Reizou Asagao

_____

5 minutes before class

Rei hummed as he fidgeted slightly in his chair. Had anyone been watching, he would have seemed anxious, and that would have been an accurate guess. Reizou needed to talk to someone, and he had to do it now. These thoughts of dreams were beginning to get to him, and he really just wanted to put the whole matter to rest, whether that meant finding the answer, or just another question to ask. One way or another, he was ready to have that discussion he promised.

Standing up, Rei hurried out of class to look for Diana. He started by checking the nearby classrooms, with the backup plan laid out to ask other students in the athletics department where she might be...eventually, one of her teammates was able to point Rei to Class 2-A. He walked up to the door, and spotted the blonde runner at her desk. Slipping in quietly, he walked up to her desk and offered a smile.

"Well, hello again. "

At sometime, Diana mustve passed out. She remembers the classroom spinning into a ball of nothingness, like a hallucination, but she was asleep. The dream wasnt anything special. Just her in a black void, spinning and laughing. It was fun. Entertaining. Better than class. Thats when she was yanked out of the odd dream and frightened by a familiar voice.

"Well, hello again."

Her face spun to see who it was, her hair following shortly after. That boy. Rei the Red. She met his smile with another. "Hello to you too." She was still half asleep, so it was a calm and quiet voice. Unlike her carrying, energetic voice when she was awake. She noticed and took in all of his features again. Red eyes, red hair, strikingly hansom smile, and that adorable nose. His eyes were her favorite feature, as cliche as it sounds.

"What happend to waiting till lunch?" She said with a slightly sarcastic voice. She chuckled and laid her head back down with her eyes still watching him.

Rei laughed as Diana laid her head back down, and knelt to maintain level eye contact. Her voice lacked some of the energy it had earlier, but it was more soothing. Reizou couldn't help but to smile a bit bigger.

"Well, would you believe me if I said I just couldn't wait to see you again? After all, we didn't get to talk nearly as much as I would have liked."

Suddenly, Rei felt an unnatural rumble in his pants, and reached for the phone in his pocket. The message it delivered was quite clear:

GET TO CLASS ALREADY!!!

Rei laughed quietly at his own preset message, and pushed the phone back into its home at his side. He then stood, and offered a hand to Diana.

"Maybe we could continue this on the roof?" He whispered, hoping none of the other students heard, or more reasonably, didn't rat the two of them out for trying to skip.

Diana rubbed her eyes to get a better view and because they felt odd from the sleep. He now was knelt in front of her and meeting her eyes, which she blushed too. So courteous.

"Well, would you believe me if I said I just couldn't wait to see you again? After all, we didn't get to talk nearly asuch as I would have liked."

Her face quickly took on a deep, very noticeable tinge of red. 'What is it about this guy that makes me so nervous? Its definately not JUST his looks. Maybe his confidence? .... i dont know.'

Her hands fiddled with her elbows as he reached into his pocket. Just a text. He then stood up and held his hand out and asked if she would like to continue this on the roof, which set her face ablaze once more.

She took his hand and got out of her desk, ignoring the eyes of classmates. "i think that would be best" she whispered, silently cursing her voice for not returning yet.

The Bell

Time for class to begin, the bell is just moments from ringing. It will ring in about ten seconds from now, students almost all in their seats now, or at least in the classroom waiting for said bell. However, that bell never comes. Teachers never walk in. The tension borne by such absence of the bell and of teachers was thick, and it could easily be felt in the air. Doors and windows locked, or at least mentally they were as nobody left the room. Suddenly, the PA system came on, and the principal easily heard from it. "Ehem... As you may all be aware, the teachers have yet to show up in the classrooms. Do not panic though, as nothing bad has happened to them. However, I would like to request these following students come down to the principal's office right now."

Clearing his throat once more, the principal proceeded to the list of names. "Hugh Mann, Esther River, Daiya Ishiki, Ezla Steele, Takeji Hatakane, Setsuro Hayate, Makoto Fujiwara, Kyra Hatakane, Kazuto Aru, Honoka Hashimoto, Reizou Asagao, Yuzuki Hasegawa, Ren'ai Shikijou, Diana Montegrew, Ayumu Sakamoto, Yua Nanami, and Emile Durvhast. Those seventeen students, please come to the principal's office immediately. For the rest of the students, class is postponed. You may leave your seats and classrooms for the time being, though you're not to leave the school grounds." With that, the PA shut off, the principal finished with his quick announcement. With that, some students began getting up and moving about, some stayed at their desks in silence, and some began chatting with one another inside the classroom.

A Realm + Tokyo's Weather

Twenty-one souls- There were twenty-one souls sleeping in the depths of this realm. There was room for another twenty-one, the door about to open for a handful that were chosen; six, to be exact. The weather in Tokyo slowly went from calm, sunny, and lightly windy, to dark and cloudy, with light rain and the air barely moving. The rain was warm, the air cool but not cold. The weather was unexpectedly early, and rain was becoming a bit heavier and heavier. This was expected be tomorrow, though clearly a day early. There was also the fact the weather didn't quite fit the season, though it wasn't really all too unusual in that aspect. It still left weather experts a little on the confused side though, as the conditions were completely off yet the weather was still predicted as rain by themselves.

Please forgive me for being a bit late on this. Hopefully now that I'm actually back and everything, this will pick back up from its slow pace. Do know you're not required to go to the principal's office as per thing, but if you don't, you're guaranteed to wind up there anyway (unless you're like Hugh, stuck in another realm xD ). Also, this acts as a sort of 'who's still there', as those who don't post within the next week will be considered inactive and thus removed from the list of active characters.

As Reizou stood in class with Diana, about to leave, the P.A. system turned on. It was followed by the principal's voice addressing the students.

"Ehem... As you may all be aware, the teachers have yet to show up in the classrooms. Do not panic though, as nothing bad has happened to them."

Looking around quickly, Rei noted that, indeed, the teacher wasn't yet in the classroom. He had chalked it up to it being early, but apparently, there was more to it than that...

The principal continued:

"However, I would like to request these following students come down to the principal's office right now..."

He then began to run off a list of 17 students, including Diana and himself. A few students turned towards the pair, the assumptions probably building up by the second. Okay, his day was really turning out weird. But Rei decided to roll with the punches as they came. Turning to Diana again, Reizou smiled slightly, rubbing the back of his head with his free hand, the other still holding Diana's.

"Uhm...I guess that talk will have to be done on the way to the office. I hope you don't mind." He said, laughing nervously. If this were a fictional world, he would probably have sweatdrops appearing on his temple...

So, lets imagine that they live in a fictional world, for the moment.

"Admit it, you once fell for me right? Ayane said so to me before". Ren'ai said.

Setsuro sniffed dismissively.

"Ayane doesn't know what she's talking about." She evaded. "And that was two years ago now."

She felt a splash of water on her cheek. She looked up into the sky and saw dark clouds starting to rain.

"Wow, that was sudden. It was such a nice day, too."

Then with a squeal the school PA system burst into life. Setsuro heard her name and Ren's among the principle's list. She stood and hurried towards the fire-escape, pausing once she was out of the rain to wait for Ren'ai.

"You know what that was about?" She called over to Ren, before shrugging. "Anyway, I guess we'd better head over there. Best not be late for a meeting with the principle."

Ren'ai laughe, laughed at the fact that Setsuro quickly dismiss the moves that he made to her. He sat, and shook his head. "Well, it's true that it was two years ago. Time flies, huh.." Ren'ai didn't realize that the sky slowly changed, from a clear sky, and it slowly became dark and cloudy. It was until Setsuro noted that it was raining. Ren'ai looked up and saw the cloud. Suddenly he felt uneasiness inside of him. "Well, it sure is a shame. It was a really nice day." What is this feeling....It must be my imagination...

They then heard the principal spoke through the PA system. About how there was no teacher coming and such. Both of them wouldn't know anyway, since they planned to skip first two classes anyway. But, just then, he heard that some students were called to the principal office. .....Setsuro Hayate.....Ren'ai Shikijou.... Both of their name were mentoned, along with other names. He noticed that some of them were in fact in third year. Ren'ai shrugged at Setsuro, when she asked if he knew anything about this. "Probably that old geezer want to remind us not to cut classes again. Meh, who knows..." Ren'ai then stood up and reach his hand to Setsuro "Here, need a help? I can see your underwear if you stand up by yourself, you know.."

Esther was looking around for the teachers in the school. She was very lost. The classes and the school layout was very new to her. She sweatdropped a little and softly sighed. ' I am already late for class... and the teachers are no where to be seen... and there is no one in the hallway...' she scratched the back of her head and sighed " well... things will work out in the end she muttered. She was happy to get her sister to her school safely.

'I can't just wonder the schoil aimlessly though...' at that moment she heard the announcement and blinked 'great...' she thought and stsrted walking again 'where is the the principal office?...' she thought and then stopped ' wait... I am new... so why am I called?' She thought for a few minutes and then shrugged 'will find out... once I find it...' she stsrted walking again.

@Anyone

Emile had just made it into the classroom and started his daily argument with the teacher about his hat, more or less his refusal of taking off the hat. The argument would end the way it always ended, the teacher saying something about it being the rules, Emile saying "Screw the rules, I have money," as a joke, they both smile and Emile keeps his hat. Of course this was interrupted by the principle calling for him and about sixteen other people to his office. What is with today? Emile thought to himself, first his dreams took a strange turn, and now his routine conversation was being interrupted...if his third routine ritual was altered he'd think it was some sort of spirit messing with him, of course he'd be the first to try and befriend the thing.

Emile sighed and adjusted the brim of his hat and walked to the principle's office, he wasn't sure what this was about...one of his dozens of rule infringements maybe? Perhaps it was a cease and desist for his constant beatdowns on the school delinquents for the fun of it....His damn hat? He sighed again and stood outside the principle's office and waited for someone else to go in first, mainly because the more people he had around him, the less the principle would focus on him.

[Yuzuki Hasegawa]

[Tokyo - Normal School Route]

@ScytheMeister7

"I'd...really like to run to school with you, Hasegawa-san."

Ezla smiled lightly after giving a slightly stammered reply, while projecting a hint of shyness in her gestures. On the other hand, Yuzuki was surprised that Ezla actually accepted her invitation. She expected that the girl with cracked spectacles would just walk away. Nevertheless, Yuzuki felt flattered. She turned to Ezla, and gave a vibrant smile before responding.

"Very well then!" She looked at Ezla with an energetic pose. "Let us get going before the gate closes!"

With that, Yuzuki and the other began her run to the school...

[Tokyo - The School]

The main road which directly leads to the school was largely empty, save for a few passerbys. From a few distances away from the main gate of the school, one can see that there are two figures running straight for the school's main gate. The school bell still not rung yet, or is it that it has been rung and they just missed it? She could see that the main gate was getting closed. She tried to increase her speed, but with her limited stamina and the school bag she was carrying, it was quite hard.

"Waaaaaaaaitttt fooooor usss!!"

Yuzuki instinctively screamed. Fortunately, she managed to reach the gate, and quickly slipped through the little remaining gap of the closing gate. Once she passed the gate, Yuzuki immediately stopped, before began to regain her breath. She was clearly exhausted, as she bent down and panted heavily. Sweats were dropped from her face and fringes. The security guard who was closing the gate just now, gave a short, but noticeable "Hmph" to Yuzuki and Ezla, before returning to his guard post. After regaining some of her breath, Yuzuki turned to Ezla.

"Phew..." She lets out a sigh of relief. "That... that was close."

Then, at this moment, Yuzuki felt the air was becoming cooler, the skies darkened. She was surprised with the sudden turn of the weather, signifying that it will be raining soon. It was sunny earlier on before the two started their run to the school.

"Alright..." She straightened herself, before looking into Ezla with her usual posture. "Let's get going then."

From there, Yuzuki entered the school compound with Ezla. While going halfway to their classes, Yuzuki checked her time once again. They are clearly late for their first class. On the journey, Yuzuki tried to reassure Ezla that everything is okay.

"Don't worry. Just let me do the talking when we enter the class."

Halfway through their walk to their classroom, the PA system suddenly comes to life. Yuzuki stopped, trying to listen what the announcement is about. It was the Principal himself, saying that the teachers have yet to show up to the classrooms, while asking the students to remain calm and not to panic. The Principal then continued on, requesting seventeen students to visit the Principal's Office. After clearing his throat, he proceeded to call out the names of the seventeen students.

"What's happening today..."

At first, Yuzuki heard Ezla's name being called by the Principal, which made her stared at Ezla worryingly. As the old man continued to call out the names, Yuzuki's name was in the list as well. The Principal continued to call out more names, before ending the announcement urging the students to visit the Principal Office as soon as possible. Yuzuki shrugged her shoulders at Ezla.

"Oh well. I really wonder why we got summoned to the Principal's Office." She sighed in between. "Perhaps we did something nice last few weeks ago and he wants to award us?" She chuckled, kicking off a bad joke. "Anyway, I guess we shouldn't keep the old man waiting then."

@Evergreen98

Yuzuki walked towards the direction of the Principal's Office. Then, an orange haired girl (Esther) can be seen walking aimlessly in the school hallways, as if she was lost. Curious, Yuzuki approached the orange haired girl.

"May I help you?"

She asked at the foreign looking girl, kicking off the interaction in a gentle manner.

((Her hair is orange? I thought it her hair was peach xD ))

-----

Esther sighed a little, she was so lost. 'This school is so big..." she softly sighed as she kept walking in the empty halls of the school. She wondered how her sister was doing at her school and hoped she having a good time.

A few minutes later she heard a voice behind her and turned around to see a girl with red hair asking her if she can help her. She turned around and nodded "... I got called to the principal's office... and this is my first day at this school... so... I am lost.." she explained to the red head with a soft sigh.

@Emiya Shin

She let her face fall into an analytical frown as she tilted her head up towards the PA as it came on. She noticed that the teacher hadnt come in yet which was a bit unsual.

"However, I would like to request these following students come down to the principal's office right now..."

She listened as a list of students was named off. 'So ma-' Her thoughts were cut off by both her name and Rei's being called off

'What did you do? you stole that one thing from the caff, but that was just a taco, no biggy. oh no what if they throw you off the track team? oh gods, can today get any weirder!'

She looked to Rei and listened to his comment intently. Im sure it wouldnt be to hard to finish a conversation to the office.

"Yeah thatll be easy enough!" she smiled and stretched. "well, lets get goin!" She completely ignored the other students and pulled Rei and her out the door and into the hall that was slightly dim, and deserted.

Rei followed behind Diana, and started to notice that the halls were getting kind of dark, compared to earlier. He thought his eyes might be adjusting to the light, until he saw all of the rain outside.

'That's weird...' He thought. 'It wasn't supposed to rain until tomorrow evening. Oh well. I guess tomorrow will be dry, then.'

Rei shrugged his shoulders at the thought, and noticed he was still holding Diana's hand. He blushed slightly, but recomposed himself, and cleared his throat.

"So, about that talk...the Black Garden you asked about? I don't know if I've ever actually been there before, but...I did see it in a dream. Last night..."

@Rentition

The rain was pelting the windows lightly. Like a million uneven metronomes. It was odd, seeing it today when it was supposed to be tomorrow. But hey, mother natures a bitch sometimes. She blushed as she realized she was still holding Rei's hand and dropped it then thrusted her hands against her legs. She look at him out of the corner of her eye, he was blushing slightly! 'AW YOUR SO CUTE!' she screamed in her head and kinda grinned to herself. Her giddyness and delight were taken aback by his next statement though.

"So, about that talk...the Black Garden you asked about? I don't know if I've ever actually been there before, but...I did see it in a dream. Last night..."

..... a dream. The dream. The exact same one she had had. No, it must be a mistake. He just saw it in a dream. Dosn't mean he saw a black void of nothingness. Of lonesome and dread and silent wrath and loneliness. Something despicable and destructive against everything she believed in life. No, cant be the same void. Cant be the same DREAM.

"HA!" she laughed, kinda forcefully. "Thats funny! i had seen it in a dream too, must be on a commercial or something." She looked away and looked around, just not meeting his eyes. 'Please say nothing of a black void! PLEASE!' she silently prayed.

Reizou noticed how nervous Diana appeared to be, and he could understand it, completely. He had just gone through the exact same thing earlier, shortly after they'd first met. 'We can't have had the same dream! We must be confused with something else!"

But it was the fact that Diana acted this way as well that made Rei feel...better, honestly. This wasn't just something he was going through alone, and that made it easier to talk about.

Was this what therapy was like?

"Well, I don't remember anything like that on television, but...it was really strange. There was a gate, with walls that went on forever. And a darkness..."

Rei shivered slightly, remembering the abyss hiding within those walls. He still didn't know what else to say about it. It was foreboding, but it hadn't given him a sense of dread...but maybe Reizou just hadnt panicked enough, at the time.

"I don't know what it was all about, but...it felt realer than any dream I'd ever had before. And I feel like its just the beginning of...something... He he, this is honestly the most worrying I've ever done before!"

She stroked her neck and watched what rei was saying. He was quiet and seemed a bit nervous. something was definitely disrupting his usual self. Then he spoke of the dream. The gate......'Oh gods, no....' never ending walls..'the same.....' and a darkness....'....'

She stopped dead in her tracks and looked at him, square in the eyes. How could he have the same dream, who was he, who was he to HER, why had they been called along with all those other students, what is she missing? All these questions bounced around in her head, she was actually quite intelligent. Favoring her emotions more than her brain though is where she gets her personality from.

"that is an improbability. Two people having the exact same dream, its not possible. Something is always different. Its how our brain works. So how is it possible that we can have the same dream? then just so happen to bump into each other that very morning? THEN be called to the office?" she spouted out in rapid succession.

'GOD THIS IS SO ANNOYING!' she thought to herself.

A... Principal...?

Being two of the only three who would manage arrive, Kyra and Takeji came up with the group just outside the principal's office. "Only one... Only one other showed...?" Takeji questioned quietly, sort of monotonous. "The less people I have to actually pay attention to, the better, I suppose..." Takeji added in under his breath, walking over to the door of the principal's office and slowly pushing it open. On the other side, was a darkened room with the only lighting being from the small amount of light that peeked through the darkened sky and in through the windows.

"Welcome," the principal said from the seat currently facing away from the students, the man currently blocked from view by said chair as he gazed out the window. "Only the three of you are here, it seems." The man stated, still gazing out the window at the rain. "Feel free to sit anywhere or stand," he said referring to the sixteen chairs that lined the wall of the doorway, as well as turned to line against the two side walls with a small table in both corners where the chairs come to said corners.

Rather than taking one of the seats lined along the walls, Takeji stood right in front of the desk the principal sat in, Kyra naturally by his side but without a clue as to what's going on. "So tell me, Takeji. How was that dream of yours last night...? In fact, all three of you, feel free to answer the question," the principal said calmly, pretty much hinting that the three had shared the same dream and that he knew what the dream was. "So you know about that 'dream', principal... I was wondering why you gave the call for me to come alongside other people... Of course, only me, Kyra, and one other showed..." Takeji stated, as though he knew something. What he may know though, Kyra herself was also left to guess as not even Kyra knew anything.

@ScytheMeister7 @Nobody

Do excuse any mistakes I may have made in this post as I was sort of in a hurry due to being sidetracked various times throughout the day...

"Well, I'm curious about all of that, too, but we shouldn't let it...drive us...crazy."

Rei turned his eyes away from Diana after noticing the person standing nearby. He couldn't make out their face. Actually, he couldn't see any defining features on them besides the the umbrella they carried in their hand.

"Uhm, Diana...you see the person standing there too, don't you?" Rei asked, hoping he hadn't lost his mind today. It was a really bad time for that...

"Pronounceyour deepest desires, and your greatest fears." The figure said, their voice almost soothing to him, causing a sense of trust in Rei's heart. He didn't know why, but despite the strangeness of this moment, and the question being asked of him, he felt he could answer the figure truthfully, without fear. It was a somewhat new feeling for him...

@Rentition

Hearing Rei say he is curious about that too was a relief. It calmed her nerves enough to allow her regain her composure. She smiled up to him but then noticed his eyes were distracted, something to her left. Rather, someone. She followed his eyes as he asked his question and was frightened to see a shadowy figure. Something was off about him. There were no physical features besides the umbrella. But she noticed it was a very male build, no protruding mounds on his chest. 'What is a guy doing here in the middle of the hall?' Her eyes narrowed.

"Pronounce your deepest desires, and your greatest fears." The figure said. Her assumption was most certainly correct, a very male, soothing voice. Like he new exactly how to say things. She felt like she could trust this person, this being, with anything. She should tell him...... she should let him know..... but infront of Rei?.. No, wait. There was something wrong with this picture. How could she tell a stranger these things?! She defied this!

"Who are you?" she called out to the person. There was definitely something going on here, and she was intent on finding out what it was.
