The Black Serpent, the sin of man, the contrast to The Watcher. The eternal tempter. All names given to Lucifer Morningstar and all names he takes in stride, taking great pleasure in his line of work. He works as the complete foil to creation and therefore The Watcher. He says that it's obvious that creation only wants destruction and that it will always choose destruction As such he is the other half to The Great Debate and the Ultimate Question. While he almost never gets directly involved he is more than willing to help those who would bring about destruction in a way similar to how The Watcher helps the gods.
