I used to read a lot of comics in the late 90s when I was still a child, but I missed a majority of the events of Marvel and DC as I got older. Although, I started reading again last year and I think I'm fairly caught up.Red said:I'm more of a comic book guy rather than books. I read some books on rare occassions though.
Thanks, Kite. I'll be sure to watch the movies when I find the time. I'm always hesitant to watch film adaptations of books, since the ones I've seen so far have all been pretty disappointing in terms of being faithful to the source material and overall quality.Hellkite said:The movies are pretty good, by-and-large. Obviously they're slightly more action-ey than the books and they miss some of the minor stuff, but all of the important story bits are there and in some ways they're a lot more palatable than the books (7 400 page plus novels start to drag very quickly I find). Defo go for the films to start with, then the books if you find you want more.
