Being born abroad, in France, Tamaki is enamored by many aspects of Japanese culture. Tamaki is the current heir to his family's estate though that could change depending on the will of the family's matriarch, his paternal grandmother. Tamaki has no contact with his mother in France, last seeing her when he was in his second year of middle school. Tamaki had never had the ideal family life so he projects his dream onto the club, deeming himself the father of the group and assigning everyone else other familial roles. According to Tamaki, he is the daddy, Kyouya is the Mommy, Haruhi and the twins are the children, and Honey and Mori are the neighbors. While Tamaki seems bubbly and silly on the surface, he does have a more serious side way deep down. Additionally Tamaki is prone to making social faux pas as he was very isolated as a child.

Haruhi comes from a middle class family where her mother had died early on in her life when she was five. Despite that Haruhi very much holds her mother in high regards as a role model. She loves her father dearly though she isn't as expressive about it as he is. Living in a single parent household, she found herself learning how to deal with her Brontophobia among other things on her own while her father was away. Haruhi shouldered her way through school and became a fantastic student which earned her a spot at Ouran High School. Meeting and joining the host club has been... interesting to say the least. It's best to say that she has been growing closer to to the members and having fun with the club despite her more reserved nature.

BIOGRAPHY/BACKGROUND
Eli comes from a wealthy family all in the entertainment business. Her father is an actor, her mother who use to be a model now runs a talent agency and her older sister is influencer/realty star. Growing up Eli was always a bit of a troublemaker and tended to act out. Part of this could have been due to her not getting enough attention from her parents. To make matters worse they were not subtle on who their favorite child was. Eli also tended to witness the fights her father and mother would have a soon enough they ended up getting a divorce and her father started dating a 18 year old model.

A Eli got older her mother came to realize that Eli had a talent for singing and immediately got to work. After some slight manipulation her mother got Eli to agree to sign up with her agency and started a music career. After a year of training she put out her first single and a music video. She's gained quite bit popularity and now she has to make sure to keep up a certain image. Eli was use to this though growing up she was always forced to dress and act certain way. The only time she seems to really be free to herself is at school. Though she hates the girls uniform with a passion.

Biography/Background
Hana initially was born into a middle-class family in a smaller rural town. The daughter of a chef and salaryman who had a strained relationship that they just couldn't let go of, Hana's childhood was far from pleasant. Rather, she would often come home to loud arguments, sobbing, and havoc until they divorced when she was 7. Her mother took custody of Hana and her father moved out of town, disappearing from her life.

Growing up in these sorts of conditions, Hana found herself having to grow up swiftly. With her mother, especially, having undergone much distress before and after the divorce as she attempted to get adjusted to being a single mother, Hana found herself warranted to act as the perfect daughter. She became a top-A student, took on a part-time job, did her best to be polite to everyone she met, and tried to be there for all of her loved ones. And even as the two maintained a positive relationship, Hana found herself keeping up this image throughout the years. She was a beacon to others, the one that everyone could turn to for everything and anything. Well everyone save for herself. Nonetheless, Hana got by.

That was until she was 13. Then Hana's whole life changed completely. Specifically, her mother met a CEO who was part of the Chiba family, a wealthy family that ran a chain of department stores, while he was vacationing for the summer. After all, Hana's hometown has been quite a tourist attraction during the summers. During his vacation, he and Hana's mother fell in love, beginning a long-distance relationship once the CEO had to return to the city. Feelings grew deeper and before Hana knew it, she was moving away from her hometown and everything she knew to live to move in with her mother's new love who later became her stepfather.

Hana was happy for her mother and the CEO was both a loving husband and father to Hana and her mother. However, their marriage was looked down upon by society's elite, and while her stepfather's business was not affected too harshly by these results, that did not stop Hana and her mother from being looked down up. Thus, as Hana was thrust into this world of wealth and luxury that she was unprepared for, she found herself relentlessly looked down upon and bullied by her new peers, seen as a worm or snake that wriggled her way into the garden that was the noble Chiba family.

Yet Hana adapted. Not wishing for her current treatment to cause her mother and stepfather any worry, Hana hid her insecurities and pain behind a dazzling smile and did her best to adjust to these new conditions quickly. She did all she could to appear to be the perfect lady, so everyone could forget that she was a fraud. And as entered Ouran due to her grades and status in the Chiba Family, Hana did everything in her power to get accustomed to her surroundings. She was friendly to all, did her best to get involved with school activities, continued vying to be the best student she could be, and just did all she can so she can be seen like another student within the academy. So she can connect to others and be liked once more.

Yet all her efforts seemed to mostly fail as she simply seemed to become more and more of an outsider.

So she tried to get involved in clubs. Hence how the Host Club caught her eye. At the time, it seemed like the perfect way for Hana to finally truly befriend her fellow students and for a good cause. Yet she was rejected, mostly because she was a girl.

Hana was greatly discouraged by the rejection, refusing to hold any ill feelings toward the host club and its president yet saddened that this perfect chance to become something more than an outsider was just out of her reach. That was until Setsuna Higarashi suggested that she could begin a club of her own for hostesses. And the stage was set for Ouran's new Hostess Club.

The Haninozuka family have excelled in martial arts for generations, to the point that all family members are martial arts champions. Upon greeting, it is tradition for family members to fight as a reminder to keep their guard up. It should be noted that height is not significant in the Haninozuka Martial Arts, as it is mentioned that, "There are more small people in the [Haninozuka] family than not."As the oldest person in the club, Honey refers to his fellow hosts using the "-chan" honorific. He also serves as a mentor-figure for the hosts, especially Kaoru, and is eager to help others find their identity, just as Tamaki helped him find the courage to be his own true self. However, he does not believe in babying people, even Mori, and typically does not offer his advice unless he is approached first. He is adoring of his stuffed bunny, Usa-chan, as it was made just for him by his late grandmother, and he harbors an insatiable appetite for sweets and cake, admitting that he eats three whole cakes for dessert every evening after dinner.

Biography
Erena is the daughter of the CEO of the famous Japanese clothing design brand: Sacai. Because of this, Erena had dabbled into the fashion industry as well due to her mother's influence. Her father was in somewhat the same field as he was a professional photographer who usually goes around the world for fashion runways, especially those in the fashion week and Paris are the main ones for him. Erena however never wanted to become a model herself but instead went further into the world of clothing and make-up, already having proved that she has quite the talent for it. Her most favourite kind of fashion lays more in cosplay however as she loves making clothes that aren't the usual but portrays the actual character of a fandom or creates an entirely original. She has accepted projects which consisted of made-up characters by the cosplayer themselves which was a fun thing to do, having also cosplayed herself she felt like she could escape her reality like that for just a moment. Her mother was supportive and her father was the same, loving to photograph what wasn't the norm and actually indulge himself in another world, it definitely boosted his vision on people and his creativity. She had encountered some negative views on her goals which she merely disregarded as those people were merely jealous and didn't know how to have fun in their lives, it almost made her pity them even which might have projected in her behaviour towards them. Now that she was in her second year of high school, she had established a name for herself because of the way she carried herself with proud and yet that hint of mischievousness.

BIOGRAPHY/BACKGROUND
Noelle was born on a gently raining day in Korea - where that is a sign of good luck. Contrary to that belief, that raining day was also the day that her mother passed away from delivery. Her birth had other complications as well, such as Noelle being diagnosed with severe Anemia which in the future caused her to faint from any strenuous activities. Since her mother's passing, her father raised her by himself. However, he was able to provide her with whatever she needed as he had incredible wealth. He was the creator of a worldwide popular cosmetics brand called Areum.

Due to having health complications, Noelle was never able to go to the park or do such activities as a child. She never got to make any sandbox friends, or play with her neighbors. Because of this, she ended up being a quiet child who stayed home all day with her stuffed animals. Even once she got to school, not many kids wants to be friends with her because she couldn't go out to play. They would've rather went out during recess than stay inside wit her.

Because of the lack of female figures in Noelle's life, her father tried to step in. He often dressed her as a doll, and in as many frills as possible because he thought that was what girls liked. While she didn't like it at first because children don't like layers and layers of heavy clothes, the style ended up growing on her. She particularly wears it because it makes her father feel like he did a good job of providing for her. Dressing up was also one of the only hobbies that did not require a lot of physical work on her weakened body.

Her father pushed her to join a club once she got to highschool in order to make friends. The only problem was most of them were sports clubs and she could not participate. That was until she found the Hostess Club, where she could sit comfortably and eat sweets all day. Excitedly, she joined. And now it's her favorite place to snack on cookies and make friends.

Sebastian's parents are owners of some of the biggest airports in Japan. He is the youngest of 4 kids. When he was a child, he was never paid attention to by his mother and father. So his main role model was his older sister, Elpis Hart. She was the one to sign all of his school forms, cook all of his dinners, and even give him an allowance for when he worked hard. Unlike his other siblings, Elpis and Sebastian constantly did chores around the house. He knows how to sew, cook, and clean. He also learned to paint and sculpt.

When he started going to Ouran High School he was approached by Honey, who he became friends with, soon that led to him being in the host club. Throughout his time in the host club, he was known to be the one to woo girls with his awkwardness and cooking for them. He also, on occasion, painted portraits for the club to sell and put on display. He also makes new costumes for the host clubs sometimes. Sebastian enjoys his time in the host club and the people in the club.
