God/Goddess Name: Nyx

Title (god.goddess of): Goddess of darkness and the night, Daughter of Chaos

Rank: Queen of Shadows

Location: Very edge of the universe; a realm called Ira

Personality: Kind and sweet, but she can be particularly cruel and aggressive when provoked

Physical description (or picture. or both):

tumblr_inline_n7wnp5DFOX1r6kh0g.jpg

OC backstory (optional):

Created by Chaos during the Titanomachy (the battle between the Gods and the Titans), she is the youngest child of Chaos. Chaos travels from her position at the end of creation to Mount Olympus, where she shows the child to Zeus. While the god agreed that the child was indeed a beautiful and sweet creation, he did ask Chaos’ reasoning. She simply told Zeus that she created Nyx unlike her siblings, who were all evil: she created her to be neutral. Chaos then explained to Zeus that she herself could not raise Nyx to be good, so she left the baby with Zeus. When the Titanomachy was over, Zeus and his first wife Metis raised Nyx to become a beautiful goddess with a kind heart. She stopped her aging after 17 years of life, forever to be betrayed as a young woman. Nyx is accompanied by her “minions” (or as she refers them, “friends”), the shadows; basic shadow demons.

tumblr_inline_n7jifhy2yf1r6kh0g.jpg

In later years, Nyx traveled to the edge of creation and created her own home: the realm of Ira. It was a place for her and her shadows live in a forever cast of twilight. She made it her duty to be the shadows’ Queen and to protect the universe and Chaos from each other. She basically keeps universal peace. One day, a god by the name of Erebus came to Ira with beasts that lived in the Abyss (the realm below Ira). He easily advanced through Ira and was able to defeat Nyx, thusly taking control of Ira and casting Nyx into the castle dungeon. Even with her power, she was no match for Erebus. For centuries, she lived in the dungeon, tortured and beaten by Erebus. Her closest shadows, The Elite Shades, tried everything they could to free their queen. One of them, Dexter, retrieved Nyx’s weapon (a scythe taken by Erebus), and gave it back to her. She was able to break free of her cell and fought her way to the throne room. There, she saw Erebus murder Dexter, and she simply lost her mind. She had transformed into a goddess of frightful appearance with the instincts of a feral beast. Though she was stronger, she still could not defeat Erebus. It was Zeus who defeated him and banished him to Tartarus. But with Nyx being mad, he had to imprison her for 200 years in her own castle until she calmed down. When she did, she took up the throne of Ira once more, and since then has lived happily with her remaining Elite.

A summary: Nyx is a kind and sweet goddess, who is very beautiful and often misjudged by her fellow gods. She is content living with her shadows, but she often returns to Earth to explore and namely just have fun. She’s a virgin goddess, having never taken a partner. Though she has a tragic past, she somehow meddles through to look on the brighter side of things. Though every once in a while she can be dark and mischievous. But it never gets to the degree of when she went insane.

God/Goddess Name: Morrighan

Title (god.goddess of): Goddess of war, vengeance, and crows, The black winged goddess

Rank: The Phantom Queen

Location: Tir na Nog (A realm between light and dark and can be reached by humans and gods alike)

Personality: Morrighan is described by the humans as innocent and kind and wants nothing more then world peace, but of course there was more to the story. Morrighan has been using humans to do her bidding ever since and acts in a very kind manner to persuade many mortals and even gods to do what ever she wants.

Physical description (or picture. or both):

rhqwwg.png

OC backstory (optional):

Morrighan is the daughter of Ernmas and has two other sisters named Macha and Neamhain. Morrighan was the most powerful out of her three sisters and was said to very beautiful, although any mortal who would look upon the eyes of the black winged goddess would fall into a dark sleep and lose their soul forever. Her role was to not only be a symbol of imminent death, but to also influence the outcome of war. Most often she did this by appearing as a crow flying overhead and would either inspire fear or courage in the hearts of the warriors. There are also a few rare accounts where she would join in the battle itself as a warrior and show her favouritism in a more direct manner.

God/Goddess Name: Aesa Freyjadottir

(OOC: Aesa is not a real Norse Deity. I made her up for the rp. As a huge Norse mythology fan, everything else is accurate as can be.)

Title (god.goddess of): Goddess of Death and War

Rank:

Location: Midgard (Earth), though exact location is unknown.

Personality: While often seeming to be volatile and unfriendly, Aesa is in reality very insecure.

Physical description (or picture. or both): Black Hair and blue eyes. Pale skin. Standing at 5'6", she weighs approximately 110 lbs. Thin, wiry, but clearly toned.

tumblr_n9fthhEtIN1tx9k8vo1_400.jpg

OC backstory (optional):

The thing about being the daughter of Freyja, one of the most powerful goddesses in Asgard, is that there area always expectation. More expectations than Aesa knew how to handle, particularly as the youngest of Freyja's daughters. Her sisters, Hnoss and Gersemi were the very vision of their mother, all pale skin and golden hues. Where Hnoss was a goddess of Sensuality and Infatuation, and Gersemi was a goddess of Beauty, Aesa felt very strongly that she had not been so lucky.

Having disappeared before her birth, Aesa had never met her father Od, though she had been that told that she inherited his hair. Her very name, Aesa, translates as "to Stir up/incite war" and that was the very definition of what Aesa was capable. She was capable of influencing the emotions of men, particularly their rage. Unfortunately for Aesa, she had to feel the emotion herself in order to create the influence. As a result, she was often seen as being unstable.

While her mother was as fond of her as she was Aesa's sisters, and while Odin was more than happy to make use of her skills, most of the other Asgardians preferred to steer clear. Aesa hated her skill. She hated the abilities that made her so angry all the time- particularly as she was, by nature, gentle and loving. Though old in by the time of men, Aesa was still quite young by the reckoning of the gods. Unable to cope with her own fate and loneliness, Aesa disappeared from her home among the gods and has been living amongst men in an attempt to runaway from that very fate.

Meet the Watcher, The immortal, the sands of time, father time, Chronos, Saturn, Thoth call him whatever you will, humanity never ceases with its different names for him. He has been seen throughout history and has been called god by many names and by many different religions. Who he actually is, that remains much more mysterious. He claims to be a part of "The Great Debate" and frequently references "The Universe's Most Intelligence Scottish Terrier." As to what "The Great Debate" is remains a mystery. Though people have reported sightings of a stray scottish terrier that displays intelligence far beyond what any dog or human should be capable of. As for if these are connected, that remains a mystery as Chronos says there's no point in telling. He can travel between worlds as every world has some form of time as time is change and all things change.

Greek Goddess of the Moon, Magic and Witchcraft

tumblr_inline_muxsmvvMFQ1r47jkb.gif

Rank | Queen of Witches, their Familiars and Hellhounds

Location | Olympus, though often frequents the Underworld

Personality | Evil. There is nothing that Hecate enjoys more than inflicting pain and torture. Though surprisingly, she doesn't view this as wrong - the centuries of indulging herself in the ways of a goddess have left her absent any human-like concept or ideals. Hecate sees herself as honest, truthful and very impartial when it comes to god-like matters.

Able to conjure and cast a myriad of enchantments and spells, Hecate was often approached by the pantheon for favours. These would often include potions for a certain purpose and fleeting glimpses into the future; though seemingly free-giving of her talents, Hecate always made sure to collect on her debts. Whilst the things she wanted in return didn't seem connected, they were; every item she acquired through bargaining away her abilities, Hecate was solidifying her place within the Greek Pantheon. If any of the other gods or goddess' were to turn on her, Hecate knew exactly how to knock them down a peg or two. Aside from that, Hecate was always very sociable and enjoyed the lavish feasts that Zeus threw regularly; though trusting few and despising even more, Hecate never fund herself wanting for anything. She was very content on Olympus and never had a desire to go anywhere else, even if she was always nervous that
other gods would come seeking her talents. Hecate had heard of the talents that various other gods from different parts of the world possessed and she realised that if she knew of them, they probably knew of her too.

His two ravens, Huginn and Muninn, bring back information on Midgard to him, making it a rare occurrence for him to ever leave Asgard. Hades desired a bride and petitioned his brother Zeus to grant him one of his daughters. The god offered him Persephone, the daughter of Demeter. However, knowing that the goddess would resist the marriage, he assented to the forceful abduction of the girl.
