Opinion Pet Peeves

Mmmmmmmm, I have several.
Hypocrisy. This mainly stems from my older brother being an intense hypocrite, but nowadays when I see it I just get angry. I even get mad writing hypocrisies within my characters.
I also seriously can't stand misinformation or demeaning opinions about Autism, not all of us are low-functioning.
The guys in my house don't put the toilet seat down either, I don't know why but it just bothers me. It's not even the middle one either, I get mad when they don't put down the one on the top xD
Arrogance also bothers me on an entirely new level, again stemming from my older brother.
And if people interrupt me when I'm trying to talk there is literally always a passive-aggressive remark to follow.

In my seminar class freshman year (round table discussion style), one time before I even knew it I said "does the middle of my sentence mark the beginning of yours?" to someone lol, but they didn't seem to hold a grudge lol, they got better about it. I've almost said it more often to various people but stopped myself.

My main pet peeve is when someone either speaks too loudly or barely audible. It drives me insane! My second one is almost like it - barely touching. I can't handle that. This also includes barely tapping my back - either do it or don't, but do not barely do it.

I just want the whole world to go quiet when I go to bed. Completely dark. No sound of the vent. No sound of the computer. I'm a really sensitive sleeper. I hate it and my parents hate it. The only thing at home that gets away with making noise is my cat.

And when I request that everyone be quiet earlier than usual because I have to wake up especially early for something the next day and they still end up being noisy/walk around/shower/participate in other various activities that make noise. Out of a family of heavy-sleepers, I'm the one person who got screwed over; I literally wake up at the sound of an alarm in someone else's room. I know my family hates it, but I swear, it's a lot more frustrating for me than it is for everyone else. Like it makes it damn-near impossible to sleep at hotels, other peoples' houses, etc. because there aren't many people who are as sensitive to noise and light as I am.

Biting insects are a pisser that make a top peeve for me. I am not even eating things taken from animals. But biting insects will still plague me. And people smoking who don't care if their smoke reaches me or anyone. I have a lung issue though I was not a smoker, but smoke from them would be critical to my lifespan. Worst case is this guy riding his bike. He smokes while doing this !!! and he passes me where I am walking so I go on in his trail of smoke where I can't avoid it.

I also try to become better as a person, constantly, but what of those who won't ever give another chance after something from me bothered them already?

I have more, for a list, but I might just stop with these.

I should yet say it is a real peeve when any have been pushing a food on me that I really do not want to have. There are different cases of that, but it has been especially the case of mushrooms. We who do not want mushrooms in any food for us should be recognized and respected enough to not make it seem like we should be accepting of it, or even scraping mushrooms out of the meal ourselves. They should not have been in there! They will leave their taste, which we do not like.

Well, I stopped eating out, that was just one of several reasons, and I make my own food, and my meals are all very nice now, and I am happy with having them.

I can't leave out the stupid time changing with the clocks. This really cannot just be me! It must be what others seeing this thread notice. It is not serving anyone (not even the farmers as there is the myth for a claim of), but just those who get profit earlier from changing the time for everyone else with such ease. It is known that society will go along with anything. Look at us going along with taxes far more that those in Boston that threw imported tea overboard in the Boston Tea Party that ignited the American Revolution. Who are we compared with them? There is such complete trust of political leaders, people follow along like sheep. There are problems with the clock switching, there is no benefit worth the troubles with it. It was not right to let those profiting a little earlier with our loss of an hour do that, what hour we "get back" is only four 4 months before changing to then lose it.

Yes, the oppressive state is a peeve too. I think it better to manage ourselves including how we can get along with some others. We should not be with others who we can't do that with. We do not need big communities so much.
