"Ok, great! That sounds good!" Trey was so happy to hear her say yes. It wasn't often that he would ask a girl out to do anything. Not that it was a bad thing, though. He just wanted to not be so so different from most guys his age and have a girlfriend or at least somebody to chill with. He walks over to his seat and sits down. (The big screen on the wall comes on and explains all the basics of the class and how the school works.) ---OOC Post: Check out the post I put up on either page 6 or 7 that was really long, and near the bottom of the page. It explains the basics of how the school works, just incase you guys didn't catch it! )


The whole explanation took up the whole first half hour of class.They also paired us up into 3 groups of 6, since there were only like 18 people in the class. It was Trey, Zoey, Jesse, Mika, Charlotte, and Akako. It was that 'self-expression' time that they called, and Zoey and Jesse were the only two 'veterans' at this school to help us start it. "So, Zoey? For this whole self-expression time thing, can we really express ourselves anyway we want to?" It sounded like fun, but the only thing that was nerve-wrecking was the fact that a lot people claimed that it was hard work to the top grade out of it. Maybe if he could express himself in anyway, maybe he could perform.....

Zoey looked up from a piece of paper and smiled at Trey "well yeah, why wouldn't we be able to?!" she laughed raising an eyebrow smiling widely. "I mean we need to be ourselves, In order to do what we want" she said looking at him chuckling. She could tell that Trey was excited for the Auditions which made her feel good.

Trey smirked back at Zoey. "Ok, well I guess I'll go first....". He nervously chuckled at everyone. It wasn't that he was afraid to perform, because he wasn't. But every artist that performs, no matter how talented they are, always get a little nervous performing in front of a new crowd, not knowing how they will react. So he took out his iPod, plugged via aux extension, and played a n in instrumental of one of his favorite songs. "Mic check! 1-2.... 1-2.....". He thought to himself,"Ok, this is it.... ready.... Go!"


Then he began to sing.....

Zoey laughed and smiled "Good luck" she said quietly waiting for the the music to play to see if he actually got some talent. She listened and smiled he did it was amazing...well he was amazing. She looked over by the curtains there was alot of people which made her feel sick in her stomach but she had nothing to be worried about.

After he was done, Trey was so surprised by everybody's reaction. (About 5 seconds of silence, until a round of applause was heard.). "Wow. Thanks everyone! You were a great audience!". Trey winked his right eye and pointed his finger at Zoey before walking off stage. He walked back over confidently towards his group. "So guys, what'd out think?". He was now totally pumped up for the contest, knowing that if this small group of people like him THAT much, then the auditions should be a knockout.

Zoey smiled widely and jumped excitedly "you did amazing!" she exclaimed clapping her hands feeling that he is probably one of the best in the school. "That is a huge crowd im surprised you could pull it off that amazingly " she smiled patting his back.

Trey felt really good about himself now. He knew for sure that he would do a good job with the auditions now. "Well, thank you, Zoey!l. Trey smiled back at her. "So, who's next?". Trey looked at Zoey, hoping that she would perform next. "What about you, Zoey? I'm really interested in what you can put forward....". He was interested in her now, that it didn't even make sense. Held was just waiting for her to say something.

Zoey smiled and nodded "no problem" she sputters looking around the area folding her arms across her chest. She walked forward there wasn't a lot of people besides auditions were in a couple of days anyway. The music began to play and she was off.

Akako clapped after both of their performances. While she was not familiar with the style of music that Trey did, nor was she with Zoey's. She remembered hearing someone call that music hip-hop but, she wasn't sure. She stood up and didn't see anyone else going up to sing.


"May I go next?"


She had an idea of what she would sing but, the only songs she knew were in Japanese. She waited for the okay to go.

"Great Job, Zoey! That was an awesome performance!". He was so Excited for her, he was sure that she would get for in the competition, too. He turned his head to Akako. "Yeah, sure! It seems like nobody else is willing to go right now, so yeah. Go ahead!". Trey was a little intrigued by this performance, as he knew that with Akako being a foreign student, she would have something totally unique setup to perform.

Zoey smiled and nodded "thank you" she said noticing a girl she had never met before and it was really interesting that she was foreign it made her excited. "Good luck!" she exclaimed at Akako smiling widely.

Akako grabbed a CD out of her bag.


"I recorded the back up track to some songs I wrote since I could not bring my friends over here with me. This is my favorite song Head Bangya."


She put the cd in the CD player. There were backup singers recorded on the track. She grabbed a mic and it's stand and took the stand apart so it was just the top half. She pressed play and started her song.

After Akako was done performing, Trey was simply amazed. "Wow." He was just so amazed by how much energy and heart she put into that performance. "Wow, Akako! That was awesome! You'll definitely do good at the auditions!". With much talent that saw only on his first day in class, he realized why so many talented people didn't even make it pass the auditions. It was because of the fact that since everyone was talented, they only want the best of the most talented people here.

Akako bowed after her performance. She was little out of breath but managed to smile.


"Thank you. I was nervous about it since I only know songs that are sung in Japanese."


She knew that they most likely had no idea what she was singing about but, that didn't bother her. She put the mic stand back together, grabbed her cd and walked over to Trey.


"Your performance was very good too. Is that style of music called Hip-Hop?"


She was quite curious to learn about some new genres of music . Especially since she liked merging different genres together.

Trey was still stunned by the performances and talents that he had seen, as they were all very good. "Well, yeah. Hip-hop music is actually what Zoey and I were performing, but used different elements of it. Like what I did, I performed a hip-hop, r&b, and pop song. Zoey performed a hip-hop, electronic, kind of an alternative hip hop song. ". This gave Trey a new idea. One thing that both Trey and Zoey shared in terms of styles of music was hip hop. Both could sing, both could rap, and they loved the genre. "Hey, Zoey? What would you think about doing a rap duo for the contest?". Zoey was like an Iggy Azalea, and Trey was like T.I., which meant that they would be an unstoppable pair if they teamed up.

Zoey smiled excited "Oh my god yes!" she exclaimed as her eyes lit up with excitement "That would be amazing" she said fixing her blonde hair and adjusting her clothes. She always wanted to do a duo before but no one ever asked this was going to be awesome .
