So I finally wrote something about the orcs. Just... well, a lot more races to go, but we'll get there.
And it is done, for the beastfolk anyway. I'm a also add some other things I might tack onto the lore later...
- People of Mana are called 'Mani' (man-eye or mun-eye)
- People of Yolta are called 'Yoltan' or 'Yoltish' (just say it how it looks)
- People of Vaim are called 'Vaimese' (same)
- People of Nors are called 'Norsian' (nor-see-an)
- Compared to other races and nations of Tirn, there is a disproportionate number of retired elven Paragons in Mana, who form their own group outside of the political machinations of their relatives, living as tutors of the mana and ki arts in their monasteries. It is from these retirees that the most number of apprentices are taken in and sent to the wall, so basically the elves are the most numerous race among the Paragons, at least when it comes to mana users and specialists. People from other nations will often travel to Mana in search of these retirees for the chance to become Paragons, though whether they actually do is of course another matter altogether. If you wanna say how your character became a Paragon, well there you have it.
- Just as Paragon veterans can retire at anytime they want, retirees may also return whenever they wish. In fact, particularly long lived Paragons are known to come and go as they please, but no matter what, they are still expected to follow the ironclad rule concerning the entire land of Tirn: a Paragon must never interfere. Those who do, even as retirees, will no longer be allowed entry to the wall or the use of their crests, so anyone who decides to involve themselves in politics and war or whatever are basically excommunicated.
So, uh... no one's asking any questions anymore?
@Dapper Bunny Honestly, I haven't looked into this Hosted Project thing very much ever since it replaced the old system. I like the old system better, but yes, I suppose it would be easier. Might take a bit more time for me to wrap my head around all the features though, so... vote? Vote.
... But I can't seem to poll. Oh well, like this post if you want Paragons to be a hosted project rp. Don't if you don't.
Sound advice. Well, time to get acquainted with this hosted projects thing... oh wait, I still gotta finish writing about races. Ok, I'm a do that first, then the character sheet, THEN setting up the hosted- oh yeah, that's right. The Q&A thing... and THEN setting up the hosted project and learning how to use it, and then setting out ALL the lore and then... oh boy, we'll be waiting quite a while before this rp can even begin ladies and gentlemen. Please, bear with me for about a month or two, because I think that's about how long it'll take to get everything in order.
We can always make a discord and chat with excitement without spamming the forum, I can set that up real quick and maybe we can even give some ideas to lighten your workload. Just an idea :3
