Fandom Our Journey Across Kalos

_Graphite_

Dreams disappear when the dreamer wakes.
It was a beautiful day in the Kalos Region: the sky above was a bright blue, puffy white clouds dotted the sky, the sun was beaming but not too harshly, and a gentle breeze blew across Aquacorde Town. Standing on the bridge that connected the small town to Route 2 stood a young boy. His arms rested on the bridge's railing as he stared into the crystal clear water below. Within the river he watched as a myriad of fish like Pokémon happily swam about. Curled up on the ground beside him rested a Shinx whose chest expanded and collapsed as it napped. It was moments like this that John truly felt at peace. No obligations or awkward conversations, just him and his Pokémon enjoying a peaceful morning.

He could stand here for hours soaking up all the natural beauty Kalos had; which was something it had plenty of. Maybe just a few more minu- "Hey John are you listening!" The sudden shout of his name nearly caused the boy to jump out of his skin. Even poor Sif was startled as the cub groggily lifted his head. Glancing over his shoulder he spotted the familiar faces of two red-haired girls standing only a few feet away from him. John was so lost in thought that he hadn't even noticed his sisters had finished their little shopping run. How long had they even been standing? "S-Sorry Devola. I didn't even notice the two of comeback." He responded to the girl with messier hair.

"Mhmm." Was the only thing Devola muttered back to her older brother.

"Devola there's no reason to shout. There are people around"." The other girl, Popola, stated.

John watched as the older twin once again responded with a simple shrug of her shoulders. "Right... Anyways I take it the two of you are stocked up on supplies?" He asked his younger siblings who both answered with a nod of their head.

"Are you sure you don't want to come along John? It would make things a whole lot easier with the the three of us looking into this regions mythology." Popola commented.

"No I'm good Popola. Every time mom sends us to a new region to help with her research it's always to work. For once I'd like take it slow. Enjoy myself as it were." John responded with a small smile.

"More like have us do all the heavy lifting." Devola huffed. She then turned to her younger sister and nodded her head in the direction of Route 2. "Come on sis it's time for us to get going. And John... try not to get yourself killed" Without a response from either of the two Devola spun around on her heels and walked off ahead.

"Of course." Before leaving herself, Popola crouched down and gently petted the Sif's head. "You two take care of each other ok!"

"Don't worry Popola the two of us will be fine. Be safe on youre journey as well ok." John quickly embraced his youngest sister and a few moments later the two pulled apart and John watched as Popola darted her way over to Devola. "I hope those two will stay out of trouble." John sighed. "Shinx!" Sif offered a reassuring bark. "Well it looks like it's just the two of us now. There's no need for us to rush anywhere." John commented as he perched himself back onto the bridges railing.

"Can you believe it, Zach? The Kalos Region!" The young Unovan said to his Pokémon companion, a Zorua with a Soothe Bell gently tied around his neck that was perched on the boy's left shoulder. In response, the Zorua grinned and let out an impish giggle. "Dad told me about this place after he came here on a trip once. Sipping hot chocolate under the stars of Lumiose City with all the night-time lights glowing... from what he told me, there's no greater feeling of relaxation in the world." Putting a hand on the little fox's head, Vincent gently rubbed them between their ears. "And don't worry, they've gotta have something for you too, buddy. I don't want you to be left out."

"Zorrr~" Zach purred as he enjoyed his head rubs. "You're going to be my lead actor, after all. I want to make sure you're happy, too, okay?"

Vincent and his Zorua took a brisk look around Aquacorde Town, as it was apparently called. "Two stores that sell Potions and Poké Balls separately? That's... weird. I guess they do things differently here, huh? I don't see a Pokémon Center, either. What happens when your Pokémon get tired, I wonder? They don't just, like, sleep on the ground or something, right? That can't be comfortable."

Going over to the bridge that connected the town to Route 2 over a river, Vincent went over to the bridge's railing as he and Zach, who had leaped off of his shoulder and onto the railing too, glanced down into the water as aquatic Pokémon swam about. "Look at those... oh, those Pokémon might make for a good sketch, what do you think, Zach?" Vincent commented as he turned to Zach, who gave a nod of approval. "Alright, then."

Vincent took out his notebook and pencil and flipped to a blank page, beginning to trace the outline of one of the Pokémon in the water as Zach watched and gently pawed at Vincent's notebook for a sneak peek. "Easy, Zach. I've only just started." Vincent said with a smile.

It was a beautiful day in the Kalos Region: the sky above was the brightest blue, puffy white clouds certainly dotted the sky, the sun was beaming with what many would say was a desirable level of softness, and a gentle breeze was blowing across Aquacorde Town. A girl's blonde hair sat in perfect waves against her chair as she sat at a small table with her parents. Absent-mindedly twirling her hair around her finger, she gazed off into the distance as her parents laid out strict rules for her to follow. A small Chespin danced happily around its owner at a faraway table. She found this strange, although that may be because she believed her Ralts, which sat on another seat at her table and kicked her legs idly, was incapable of smiling. She could hardly wait for her parents to finish blabbering on, as, although she loved them, she was exceedingly excited to get to meet so many new Pokemon. Although she did feel the sting of sadness, she had spent her whole life with them, after all.

Eventually, her parent's tones became less stern and more caring. "So remember, we love you, and come back any time you like," her mother, Gazelle, added sadly. As she returned to the present moment, Chamomile started to feel the reality of this adventure. She exchanged looks with Valkyria, Chamomile giving a reassuring smile, Valkyria staring vacantly in return. Then, she looked towards her parents. Her mother, with her bright green eyes that looked so like her daughter's, and her father, Waylon, with his wavy blonde locks. She would always thank them for... the lessons she had learnt (she supposed), but her good looks, that was certainly worth something. "I will," Chamomile said, with one of her rare, genuine smiles.

"And don't forget about us!" Waylon laughed with a twinkle in his eyes.

"Oh, Waylon... Don't go giving her ideas," Gazelle said to her husband with a smile.

Chamomile let out a small laugh, with a lump forming in her throat. "Oh, uh, I should go get some... Poke Balls and Potions, right?" She asked, looking towards the shops to her right.

"Ah, no, of course not! Don't worry, we've already got that all sorted out," Waylon responded, handing over an assortment of Poke Balls and Potions, which Chamomile put into her bag with a grateful smile.

"Well, this is goodbye then, isn't it? I... I'll miss you," Chamomile muttered, her voice shaky.

"Of course, of course, darling. Goodbye, and I know you'll do wonderful things," Gazelle assured her. As they stood up, Chamomile shared a brief hug with her parents. "Good luck," Gazelle finished, taking a step back and looking at her daughter.

"Bye, Chamomile," Waylon murmured, with a look at the Ralts, which came up to him and hugged his leg. "You'll keep her out of trouble, won't you, Valkyria?"

"Yeah, I'm sure she will," Chamomile sighed, and with a last look at her parents, turned towards Route 2. "Well, it's just the two of us now, isn't it, Valkyria?" Chamomile laughed, as she spotted two boys at the railings of the bridge. "Hey!" she called to the boy with the notebook, rushing forwards. "Whatcha doin'? Ooh, are you drawing something? That's cool. What are you drawing?" she blurted, standing on her tiptoes to try to see what was on the page.

ea98f34670ae2eae638407fb75ba2391.jpg 'Sprits, sprits' goes the spray bottle of medicine applied on the Duskull's forehead. A square band-aid to cover up any debri from infecting the wound. "There, all done~" Said the brunette. Grimm looked up to her with droopy eyes then to his trainer, Zephyr. "Make sure to check up on it and clean it before bed. Your Duskull should be fine after three days." She informed. Grimm hovers into Zephyrs arms who smiles up at the recrptionist. "Thank you so much. I was worried we would be in trouble since there was no pokemart or center for that matter."

"We don't have the buildings but we do carry potions and equipments for traveler's needs. It's a shame the establishments and it's logos makes people assume we don't have such items, and so they skip town. We just have different shops with medicine that's homemade and we even heal pokemon should they need a stop." Zephyr frowned understanding how sometimes it's sad to lose customers or be misinformed without testing thr waters first. Zephyr thought the same thing when arriving with her injured Duskull. She pats said pokemon as he coos out of gratitude.

"Well, maybe I can spread the word out and help. The more trainers arrive, the more they are informed about the truth." Zephyr said. "We would appreciate that, thank you." The brunette bows. "Thank you for attending my pokemon. I must set out to the next town." The brunette waved after giving her a complimentary bag of meds and snacks. "Safe travels, kid!"

Once outside, Zephyr took her own advice to explore the brick city filled with lively people and their pokemon. It was a haven with gorgeous landscape. A river with a brick road it was as though entering a fairy tail. "I could live here, but there wouldn't be any ghost pokemon would there?" She chuckled as Grimm responded. Further ahead were a few people taking a break by the bridge and admire the area. Zephyr thought she could do the same takin a spot in one if the dents. Duskull however decided to float away and greet an electric pokemon from Sinnoh. "Grimm come back!" She called out and walked over to the boy and his shinx as Duskull circled around the two saying "hello". "I'm so sorry about him, he likes to greet other pokemon and their trainers. It's a habit of is. He doesn't know personal space."

Just as Sif was settling himself back down he noticed a small Ghost-Type floating in the direction of him and his trainer. The circling Pokemon had also caught John's attention and as it got a little to close for comfort he used his hand to gently wave it away. He'd hope the little Pokemon wouldn't take his actions too personally. Personal space was something John greatly valued, and it was a precious commodity back in Sinnoh. He was constantly barraged with question about his mother: what was she like, how did she train her Pokemon to become so strong, and of course his favorite how are you going to uphold to someone like her? Those thoughts were quickly pushed aside when he heard the sound of footsteps approaching.

When he turned his attention to his source he noticed a brunette girl making her way towards him. Perhaps this was the Duskull's trainer? His suspicions were soon confirmed when the girl apologized for the Pokemons sudden arrival. Though as the girl spoke John felt himself slowly retreat back into himself. "That much is evident." John managed to mutter in response. He took a moment to look the girls features over and for a split second he found something recognizable about her. How odd. He knew for a fact he had never met someone like her before. John soon turned his attention back to the Duskull and watched as the Ghost Pokemon circled around Sif; who stood on his hind legs and playfully pawed at the Ghost-Type. "That Duskull of yours really is the nosy one isn't it?" He added.

Vincent continued his sketching, now working on the outline of one of the Pokémon's fins...

...until someone came up from behind him.
Vincent nearly crumpled up as his concentration was suddenly broken and he made a stray pencil line by mistake. Clucking his tongue, Vincent turned to the girl who had asked what he was drawing. "I was drawing one of the Pokémon in the water, but now..." Vincent took another look at the outline he had drawn thus far, and turned his head slightly. "...well, I guess the damage is repairable. Don't worry, no harm done. But still, you could have been a bit more patient..." He said to the girl with the hat as Zach nodded in agreement.

Zach noticed the Ralts that accompanied the girl and tilted his head, curious about them. "Oh, what's up, Zach? You want to say 'hi'? Okay, one second." Vincent stowed away his sketching supplies for now and used his now-free hands to pick Zach up off of the railing and set him gently down the Zorua on the ground. Once at ground level, Zach slowly approached the Ralts and, with his trademark grin and giggle, used his Illusion abilities to become a perfect doppelganger of the Ralts, except with a mischievous grin. "Yep, that's one thing about Zoruas-- they like to disguise themselves as other Pokémon. People too, except they kinda have trouble hiding their tails when they do that. Try as I might to help Zach curb that mischievous habit of his, I can only get so far. But, I love him all the same. I had him since a few days after he hatched from his Egg back in Unova, you know." Realizing he had introduced just his Pokémon and not himself, Vincent corrected that. "Oh, and... I'm Vincent Jameson, from Nimbasa City."

Chamomile caught a glimpse of what she thought looked to be an aquatic Pokemon, before realising she had given the unknown artist quite a start. Wow, is he really clucking his tongue at me right now - and telling me to be more patient? Calm down buddy, it was one line. "Oh my gosh, I am so sorry about your drawing!" Chamomile apologised in a high voice, a frown settling on her face. "I am mean, it was looking really good though... Before I made you make that itty bitty mistake, hey? I really hope that you can fix it," she added, putting a hand to her hat so that she could safely nod eagerly.

Chamomile then looked down at the pair of Ralts at her feet. "What a talented little fellow! Poor Valkyria, she has no idea what just happened. Oh, that's the name of my Ralts," she continued, gesturing to the one she thought was hers. Valkyria seemed quite confused and began circling what she assumed had to have been her reflection. "Well, I'm Chamomile Emerald, and I'm from Slateport City, in Hoenn. Anyway, it's so cool that you're from Unova, because I visited there last year! I remember that I went to Nimbasa City, it was sooo cool, I just had SO much fun there. Slateport City's pretty cool, I guess, It's just that I travel a lot, so everywhere else seems much cooler, you know? Although, I do think that I'll stay in Kalos for a bit longer than I usually do - this place is just really nice," She finished with a sigh, before deciding that she needed to learn more about this new person. "So, other than drawing, do you have any other interests, or things that you like to do?"

Zephyr looks back feeling a little awkward to answer. She felt both offended and bad on behalf of her pokemon. Reluctantly she admitted his faults. "Ah...yeah...he is. He tends to get carried away with greetings because of his excitement. It's the only way he knows how to say hello. When I found him, his appearance would spook people and flee at the sight of him as if they encountered the grim reaper. Any chance he gets to say hi is as best as he can get before they judge him." She explained and realized how she may have came off as passive aggressively when it was not her intention. "I'm sorry if thst sounded rude, I just wanted people to get insight on my pokemon. Many people are terrified of ghost type so it saddens me that they don't see a sweeter side to them."

Zephyr turns to Grimm playfully swaying in front of Shinx dodging his attacks but also letting him paw through him. "Perhaps I can reintroduce myself properly. My name is Zephyr, I came from Sinnoh but my home town is Ecruteck City in Johto and recently started my journey."

John quietly listened to the girl as she began to explain the reasoning for her Pokemon's actions. In all honesty her explanation was quite sad. It was that surprising though, people did have their prejudices against Ghost-Types for being too scary. Heck as a kid he was even scared of his mother's Spiritomb before he actually got to know the thing. "That's people for you. Quick to make assumptions before getting to know the thing that's in front of them." John responded as a matter of fact. He found it surprising that the girl had apologized for the way she spoke and responded with a simple, "There's no reason for you to apologize."

Thinking that would be the extent of their conversation John began to turn away but stopped when the girl, now known as Zephyr, spoke again. Of course John was fully aware of what manners where and politely dipped his head as he spoke, "Nice to meet you Zephyr. The name's Johnathan, or John for short. Funny enough I'm actually from Sinnoh myself. Well Celestic Town to be more precise." Zephyr's final words finally hit him. "Wait did you say Ecruteck City? The home of the Bell Tower which is said to be the roost of the Legendary Pokemon Ho-Oh?" For once in this conversation a twinkle of curiosity glimmered in John's eyes.

Vincent shrugged when Chamomile asked if he could fix the mistake in his sketch. "Eh, it's fine. Nothing an eraser wipe or two can't fix, then I can get right back to sketching."

Chamomile then commented about Zach's Illusion ability and how fascinating it seemed to her. "Yeah, they sure don't call Zorua the 'Tricky Fox Pokémon' for nothing. At the breeding center I got Zach's Egg from, they told me Zoruas do that to hide and escape from dangers like stronger Pokémon, and when they evolve, well... those illusions of theirs get even stronger."

Zach, having toyed with Valkyria enough, reverted back to his original form and allowed Vincent to pick him up and place him back on his shoulder. "Oh, you're from Slateport in Hoenn, eh? I heard there are Pokémon contents held there... not that I've ever really participated in anything like that-- a bit weird coming from the son of a pair of stage actors, but what can you do? In any case, I've heard great things about Hoenn from some travelers. Perhaps if I ever get an opportunity, I might bring Zach to the hot springs in Lavaridge."

When asked what else Vincent liked to do besides sketch, he answered, "I mean, I'm no professional artist, that's for sure. If you wanted to see real art, you'd be better off finding Burgh in Castelia City. But... sure, I do like to sketch here and there. As for what else I like to do, well... I know this kinda sounds like every kid's dream, but... I want to be a Gym Leader when I get older, so I'm sort of preparing for that... if that ever does come to fruition." Vincent scratched the back of his head. "It's just... y'know... there hasn't been a Dark-type Gym until Galar came 'round, and... it's kind of unfair that the Elite Four's where Dark Pokémon have gotten their spotlight before then... so to speak. Oh, but you said 'Hoenn'. The first guy in your region's Elite Four is a Dark-user, isn't he? Well, in Unova, we've got someone like that, too. His name is Grimsley-- guy's kind of a mad gambler from what I've heard, but he apparently still has the money to travel to somewhere like Alola."

Realizing he had rambled on for a bit, Vincent shook his head. "But, yeah... I guess you could say I'm sightseeing here myself, maybe looking for Pokémon to befriend and add to my team, too."

Zephyr let out a sigh of relief the boy did not take it to heart. "Oh, what do you know!" She chuckled learning the origin of John's home. "I find that place interesting. It's the home of our dear Arceus. I feel like those who reside within Sinnoh are blessed with unimaginable lore up to the creation of pokemon." She spoke in awe envisioning the history of pokemon and how it came to be beautiful bondage between man and pokemon. At the same time, the eye lights sparked interest within her acquaintance as he practically defined her hometown. "Uh...yeah that's the one." She sweatdrops wearing a nervous smile as to not make it seem as though she was awkward about it, but she was also glad he knew the place and found it interesting as well. "Yes, it is a sacred place, a place of history in our lovely town. A reminder of such a tragedy made into a miracle blessed upon it by Ho-oh. It's my favorite story since I was a child. Do you know it?" She asked.

Zephyr wondered how a boy from Sinnoh would know of it's lore unless he's traveled there in which case it made sense. Still, not many people know too much of Johto except for folks from Kanto. It's a region secluded far from the others. Grimm brought the girl back to her senses as he hovered around her as if to say "I'm back". Zephyr sends him a small smile of acknowledgment. Nearby, there is a boy with a sketch pad and a Zorua talking to a girl. She hadn't imagined being able to see a Zorua upfront before.

"That we are." John muttered in response to Zephyr's opening statement. "To think Sinnoh could be home to such incredible Pokémon: Arceus, Dialga, Palkia, and of course Giratina. The four beings responsible for creating our very universe." The story revolving around these four Pokémon was one of John's personal favorites. He turned his back towards the girl and once again rested his arms upon the railing. He scanned the surrounding area and let out a contented sigh. Neither him, the girl, their Pokémon, nor the scene before them would've existed if it weren't for them; this world was truly a miracle.

Though it may have not appeared so John was indeed listening to Zephyr as she explained the significance of the Bell Tower to her and her people. When she asked John if he new the story revolving around Ecruteck City he offered a nod in response. As she spoke he kept his gaze glued to the sky, "The Bell Tower isn't the only location in Ecruteck City, but there's also the Brass Tower. Some Johto legends say that's where Lugia used to reside. Though it burned down during a lightning strike; taking three other Pokémon along with it. When the fire finally went out Ho-Oh revived the three fallen Pokémon and it is believed that the Brass Tower's destruction is what caused Ho-Oh to abandon the Bell Tower." As if sensing the girls thoughts John began to explain how he knew so much about the lore of another region. "My mother," he momentarily paused, gently biting his lower lip as he though how to best explain it. "Well let's say she's an enthusiast when it comes to Pokémon mythology. Growing up she would tell me and my sisters such incredible stories. She constantly travels to other regions to learn more and as we grew older she brought us along. Johto's one of the regions we have been to a number of times. In fact we've actually been to Ecruteck once or twice, and are one of the few people who are allowed to enter. Though getting permission from both the towers caretakers and Morty took a lot of convincing on my mothers part." He slightly winced at his last words. These where things he didn't need to tell the girl.

Suddenly a light ckicked on in John's head. He could've sworn he'd seen this girl before and this thought ate at him. Sneaking a glance in Zephyr's direction he eyed the girls features yet again. Of course his last trip to Ecruteck had been years ago so the memory was mostly a blur, but he could've sworn he'd seen a young girl with similar features has Zephyr during his time there. It was possible seeing as how she was of course from said city. Realizing that he was practically staring at the girl John quickly dropped his gaze to the floor. Luckily Zephyr hadn't noticed as her attention seemed to be drawn elsewhere. "Something catch you eye?" He asked.

Clementine sipped her coffee as she looked around the small town, she hadn't been back here for a long time she had forgotten how delicious the coffee was from the cafe around here. Alex was next to the coffee and making sure it stayed at least semi warm "Well done my darling little Alex thank you for the help, such a good boy" Clementine said to herself before patting Alex's head making sure to avoid the fire.

She had finished her coffee rather quickly and left a few pokedollars near the cup as Alex shuffled over and onto her hand slowly climbing up onto her shoulder and staying there patiently waiting for Clementines Commands. Clementine started to cross the bridge from here into route 2, it wasn't anything super special but the small river that ran through it and into Santalune Forest was always nice to watch and pass the time. As she passed the group her eyes flashed between them and the walk ahead before stopping dead in her tracks before back peddling and squeeing upon seeing a Duskull, as she struggled to contain her excitement Clementine walked up to what she assumed was the Pokemons owner "Ahem excuse me miss I know this may sound sudden but is that your Duskull? I mean I would assume as much considered the little guy is going around your head, anyway I was wondering if I could pet him" she asked it was a little hard to hear what she was saying between her pretty think Kalosian accent and how quickly she was speaking eagerly excited as she had never seen a Duskull up close before "I'll even let you pat Alex if you wish to, don't worry he's a good boy and won't steal your soul or anything. Oh right" she said with a smile as she showed off Alex to Zephyr

Zephyr
Zephyr turned back to John, listening to him speak as though he's been there in the flesh. Sure enough, her assumption was confirmed. It brings a smile to her face knowing someone knew enough about her region. She didn't have to explain the lore to them, although she doesn't mind passing such information for the knowledge-hungry folk. "Correct, the birthplace of three more legendary pokemon, Entei, Suicune and Raikou." She listed. "Aside from the tower and it's stories, the place itself is a beautiful city surrounded by lush trees. When the season changes to fall, so too does do the maple trees around them. It's the same color as Ho-oh and it makes it that much more magical." She chirped.

Zephyr blushed embarrassingly when he asked if something caught her eye. She wasn't trying to seem rude, just observing her surroundings. "O-oh, well that boy has a Zorua. I heard interesting things abou them. They encountered an Entei,Raikou and Suicune in Sinnoh. Such polemon are important to my father and enjoys hearing more stories about the three outside of Johto." She mentioned.

All of a sudden, she heard a small voice behind her asking to pet her Duskull and in return pet her pokemon if Zephyr declined. She was content that someone actually wanted to say "hi" to a ghost pokemon. "You may go ahead and pet him. He's a friendly pokemon." She gave Grimm the ok for him to swoop down and say hello. Zephyr found it peculiar how small and quiet she is.

Once Zach had returned to his original form, Valkyira let out a sigh of relief, yet continued to gaze inquisitorially at him. "Yeah, the Contest Hall in Slateport City is, like, one of my favourite places to visit when I'm in town. And yes, the Lavaridge hot springs are DEFINITELY a recommendation. But who are your parents?" Chamomile inquired, tucking her hair behind her ear. "I haven't seen many stage performances, but it'd be pretty cool if I'd seen them. Where do they perform? I wasn't in Unova for the longest time, and I can't really remember how many performances I saw, but I've been to lots of other regions, so if they move all over the place, it'll be more likely that our paths have crossed before. Then again, I'm sure that there are plenty of actors all over the world, so what's really the chance that I've seen them? I mean, except for if they're, like, really famous, and that would be super cool, because then you'd be famous and, in me meeting you, I'm probably going to get someone asking for my autograph at any moment," she finished, eyeing Vincent hungrily for any hint of similarities to a celebrity.

"I mean, it's great and all that you want to be a gym leader, but there are lots of people in the world. Good luck though, anyway? The Dark-type guy in Hoenn's Elite Four does sound about right, I think... Anyway, I personally want to breed Pokemon. They mustn't like just fighting their entire lives, right? Plus, have you even seen a baby Pokemon? Like, my heart explodes every time."

Glancing back at Vincent's notebook, she realised that he may want to finish his drawing, or at least fix up the mistake Chamomile had caused him to make. She cleared her throat and checked the time, but from now on, she didn't really have a schedule, did she? "Oh, um, feel free to finish your drawing or whatever. I should probably be off anyway, I guess I might talk to someone else, or head off on Route 2!" Chamomile stated with a bright smile. She looked at Vincent for one last time, before turning and looking around at her other surroundings.

"It must be a beautiful sight to behold." John had a general idea as to what Ecruteck looked like. So when Zephyr described what her home looked like during the Autumn season he tried his best to imagine what it must have looked like, "My mother's work tends to keep her busy, but I'll definitely have to plan a trip during the Fall." John added. The more he thought about it the more he realized how similar Ecruteck City was to his own hometown. "You know Ecruteck has a lot in common with Celestic Town. It's a relatively little town but it preserves the history of Sinnoh and its old ways of life. At the towns center there's a shrine that dates back to ancient times of Sinnoh. There's also the Celestic Ruins which harbor etchings that tell the story of tbe Legendary Lake Guardians." He explained.

While Zephyr discussed her fascination with the little Dark-Type John's eye wandered towards the Zorua in the distance. Had such a tiny Pokémon had dealings with such powerful Pokémon? And if so what kind of business would Zorua have with Entei, Raikou, and Suicune? "Is that so? I've never heard such stories myself." John confessed. He was about to encourage the girl to go introduce herself to the Pokémon, but the sudden arrival of a newcomer prevented him from doing so.

She had practically wedged herself into Zephyr and John's conversations and this left somewhat of a sour taste in his mouth. "Guess this conversation is over." John ever so quietly muttered, though a hint of sadness filles his tone. It was the first time in a long time he actually got to be himself; let alone hold up a decent conversation with another person. While the two conversed with one another John quietly stood to the side and eyed the two. Judging from the newcomers accent it was quite obvious that she was a native of Kalos.

Vincent Jameson

Chamomile had given her two cents about Slateport and Lavaridge, and then started to bombard Vincent with question regarding his parents and the possibility of him being the son of world-famous stars. "Well, do the names 'Arthur and Millie Jameson' ring any bells for you? They recently starred in 'Legend of the Draconids'-- it was a full play about the ancient people of Hoenn's Meteor Falls that tamed mighty Dragon-type Pokémon and worshipped the legendary Pokémon Rayquaza like a guardian deity. I... think that play made it over to other regions? Well, what I do know is that at least in Unova, there was hardly ever a night when the play wasn't completely sold out. Now, they originally wanted me to be the third member of our family group, and that's cool and all, but... I want to incorporate the idea of acting on a stage into my future role as a Gym Leader." He explained. "See, imagine this-- a Trainer taking on the Pokémon League of Unova walks into a theatre, and as they fight their way to the end, a figure clad in shadows engages them in one final challenge. In that instant, the Trainer dons the role of a play's hero as a climactic battle between light and dark begins as the audience watches from the edge of their seats. There would also be a plot twist or two during the fight, of course..." Vincent said the final sentence of that statement with a smirk. "But regardless, Nimbasa City is a center of entertainment-- why not make the Gym of that city an attraction, as well? I think it'd be fun. Why, I even have a concept sketch or two about the Badge the victors would earn."

Chamomile had then explained her own desires in life, namely, to be a Breeder. "Well... yeah, I can understand that. Having Pokémon fight each other is just one facet of having them around, y'know? At the end of the day, whether Zach and I win or lose a fight, this little guy will always be my friend, isn't that right?" Vincent said, gently rubbing Zach's fur tuft that rested between his ears. When Chamomile said she was going to be going for now, Vincent shrugged. "Okay. Well, nice to meet you. I'll be heading to Route 2 at some point, myself. Perhaps our threads of life may intertwine sometime else?"

As Chamomile walked off, Vincent was about to take his notebook out again, when Zach caught someone else-- a black-haired girl with a Duskull, glancing at him, and pointed to them with one of his stubby front legs. "Zor." Zach chirped.

Vincent looked where his Zorua was pointing, then back to them. "Oh, someone else to meet? You wanna go say 'hi' to them?"

Zach nodded in response.

"Alright, up you go." Vincent lifted the little fox back onto his shoulder and strode over to the girl with a Duskull who seemed to be speaking with someone else, a blonde-haired boy with a Shinx. "Hi there." Vincent spoke, raising one hand in greeting. "Interested in my buddy Zach, huh? Zoruas really are interesting Pokémon, y'know. Back in my home region of Unova, they're pretty rare. I got this little fella when he hatched from an Egg at a Breeder's place, and we've been pals ever since."

As she watched the black-haired figure of Vincent stride over to a girl with short black hair and a boy with a green jacket, Chamomile looked around for anyone else to introduce herself to. Eventually, she spotted a girl in a beret standing a close distance to the other two. "Hello, I'm Chamomile Emerald. And... you are?" Chamomile declared, before turning and making sure her Ralts was following her.

Valkyria was shuffling along quickly behind her owner, a broad smile coming across her face. Chamomile went over to the nearest railing of the bridge and leant on it, her hair blowing in the breeze behind her. She carefully surveyed this stranger, deciding she had a very... Eccentric look about her, which may have registered slightly on her face before being recovered to a smile. "Your Litwick is very cute, by the way. What's their name?" she continued, watching her Ralts approach it and put out a tentative hand to touch its flame. "Valkyria, no! This is my Ralts, and I guess you could say she gets a little curious when she's in a good mood," she resumed with a smile as she attempted to subtly push her mischievous Pokemon out of the way with her foot.
