Khara Daelynn ~ Equator Strip, Neon Haven
While the girl was staring down the giant possibly-mechanical worm, she distinctly felt several presences appear. She risked a look around, and saw a little furry yellow thing and a larger yellow plastic thing right next to the littler rodent. The plastic imitation of a humanoid thing raised one of its "hands" and fired some sort of explosion at the worm. So she wouldn't have to worry about those two attacking her just yet- they realized the worm was of utmost importance in the current moment. But it was hesitating for a fraction of a moment, so Khara stole further glances around.
She saw a wolf, stalking towards a man in odd blue chainmail-type armor. Or maybe they were solid plates. It was hard to tell, he was quite a ways away. The wolf seemed injured, however, white fur stained red with blood. As the kitsune was about to call the impromptu quintet settled, a giant slab of metal fell from the side, slamming into a sand dune and sliding across the surface before coming to a stop. So, at least one more. From wherever that thing came from. A sextet.
The kitsune chuckled. It was a terrible joke, but Khara seemed to have enjoyed it nonetheless. She ignored the other people all around her, and focused on the worm in front of her. As soon as she had taken the thing off-guard, she would be able to infect it and bring it totally under her control. It would then be a simple matter of hiding the damn thing from the others, who were undoubtedly about to kill it in self defense. It was understandable, but this was an opportunity she dreaded to miss.
