Well, I was thinking of going Beastmaster. It's third party, but think of it as a ranger/barbarian hybrid. No raging, but I can talk to animals! It's a bit powerful in the beginning imo, so I did add a few personal nerfs (no starting gold beyond a weapon and outfit and illiterate).

Third party stuff is fine. As long as it's been published, I'll trust it. I like those nerfs too. Sounds like a fun start.

Any races that are off limits?

If it's been published and you can point me to the source, you can use it.
As a personal note, I also like play by post. My schedule is kind of unpredictable.


We could use a Skype or Curse Voice group for OOC chatter though.

Also, just realized. If I can talk to animals... is controlling animals a Diplomacy check or a Handle Animals check? O.o

Can't say I know what the official ruling on that is. But personally, I'd say it's a Handle Animal check, plus an in-character conversation with the animal in question.

I'm open to Traits if everyone agrees to use them. If so, start with two Traits and one Flaw.
