Wonder-Man/Ajax was a Superman robot that was rejiggered by the Superman Revenge Squad into a different, more realistic android in an attempt to take the spotlight from and then fight Superman.
He was broken and given a proper human burial. He only appeared for an issue (as Wonder-Man, at least.)
