Paper Flowers - The ill are like paper flowers: inescapably fragile, useless, and slowly deteriorating.
overview
For centuries, the world has been cured of all illness. But it wasn’t long ago that a new disease had been discovered. Being the only illness to attack human kind in so long, it has no name. To have it is just “to be sick”. And to be sick is to be a feeble, sub-human creature draining the planet of its resources.
Once unable to work, those unfortunate souls who have been stricken with illness are laid to rest. These “paper” individuals are stripped away from humanity and locked in an underground dungeon not suited for life. It is there, in the soundproof prison, that the paper children die. The lives are not intended to be stolen in vain. They are sacrifices, in a sense, to keep the spread of disease down while professionals desperately search for a cure.
The story follows citizens of the town Starry Valley in their everyday lives. Some may be sick, while others may be well.
About the disease:
Symptoms:
· Ataxia
· Poor coordination
· Difficulty breathing
· Weakness
· Fainting
· Weight loss
· Loss of appetite
· Lightheadedness
· Chest pain
· Headaches
· Speaking difficulties
Prognosis: It is not likely for someone to recover from this illness, but living from it is quite possible. The battle against the inevitable death may last for years. Symptoms start out weak and unnoticeable but after time become worse. Life expectancy is around three to five years.
Note: I do not really think that sick people are useless. It's just what the society of the world I created thinks.

☆Characters will die. Specifically, characters who are sick. But any character can die.
☆Do not kill off someone else’s character without permission.
☆If your character dies, you can create a new one if you choose.
If your character gets too sick to function, they will most likely be put in the underground chamber.
A few may be accepted into science experiments, which may be torturous.
If you let your character get this sick, you must agree to possible neglect and abuse that they may face.
☆All characters must be human! And characters who are mostly human but have animal ears do not count as human.
Your character can be any age or gender that you want. This includes male, female, and intersex, assuming that you do your research on the third option.
☆ No Mary Sue characters.
There are three groups of characters.
The first group is “Glass Diamonds” Which are people who may or may not be sick, and live above ground.
The next group is “Paper Children” Which are people who live underground due to their illness becoming too forceful.
The final group is “Paper Flowers” Which are people who are sick and fragile, but given up for scientific experiments in the hopes of finding a cure.
My reason for naming the groups is just to label them with colors. Each group gets an assigned text color. If your character belongs to that group, you must write your replies in that color.
Glass Diamonds are blue.
