Up until two or three months ago, Otto's Pub was known as That Creepy Place on 47th, but, after undergoing some much needed renovations, and after the deed bounced around for a while, it opened it's doors. In the time since it's opened, locals have gotten used to having a bar so close to home- as the building is surrounded by apartments in downtown Manhattan. The apartment buildings are strictly mid-class, like most of the residents that attend the small bar. Yet, the crowded city streets and the men and women clad in suits still surround the quiet city block, as a constant reminder of the oasis that the attendees stumbled upon.
