Fantasy Parallel World thing

Gripping his rifle Samuel pulled the bolt back send in a spent casing flying to go side. G had been sitting on the same ridge all day long. Picking off the enemy one by one. As a recon sniper it was his job to make sure the enemy never got past his location.

Growing tired he decided to switch positions with another sniper. Running behind the Rocky face in front of them. Making his way to the other sniper he tapped the man lay in down. But once the man did not get up Samuel quickly grabbed at his side. Forcing the man to roll over he could see the crusted blood on the from of his body and the ground. The man was dead. By before Samuel could react he felt as I he had been punched in the side of the head and everything went dark.

But as he tried to open his eyes again they went wide. Starring at a loft ceiling Samuel came up from the bed he was laying on in a flash. Checking himself over he was in shock. His clothes were way different. Dressed in strange padded leather pants and leather armor. Looking around the room none of it looked familiar. But before he.could understand any bit of what was going on he heard a voice from bellow speak.

The voice was scratchy, but it had a loving nature automatically tied into it. "Sam, get down here before your food gets cold!" The house smelled of grilled meat, with the heat of the room and overpowering smell, it could be assumed you were on the second floor.

The voice continued, providing an explanation in case you were too tired to remember. "Maki has been waiting patiently for nearly an hour. You better not keep her waiting too long. You know how she gets when she's angry." A few whispers followed by some laughter echo through the floor as well. In this unfamiliar scenario, they seem to be pretty familiar with you.

As the voice carried on he felt like he had heard it so many times before. Look in around Samuel found a sword and dagger on a belt resting over one of the bed posts. Grabbing it up he strapped it on and pulled the sword free before making his way cautiously to the stairs. Coming down slowly he saw a woman in what looked like a kitchen slash dining area. And another face. A girl leaning against the wall. She looked so familiar to him but he could not understand why.

Coming to the bottom of the stairs he hung the sword by his side before he spoke in a shaking voice. "W-Who are you people...hpw do you know my name..?" Sitting down on the stairs he placed a hand over his head as He felt his head start to feel like it had been split open. "W-Where am I-I?"

The girl leaning against the wall started laughing "What are you stupid? Have a weird dream or something?" She pointed at the other woman. "Your mother." She then pointed to herself "Your friend" and finally she pointed at the door. "And the door we should have been out of an hour ago. God, you're lucky I'm so patient with you. You're packed, right? For the start of our adventure..."

The lady, your mother, started laughing at how Maki explains everything to you like you're really stupid. Classic Maki. It'll be strange for her not having you around, but she's prepared for this day, for you to be like your father.

Samuel gripped the sword tight in his hand and spoke in a calm but serious tone. "I-I was just in the dessert... I was a sniper....and then I found a dead friendly and then..." Samuel stopped as he felt the head ache increase and fell forward on all fours. He could not understand any of it. He was just there and now he was in this strange place. The clothing to the wood work was old fashion. Why was he holding a sword.

Curling into a ball on the Floor he began to count and shit his eyes. "This isn't real...I just died... I was shot in the head for sure."

The other two seem completely oblivious to what you're talking about. Maki walks over and pats your back "Are you okay...? Have a fever?" She puts her hand on your forehead. "No fever..." She takes a step back. "Well, in that case, you're out of excuses. Let's hurry up and go I wanna get to Brenil before the sun goes down."

She grabs your arms and tries to get you up. "Hurry up and eat so you'll have energy. If you're still dazed, we can talk as we walk."

As she hauled him up Samuel was in a state of utter shutdown. He did not know what was going on. Where he was or who they were. But it was all so familiar to him. As they passed a mirror in the hall Samuel stopped letting her pull him. Looking into the mirror at himself his eyes went wild. Everything about him was different. His face was a whole different structure. His hair was red instead of auburn and his eyes. No longer blue but a deep hazel. His entire body was different.

Letting it sink in he went to do down at the table with Maki. Starring at his hands the scars from war were no longer there. If what they said was true there were two things he could think of that happened. First. He died and was now in heaven or he was still alive and was brain washed or sent back in time or something. Sighing heavily he could feel his throat was very dry. Picking up the glass of water by the plate for him he placed it under his nose and sniffed it. Finding no out of the ordinary smell he quickly drank the full glass before he let out a gasp. His thirst still lingered but it helped.

Turning to maki he spoke softly shaking. "I-I don't know w-where i am..."

Maki blinked a few times and put her hand against your forehead again. Her voice didn't sound concerned, she was but decided it was best not to let it show "Did you hit your head... Got amnesia? I'm sure it'll come back to you as we travel. If not, the oracle in Trident might be able to help you." She moved the plate closer to him, signaling him to eat while she tried to explain.

"You live here, in Greenstone. You've lived here since you were a baby, like me. We've been best friends since youth. So much so that we decided to leave this small town and go adventuring. Try our lucky out in the land where anything can happen. Our first stop is the Affinity stone in Brenil and probably an inn there too. Then we're going to take a detour for Trident if you're not better by then, and finally, we'll get back on track and go to the guild hall in Slevad for a few months at least. more for extra training against real monsters. I mean, how can we expect to kill dragons if we can't kill goblins?" She's seemed to have been planning this for a long time

As samuel started to eat he listened to what Mika said. But as she got to the point of killing monsters he almost chocked as the food in his mouth shot back into his throat. Coughing he quickly patted himself on the chest to slow it down. Finally having stopped it he looked her in the eyes with an expressionless face. Setting his form down Samuel slowly stood and adjusted the sword on his belt before he walked to the door without her.

The moment he opened the door he took off running. He wanted to be away from this strange place. He wanted to be alone. But the moment he left the doorway he was greeted by strangers to him but so familiar in his head. The grass around the town set him off. The way people were dressed was strange. Everything was wrong to him. Seeing a familiar hill in the distance he ran to it. Feeling much lighter on his feet he got there in no time. Sitting down he placed his.hands over his head and let out a groan. "What in God's name is happening to me.?...Is this my hell?" As he spoke he could see Mika racing up to him.

She was obviously not made for running, nearly collapsing on the hill "S-sam..." She took deep breaths in between words, hunched forwards "Sam, I don't-" She straightened up, trying to look a tad more presentable "I don't know what's up with you right now, and I can't seem to imagine it." She looks down almost disappointed.

Maki raised her head quickly after a few seconds of silence. "Y-you wanna get out of here, right? You're confused and just want to leave to where people don't know you, right?" She walked towards you, her breathing normally again. She then offered out a hand to try and help you up. "I'm your friend, you can talk to me. Let's just go to the oracle. They can help you out."

Samuel kept his hands over his face as she spoke. He had to admit what she said was true. He wanted to get away. He wanted to run as far away as his legs could take him. But he did not know where he was going. Finally letting his hands down he spoke softly. "If you take me there they will explain what had happened to me?" Even though he wanted to be alone he felt as though he could trust her.

She seemed like a very sweet girl. But he just was not sure. When he died had he taken over this life? Was he an imposter that basically just kicked the other him out the door? So many questions swirled in his head and he understood none of it. Finally using his judgement for the best he placed his hand in hers and let her help him up. "If we are going on this long journey where is our gear?"

She confidently gives a brief explanation. "The Oracle is a wise and intelligent man. He knows of all things. Surely, he can tell you whatever's happening to you."

“Well you packed last night, or so you said, so your stuff should be in your house." She looked at him with gentle eyes, as if Sam were a leaf that's gonna fall apart at the lightest touch. "I'll go grab your stuff if you don't want to go back into the town. Just promise me you won't go further without me. The woods around here are dangerous." She quickly started trotting off, making sure you were still there every so often.
