Overview & Main Roleplay

Mizuki would just lick her lips as she saw the Doctor approach. She would then look towards the mace he brought. "Not bad...But's it's a bit...how should I say? Unsatisfying. "She said, before making a suggestion. "You really want your enemies flayed, then put serrated edges on the mace. Goes in smooth, but rips off flesh like butter. It is so satisfying to feel skin and muscle tear and rend..."She said, an excited tremor in her voice, before she would cover her mouth in mock shock, speaking in an innocent tone. "Oh, but listen to me! I must be boring you severely! I wish we had a place where I could show you my...special talents." She said teasingly to the doctor. To hell with Ferris, she wanted to have some fun torturing with this doctor dammit!

@Andraus

Heinrich looked at his own mace as Mizuki mentioned tacking on serrated edges. Mr. Spanky seemed more like a bludgeoning tool at this point than a flaying tool.. although.

"A good smack across the face, listening to bones crack, or with a downward blow to the cranium, seeing their eyes pop from their sockets.. mmm! The sounds of flesh tearing would get in the way of my enjoyment! Besides.." he opened up his coat, revealing his cuirass, as well as a set of double-edged knives.

"I have my flesh cutting needs covered.. here, walk with me, someplace private I know. I will tell you a tale." he offered Mizuki his hand, and once she grabbed it, he'd start walking.

"There was a time, where I had brought my services as a Doctor to the Rose. One day though, I was walking through the wilderness for some narcotic herbs, when I happened upon a gray wolf, feasting on a little girl. The poor thing's eyes were glazed over, and her mouth had been chewed through; I could see bits of her skull through her bleeding mouth flesh.. she wasn't screaming anymore.. but still, she twitched! I had in front of me a wonderful opportunity to both heal and harm, my two most favorite things to do!

"With nary a sound, I snuck up on the feeding wolf and grappled with it. It started snarling and barking at me, trying to throw me off, and I managed to put one of its hind legs into a submission hold. Hee hee hee.. And the sound echoing through the forest soon after just tickled my heart.

"CRUNCH! Followed by the wolf yelping and crying in pain. It was thrashing in my grip, but I wasn't done with it yet. I was going to break ALL of the mutt's limbs. I swiped up its other hind leg and CRUNCH! I snapped it like a common stick. I held its face away from me, and with two more delicious crunches, I broke its front legs, too. Now it was completely immobile, crying and whimpering like a domestic dog. I hobble over to the little girl, envelop her with my healing radiance.. and oooh.. the squelching sounds of her flesh returning, seeing her pulsing innards re-structure themselves, and be covered by her belly.. seeing the color return to her eyes.. aye aye, twas like a miracle.

"She rose to her feet, feeling herself as though to make sure she wasn't delusional, and said "Thank you.. lanky man." I simply nodded to her, and gestured to the wolf, broken and whimpering over its fate.

"Want to see something fun?"

Now with her attention, I grabbed the wolf's face, and forced its jaws open. I could smell its fear, its cries of protest were absolutely delicious! I forced its snout to go one way, and its lower jaw another..

"Less a crunch, more of a tearing, since there are joints.. but ooh, the sounds that wolf made, they were not like dog cries. Why.. they sounded almost human! A sustained, voice crackling scream from the beast, as it lay immobile, in the worst pain imaginable. And.. even though I saved this young girl's life.. she broke down crying over what I did to the wolf. Can you believe that!?"

Mizuki would look towards Klaus, and instead of fear or disgust, he would see....a rapt audience, hanging on his every word. She would show disgust at the girls actions. "I know! You save someones life, but they find it barbaric how you do it! No-one understands what someone must do in order to fix the problems this world has. As a doctor and scientist myself, I can make a cure that would save you from the brink of death, and I can put you through a day of the worst pain imaginable with....this!" She would reach into her pocket, and pull out a handful of Rosary Peas. "Just one of these can kill a human in a day. How did I find this out? I tested it on someone who was, lets say, harming little girls. Yet people found it monstrous how he died, a pool of his own bile! Hypocritical, I tell you! Because I learned what it can cause, I also learned how to fight it!"

Mizuki would just sigh after her rant, putting the peas back in her pocket. "You know doctor, you're the first person I have met in over 200 years that can understand things the way I do. It is actually...very peaceful to be around you. Though my skin is telling me to stay away, I cannot bring myself to pull away from you." She said, obviously curious about the reaction. She had no idea how to react to the feeling. She moved closer to the doctor, wanting to savor it. "I have no clue what this feeling is, but I can say this: I love it."

Mizuki would then sigh. "Am I really that different from everyone else? I eat food, I like long walks on the beach, I love to sing, and I take a pleasurable joy in helping people.....I also love to hear peoples screams for mercy, when they deserve none, and the sound of their cries when they suffer in agony and their bones break. "She would then just kick a pebble at her feet. "People kill eachother all the time, it's not like I am doing anything different....is what I do really that wrong?"

One by one, the doctor responded to the things Mizuki told him. The sight of the Rosary Peas caused him to quirk an eyebrow. So small yet so deadly..

"Where do those grow? I will find a patch and pick them for sure! Poisoning isn't really my cup of tea, but the putrid way in which those little things can kill, I believe I need to see for myself!"

Next was her desire to be near, despite the danger signals. With his free hand, Heinrich conjured a holy white flame. As it came forth, every instinct Klaus had was telling him to shove the flame into her face.. and like before, Klaus denied his bodily urges.

"You feel danger because of this, yeah? Holy radiance.. a substance to smite all things evil. Worse yet I have the blood of Klydebern.. a mortal man who scarred you.." the holy flame vanished, and Klaus' face grew curious. "If you can recall it.. I would like to learn more about your scrape with my ancestor. He single-handedly slaughtered thousands of demons from Imp to Balrog.. how did you survive before he was banished?"

"There's nothing wrong with it at all." he said in response to her worries of being an outcast. "If you've read up on the murdering, pillaging and baby eating most armies and raiders take part in you'd imagine us humans have more darkness in our hearts than even the most corrupted, vile devil. Heck if I wanted to scare the residents of Umbra Carcerum I would hand them a human history book." he rolled his eyes.. humanity had to be the most hypocritical species in existance.. next to the xenophobic Elves.

Mizuki would just smile. "Rosary peas? They grow in Tropical or sub-tropical areas, and they can be quite weedy and invasive. "She said, before placing a hand on her hip, and pulling up her shirt, revealing a deep scar. "It was by coincidence, really. I was travelling along the road, looking for test subjects, and I met the man, standing over a demons body. Now that I think about it, I am not even sure if he killed the demon, but at the time I didn't care. I wanted a new subject to test it on, and it turns out the plain guy was tricky. He actually disarmed me and nearly killed me, had Lexus not come along. He knocked the guy away, and got me out of that scrap with nothing more than this scar." She said, pulling her shirt back down.

"I know! The Rose kingdom burned witches at stakes, Yunakai enslaved dragons, and Bathelon used to be into the Slave Market! You couldn't shake a stick without finding a criminal act in the three kingdoms, yet I am the bad guy because I made them suffer for it? Please, if I wanted to really hurt people, I would've tainted their water supply with Night-shade, Rosary Peas, Wolfsbane, and Buttercups!" Mizuki said. THAT would be a fun show indeed.

Mizuki would then lean into the doctor as they walked. "You make my skin crawl.....but you are so warm, I can't bring myself to pull away." She said, contently. "The only other person to make me feel like this is my Sister, and even then, never this severe...."

Klaus only let out a low laugh, pulling Mizuki in close.

"You are quite a thrill seeker, I can tell.. but I have been wondering, these past few days. Is Yaro and Prudence's little power struggle truly.. exciting to you? They seem so invested in it, and don't get me wrong, war gives me many opportunities to let me mend and maim, but after the war is over.. then what? They'll rule over a rock. A rock with people on it. To me.. that just sounds boring." he looked up at the sky, watching the rainy stratus clouds begin to leave. "I will always be left wanting something more."

Now, they arrived at Heinrich's residence within the city. It was a musty yellow 2-story building, with iron bars on all the windows. The doctor opened it up, allowing Mizuki to walk in first. The first thing she would be welcomed by was polished wooden floors, comfy looking furniture, a few paintings, the scent of tea.. and the body of an old woman on the floor. There were no visible wounds on her blue and purple body, and her mouth was open, twisted into a wretched, toothless smile. A white feather rested on her breast..

Oromis

"I didn't ASK if you had control, I asked how much of it do you use when casting magic?"  He boombed, trying to be patient. "Because it matters a lot depending on who you are. Personally I don't use words of power nor do I use staffs or wands, so I don't try to control my spells in such a way where I would need them. I make them do the basic jist of what I need them to do, then I personally work my own fighting style around it. It takes me practice and time, and lots of drilling. You cast magic differently it seems, so how much control do you try to use when casting?" @Enuky

South Yunakai--

Edwin awoke later than the rest buried in a sea of pain. He groaned sitting up, and climbed slowly from the bed. He appreciated the water that was left for him. The knights sighed and shrugged off the pain; he could tolerate a nasty hangover alright.

He then noticed that he was alone in the medical wing. He wondered how late he'd slept and where everyone else was. He knew they needed to make an early start to reach Amberjack quickly. Edwin headed through the fort, and it didn't take long to find the rest of the group.

"Well, I say the right words", said Cecile to Oromis, looking away.

It was then that Edwin interrupted the king's lesson, approaching the princes swiftly. He pushed her shoulder, causing Cecile to almost lose her balance.

"She has no control", he answered. "She just needs her ass kicked until she learns to toughen up", he added with a chuckle.

Cecile looked as if she were about to protest, but Edwin spoke over her, "We need to take our leave. You can play with magic on the way", he said and turned to leave. Edwin left the room and headed towards the fort's exit. Along the way, he ran into Master Yoren. He bowed to him, recognizing him as a powerful figure.

"Good morning", he said and rose. "Are you prepared for our journey to Amberjack?" He began leading the way to the exit, knowing the rest would join them when ready.

Cecile was left looking somewhat speechless by Edwin's actions, but she dismissed them. He was the grump on this morning, Her thoughts shifted back to their trip to the coastal city.

"We can practice on the road", she said.

Prudence remained close to Yaro and their baby, but took a step back when Yaro handed her the letter. She started to read, and her green eyes became a stone, dull shade of green. Her shoulders slumped and she was becoming increasingly  upset... Troy was a good life lost, she reflected. By the time Prudence reached the end of the letter she held the letter close to her chest and her back was turned to Yaro and Alfio.

"On Troy's honor ,we will obliterate the monarchies of Rose and Yunakai", she said, a slight watering in her eye. She breathed deeply and went back to her small family. She gently reached fo Allfio; he was fighting sleep again. She bundled him and laid him into his tiny cradle,staring at him for a long moment before turning back to Yaro,

"I love you", she said, "and we will avenge Troy". She peered into the cradle at her baby once more; he was peacefully sleeping. "Let's eat", she said to him, taking his arm, The ship was to set sail at noon...

He was happier with this second result, but before he could say anything, someone came and DRAGGED her away. This annoyed him a lot, irrationally so. Why the hell could she not keep focus for a short hour or so? DAMNIT! These were the allies he was working with? Slacking off and never focusing? What the hell was there drive? What made them so...happy with life? He had been raised on the fact that perfection is the only thing to shoot for, and ideals such as mercy is for the weak, or 2nd place is just the first looser. He stood there, fists clenched, bits of ice and lightning dancing around them, occasionally firing off small bursts of energy. "Yea...on the ROAD." he growled before storming to his room, putting on his cloak and gathering his belongings. Within 20 minutes he was ready to move, but he had something more to say to these soldiers before they left...

@Andraus @Enuky

When Lance finished his food, he lingered in the empty room until he saw and heard Edwin and Cecile pass the doorway. Edwin was finally awake, then. The angry voice of Oromis followed them, although it was faint and probably couldn't be heard by the two. Shrugging, the Bathelonian king rose to his feet and left the room. He ducked into the room he'd slept in and grabbed his pack, and followed the rest of the group outside. Oromis would be here soon; Cecile, Edwin, Lanister, Aizen, and a stranger were already here. The group could leave soon. Good; they were behind schedule enough as it was.

It took a brief pause for Lance to realized that the small familiar, Augusto wasn't here; hopefully the bat would turn up eventually. He wasn't interested in being scolded in front of everyone by a small mammal just because he'd forgotten about it.

///

Maeve nodded; she knew what the flowers were. She and Yaro and his family and friends had often visited a cave full of them, although she didn't have time to say this before they were engulfed in the memory being shown. She stared at the huge number of slain demons piled around Natha's feet with awe, knowing he'd done most of the killing. She watched as he killed even more of the foul beings, and was left in awe of the silvery flame he commanded. It moved unlike anything she'd ever seen. Kalamitat hissed at its presence, despite it only being a memory; perhaps it reminded the golden demon that Natha was capable of smiting it and the only reason he didn't was because Maeve was who he saw more. More than the murderous demon that inhabited her body.

:Idiot,: it muttered, stirring again and taking greater interest in the scene playing out. When the past faded out of view, Kalamitat remained more awake, feeling less suspicious of Natha than before. If he really meant to hurt it, he would've done so already, despite whoever owned the body.

"You really suffered from your hatred," Maeve said, turning and beginning to walk again. "I suppose I can't help but be glad for you. Not everyone can work past that sort of thing, and it's the only thing keeping me alive anyways," she added. "We need to keep going, no more delays. Otherwise we might be caught."

Natha was surprised. He had fully expected her to call him a monster, or something along the lines, before placing the locket back in his shirt, next to his heart. "You are...very strange, huma-....Maeve." He said, calling her by her name instead of a title, to show respect. He would then follow after her. After a moment, he would speak up. "Thank you...I had not expected you to show me kindness, or offer aid, but you have done both, and you barely know me....I am thankful you trust me." Natha said, as they finally arrived towards the village.

Reef-Shallows

Natha would look around the town, seeing town guards instead of royal or rebel forces. This left him confused. "I was under the assumption that most of Southern Yunakai supported the New King, You called him Yaro? Are these people royalists? Rebels? If either, why have no military here, but a militia?"He asked her, curious.

Yaro would wrap his arms around Prudence. "I assume that book had something important in it?...Whatever the case, I think it was Troy's soul that watched over the birth of our child, and let him be born in this world. Where one life ends, another begins. She shall be the guardian angel for him. "Yaro said, kissing her, before replying. "I love you too.....Yes, Let us go eat."

Lanister had gone with Yoren and Aizen to scout the lands ahead. They would notice how....guarded the Southern lands were. There were military patrols roaming the farm lands, Watch towers to watch for invading armies and predators, checkpoints to investigate refugees, and it seemed like more defenses were already in the works. Yaro had put considerable effort into reinforcing his lands, and the guards were no push-overs: There was discipline amongst them, strong devotion to their cause, and a militant air about them. They were rebel soldiers, they acted the part befitting of their rank, and they didn't seem to tolerate foolishness, as stated by two people in soldier uniforms being placed in stocks, most likely for disorderly conduct.

Lanister would bite his lip seeing this. "Yaro hasn't been playing around, getting into these lands without being detected is going to be difficult....Master Yoren, Aizen, What do you believe we should do?" He asked. He wanted to avoid blood-shed if necessary, as he himself was still having trouble with removing Yaro from here, when he was doing good.

Mizuki would roll her eyes. "Honestly? I couldn't care less about this war, or about the Raiders. Don't get me wrong, I love my sister and Chalondra and Lexus, but after a few years, the raids just seemed so....uninteresting. Don't get me wrong, I am not planning on betraying them, but I never understood why the Infernal King wanted this place to begin with. Couldn't we have just waited for the other races to kill each-other, THEN take over their land?"  She said, walking around the body, as to show respect.

"My sister would have me use my knowledge to make the raids successful again...The only reason I am here is because Ferris asked me, and she agreed to help e find a husband. You be alone for 250 years, you get bored of talking to humans too. I want to find someone that shares my love of science, adventure, and the occasional maiming of fools!" She said, plopping into a chair.

Aizen mulled over the possibilities. From his time as a Shinobi, his skills in stealth were that of legend.. comparable to hiding in plain sight, moving without noise, and killing without suspicion. But that was when he was alone.. to break through with more than just himself, it would complicate things.

"Disguise, perhaps? Waltzing in with Wilting Rose garb and mask would be too obvious.. but if we appeared as commoners, perhaps we could slip by these guards without confrontation." twas Aizen's two silver.

@Dalamus Ulom

. . .

Klaus walked in after, closing and locking the door behind him. He stepped over the body, addressing it as 'Ms. Kinder'. He seated himself on an opposite chair, listening to what Mizuki had to say. Why raid now, instead of waiting for extinction? Klaus already had an answer to that.

"Sentient life will never go extinct." he replied, cracking his fingers. "I don't know about Elves, or Dwarves, or any of those other races out there, but.. humans, for example. No matter how much war and genocide takes place, humanity can never die.. too numerous, too eager to reproduce, and the fact that people like Prudence, Yaro, Klydebern and myself can be born.. people like us are simply too strong, too smart, or too lucky to be killed. Why.. even Prudence died earlier yesterday, and I brought her back from the land of the dead." it was then that Heinrich looked into Mizuki's eyes.. his expression dead serious.

"A genocide would simply assure that only the strongest like us survive. We'll pass on our genes, and within 25 years or less humans will have a sizeable population of nothing but super warriors, mages and healers.. the Infernal King will simply have to accept a stalemate. If he came up here and started to exterminate every last life in Morganna, eventually he would stumble upon a God in flesh, get stomped to the curb, and be sent back to his Hell for all that trouble. A lesson taught to me, to withhold my violent tendencies: There will always be someone stronger than you."

Yoren was surprised by everything he saw. Not by the militant air of the people, as they were simply smallfolk feeling the effects of this civil war, but rather, the extreme professionality and apparent skill of the soldiers, as well as the speed and numbers at which Yaro obtained them. "Don't let this facade fool you, Lanister. Remember what I taught you? Look with your eyes, think with your brain. This rebellion's fairly new, say, a year or two by now, right? And yet they have this much military power? Sure, they may have had some sort of military power before seceding, but it seems to me as if many of these so called soldiers of Yaro's are really greenboys, with perhaps a few hired sellsword companies for backup. No man would be able to raise this many men just to guard the roads, and still have a sizable amount of men and women to fight a against a fully fledged nation. Doubtless a few gold pieces applied to the right places will get us in without a second question. And for others, well, a full parden for any crimes from the king of Yunakai, with a reward, is a very nice prospect to a person of common birth," Yoren said.

When Aizen voiced his opinion, Yoren nodded. "Clever lad, but not enough. That may work for us, but for such men as Oromis, it would not work. That, and what of our equipment? Very smart, but you must think a little more outside the box." Turning to Lanister, Yoren would ask, "Does not Yaro count several turncloaks of our order among his men?"

Cecile went straight outside, depending entirely on Edwin to collect her things. In fact, the thought hadn't even crossed her mind, and she was fortunate that Edwin had considered such things on his own. He brought Cecile her broomstick but kept her pack on himself, unwilling to burden the princess.

The princess had just slipped her broomstick into its sheath behind her back when Oromis joined the group outside. She wasn't paying attention to Yoren, Aizen, or Lanister while they discussed their boring 'logistics'. Cecile's only concern was whether they would be making the trip on foot...

Edwin joined Yoren and Lanister already, and Cecile expected Lance would do the same as they made last minute plans. She chose to venture to where Oromis was; she was interested in continuing their lesson, and oblivious to the fact that she ditched him before.

"Won't you show me again", she said to him, hoping to see his power again. Cecile wished that she could produce such spells on her own.

It seemed everyone was ready to move.

Prudence and Yaro went to the manor dining room. It was eloquent yet simple, with large cozy chairs surrounding the long, wooden table. Prudence had to climb up to reach the seats, and no sooner than she had was a servant by her side with tea.

The servant poured the tea for Yaro and Prudence before bowing to be dismissed. While they waited for breakfast Prudence added sugar to her tea cup.

"The book is important... but I have no idea where it could be", she said.

Aizen nodded at the aspect of the new guards being green.. having massive amounts of conscripts was an effective tactic for offense and defense, since they could overwhelm an opposing army with sheer numbers alone. But an elite squadron? Nary a chance. Still.. Aizen disliked the premise of these guards being fresh from training. It was as they said.

"Professionals are predictable; Lanister, Yoren.. but the world is full of dangerous amateurs."

Through the bowels of a Bathelonian swamp, a man by his lonesome tread with light feet. The mud and the water failed to dampen his boots, or halt his progress. In the dim morning light, his alabaster skin and white hair stuck out like a sore thumb; as it did in any point in the day; as did his long attire of blue and purple, which stood in stark contrast of the greens and browns of the swamp. Many tools jutted out from their harnesses, among them a rapier, a heater shield, a crossbow, and a lute. Beneath the man's white hair, tied into a ponytail, were the presence of pointed ears.

"Tch, stupid Druids.." he complained, idly looking around at the gnarled trees, and beneath him, the marshy water. "Inspiration to be found? In this gutter of nature? How in anyone's right mind could they see this as a right-fit place for a home? I swear.. I'm either going to hit a Druid village or a Witch's hut!" with an exsasperated sigh, he continued onwards, swatting the pesky insects as they came too close.

@transcendantviewer

Minutes of trekking turns to hours traversing the swamp as the buzzing of insects and the sweltering sun rises slowly overhead for the lone wanderer. The floating kingdom, suspended outside their world, passes silently overhead, giving him only a moment's reprieve as its shadow passes over. Above, he can hear the sound of distant yelling, seemingly getting louder by the instant.

@DemetrioMachete

A suspicious eyebrow was quirked from the Half-Elf, as the sounds of yelling came from above. Somebody get dropped by a flying monster? Wouldn't that be a brutal spectacle to behold, he thought! But alas, what if this falling voice fell on him? No no.. couldn't have any of that. He looked straight up, taking a few steps back on instinct. Who or what was responsible for that shouting?

@transcendantviewer

Maeve stiffened slightly. "I've seen worse. And don't get it into your head that I trust you--I don't. Yet.. You just haven't shown any hostile intent towards me."

A few hours later the duo reached the village, and Maeve waved up at the militiaman in the watchtower, crossing the bridge. He nodded in response and returned to his watch.

"Reef-Shallows is very disconnected from the outside world. It's only a part of Yunakai because the land the kingdom claims happens to be the land the village sits on. Most wouldn't consider a quaint little place like this worth much value anyways, so they just leave it be as if it's its own, independent, neutral nation," Maeve explained as they entered the village. "I've been here a few times. It's my favorite place in Yunakai--in the world. Because of the war right now they're slightly suspicious of outsiders, so be wary. They shouldn't make any moves as long as you don't though," she added. She took a left and then they crossed underneath an overhanging bridge on the town's second level, which had a branch that connected to the inn's second floor as well. The largest building in the settlement, with a total of two stories, the inn even had a miniature dock with a few boats tied to the posts.

Maeve walked in and waved to the innkeeper. "Hello, Garen, it's good to see you again," she greeted. The gruff-looking man at the counter, polishing the wooden top, looked up and waved back as a grin split his face.

"Maeve, hello! It's been a few years. I heard about what happened with the Queen.. I'm sorry for your loss. Hm--on a brighter topic, what are you doing here? Not official business, I hope," he said, giving a look to Natha who was quickly realized to be a noble, with the way he carried himself.

"No, not at all. Just stopping for the night." Garen nodded, satisfied with her response.

"Since you haven't visited in a while and we had a great catch this year before the winter slow, it's on the house. As long as you pay for your food. It's the balcony room, all the way on the left end," he said, and with a grateful smile Maeve led Natha up the stairs.

"This is the only room with two beds. It's a good thing nobody vacations here in the winter. During the summer it's a well-visited attraction, especially for monks and the elderly," Maeve remarked, setting her few carried belongings on one of the beds' side table before flopping rather ungracefully onto it. "I'm exhausted. You can either sleep now and wash up tomorrow, or I can," Maeve offered, propping herself up on her elbows. ((I'd say you can move us on or I can after this post, Andraus.))

((That's all for now. I can't really think of anything for Lance or anyone else right now, since I'm kinda stuck in a rut for this RP at the moment, at least for that POV. Sorry ;-:))

Oromis

Before they left, he delivered a speech to the soldiers who stayed. He simply gathered them all, waited for silence, then spoke.

"My fellow servants of the Empire, I greet you today as your King, your ally, and your servant. I speak to you today as your friend, your family, and your King. I praise you today as your protector, your general, and as your KING. I greet you fellow citizens, soldiers, guards, servants, however you wished to be called. I speak to you my fellow friends, my family, and my allies. I PRAISE YOU TODAY, AS TRUE MEN OF YUNAKAI, THE ONES WHO STAND TRUE TO THE CROWN AND DON'T SHIRK WHEN DIFFICULTY SURFACES!" He paused now to let his words sink in a bit, then continued:

"I can not thank you all enough for your support, your loyalty, and your friendship. We have had some hard times in the past, with commanders ditching you, the old crown disgracing our nation, and now rebels threatening you at every hour. However, you who stand before me have proven yourselves real men of the Empire, and those who I would stand with and follow into the gates of Oblivion itself! You had no idea who I would be, nor if I would show up, but your loyalty and duty never shirked, and I stand before you now to tell you your efforts were NOT in vain! I have come now with allies of the Empire, and after I finish my aid to them, I will send troops-no, I will LEAD troops right to this fortress, and then we shall crush the rebels! THEY WILL REGRET THE DAY, THEY DARED STAND IN FRONT OF US!" His tone, which had been calm and soothing, began to change...almost inhumane, animal like, snarling and growling, almost a roar at every peak. "THEY THINK THEY CAN DEFY THE CROWN AND GET AWAY WITH IT?! THEY THINK THEY CAN RIOT AND REVOLT AND EXPECT THE SAME GIFTS AND PRIVILEGES AS YOU, WHO STILL SERVE THE CROWN?! THOSE DOGS AREN'T EVEN HUMAN! THEY DESERVE NOTHING BUT DEATH AND TORTURE, WHILE YOU, MY FELLOW SERVANTS OF YUNAKAI, DESERVE TWICE YOUR WEIGHT IN GOLD, AND EVEN MORE!!" He hoped to rally his troops to this. "STAY WITH ME FOR A FEW MORE MONTHS, AND I SHALL RETURN WITH MY LEGIONS, AND WE SHALL WIPE THE REBELS OFF THE FACE OF THIS LAND!!" He ended with a roar, and his fist in the air at an angle. "Wait now, I shall return." He then stepped off the stage with that anti climactic ending....

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Continue the lesson?" He thought back to earlier, when she ran off all distracted. Being distracted and unfocused during combat was horribly dangerous, he already knew she could not be counted on in a pinch, even if she had great power, which he hadn't seen yet. Then again, he was no great mage himself, all he did was use raw power to increase his own. His own strength and fortitude came from his raging spirit and willpower to crush any and all opposition, so his magic was almost a projection of himself-hense why he could never heal nor do anything besides destruction-or if he could, he had never tried. "Fine. What do you want to learn anyway." Flat tone. @Enuky @Andraus @Trombone Geek @DemetrioMachete

@DemetrioMachete He sees the outline of a large, muscular humanoid crashing down before him, the sunlight overhead blotting out their details. Immediately, the humanoid slams into the ground with a loud, horrid thud, grunting at the force of the impact, but the sound of metal striking the soft, sludgy ground catches his attention. There wasn't any hint of a soft thump like he'd expected. With a grunt, the large humanoid twitches and begins lifting himself to his feet, interlocking plates of blackened steel shifting like the flesh of a man. Wiping the dirty sludge from himself, the humanoid reveals the terrifying visage of a man entirely encased in the armor, a single red eye illuminating as mud is wiped free. Around his waist is a sash made of tattered robes and an eyepatch covers his left eye. Upon his back sits a harness holding an immense axe in place; a truly sinister weapon that appears as though it should be wielded by the headsman, rather than in battle. "Ugh... Damn gravity... Wait... Where am I?... Little lady, where am I?" he asks, turning towards the androgynous half-elf.

Instinctively, Lenelia backed up further and shielded his face as he made impact. As the splash of water and mud cleared, he lowered his guard, and saw the veritable mass of iron tower above him, his eye twitched as it stood. It wasn't every day a steel golem just fell from the sky. Its red eye in particular.. Lenelia got a sense that something sinister was carried with this beast.

All of those suspicions and worries flew out the window as he was called a "little lady". He let out a deep breath. His teeth grit, and his fist clenched. By jove his blood was boiling! He was about to shout at the golem when..

He caught his breath, and pointed a single finger at the golem. He waggled it, as though he were scolding a child.

"First thing you should know about me?" he spoke, his voice youthful, but most certainly masculine; not unlike a teenager. "Not. A lady. Everyone seems to make that mistake at first.. so I'll let you off the hook for it. As for where you are?" the Half-Elf paused briefly, looking around his surroundings. "You're in a Bathelonian swamp; home to gators, Druids, and a few Gelatinous Cubes.. now I got a better question for you, metal man: the hell were you doing in the sky?"

"I'll be honest; no idea. Last time I checked, I was sitting at the foot of a tree in the middle of a forest I planted. Next thing I know, I'm suddenly plummeting to the ground." he replies, rolling his shoulders, producing several loud metallic clanks as joints loosened themselves. This behemoth of a golem stood nearly 10 feet tall, easily dwarfing the half-elf before him. "And for the record, I'm not a Steel Golem. Close, but not quite. I'm a Warforged. Made my way out here many years ago and decided to live a peaceful life, cultivating my forest. Obviously, my land's been screwed up by somebody and I intend to find out who." he continues, reaching behind himself and grabbing the rather large and nondescript poleaxe on his back, but upon the blade lies the visage of a screaming face and various symbols written in some form of ancient language. "You wouldn't happen to know why half my forest is floating and the other half is some kind of swamp, would you?"

@DemetrioMachete

The half-elf could only utter a short laugh as the "Warforged" asked about why it had gone through such circumstances.

"Consider me one of your more valuable finds, Warforged! I, Lenelia Vaterian, am a Bard by trade. Anything that I find worth writing into music I will. It just so happens I'm educated on the matter you speak of!"

With a deep breath, Lenelia crackled his shoulder, seeming to mouth something lyrical to himself, before speaking aloud.

"I take it Song and Dance is not your cup of tea, so I'll confess without lyric. Before even the oldest living Elf was born, there was a Kingdom we call Alethea. Some nasty Demons broke out of the Abyss, seeking death and destruction. Long story short, us mortals could not garner a decisive victory over them, and so some talented Wizards sealed the city off and banished it towards the sky. I take it your forest was within Alethean territory, and so the barrier swallowed it up with the rest of the Kingdom." there was another pause, as Lenelia seemed to ponder a bit more.

"So uh.. that said, pretty sure those demons hold the blame ball, had they just surrendered or not invaded at all, you'd still have your forest, yeah?" from looks alone, this mass of iron and fur wraps didn't look like something that knew peace. From the red eye, its deep voice, and that forboding axe.. it looked like a murder machine. These thoughts, Lenelia would not vocalize.

The armored colossus grumbles, putting away his weapon. "I see... In that case, I need to find a mage to give me flight so I can go and slaughter the demons that think they have a right to encroach on my territory. I'll bring the entire kingdom crashing down if I have to." he states, an audible anger hanging in his voice as he crosses his arms.

"I know a few." Lenelia cut in, as the Warforged finished speaking. "They're all converging in the Kingdom of Yunakai.. something about a war or a rebellion. I don't know any more details beyond that, although, there are Mages on either side. I'm sure someone as big and imposing as yourself can uh.. "persuade" them to help you out." Lenelia simply shrugged at this though, looking up at the sky. "I kinda want to be down there, too. Wars and rebellions always make for good songs.. brings in coin." in a move he considered against his better judgement, Lenelia offered his gloved hand to the colossus, a proposal of co-operation. "I've decided I'll head on over to Yunakai and spectate their war. Wanna come with?"
