Style: Comfort over style has always been his motto. He often is spotted wearing casual streetwear, with winter being his favourite season as it allows him to gather up his oversized hooded jumpers and wear them without overheating. Asher is also one to keep an eye on the price tag, never spending anything over $10 on a new shirt. If there was one way to this man's heart, it would be through a discount bin or sales rack.

Modifications: Asher has four tattoos. The first is a faded moustache tattoo on his right inner index finger. The second is the word β€œrebel” on the back of his lower neck. HISTORY

Life before college: Born in Nashville, Tennessee, Asher found the first six years of his life constantly moving homes. His father was in his early years in the police force and often switched to different stations and units. By the time Asher was seven, they had moved ten times until they had finally settled down in Mississippi. Their settling down was not because of his father finally settling down with his work placement, but rather due to the arrival of the youngest Choi child, Amery.

It was never in his parents’ ideals to suddenly stop moving around from town to town, but rather they had no choice but to find their one location. For a few months after giving birth, Amery began to show signs of not reaching his developmental milestones. After multiple doctor visits and trips to the hospital for tests, it had been officially declared that Amery had cerebral palsy.

Asher grew resentful towards his little brother, feeling as if he had lost the family he knew. All attention was on Amery now. There was no time for Asher. Hatred and envy only continued to flourish as his brother was pampered with gifts and one-on-one time that Asher craved dearly. It was only when Amery started to attend school that Asher’s heart started to soften towards him. Amery would often cry about the other children at school making fun of him, and how difficult it was to manoeuvre around the school independently with his wheelchair. He was always having to rely on assistance rather than being able and capable of completing tasks by himself like any other child.

After seeing his brother in a different light, Asher grew protective over him. Their bond flourished and by the time Asher was graduating high school, they were practically inseparable. So, when it came time for him to move on to college, Asher had second thoughts and doubts. He didn’t want to leave Amery and was scared that the boy would be heartbroken. But it was quite the opposite; Amery told Asher to go, and implored him to continue studying. Amery was and still is the number one reason to why Asher remains at college and is continuing to pursue his studies.

Life during college: No one tells you that the college romance experience was fake. Growing up, watching all these television shows and movies of how sweethearts who find themselves in college and live happily ever after, had completely brainwashed Asher. He was, sadly, one of those types of people who couldn’t just get over a girl. When he fell for someone, he would fall hard. And that’s exactly what happened.

Asher fell for [ retracted ], or as he liked to describe her the girl of his dreams. Soon after meeting, he was bold enough to ask her out on a date. Then shortly after that, was bold enough to ask her to be his girlfriend. They outlasted most college relationships on campus, reaching almost a complete twelve-month run. She was the first girl he had ever confessed his love to, and the one to take his virginity. So it came to such a shock when news began to spread around that they had broken up.

No one really knows what happened. Only Asher and [ retracted ]. But if you ask anyone from campus, Asher was heartbroken from the split. And still is despite it being so long ago.

Plans after college: In all honesty, Asher is still trying to navigate his future, where he wants to be and how he wants to live his life. He doesn’t like the idea of being constrained to one occupation for the rest of his life but rather would like to work in various fields that help with disability support and the enhancement and improvement of programs and tools for the disabled community.

Thoughts on Greek life: As a social butterfly, Asher is flourishing in the Greek lifestyle. While he does tend to struggle to academically keep up from time to time, there is nothing more encouraging and memorable than spending some of the most important years of your life surrounded by people who essentially become your family.
