakers screeched at them, loud enough to actually make him bring a hand to his ear in pain. He didn't like loud things and so he certainly had a strong dislike for their apparent captor constantly screaming at them, "A simple sign would have sufficed." Dennis muttered before following Ralph with a slight scowl. Of course, he didn't blame Ralph for causing the screeching because he wouldn't have known, but it really was quite irritating for Dennis, who was used to hours on end meditating and sitting in simple silence and seclusion. He hesitated, "What these doors are a trap and that room was just a bluff?" But he walked up to the door directly next to Ralph anyway (Room No 5, I believe) and pulled the handle to see what was inside.

As Dennis pulled the handle the speakers turned back on. But there was no screeching this time which meant that the captor must have been doing that on purpose to irritate the victims. "Bzzt! WrOoOoOoOong dooooor! Lemme give you a hint! It's like you! Sad and lonely! A number! Guess it! I ain't helping anymore! HIHIHIHIHIHII!" The speakers didn't die out after this though, a faint voice could be heard coming through the speakers. "You're useless you know that? Work better! Damn it! Oh. wait? crap. Umm Folks, that was nothing so just enjoy some soothing tunes to help you on your search! Because I'm just that nice!" Opera music then began spilling out of the speakers and flooded the halls.

Sighing slightly but making no comment, Dennis closed the door and walked past Ralph (who you missed out btw) to reach door number three. The number itself looked hunched over, sporting the very body language of someone who was 'sad and lonely', not that Dennis was. He was used to living alone for long periods of time and sitting by himself in complete silence, complete serenity. Of course, he hadn't been particularly happy with his life there, but clearly his choice to go to a proper school hadn't been a good one. Pulling the handle to door number three, he opened to see if it contained whatever he supposed to be looking for.

After Naomi told Rin she would help her find a notepad, the elevator ding and the doors flew open. Oh goodness, Rin thought, It's all coming back to me know. We're stuck in this building... with a killer.... Deciding not to worry about that right now, Rin cautiously peered out of the elevator doors and stepped into a small area leading to a hallway. She began to look around cautiously. "I really need to find a notepad...." Rin mumbled under her breath. For Rin, writing was her way of escaping reality. It allowed her to take her mind off of the present. Maybe there will be some in one of these rooms. Rin thought. Rin began to descend down the hall. Turning around she called, "Hey, Naomi, Yua, h-how about we g-go explore?" Rin smiled at the two girls and cocked her head.

Yea I'm coming!!" She said and ran over to the two, once she got behind the two, and watched as Naomi clinched her fist, [/COLOR]"Yeah! The more the merrier!" was all that came out of her mouth, her eyes widened, but she didn't say anything about it. Yua, once her entered the elevator, just watched the two talk, she wasn't sure how to respond, so she just sat down and started drumming on her legs. "[COLOR= rgb(152, 157, 160)]What's your ultimate high school level?"[/COLOR][COLOR= rgb(152, 157, 160)] Yua looked up at Rin and Naomi, "I'm a musician." She answered, and went back to drumming, "If you find a notepad, give me some paper please~" She asked to Rin. Once, Naomi started talking again, she just tuned it out, and continued to drum. Then, heard the little ding, and stood up, and walked out after the two, "Hey, Naomi, Yua, h-how about we g-go explore?"  Yua nodded, and stood on the other side of Rin and waited.[/COLOR]

Just as he started to twist, he was shocked out of the blaring voice that interrupted his very state of being. He was most certainly going to get out of this place, and be very pissed after he was done here. He was sure of it. Following Dennis as he walked to door 3, he stood a good distance beside Dennis, ready to tackle him if something were to burst out of the door. He didn't have much to live for anyways, so he thought he would make a good plot device.
