Persona: Invoke

After finishing his lunch, Tsuna put away his bento and sketchbook before approaching Chigusa. He had never really been the type of person to go up and talk to people he didn't know, but he wanted a clear answer about this.

"That's a nice necklace you have there," Tsuna said, wanting to know how she was involved with all this and how she got the key. "Where'd you get it?"

Despite her bewilderment at being approached so out of the blue, Chigusa would soon follow his question with an answer. Could he be...? No, no, she could not jump on such a conclusion, not just yet. "A-Ah, thank you." Her smile was somewhat awkward but amiable all the same. "...I got it from someone." She was not lying, Igor had been the one to give her the key, was it not? But she would not let Tsuna get away so easily, not when he had taken the initiative. "Why do you ask?"

"Ah, no particular reason. I thought I recognized the pendant from somewhere... It's got an interesting design, that key." Tsuna replied.

Got it from someone, eh? What was that guy's name again...? Igor? Yeah, him. So Tsuna was able to confirm most of his suspicions concerning the necklace, but he wanted to ask a few more things to be sure his findings were accurate.

"Just out of curiosity, who was it that gave you the necklace? Perhaps I can get his or her name?"

...Is he playing coy? It's hard to tell. Chigusa shifted in her seat, placing her empty lunch aside and scratching her neck unconsciously. His words seemed to add up... So why was she hesitating? Or why was he just fooling around with this notion for that matter? "...Igor." No, enough. If he truly was the third one the man of the cards had mentioned, then this was it. If not, so be it. It was as simple as that. Let's just get this over with already.

"Igor... Reminds of some novel character... I think it was an English book called... Frankenstein...? Yeah, I think that's what it was. If someone in Japan is named Igor, their parents must be really something to give him that kinda name." Tsuna told Chigusa.

"But I think I know a guy by that name. Send him my regards, Miss...?" Now, all Tsuna need was her name.

Zack watches Tsuna and Chigusa from the bench, trying his best to look casual. He couldn't hear them well, but he was partially glad he couldn't. The less he could guess as to what they were talking about, the less he was tempted to somehow inject himself into the conversation.

"Hmm..."

Zack eats another mouthful of rice as he watches Tsuna and Chigusa.

Minato noticed the student that had approached Chigusa. He couldn't hear what they were talking about, but from their body language, he suspected that they were talking about the key that she was wearing as a necklace... which meant that student may know something about it. He suspected that he could possibly be the third key holder, but decided to leave the matter to Chigusa... though he'd keep an eye on the other student, just in case.

Her body moved on its own, driven to none other than exasperation. What was this? Why was he talking like this? Questions piled up, leaving the first-year in a frustrating mess. She looked into Tsuna's eyes with an intense stare, clenching her fists. Parting her lips, it was clear to those watching over them that she had enough of this bizarre exchange. But when it came down to it...nothing. Not a sound left her mouth. Instead she hanged her head down, she felt her face, ears erupting in a flushed heat. "...Nanami. Chigusa Nanami." Taking no more of this charade, she picked up her bag and lunch box, moving in awkward, stiff movements, promoting her key to dangle over and over, announcing her departure. She left the roof, far too ashamed, nervous, angry to just stay here and take more of this. She never liked confrontations for a reason... She had gotten a cold shoulder and a conversation that did not add up to anything. So far, her so called "destiny partners" did not look up to be easy to handle... If he even is one of us, that is...!

Minato noticed Chigusa's departure. She seemed to be a bit flustered, judging by how she walked off. He wondered what the other student had told her... he'd need to ask Chigusa about it later. For now, however, lunch was nearly over, and Minato got up and walked towards the door back indoors.

Zack sees Chigusa and Minato leave the roof, then glances at Tsuna. He finishes eating his lunch just before he checks his phone to see the time.

"Aye! Better get going."

Zack shoves his bento into his school bag before standing up and leaving the roof, quickly glancing back at Tsuna before walking to his class quickly.

"Chigusa... Nanami Chigusa." Tsuna told himself after she had watched her walk away. "I didn't even get to tell her my name!"

He packed up all his stuff before heading straight to class, finishing his canned coffee on the way and recycling the empty can when he had the chance.

Kotone finished up her lunch as usual and went to class, as usual. She decided that she was being overly imaginative the other day with her strange feeling, and went on with her normal school life.

"<em>I shouldn't complain, since I still have my games, anime, family, friends, house, food, actually I still have pretty much everything. Complaining would make me seem like a brat, wouldn't it? It's better to just let things be. Maybe this'll become a Slice-of-Life type anime instead?</em>"

Kotone stopped herself there because she knew that it would've been her overactive imagination from that point on.

The bell rang at long last, a notion of relief and pleasure spread across the classroom. Chigusa was quick to join in, stretching her arms before gathering her belongings across the desk. The incident of that day's lunch, though still prone to drive her to a sour mood, could only accomplish much. Just what was with him anyway? It was bad enough that Minato was anti-social, even rude to some extent... Thoughts of anxiety, doubt clouded her expression as she made her way outside, heading towards the senior classrooms in a slow pace. But he is the only one I can trust with this right now. And he did protect me...and allowed me to assure he got home safely. She had to stay positive at this point. Obstacles were meant to be faced in this journey, like Igor had said. Leaning against the wall, the pigtailed first-year awaited for Minato to follow the crowd of students from 3-B.

Minato heard the bell ring, and packed his things into his bag.

He sighed lightly, standing up, being one of the last in the class to do so, and headed towards the door. He slid between a few students, in a bit of a hurry to get out, though he didn't exactly know why... maybe his whole situation just had him on edge. He didn't even notice that he had passed by Chigusa on his way out.

Zack scratches the back of his head as he hears the bell ring. He packs up his school materials and walks out of his class, following the trail of students heading for the doors.

To him, most of the students blended together as a singular mass, with it seemingly growing as he looks from side to side at other students. As he exits the school's main doors, he looks up at the top of the school, his memory of lunch replaying in his head. Just what were those two students talking about? Why did the female student seem so uneasy when she left? What did that guy say to her?

Zack groans softly and shakes his head. He stands at the side of the gate, out of the way of the other students eager to leave. He rests his arms behind his neck as he gazes at the sky.

"Hmm...so many questions..."

Chigusa captured sight of Minato's black hair as he followed along with the other students. A muffled gasp was all before she took off, managing to catch up to him after making her way through the crowd. "Minato." Knowing only his first name, she felt somewhat awkward to address him informally, given their status as mere acquaintances. But no matter for now... She spoke in a discrete, casual tone as she addressed him, smiling. It was best to cut out with pointless chatter, as she assumed the senior could have possibly ignored her on whim. That did not stop her from accompany him outside and promptly discussing the events at the roof. "...That boy who talked to me at lunch knew about my key. Do you think...?"

"He knew about the key, huh...?" Minato said plainly, not looking Chigusa's way, but not stopping her from accompanying him. "Then he's the third key holder."

Minato was surprised at just how quickly everyone had been found. All that was left was to gather the third and then... well, he'd have to figure something out from there, though he did have an idea of what he wanted to do next.

Zack lets out a loud sigh of relaxation as he plops himself down on a bench near the gate of the school. He sleekly slides out his phone from his pocket and checks the time. He scratches his chin as he looks at his phone, now in ponder mode as he figures out what to do.

"Hrm...I could go to the shopping district for a while...maybe get something to eat from there...or maybe head straight home...but on a day like this...mmmgh..."

Zack taps his foot on the ground as he debates with himself as to what to do.

Chigusa could simply nod in response, as if Minato's was one to gave her reasurance rather than anything else. Her gaze dropped to her feet, finding herself deep in thought as she followed his lead. Now...what? Would a monster like the one the night bfore appear again? The thought brought her shivers but she did not allow it to go further. Focusing her attention back on Minato, Chigusa tilted her head at him. "...For now, we should go try and talk to him." Even if he was rather off-putting. "Are you coming?" Given the third-year's reluctance to get involved in this with her, She thoght it was wiser to ask rather than expect him to go along. But even if he does reject my idea, I'm not just going to stand by and wait for him to make a decision, now am I? The memory of how useless she had been when he fought the monster was still vivid. I'm not weak or submissive.

"I'll let you take care of it." Minato said, not eager to talk to anyone else for today. "I'm going home."

Zack groans in frustration as he clamps his hands around his head and hangs his head down. His pondering as to what to do for the day was now clearly driving him mad with annoyance. He was so frustrated that he didn't even care if a few students were giving him weird looks as they walked by.

"Mmmgh...mmh...hmmm..."

Zack exhales as he tries to calm himself down, though still not caring for if he caught people's attention for his strange behavior.

For the most part.

No surprise. But his rejection still stung, cementing Minato's lack of interest in the affairs of this whole ordeal. "...Hm. Goodbye, then." With a nod, she parted ways with him, not bothering trying to convince him to go back with his decision. She would just have to handle this on her own. Reaching the main entrance of Yasogami, Chigusa was met with the uncanny sight of a student hanging his head down with his own hands clamped around it. Concern clouded her expression, nevermind the fact she had no idea who this boy was. Was she just supposed to stand by and let him be? No, that did not sit well with her, not in the least. "...Um, are you okay? Do you need me to call the nurse?" Approaching him, she tilted her head, reaching out to him with a soft voice. He was clearly not okay but what else would she say at this point?

"Huh?"

Zack looks back up and looks at Chigusa. It was at this moment that he realized how loud he must've been to have attracted the concern of someone else. He makes an embarrassed blush and chuckles out an awkward laugh. He rubs the back of his head as he sits up straight.

"Uh, nah, I'm alright. I was just scratching my head as to what to do today other than go straight home, eh heh..."

Zack makes a small, shy smile as he calms down.

"Well, um, hello. My name's Zack. What's yours? I mean, if you don't mind me asking, of course."

Chigusa resisted the urge to tilt her head to the side in confussion, not wanting to give away how she was lacking in understanding his situation. Instead, she nodded  her head. "Oh, sorry for interrupting you...?" She mustered a smile, hoping to not contribute to make this awkward for him. Yes, perhaps she should have not stick her nose in someone's business. But if I just left him alone....no, I couldn't do that in good conscience! Her train of thought was cut short, as the boy by the name of Zack posed her a question. A foreign name...well, he does look foreign. But his Japanese is flawless...I think! "No, no, not at all!" She paused, offering him a polite smile. She felt somewhat relieved to meet someone actually easy to speak with for a change. "I'm Chigusa. Nanami Chigusa. Hello to you too, Zack." Well, he had given her his first name, no?

Zack smiled a little wider, waving his hand at Chigusa's question.

"Ah, don't worry about it. If anything, I should be the one saying sorry since, well, you know."

Zack leans back a little as he sits, his hands planted on the bench and his legs crossed together as a result of feeling relaxed.

"Nanami Chigusa? That's a really nice name. Glad to meet ya!"

Zack tilts his head from side to side before continuing speaking. He refrained from asking her about what happened back on the roof during lunch, much to the dismay of his curious brain. The last thing he wanted was to make it seem like he was nosy.

"So um, yeah, I'm really sorry if I was acting weird before. I guess I forgot that I was in public for a few seconds..."
