Our Wonderful Space RP, Home-Life <3

Cas squirmed away when the finger met his ribs, looking over at Adrian with a cheeky grin, "Well, if you're jealous, I can always arrange something of the humiliating sort later~" He teased, chuckling evilly. The Lieutenant followed the taller to the bar, where Angus was enjoying the attention from the many ladies surrounding him. Clearly, they were intrigued by his accent more than anything; accents always did seem to get the ladies.

Angus nodded in agreement, "I'm starting to enjoy this prank, Ade." He replied, as the green blonde took out a strange dark purple fruit, with bright yellow spikes decorating the skin. The 51st century equivalent of a cherry. Angus let her put the fruit in his mouth, figuring it was just really good decorating, on someone's part. He let the fruit sit on his tongue for a few seconds, the ladies practically petting him, before he began chewing it noisily. "Sae... Whit dae ye pure swatch loch? Under aw 'at, ye ken?" (So... What do you really look like? under all that, you know?)

The blonde blushed, getting the meaning mostly from the hand gestures. What she wasn't expecting was for Angus to try to peel away her ear... She recoiled, a sharp yelp escaping in shock from the sudden touch. A look of confusion took over Gus' features, and he took her hand, scratching at the skin, like he was going to scratch away body paint. The girl let him, looking as equally confused.

At the same time, a large, round creature approached, sitting next to Gus in view. He looked like a giant blowfish, with a humanoid face. The creature oozed green and yellow pus, like he was sweating it, and everything he touched left behind a trail of snot-like slime. The creature bleched loudly, and grunted, looking over at the group and waving. Cas backed away politely, having knowledge of what the creature was, while Adrian and Angus looked shocked and disgusted. Except Angus looked more shocked than Adrian, and let out a loud screech, trying to back away, but falling from the stool.

Ade’s mouth hung open as the beast approached, the cocky smile from his mouth fading. He tried to scrape Gus off the ground by his feet, shocked eyes still firmly fixed on the creature in front of him. The doctor awkwardly picked Gus up by the forearm and dragged him up, recovering some of his composure and forcing a smile at the beast, who seemed offended by their display of disgust.

“Oh…hello…you…” Ade stammered, his eyes scanning up and down it’s body for some clue of it’s gender. He found none, and cast a look behind him as he started to drag an awestruck Gus away, “Sorry about my brother, there, he’s…he’s not used to being outside…very much…” He murmured, wincing as he realised it sounded like he was describing a poorly-trained pet rather than his human, older brother. The creature trembled (it was hard to tell whether this was a positive or negative response), covering Gus’ flailing leg in the pus-like slime.

The older Scot yelled again, and Ade patted him on the shoulder, whispering in his ear harshly, “Stop freaking out, idiot. You’re gonna get us both in serious trouble with these things if you carry on.” Adrian looked behind him, seeing that they weren’t too far away from Cas – and therefore safety. “Just smile and back away, nice and slowly,” He hissed, the false smile steadily crawling further and further up his cheeks as he nodded and chuckled nervously at the confused, alienated crowd.

Angus was beginning to grasp the actual reality of the situation; they were dealing with aliens. Non-costumed, actual, aliens. He felt faint, and stumble backwards towards Cas when the ooze-creature left a giant slime trail down his clothes. Cas no longer was smiling, save a polite one directed at the ooze monster.

The Lieutenant strode forward, tugging Angus away from Adrian and wrapping his arm through the loop of the other's tightly. "Had a bit too much, I believe." He murmured in the universal tongue, to the ooze creature, "I apologize." Gus recoiled from the alien, Cas, when the new language was used. He looked over to Adrian, and mouthed the words silently, "Wave, please." Cas waved smartly at the ooze, and gave a slight nod to the girls, who were left sitting in a circle, extremely confused as to what just happened.

Cas led the trembling Gus to a nearby bench, Adrian close behind, and began listening to Gus' expected, shocked, babbler of statements like, "This is not a prank..." Or, "You guys would not go nearly this far for a prank." The officer just nodded, agreeing with Gus. Letting the situation really sink in.

Adrian did as he was told without protest, not wanting to get slobbered on by the creature, and waved politely as they shuffled away, Gus in hand. The doctor drew a hand through his auburn curls and sighed as they put some distance between them and the confused group of aliens, “God. You can see that pissing-off aliens runs in the family, can’t you?” He sniffed, a nervous smirk on his face as he looked back at the group, which were slowly dispersing. His eyes flicked back to Gus, who was staring blankly in front of him and trembling, wide-eyed and blabbering. Ade sighed, sitting himself next to the Scot and patting his shoulder.

“I tried to tell you, Gus, but…” He winced, knowing it probably wasn’t the time for saying I told you so. “…I guess it’s not really something you believe until you experience yourself.” Gus looked up at his younger brother with fearful eyes, pausing his confused speech and furrowing his brows. Ade gave him a few seconds for Angus to think it through, for it to really sink in, before continuing. “Still…It’s not that bad, is it? They might look a little odd and…behave a little weirdly but they’re not all that different. Like you saw – some of them even speak English.” The doctor wore a sheepish grin as he tried to explain it to his brother, nudging him in the side with his elbow. “And besides, we’re only here so you can understand where Cas came from. I mean, it’s not like he’s one of them. Two eyes, one nose, no slime-leaking orifices…” He lowered his voice for the last part, stifling a snigger.

“He’s 100% human – and that’s all that matters. Right, Cas?” Ade raised his voice and shot a hopeful look at his lover.

Cassidy just sat back, and let the brothers have their moment. Finally, Gus believed them. Finally. But, now was the question of wiping his memory, or not wiping his memory. He sighed, watching the two from a few feet away. If he wiped Gus' memory, he would most definitely incur the wrath of Adrian. Or, just his disapproval, and they were together, and this was Ade's family. So, dragging Gus to Andromeda to be traumatically forced to wipe his memory, would probably step on a few toes. And who was to say this would not happen again...? If the memory was triggered, Gus would remember, and possibly tell everyone, or end up in a loony bin, or just plain making a scene. Maybe it is better just to make sure he knows, but does not tell a soul...

Cas looked up, disturbed from his thoughts by the question. He looked suddenly taken aback, and his face scrunched up in confusion, followed by a look like he was making a decision in his mind. He tilted his head to each side, eyes looking up, before he looked at Adrian with an overly-sounding, "Yeah- sure, Adrian." He was not too sure he should be exactly lying to Adrian, so he did not exactly lie. "Two eyes, one nose, and no slime~" He chimed in return, chuckling nervously.

Gus' jaw dropped at the response, and he backed a foot away, behind Adrian in shock. Cas grinned at Gus' unsure attitude, so he stuck out a hand, "Cas Petar, from Gliese 581g. I'm Gliesian, but human." Gus did not take the hand, and backed away a bit further, behind Adrian. Cas rolled his eyes, and removed his hand from hanging in the air, "What a wuss..." He muttered.

Adrian sniffed at the staggered response, squinting at his partner’s nervous, dark eyes. It hadn’t even occurred to him that Cassidy might not be wholly human, even if he was from another planet – and his eyes quickly flicked up and down his companion’s body, half-expecting him to have sprouted an extra leg. But he still looked like a person, no different from anyone else he’d seen at home. So the doctor merely raised his eyebrows, but shot a look at the Lieutenant that promised, ‘We’ll discuss this later’.

Ade rolled his eyes, still irritated by Gus’ intolerant behaviour towards Cas. “Don’t be a baby. It’s just a hand. Besides-” He turned around to face the Scot cowering behind him, like a scared child, ““He’s no different to how he was when you met him last night. Why let a few little details like…the planet he was born on…get in the way?”

The doctor’s facial features softened as he spoke, his deep green eyes narrowing, “He’s my partner, Gus. It means a lot to me that you accept him.” He murmured. Although, technically it wasn’t true – he would probably still date Cas either way – there was a hint of genuineness to his voice as he pleaded with his brother. Ade nodded over to Cassidy, widening his eyes as if he expected Gus to do something miraculous.

Cas pursed his lips as he was examined by his love, and just stood there. "Two eyes. One nose and one mouth. I don't know what you are looking for, Ade. Another foot somewhere?" He joked, before dabbing at his nose, "My nose is a bit runny today... Or... Is it? I may be related to slime sac." He stuck his tongue out at Adrian when he raised his brows, then puckered his lips, "Mwah." He whispered, giggling at Gus' slight recoil, despite not being on the receiving end of said gesture.

Gus was shaky. He sure did not appreciate being reprimanded about accepting aliens. He should never have even been asked to accept an alien! Not in his lifetime. This is not natural. He thought, grimacing. I'm about... Three-thousand years in the future right now? I'm dead, officially! My entire family is dead. He took a sweeping glance across the room, observing all the aliens. But, I am very much... Alive. Somehow.

Gus turned his disrupted attention back to Adrian, and nodded absently. He gulped, metaphorically choking on a new idea: He wants me to accept his new BOYFRIEND. He stared, wringing his hands nervously. A boyfriend is one thing. A tough thing. But his... ALIEN boyfriend. Gus shook his head, backing away, "Whit ur ye? An' whit is 'at... hin'?! Hoo can ye possibly..." (What are you? And what is that... Thing?! How can you possibly...) The Scot suddenly remembered the consequences of his disobedience. His inability to accept the alien. Your mind will be wiped.

Suddenly, as if Gus' entire mindset pivoted on an axis, he changed his demeanor. "Braw. Ah guess he hasnae caused me real harm." (I guess he hasn't caused me real harm.) Of course the Scot was still distrustful of Cas, completely. But he was not about to provoke his own... Mind altering.

A grin broke out on Ade’s face. He was so glad to hear his brother’s change of heart and reassuring words that he failed to notice the unsure facial expression and reluctant tone behind them. “Nope. You’re absolutely right. He hasn’t hurt either of us. The exact opposite, in my case.” He nodded, patting Gus on the shoulder. “-And I’m guessing not many people from the 21st century get free rides into the future, right Cas?” Ade beamed at his lover, despite the fact he hated the future and time travel altogether, and that Gus was only speaking out of fear, not out of genuine compassion. His eyes glazed over with happiness, his fear of being rejected by his closest family fading away.

“Infact-” Ade smirked, pulling Gus closer so their shoulders knocked together, “-I’m sure Cassidy could set you up with some of the...you know...alien chicas, if you wanted.” He winked at the Lieutenant, “I’m sure those green ladies at the bar wouldn’t mind having some more…fun with you.” He let out a quiet chuckle at Angus’ horrified facial expression, and he fake-beckoned them over, even though they were long gone. Angus swatted his hand away, looking embarrassed. “Or…maybe not. But I mean…Lydia’s single, isn’t she, Cas?” Ade elbowed Angus again, “She’s a human.”

Gus, shaky and sweaty, grinned too. More glad he got away from the lie, than his brother's happiness at the moment. Cas, however, stood opposite to him with a scrutinizing lifted brow. Cas replied slowly to Adrian, still staring at Gus, "Yeah, not many. Should be grateful, honestly, because how many people get the chance?" He pointed out, the same expression directed at the taller of the two Scots.

Cas tore his unsure gaze away from Adrian, at the intimation that maybe Gus wanted more green lady attention. He chuckled, "A-zaam I'm sure he wants that." Pausing, the Lieutenant huffed with a smile, "Well- You did seem to enjoy their attentions, earlier." With a sweeping glance around the room, elevating himself to his tip-toes, "Lyd's not the type to be caught with primitive beings, really, but you know what?" He pointed across to a few stands away, "There's a human over there." His attention was directed at a tall young man, running a travelling supply stand. Plenty of blankets hung from the wooden cart, shielding the human almost from view.

He was slender, and wearing tight futuristic attire, mostly black, save for a poncho-type shawl, that was raggedy and brightly colored, like the blankets he was selling. Cas smirked, "Well- at least if you hook up, he has plenty of comfy blankets to use for.. Well, you know." He winked, chuckling at Gus' horrified expression.

Adrian faltered as he noticed his brother’s sudden switch from happiness to horror again. “…Cassidy, come on.” He groaned, shooting his partner a dirty look. The blanket guy looked absentmindedly over to them, and cocked an eyebrow at the two Scots staring at him. Adrian smiled weakly at his brother, awkwardly wrapping an arm around his shoulder and turning his attention away from the man. “He’s joking, Angus. It’s a future thing. Everyone assumes you’re…in an open relationship with the universe.” He mumbled and gestured vaguely with his hand, failing to find the word he was looking for, omnisexual. “He knows you’re not into guys, right, Cas?”

He tugged Gus to face away from the Lieutenant, “Either way…we can sort you out with someone later. The point is, there are lots of good things in the future, too…like the...advanced healthcare…and the food,” Ade frowned at the sharp snort Cas gave behind him, and rolled his eyes. “Okay, I’m not a fan of the food personally, but maybe it’ll be more to your tastes…”

The auburn-haired Scot chuckled lightly for a few seconds, urging Angus slightly more forward so they put more distance between them and Cas. “Seriously, though, Gus…” He said, shooting an unsure look to the Lieutenant over his shoulder. “Now that you know all this stuff…you’ll keep mum about it, won’t you? I mean, you heard what he said earlier. He has to erase your memory – or worse – if they think you might cause a problem.” Adrian said, his voice almost a whisper, “But since you’re my brother, and he’s my partner…I think I can convince him not to. But you need to promise us you won’t say a word to anyone. I know this is all so sudden, and pretty crazy, but – but -” He shrugged, narrowing his eyes at Gus, “We can trust you, can’t we?” He asked, blatantly under the illusion that Gus had any choice in the matter.

Cas shrugged, "You said you weren't into guys." And so the lecture began, "And besides, what is a concrete sexuality anyway. If you free yourself from the imaginary boundaries of the ability to love, and grasp that a person is a person, undefined by a gender assigned to them at birth, you'll find love is just love. And you did not need all that definition, but instead ambiguity. And you love someone for their person, not their body features. Love is a sky-way, undefined and limitless."

The two were already walking away, as Cas had lost himself, justifying himself to nobody in particular, save a few confused strangers looking over their shoulders cautiously at him. Yes, of course, they all already knew that. So who could he possibly be speaking to? Cas rolled his eyes, and followed Ade and Gus silently.

Gus' eyes were wide, but he had stopped shaking. He was not harmed, after all. In fact, he seemed perfectly fine. The only thing about this situation now, was, it just seemed somehow wrong. It was like his brother was in love with a creature. An unknown entity. Cas might as well be an animal. He nodded along to Ade's request, "Ay coorse, Adrian." With a brief smile, to reaffirm his nod of agreement, Gus had promised.

Cas stood a few feet behind, his eyes slightly narrowed. Even if Adrian trusted his brother, Cas did not completely yet. It would take more than a simple agreement for that. He walked up to them confidently, a fake smile plastered to his face. He placed a heavy hand on Gus' shoulder, and the other jumped. Cas just laughed, but deep down scowled. Classic sign of the fear of the unknown. Humans fear the unknown.
