"Scar tissue that I wish you saw... Close your eyes and I'll kiss you 'cause with the birds I'll share this lonely view..."
"...Would you prefer it the easy way? No? Well, okay, then. Don't cry..."
A varied group of teens from different backgrounds living with and/or looking to escape their current situations - dysfunctional lives characterized by abuse, drugs, grief, medical disorders, or so on - are left with no one to turn to. They find themselves seeking refuge among others with problematic histories.
Once tired of being out on the town, but not ready to return home, the troubled teens gather in a recently abandoned home on the more barren side of town ironically referred to as 'The Resort.' It's a modest ranch-style home with a living room off of a small kitchen and a hall leading to two regular bedrooms and one master bedroom toward its end with a small bathroom in the middle of the hall. For whatever reason, all furniture within the home was abandoned as well, along with just a few belongings; some pots and pans and some dry food in the pantries. Even without television, a place like this seems just short of perfect, but with its lack of other necessary amenities, the teens can only remain here for so long before having to return to their broken homes...
Here's where the sun shines...
