Hello and welcome to the character sign-ups tab where you should submit your personage of choice. A few rules of submission include:

• Each player is allowed only one character

AN IMPORTANT thing to note is that despite taking on a role as a character myself, I would also like to be the GM, as in describing the locations and certain occurrences along the way. Appearance:

Hoshi is a slender young woman with soft curves. She has pale, milky skin, but does have some scars on her form, thankfully not too many. Her eyes are a pale pink, and her hair is black, with parts of her bangs dyed in pastel colors. Her facial expressions change quickly, and she can be read like an open book due to her lack of acting talent. Not only are her eyes the window to her soul, but all of her expressions are as well.


Clothing choice: Hoshi mostly has a pastel-goth style. It puts emphasis on matching pastel colors with black. Patterns that often appear on her clothes are crowns, skulls, bones, eyeballs, bats and unicorns. She mostly wears oversized sweaters. Of course, she usually has on some sort of flower crown as well. She does wear accessories and jewelry as well, but not fancy, extravagant rings and necklaces with genuine gemstones. Her most frequently seen pocketbook is in the shape of a horse, and it has skeletal patterns on it. She has other pocketbooks, in shapes like hearts and eyeballs and whatnot. She loves to wear leggings, or skirts. But she's rarely seen while wearing jeans. She doesn't like them, and believes them to be uncomfortable.


Behavioural Information


Good Qualities: Hoshi is a vibrant and easily-excitable young woman who loves to write. She has a creative, fantasizing mind, and is very good at creating settings and stories very quickly. She enjoys being the center of attention a bit too much, but she isn't self-conscious and doesn't really care about being "ladylike" or "sophisticated". Her top priority is to succeed by being herself. Her outgoing and at times unpredictable nature seems to draw others to her. She isn't that good of a liar, or an actor. In all honesty, she can be read like an open book. Her emotions are often betrayed on her face, no matter how hard she tries to hide them. But she has thick-skin and isn't easily offended. But she's good with studying and schoolwork. She tends to work very hard to get the best grades she possibly can.


Still, she trusts people when they've earned it. Her trust is earned a bit easily, but not too easily. She's fast to make friends, and her habit of inviting new kids to sit with her has made her quite popular as well. Hoshi is a night owl, and she doesn't get up late, either. She has a ton of energy to spend all day long.


Even if she's disorganized, it doesn't take her too long to find something that she needs. Hoshi is very much a team player, and she loves to collaborate with her friends on just about anything. During group projects, everyone always seeks her out because she does more than her fair share of work. The only projects she hates are math ones. Math is her work subject by far. She's good with the sciences, but she can't draw to save her life. The flaws that she's conscious of can tend to irritate her. She wants to be strong in every area of school, but doesn't have enough money for tutoring.


Hoshi is still very much a strong person with the ability to persevere through many hardships, as she has done so in the past. That being said, her emotional and mental constitution has weakened over the years. That being said, she is still a person who tries to be kind and helpful to just about anyone who needs it.


Bad Qualities:


Yet, she can lack intuitiveness, and not know when she's making others uncomfortable. While she is clever and creative when writing, she isn't good with hatching elaborate schemes in real life. While she's book smart and socially amiable, she can tend to be an idealist rather than a person who truly depends on actual facts. She can tend to daydream or get carried away with her plans and aspirations, rather than face reality. She at times uses her daydreams to get away from the harshness of reality. When she doesn't want to face cold, hard facts, she flees into an imaginary world. Hoshi absolutely hates those who talk behind their friends' backs. It upsets her whenever she hears that a friend has been gossiping about her, and she's had to break it off with multiple friends before due to this.


Hoshi is more than a bit disorganized. Her room is disorganized, her desk is disorganized, and her bag is disorganized... But, for some reason that she can't even figure out she tends to prefer it that way. She refers to it as it as "chaotically organized". And maybe she does sometimes hide her loneliness behind an excited and vibrant facade, even when she's not happy... She can deal with being the brunt of a joke, but it still hurts deep down. Whenever someone verbally attacks her, she just ignores it. If it gets especially bad, she might lash out, like any other person would. Some ridicule doesn't really hurt her, but she can become rather worn down quickly. Hoshi isn't a very competitive person. Competition and rivalry admittedly make her anxious, and it can make her stomach hurt as well.

Background Information


History: Hoshi's parents were young when they got married and had her. Although very much in love previous to her birth, her mother became less than enthusiastic about raising her. Her mother was the type of person who didn't want to need to prepare her kids for a vacation or outing, she just wanted to go. This resulted in a divide in Hoshi's parents' relationship, even before she learned how to say her first word. Her parents divorced before she turned five, and her mother had no interest in keeping her. Her mother suffered from numerous issues of her own, mentally and physically, and didn't believe herself as capable enough to care for a child. Hoshi was therefore raised by her mellow, artistic father. Although they didn't have too much excess money to be spending, the two of them were happy enough.


Hoshi had dreams to become a writer from a young age. She aspired to be like her father, creative and kind. Although after he lost his job, she was forced to work as well. Her employer was rather unkind, and even abusive at times. The situation was terrible. She refused to quit, because she wanted to get the money, but at the same time, she became very anxious about going to work. This only strengthened her resolve to want to become an author, so she wouldn't have to work under anyone besides perhaps a publishing company. She hated working with the general public, due to the fact that so many people around her were rude. Her coworkers hadn't of been the happiest people, and often took out their misfortune upon her.


Coupled with her job, several of her friends back-stabbed her by gossiping about her. She broke it off with those friends, and has felt a bit lonely ever since. Her feelings after the betrayal were dark and isolated. Still, Hoshi somehow managed to live through her terrible job, and quit when her father got a new one. Her father getting a job was the start of a new era in her life, and a much happier one at that. She started to write in the school newspaper, as well as becoming the head of the author's club. Yet, she never really made any friends that she hung out with outside of school. It didn't really matter, although from time to time, she became lonely and she still does. She became much happier during her second year of high school, and on from there.

She loves video games, mostly visual novels such as otome games, or even fighting games. She has dabbled in photography, as she can't really draw to save her life. Hobbies she isn't very interested are ones like playing sports or scrapbooking.

  A youthful man who could be easily mistaken for a 15 year old boy, Elio stands at 5'7 (1.70 metres) and weights 145 lbs (65 kg). He is a rather average person with average coloured light brown hair, average darker eyes and a rather... average built. Nothing strikes him as peculiar at first, yet what makes others remember the tanned kid with the Italian accent is the radiance he emits constantly, which is that of pure ecstasy. His face shines with joy and is constantly adorned by a wide smile, his lips curling in a way to makes others deluded that he knows something more than he lets on. Yet, his gaze gives away that Elio is in fact a carefree spirit not bound by too many thoughts if any at all.
  
  His skin sparkles with the heat of a summer day, locks carry the saltiness of the ocean's deep mystical waters and eyes beam like the sun's rays on anything that catches his interest.
  
  Clothing choice: Growing up in a village, he is mainly used to old inexpensive and light articles, something people have noted and are puzzled about. Despite being introduced to modern, top of the line clothing, Elio seems unable to change his ways as they carry with themselves nostalgia and the memory of playing out in the streets as a child. His chosen attire are plain white or brown shirts, bright loose tank tops and either boots or worn out trainers. Some necessary accessories to complete his simple figure are a hat of any kind but mostly caps or straw ones as well as a silver cross necklace hanging low from his neck.

  Good Qualities: Adventurous, Loving, Calm, Accepting, Imaginative
  
  Elio is pretty much the walking definition of a "flower child" with his simple and loving ways. The man is someone who adores everything on Earth - people, plants, animals and if he could embrace the world he certainly would. Being raised a Catholic he is fond of God or just the simple existence of a higher entity and views life as its greatest creation with its untamed ways, beautiful flow and colourfulness to rival the finest paintings. Actually, our planet to Elio is God's canvas. A masterpiece that he is honoured to be a part of and want to explore. Thus he makes constant travelling plans and goes on journeys every summer, while dragging along with himself anyone and everyone he can find since "the more the merrier". His way of travelling is also quite peculiar as the man prefers odd vehicles to reach far away mysterious lands such as boats, vans, bicycles. As a matter of fact, his all times favourite trip around Southern Asian happened on a tuck tuck. Some might call it stupidity but in his eyes its just imagination. Thinking outside the box or rather just making the box different, drawing on it.
  
  To him people are usually too preoccupied with thinking outside of what is in front of them and thus miss the opportunity to acknowledge the way said thing can be changed for the better, to be made diverse. Thus, through being drunk with daydreaming they overlook the potential of what is under their noses. Such individuals are a mystery to Elio, though he still accepts them as who they are. This is probably one of the man's best qualities - the fact that he is not at all fast to judge. He takes his time to accept people and believes that everyone can be interesting as long as you give them some time. This, naturally, makes him a great friend and, when combined with his laid-back demeanour, Elio is priceless - someone to listen and understand, cheer up and relief tension, love you unconditionally.
  
  Bad Qualities: Gullible, Careless, Constantly Happy, Forgetful
  
  As wonderful as he can be on a good day, Elio has his flaws as everything in this world and his biggest one is, in fact, derived from his cheerful personality as he simply does not know when to quit goofing around and actually be serious. As a result, he sometimes acts awfully inappropriately and can easily insult others, despite this not being his intention in the least. This is one of the reasons some come to hate him and the other is his absent-minded, forgetful conscience. Honestly, some have joked around that Elio possesses the memory span of a gold fish - 2 seconds - and then he goes off doing something else entirely. Another thing to connect him to a goldfish is Elio's gullible nature. Being loving and accepting sure is nice but a person has to bear the consequences of others taking advantage of said traits. As unfortunate as it sounds, the man can be easily tricked into doing or believing something "for the sake of friendship", "for the sake of love", "for the sake of God". Even after being tricked on multiple occasions, he still does not learn his lesson and continues being unaware of the cruelty of some individuals. "A simple village boy", they call him.
  
  And indeed he sometimes show qualities of exactly this archetype as he can be quite the procrastinating, happy go lucky idiot, who doesn't have a care in the world and refuses to acknowledge any problems that might have arisen.

  Elio was born to a lower middle class family in the miniature yet breathtaking Castelsardo, Italy, to a tailoring mum married to a fisherman who was away most of the time, going on long voyages. He was the third and youngest child thus possessed tow older siblings - both boys - who were 10 and 16 years his seniors. Although not being fortunate enough to come into existence into a wealthy household - on the contrary, his could be considered borderline poor - Elio experienced a childhood some could only dream of. He resided in a spectacularly colourful village by the sea and thus spend his days running around the establishment, going to the beach and playing games on the streets with his neighbours, despite some of them living on the other end of Castelsardo. After all, it was a pretty small place. Yet, it was enough at the time. Elio adored the security and community there, the fact that the seagulls were his best friends and he got to fall asleep to the crashing of waves on the rocks bellow his and his brothers' bedroom window. The fact that he could look up at the sky at night and see the whole milky way, that he could run around in the streets and not be in danger of getting in a car crash. The fact that he had a supportive family. They truly did play a huge role in the young boy's life since they planted the idea of love and respect in his heart as well as introduced him to God. Despite nowadays loving all religions equally, Islam, Hinduism, Christianity, he still cannot forget the memory of going to a cathedral for the first time with his father and praying. The building seemed huge to him at the time, although he latter visited quite larger ones, and he could feel both how small and grand he was, insignificant yet important because despite being just a dot on the canvas of life, it would not be the same without him.
  
  
  His parents also gave him the love he has for art, especially his mum, who had in her youth been a promising painter. Yes, her dreams had given no results, yet she wanted for her youngest to succeed where she had failed. And so the woman began training Elio at a young age and was pleased to see that he took interest. It was also her idea to send him off to study in Britain the last two of his high school years (the reason why she forced him to attend private English lessons since the age of 5) and latter on proceed with his education at a University of the Fine Arts there. As a matter of fact, he will be going off to said institution after summer is over... But, in the meanwhile, he has decided to use his last year before university to travel with some good folk and celebrate life.

Nationality and Birthplace: American; born in a small town in Michigan called Mullbrook

Appearance

Clothing choice: Usually jeans and and a comfy shirt of the tee or flannel variety. When it gets hot, gym shorts instead of jeans. Wears a leather bracelet given to him by his late sister.

Behavioral Information

Good Qualities: His most remarkable quality is his nice guy nature. Danny is very friendly and kind to everyone, even shady characters, probably stemming from his upbringing in a safe, neighborly small town. There's always a smile or joke to greet you. Usually, his jokes are about himself and delivered in such a lighthearted manner you know he doesn't mean it. He is 100% a people person. Caring, funny, loyal, most of the qualities desired in a good friend. He also has a knack for card and slight-of-hand tricks, making it easier to pass the hours.

Bad Qualities: Occasionally, he uses his knack for slight-of-hand for evil and picks a pocket or two for fun. Otherwise, Danny is very inexperienced in the ways of the world outside of his tiny home. Not naive, but uninformed. He trusts strangers a little too much, and is used to the sheltered life where anything deemed improper isn't talked about. He can occasionally come off as very close-minded and conservative as a result. Also, despite his happy-go-lucky personality, Danny suffers with infrequent bouts of depression that hit with relatively no triggers. In his home town, there was no such thing as depression, so he had to suck it up. When in such a bout, his entire demeanor changes and he becomes very hostile. This has yet to happen.

Peculiarities: Twists his bracelet when agitated, refused to be anywhere near people drinking alcohol, almost always occupies his hands with shuffling cards, tossing a baseball back and forth, etc.

Background Information

History: Grew up in a small town called Mullbrook, he had a sheltered life. He liked to go school, played soccer and baseball, had two parents and a sister six years younger. When his sister was born, he was over the moon. She became most of his world; he spent every free minute playing with her and taking care of her. They grew up well together; he was a great role model, a perfect, all-American boy.

Tragedy struck a few months after Danny's 12th birthday. His parents and sister got into a car accident on the way to pick him up from soccer practice. His parents went to the hospital with minor injuries, but his sister, then 6, was DOA. The accident was caused by a drunk driver running a red light and T-boning them. The loss crushed their family, but like good small town Americans, they carried on until it wasn't crushing anymore. Danny adjusted well, but the pain of it is deeply embedded.

After his sister's death, life carried on as usual. Danny went to school and got slightly above average grades. He played sports, and although he wasnt the star, he was up there. He had a few girlfriends, but never anything serious; girls seemed to be disappointing when there wasnt a dark, brooding bad boy underneath his happy exterior. That, and the small town gals were too shallow for him. He craved a little more culture and depth than they and the town could offer and left as soon as he could.

Nationality and Birthplace: Her parents are rich Japanese immigrants, however she was born in Canada before moving to where the rp is taking place.


Birth date: November 4th, 1997 [17 years old]

She stands at 5'3" in her heeled shoes and takes pride in her smooth complexion. She's petite and gets mistaken for younger than she is quite often, it's a mix between her youthful face and higher voice and childish mannerisms that's to blame.

Clothing choice: Her clothing choice is wild and eccentric, she's big on mixing and matching her styles with cute skirts and punk cutoff shirts, always leaning towards showing off how adorable she thinks she is. She's just kind of overall adorable. Having money meant she could always buy the craziest fashion trends. Open the spoiler for the kinds of outfits she likes wearing cause she's a doofus.

Good Qualities: Carlie is fiercely loyal, clinging onto her friends with a tight grip. She is always willing to whip out her credit card to get her friends out of a financial bind. She may not be the most optimistic, but she's always willing to step up to the plate when someone needs cheering up. Even if her sense of humour is rather crude at times, she's got that charm that makes people want to stay.


Bad Qualities: Carlie is a childish and pushy individual, always wanting to get her way. She was coddled as a child, not having a license despite being 17. The girl is narcissistic and it isn't uncommon to catch her snapping a selfie on hr newest generation iPhone or unabashedly praising herself.


Peculiarities: She has a compulsive habit of twisting her hair around her fingers and sucking on her pinky finger when she's bored or stressed. It's also not uncommon to hear her humming to herself while she's doing something.


History: Carlie spent the entirety of her schooling from grades K-9 being homeschooled or in a pretentious rich kid academy. After countless years of begging, her parents finally conceded and let her go to a public high school.


Having grown up in a higher class setting, Carlie is still struggling to not pull out the snobby attitude she's grown accustomed to see people use towards people of lower class. Her parents were pushed into an arranged marriage of two high net worth businesses and moving overseas to the Americas. Carlie was born in Canada but has lived all over, having English-native nannies to make sure she grows up like a normal child without having any Japanese subculture in her life. It took a lot of begging and puppy dog eyes to let her parents let their little princess out of their sights for the whole summer.

Likes: Believe it or not, she loves to learn, she loves electronics and ghost stories, not to mention she's a huge gossip monger. She's also a huge nerd when it comes to reptiles.


Dislikes: she hates bugs and when people think it's funny to make racial stereotypes at her, she's also terrified of heights and big animals.


Hobbies: She wants to be a translator when she's out of high school, she can already speak English, French, and Japanese without much difficulties. She also likes making ridiculous photo edits involving her friends or the celebrities she idolizes.

Good Qualities: Tenprints is good natured, as she grew up with a very caring mother who was always on her side. She is very calm in harsh situations, she volunteered to work alongside ambulance workers when she was 16 She grew up with many siblings and is very patient.


Bad Qualities: Tenprints has terrible allergies, and this may cause for her to have to sit out on a few things when they begin to get the best of her. She may have a hard time making conversation due to her being homeschooled most her life, this hurt her social skills a bit. Another thing about her is that she has anxiety, and she may seem distant from others at times.


Peculiarities: She bites her nails to the point that she tears her cubicles, and she has a tendency to shake her leg whenever sitting, and sometimes while standing. She bites her lip constantly.


Background Information


History: Tenprints grew up with her mother, and her 3 younger sisters in Nashville Tennessee, she never really knew her father because she was only 5 when he died.   Lukas is a young man with a constant small smile plastered on his face as he peers down on most with his 6'2" stature. He has a somewhat tanned skin, and dark brown eyes that looks golden when the light hits it at a certain angle. Lukas has a strong nose complete with a lean jaw, directly inherited from his father. His hair is a dirty blonde, though it's kept short and almost entirely covered by his favorite grey beanie that he rarely takes off. Lukas isn't a terribly muscular man though he isn't quite a twig either. He'd say it himself that he was of average size for a man of his height.

  Most of the people who've "met" Lukas would usually say: "Yeah, he kinda fits in a coffee shop. All that upbeat craziness and all." Lukas Eberhardt is the type of person who appreciates the little things in life. For example, he appreciates his small side job at this small coffee shop that nobody cares about to even know it's name. The once bright-red letters had faded over the years, and the owner didn't even care at all to replace it. It's known as "That One Coffee Shop" ever since. Back on topic, Lukas appreciates his small job at That One Coffee Shop. He actually has a love-hate relationship with it. He hates working the very fast-paced, tiring shift, and serving the fast-paced, busy people that goes in it. But, he does love the way his boss would grudgingly hand out his pay, being too cheap and all. See? It's the little things. Lukas also loves to joke around in his spare time. He hands jokes out like one of those free fliers on the street. Unwanted, and unnecessary. Behind all his crazily sunny, and slapstick attitude however, hides a very caring young man. He cares a lot especially when it comes to friends, and would go through great lengths to protect them.

  With that being said, there are some negative parts about his personality. Lukas, as those who are very close to him might now know, is a very, very stubborn idiot who is sometimes slow to comprehend things and how they work. Television, computers, cellphones; name any electronic gadget (or any device), give him a few minutes with it, and it will either stop working completely or explode. He is also notoriously known for popping up at moments or instances where he isn't supposed to. Not only that, but he's a tad too reckless, and a compulsive liar as well. There is no knowing what might happen next with Lukas. He's also constantly looking for thrills or anything to make his life one hell of a ride. Top that with his bat-shiz crazy personality, and we might have a pretty good explanation for the destruction of human kind.

  Lukas may not admit it, but he's a guy born practically on the streets. He may tell you that he has a jet pack, or that he'd been to Hawaii, but he never had, or had been to, any of those things or places. Well, he did build a jet pack once, but that only brought him an ugly bruise on his head. Lukas is a by-product of a lead singer of a loser band, and a desperate, hormone-filled teenage girl. As you can now see, he really is a by-product. Something that wasn't needed, something that's akin to trash. And Lukas knows this fact all too well. When he was born, neither mom, nor dad ever wanted to answer to custody. So, little Lukas was dropped off to a doorstep of an alcoholic. Well, life isn't always a fairy tale, so that was that. Lukas grew up with an alcoholic as a father, but it wasn't that bad. He's given a room, even if it's too tiny for a person to live in, and food, even if it's too little to live off of. See? It's the little things. Luckily for him, his alcoholic adoptive father actually has the money to send him off to school, but only up to high school and no further. When Lukas started earning money, he decided to provide for the both of them, of course this didn't stop his love for adventure and constant thrill seeking.

Clothing choice: Max will often be seen in one of two attires. The first will be a white suit, as he likes to look professional when he is busy with work. His clothing often makes it clear what his intentions are. If dressed formally, he is less likely to look for fun or associate with people as friends, preferring to instead treat everyone as colleagues. When he dresses "casually", he opts to wear jeans and a white shirt under a tan or black vest. His wardrobe doesn't extend further than those two outfits, and he feels uncomfortable in anything else. His glasses come and go, with little to no reason behind them.

Good Qualities: Max knows when it's time to have fun and when it's time to be serious. He thinks things through rationally, never taking things for face value. He's known to be a natural born leader, sometimes to a fault, and will gladly step up to the plate if none of his friends feel that they are capable of taking on a task.


Bad Qualities: When Max is in his "serious" mood, he can come off as cold to people that are close friends, as he doesn't give anybody special treatment. When he is in his fun mood, he can sometimes cast aside all inhibitions, doing things just for the sake of doing them, which can lead to a sticky situation or two if he isn't kept in check. Sometimes, he comes across as a control freak, designating himself as the "leader" when no leader is really needed.


Peculiarities: Wears glasses that reflect, making it impossible to see his eyes. Relies on sarcasm too heavily. Loves dice.


Background Information


History: Max was born into a small family in a small town in Michigan. He was heavily sheltered as a kid, rarely leaving his house or interacting with other children. His parents pressured him to keep his grades high, and he did, allowing him a choice of some of the most prestigious colleges in the country.


Max went to Bradley University in Illinois and for the first time in his life, was away from his parents and other authority figures. When he made friends, they were able to pressure him to do things he never would have done before, like blow off classes, stay out into the early hours of the morning, and attend large parties. He found that he actually enjoyed the more wild side of life, but still felt like he should keep himself in check, which is why he now splits himself between formal Max and informal Max. He decided he wanted to travel, leaving college without finishing his degree and roaming the country. Eventually he made friends at (where this trip starts) and made plans to travel with a large group.

History: Born from a single mother who got a sperm donor, Jerylin technically never had a father. Her mother had gotten married at a young age, but the man died in a car accident before they could conceive a child. Jerylin's mother waited for several years to see if she could find someone else, but her heart belonged to her diseased husband. However, Jerylin's mother yearned for a child, so after 4 years of her husband's death, Jerylin was born from subject#108245. She was never rich, but she had enough money to survive. Jerylin began working at a young age selling her baked good around the neighborhood. She then started helping out at a small take out restaurant at the age of 16. All the money that she earned she saved for college.


After many years, Jerylin was finally able to attend college where she met her group of friends. During her studies to become an Electrical Engineer, Jerylin began working part time at her local bookstore and in the on campus computer store. After four years of hard work and surprisingly good grades, Jerylin was finally able to graduate.


Future Goals: Jerylin's goal is to work with the Apple Company and gain enough experience and connections to open up her own electronic gadget and software company. If she gets to make her own gadgets she is planning on bringing back all of the old styled electronics and digitize them. For example, she would love to make a digital record player. There would be a screen next to the record where you can choose a song. Then the song would transfer over to the record, where the data would be temporarily inscribed onto the record and then be able to be played. It would be like pandora or spotify on a record player.
