Percabeth

Annabeth pressed close to Percy, resting her hand on his chest, weaving the other past her waist to lace her fingers with Percy's. She closed her eyes and relaxed.

Many hours later, Percy was woken by a scream. He sat up in the bed but didn't hear anything else.

Annabeth was gone.

At some point in the night she'd removed herself from Percy's grasp due to sleeplessness and needing to use the bathroom. She had come back and started working on her blueprints in the light if Percy's desktop lamp.

She had heard something and had taken Percy's pen-sword for protection, and she'd been cornered by two Cyclops, and Percy's pen skittered off to the side.

The only reason she had screamed was because one of the Cyclops had managed a blow to her stomach with a spear, and it had hurt like Hell; she had no chance now, not being injured.

Percy cursed like a sailor and ran to Annabeth. He picked up Riptide and faced the monsters, protecting Annabeth from more harm. As on Cyclops ran at him, Percy jumped up and cut through his neck, killing him. Now it was one on one. Percy ran and slid under him, coming up behind and stabbing him throughthe gut. The Cyclops disintegrated and Percy dropped Riptide, running to where Annabeth lay.

"Hey Wise Girl. Here, have som Ambrosia. " he choked out, pulling on of the squares from his pocket. He lsid her head in his lap. "Don't you leave me Wise Girl..." he cried.

Annabeth managed to eat the small square, grey eyes glazed over with pain.

But the ambrosia only did so much. She was still left with the pain and some of the wound, which had more or less become a flesh wound rather than an internal one.

Annabeth buried her fingers in Percy's hair as the others came running.

Piper looked at Annabeth, eyes wide. "Anna, what happened?" She whispered.

Jason was right behind Piper, and stared down at them.

"Leo. I want to know how the hell monsters got on this ship. I want more protection." Percy growled out keeping Annabeth's head in his lap and leaning over her. He kisses her nose snd cheeks. "You promised forever Wise Girl. Please pull through." He whispered, sea-green eyes locked on her grey ones. "Piper, I need a first aid kit. Now." He ordered, never removing his gaze from the injured daughter of Athena.

Piper raced off to the upper deck to grab the first-aid kit there, and was soon back with it. She handed it to Percy, eyes wide as she looked down at Annabeth.

Annabeth smiled weakly up at Percy, through her pain. "I'm not going anywhere, Seaweed Brain." She murmured.

Percy chuckled sadly. "You better not. Your mom would kill me!" He teased, unrolling some bandages. He lifted her shirt up and cleaned the blood away. He then wrapped her up. Concentrating, he pulled some ocean water from below and used it up o further heal Annabeth.

"Lets get you to bed so you can rest up." He picked her up carefully, trying not to jostle her too much. He headed down and laid her on their bed and covered her.

"Sorry! Sorry!" Percy mumbled. He kissed her cheek. "Rest up and I'll come back to check on you later." He smiled.

Percy sat down next to het immediately. "Do you want me to stay?" He asked, just ad quite. Hr held her hand snd kissed the her palm.

Annabeth nodded tightly as she closed her eyes, grabbing his hand and weaving her fingers between Percy's.

Percy smiled softly and laid beside her, carefully pulling her into his arms and tangeling their legs together. "I love you" he whispered into her hair, placing a kiss there.

Annabeth smiled and closed her eyes, hands resting against his chest. "I love you too." She whispered softly, burying her face against his neck.

Percy lay awake until Annabeth was asleep. Once she was, he slowly slipped out of the bed, not waking her and went up on deck. He found Leo and grabbed a hold of his shirt, shoving him up against the side of the ship.

"How the hell did those monsters get on here. Tell me." He growled in Leo's face, rage and worry lighting a fire in his eyes. Eyes that still had the haunted look of Tartarus in them.

Leo looked down at Percy, eyes wide. "I-I don't know, man! He was useless against the son if Poseidon, and his heart pounded.

"Find out. and fix it. If anything happens to Annabeth, I'm holding you accountable, you hear me?" He growled, letting go of the dark skinned boy. He sneered and stalked off, brooding.

Percy stood at the stern of the ship, biting his lip and glaring down at Greece. He wanted to know how those cyclops got on board and why they went after Annabeth. He wasn't going to learn anything in the sky.

He called to Jason. "Keep Annabeth safe and don't let her come after me. I'll be back by sundown." With that, he jumped over the side and dived toward the water. It caught his and he rode a wave to shore.

Jason nodded slightly and sighed, going to Percy's room and sitting in the chair, watching over Annabeth as she slept.
