The journey back from Sootspire was a long one and Linneus had never been more happy to return to, Osun than after he had to struggle with his morals in the goblin infested forests. Seeing the castle and the familiar faces among his citizenry brought him great comfort, reminding him of what his own suffering was all for. He also managed to recruit some very skilled mercenaries to his Knight Order, so there was also that to be happy about. Their parade through the capital with the monster's corpse was shown the proper attention befitting heroes of the county. Applauses rang out over the city, married with cheers and the occasional bouquet of flowers. Linneus and the group would head into the castle, where he would thank them again for their services and have them escorted to the castle apartments where they could make themselves at home. They were also given free reign of the castle while Linneus had to tend to paperwork and matters of the state.

"I know, I know." The Count argued as he listened to the city leaders repeatedly inform him that he needed to appoint barons across the county who could handle matters in his absence. Every time he departed from the capital city, things seemed to grind to a halt and the only cure was to keep the Count in the capital. But that would mean Linneus would no longer be able to go into battle with his soldiers. He was attempting to better the entire region however, not just trying to understand the struggle his soldiers faced, so he would have to make yet another decision he didn't like. He would have to begin appointing barons to positions of power to lead over distant parts of his territory.

1657836073514.pngIf the newly appointed knights would venture out of their apartments, they would see that the castle was adorned in art, some masterpieces others not so much. There was also no shortage of flowers and other decorations that helped to make the castle feel alive and warm. A large room on the second floor hosted a long table with several chairs tucked neatly under it. A sword lay atop the table, clearly not meant for battle as it was overly ornate and rather long. The wall would be adorned with a starburst banner, which wasn't Linneus' coat of arms. That same symbol was engraved into the table and on the sword. When Linneus managed to escape his advisors, this was where he fled to, after getting washed up and cleaning himself up. "Finally" He whispered as he entered the room, looking to the large open windows that overlooked the river down below.

Mentions: Aria RavenSong RavenSong | Pierre Volkie Volkie | Dark Witch lXlGamemaster lXlGamemaster

“Do I look presentable?” Regula asked Aria, a little bit more nervous than normal. She'd insisted on quickly booking an inn room to wash up, get a bit of rest and to get themselves to look presentable. With a few layers of dirt and grime off of her skin, she was feeling a bit more confident, but she was still plagued by a surprising amount of doubt and insecurities.

The last time she'd done any official noble business was long ago. The time she'd last worn a dress like this was equally long ago. One could even say it was a lifetime ago, in this case quite literally. The thing she was tripped up the most, however, was not her lack of experience. It was the fear that her experience would lead her to have many incorrect assumptions and wrongfully preconceived notions. What if courts here worked very differently from that in past life and she'd pretty much be seen as a bull in a china store? The latter had gotten her more nervous than she figured she'd end up being. Enough so for those accompanying her to have to be blind not to notice.

“Tell me again, please, what's count Light like?” She'd asked this question at least twice before, but couldn't abstain from repeating herself. As if knowing who she was dealing with to the letter would make her any less nervous.

After a deep sigh, she stepped outside to meet up with Pierre. She'd insisted to polish his hull a day prior. After all, he was part of her entourage and her entourage would reflect upon her status. If he wasn't the most handsome shiny tank-boy that displayed her diversity of companions and work as a blacksmith, it simply wouldn't do. She'd also checked all the weapons they'd brought along, to ensure everything was still there and that nothing had gotten rusted by the many days of rain they'd had along the way. “Are you ready Pierre?” She asked, just to make sure.

That's when she suddenly recalled something. She looked from Dark Witch to Aria and back again. “Say... count Light isn't the suspicious type, right? If he is, we might not want to introduce Alex as Dark Witch and just stick with Alex.” She knew their shiny tank-boy would already raise some suspicions, but that couldn't be helped. To also say that they were travelling with someone proudly calling themselves Dark Witch might be pushing it...

As they were going through these final things to wrap-up, Regula had to admit one thing. “This place is magnificent though. I've rarely seen castles as impressive as this one, let alone in such a great environment.” As nervous as she was to meet count Light, she was also very eager to see this castle on the inside.

Dark Witch (Alexandria Kingston)
944e1799a7c9f7bdb29feac6b71dc1c8.png

Alexandria, the Dark Witch, was sitting at a table outside of the inn, tuning her electric guitar and replacing strings that had gone sour in the past days of almost non-stop playing. She occasionally glanced over at Pierre, whose freshly polished exterior gleamed in the right light. If she didn't know any better she would have thought that her traveling partner, Regula, was nervous about their destination. Despite traveling with this entourage of misfits she hardly knew much about Regula or where their destination actually led. The entire reason why Dark Witch wanted to travel with them in the first place was so she could work as a mercenary and beat up any bandits they happened across.

Boy, had she got her money's worth when she threw her witch hat in with this lot. So much and so little had happened in the weeks since, like some sort of terribly designed roller coaster. One week they'd be stuck in a never-ending rain storm, and the next they meet Robin Hood and get directions through a spooky forest that showed them their worst fears. Alex shuddered at the latter experience. She had been shown who her final adversary was in her quest: the Demon Lord of her home world, who seemed impossible to beat at her current state. She shook the thoughts from her head and told her not to worry about it now, and hopefully if she told herself that enough it would eventually come true.

When Regula walked out of the inn in her new dress Alex's jaw almost hit the floor. "Presentable? Your beauty could shatter stone, and anyone who says otherwise I'll smite them myself!" She took her hat off and fanned herself a bit, attempting to cool off. Trying to take her mind off of it (as well as her eyes) she thought about why Regula would be so dressed up in the first place. Her current theory was that Regula was a noble of some kind, maybe even holding the title of lord, but she had either lost it before or had recently regained it, and was hoping the weapons she had made would put her in better standings with this "Count Light" guy.

It was a good thing Alex had cleaned her outfit while they were at this inn. Her witch costume was partly cosmetic and partly practical: the belts around her arms and legs holding the leather that had been worked into the cloth for some extra protection. From the way Regula was talking and how she wanted to avoid using Alex's title, she could only assume that they were going somewhere especially fancy.

"If you manage to get me into this place I promise not to call myself by my title, but it's gonna be pretty hard to explain the witch's outfit and clearly magical abilities..."

Aya
unnamed (1).png

Aya let out a yawn as she walked out of her room slipping her haori over her shoulders. The silver haired kitsune rubbed her eyes as she moved down the hall. "Oh these look nice," she muttered to herself sniffing the flowers for a moment as her three tails swisher from side to side. She had been here for a few days now and was slowly starting to get used to her surroundings. To be honest if Sariel hadn't joined to be a knight she probably wouldn't have and would have followed Tobias in contuing to make a name for herself. But, she felt like the child could use some help and she did enjoy her company even if it meant scolding the child. Letting out a small chuckle as she remembered Sariels outburst during the hunt. She passed a few servants and eventually reached the second floor where Count Light was sitting at the table.

"Oh Count Light, I didnt expect to find you here this early in the day." She commented walking over to the table her katana at her side as usual. "Though I suppose I might have slept in a little too long," she stated letting out a sigh of annoyance. "But, I think I will be training with the soldiers in the yard and hopefully they can pick up a thing or two. So what is on your agenda today?" Aya inquired as she leaned in on the table. She vaguely remembered a meeting was happening sometime soon. But she didn't remember exactly when that was going to be held. But she figured if she was going to be held she was probably going to need to be there. But she knew that attending things was part of her duties now.

Aria CS

Aria, awoke at the crack of dawn, and had acquired a fresh set of clothes for the occasion. After a mostly smooth last leg of their journey, Aria was of clearer mind and body to prepare. After being away from Light Territory for so long it was surreal to finally be back. So much had changed for the war maiden since she last left the count's castle, yet Aria's confidence wouldn’t waver.

Aria was confident, it seemed to come naturally to her during times like these, but this time it was more so to give Regula courage who just couldn’t seem to shake off her anxiety. “M’lady, please do not fret, you look splendid.” Aria said reassuringly with a nod as she closed the last fastener of her dress along the small of her back. Taking a few steps back to take in her entire image. Upon Regulas question Aria bowed her head slightly. “If I may be so bold m’lady.. after the count lays eyes on you, he will want to know what you are like instead..” she paused and looked up at Regula with her usual deadpan gaze, “..but beyond romantic attraction and if it helps that I repeat such details, then I’ll remind you the count is fairly stoic in character, and generous in his negotiations. May I add he is certainly delightful with careful attention to detail.”
She thought to stop there, and it didn’t seem to help much as Regula sighed and walked out.

Aria took a deep breath, she was thinking of some kind of way to ease her friend's anxiety. But nothing she could say or do would replace the inevitable meeting with the count. Aria turned to look at Dark Witch and nodded. “..consider it done Dark W- I mean.. Alex.” She stuttered with a faint smile. “I’m glad you decided to come along.”
Aria then followed after Regula, standing at her side as she inspected the finely made weapons and armor. Greeting the tank that hummed with mechanical life before them. “Pleasant afternoon sir Pierre.” She said before wrapping her sash and fixing her hair.

Part of her was eager to catch up on things with the count, but their relationship was mostly dutiful and to the point. Much of her personal goals weren’t yet fulfilled either. However, she hoped much of that would pale in comparison to the count meeting Regula, and perhaps empathize with her journey, should that topic arise at any point.

Ultimately Aria felt her goals were fairly close to the counts goals as well, and Aria was fairly certain there was always a need for allies. The burden of managing such a great province certainly required a variety of people.

Or so she thought.

{--- Nouveau jour, coque polie, prêt à partir. ---}
"Speaking"
'Thoughts'
---------------

To be honest, having people to talk to about your traumatic past life was comforting, because not only were those people trustworthy, but they also got to know more about you as you got to know more about them. This is what Pierre had learned after hearing out what his friends; Aria, Regula, and Alexandria had been going through under the poise of the cultist mind magic back in that forest route. He hoped that the communication would help them somehow, as in the end it was still help. In his mind, he was simply humming his nation's anthem as Regula had come out, asking if he was ready to meet the count. Hearing her ask if he was ready, he nodded and answered.

"I am ready, Maîtresse. And I must say you have the perfect presentability in your outfit. I hope for the best in you and Count Light's exchange." He greeted back warmly, truth be told he was genuinely thinking that Regula was beautiful in the outfit. But just as a compliment and nothing more.

. And seeing Aria walk up to him with a greeting, he turned his turret to her and nodded respectfully as she did her thing.
Good Afternoon to you too, Maîtresse Aria. I take it you had a positive night?"

He asked as he gave his engine a testing rev, and seeing as all was working fine, along with the final wrap up things to be done complete, he rolled on forward a bit. His engine gave a small rise in volume before quieting down as it went idle. Glancing back to Dark Witch, or as Regula suggested to just name her as Alex, he had a pang of intrigue well up as he saw her current outfit.

'Peculiar.. But nice.'

"Is everyone ready?" He called to the other three calmly.

Tyrmar

Following his first adventure with Count Light’s retinue Tyrmar found himself returning to the capital city in high spirits, though his sights were still set for the wider world he’d admit that having a starting place to return to bright him some comfort. Through their journey back through several small settlements Tyrmar refused to stay still for even a moment making sure to walk through each village and their surrounding areas ti see the sights.

On the roads back at any stop he’d climb one of the taller trees to look out across the vast swathes of land covering the territory and at night he’d stay up watching the stars while the rest of the company slept.

Arriving back to the familiar city of Osun Tyrmar couldn’t help but smile, the people here were of a good sort at least that’s the impression he’d gotten after being a resident in the short time he’d been there. The cheers and adulation washing over the returning troupe was like music to his ears as they were all lead back to the castle.

Only a few hours later he found himself in the apartment afforded to him as one under Linneus’ employ, his rather bare room filled with nothing but the furniture provided for him. His entrance into this world and his newfound abilities made sleep much less of a need but he still rested for a few hours to enjoy the comfort of nothing else.

After the night had deeply settled in, a little more than a few hours before sunrise Tyrmar made his leave through the halls into the city, he’d spend that time like always exploring it’s streets and finding the best views amongst the area. As the sun began peeking over he laid slouched atop a branch eating from a bag of recently collected fruit.

He’d found the lush green fields interspersed with man made homes a beautiful sight to begin the day to, and with a replacement for the clothes he’d torn during the hunt he was ready to face the day!

With a pep in his step he strolled back to the castle through the busiest route making sure to interact and greet whichever villager passed him by, subtly keeping an eye out for any suspicious or interesting individuals.

Count Linneus Light
1658178408372.png
Linneus stirred from his daydreaming, looking upward to see the young kitsune, Aya had found him. Her words brought a smirk to his face as it finally dawned on him that she did not approve of his soldiers and the way that they handled themselves. She was skilled, that he could not deny, but was she so skilled that she could demean his people? "I have a few meetings happening in a bit." The count replied, pushing the other topic form his mind and focusing on more positive ones. "I am honored that you chose to join my fledgling Knight Order, but I would like to go over somethings with you. Particularly in regards to expectations. I had hoped to inform you all at the same time...but I have not seen any of the others yet."

The young Count looked up to the banner that hung on the wall and nodded his head. "The main purpose of this group is to gather heroes who are of the mind that the protection of the innocent should not be dictated by the corrupt nobles or by a need for money and fame, like the Adventurer's Guild. You all won't have to worry about finding the best paying gigs or struggling to establish a home, because I will ensure you're paid fairly for everything you do in the name of the Order and I will ensure you all have you own individual housing anywhere in Sol County territory."

As he spoke, a servant entered the room and rushed to Linneus' side to whisper some information in the man's ear. Linneus nodded and sent the servant on their way. "I will not be the leader of this organization, just its...liaison to the ruling party of our nation and the commonfolk. The leaders will be those members who rise to such ranks that their skill, experience, and leadership warrant the trust of their peers and myself. I know this is a lot of information very suddenly, but I wanted to make sure you understood exactly what we are striving for."

Linneus rose from his seat and walked around the table, gesturing for Aya to follow him if she were willing to. "I do not mind if you go and interreact with the soldiers, I hope that you can teach them and they can teach you in return. I have a meeting to prepare for and you are welcome to attend that as well, but do you have any questions for me?" He paused in the hall, turning to look at Aya with a faint smile.

In the city below the castle, a messenger had been dispatched from the castle with an invitation. The young satyr sprinted through the city as fast as the wind, with the only sound being his hooves upon the cobbled pathways and the breezes he whipped up. He made no time to stop and talk, focusing solely on traveling to his destination; the inn where the Champion of Light had been spotted.

Like a tornado on legs, the satyr arrived to the establishment, finding an assortment of peculiar figures situated outside the building. Then he spotted her, the light-haired hero among the unfamiliar faces. "A message for the, Champion of Light!" The boy cheered as he hopped over to Aira and handed her the letter.

"Dear Aria,

We hope this letter finds you well and that that your journeys have taken you far from home. It is because you have been greatly missed that, Count Linneus Light, would like to invite you to the castle to reunite with Sol's greatest hero. Please arrive at your earliest convivence. There will be food and drink served as well.

Sincerely, Count Linneus Light."

1658181409063.png adventure around the city would reveal to him the general kind nature of the people who called the city home. There were already small celebrations happening in lieu of the Count's return and the great news that he brought with him. Several small street markets were giving away free food, while the city's major shopping district was boasting big sales to try and draw in people. Many of the people were in awe of the warrior, having spotted him in the precession with the monster and the other soldiers. "Hey! Hey!" A few kids called as they followed Tyrmar. "Did you kill that monster? Do you have any fancy weapons? Are you going to try and join the Count's service?" They jumped around him with eager and excited expressions upon their faces.

After Aria had finished any final preparations, she tied the katana onto the sash to her side. Her dagger was sharpened, and her overall figure was impeccably kept. She would make her way down the stairs where most of the public would come to eat and drink. Her attire swaying fancily through the breeze coming in from the windows. It wasn’t long after, that a hoofed figure suddenly appeared sending a gusty wind about the place. Arias eyes widened at his sudden appearance then appeared to recoil a bit as the courier cheered her arrival. She turned to look at everyone present, likely now focusing solely on her. She almost blushed but Instead bowed her head in greeting then rose to meet the messenger's gaze, managing to fully compose her features. With an air of expectation she continued.

“Impeccable timing as usual..” she said out loud as she took the letter and read its contents. The count had a way with words, and to read that she’d been missed stirred something within her she couldn’t quite make out. Oddly, she felt like she’d come home, and was welcomed with open arms. It felt good. Especially after being gone for so long. But she wouldn’t let such feelings interrupt her duties at the moment.

“..hmm.. very well..” she turned to look at Regula. “..m’lady, if you’re ready we should make our way to the count's castle.” She looked at the letter. “..I don’t know who gave him word of my arrival but lord light is expecting us.” Aria nodded at the others, as if signaling it was time to depart.

Aria would then turn to the satyr messenger and give him a few coppers. “For your service, messenger.”

She’d start towards the castle, if Regula was within proximity Aria would quickly lean into Regulas ear and whisper as she placed a hand beside her mouth to muffle her voice. “I’m not one for singing; not as good as Alex at least.. but if it helps, I can sing you a song?” She was dead serious too, but she hoped it would at least, if not just for a moment bring some ease to her anxious friend.

Aya

Aya nodded as Count Light spoke to her, "Well I figured as much though if Sariel hadn't joined I doubted I would have. But based on what you said so far our goals are relatively similar to one another," Aya admitted sitting down in a chair and curling her tails into her lap. "Though I am content with my current quarters so thay shouldn't be an issue either," Aya admitted as she stood up and followed Count Light around the hall. She still had some reservations about this order but at least for now they seemed aligned and the country didn't seem like he was evil. So she didn't mind helping his order and at the same time while doing that she could make a name for herself as well. Two bird with one stone in her mind. Though she was curious as to see why he thought so lowly of the adventure's guild.

Bringing her hand up to her chin she pondered what the Count had said. "Well if you have a meeting and since we are your knights by association and your sponsorship. I feel oigated to attend though I am curious about it so I will attend the meeting." Aya concluded nodding her head as the Count stopped moving about. "Woth you being a liason I suppose that gives us legitimacy. But actions do speak louder than words," She pointed out before folding her arms across her chest as the servant rushed into the room. "Well you have my sword so I shall be by your side during the meeting unless Sariel gets herself into trouble," she concluded.

Tyrmar

Walking through the city in midst of festivities Tyrmar couldn’t help but take in the architecture of the buildings covered in various decorations. Passing by the stalls and citizens enjoying the fruits of their labor made him smile as he was offered free food from multiple carts, making sure to thoroughly thank any who he ate from.

As he bit into a tasty roasted kebab he heard the sounds of the excited kids nipping at his heels, asking questions one after another in rapid order. Tyrmar had to quickly swallow his food as a deep chuckle bubbled up from his gut, taking a stop and looking over they group of kids he quickly addressed their questions.

“Hahaha I’m afraid I wasn’t enough alone to take down a beast such as that, I was aided by the Count’s knights as well as several other trusted warriors. As for weapons? That’s a curious question.” Cupping his chin in faux consideration he kneeled down before the group, still a head and shoulders over most of them, and held up his open hand for all of them to see. “I’m not quite sure if you’ll know what a Martial Artist is in these lands, but just know that I am a warrior of a different make from a knight or mage, you see I bare no arms and weave no spells” It took little to no effort to clench his hand into a hard fist and cover it in his golden [Aura], the air immediately around it echoing with the sound of its impacts. “I simply put my body and spirit on the line to protect people and battle my enemies.”

Standing back up he gave them all a large grin, hands on his hips proudly “And concerning the Count’s service I suppose you’ll just have to wait and see won’t you? Though I believe that I’d be the first Knight of the Fist he’ll probably have.”

Letting out another deep chuckle he waited for their reactions before continuing on his walk back to the palace at the same sedate pace, assuring the citizens to his normally out of place presence.

Dark Witch (Alexandria Kingston)
944e1799a7c9f7bdb29feac6b71dc1c8.png

Alex felt a smile form on her face and let it happen. It was warranted: these people were a treat to travel with. As everyone gave their praise for Regula's new look Dark Witch began to strum her guitar to a sort of soothing tune. Instead of using magic to enhance the performance with drums and stage lights she set the beat herself with just her guitar, not wanting to drown out any of the interactions with her playing, but rather enhance it. She knew what song she was playing, but didn't feel the need to say the name, as it was pretty straight foreword.

She had gone to the next verse when an honest to metal-god satyr came to deliver a message. It took a little more concentration to keep the rhythm flowing after that, but Alex kept it cool. He delivered the letter to Aria and she watched her read it. She saw the blush and wondered whether it was from a lover, but then she said that it was from the man they were going to see: Count Light. A sort of... unease set in Alex: they hadn't met anyone in official garb (hell, the delivery boy didn't even have anything saying he was royal or not), and she couldn't remember a time where someone asked who they were. Who was this Light person, and how much power did he actually have?

Animal Friends; Now introducing magical mascot Salboros!
"In the name of love and... Ugh! Not right. In the name of swe- Ah. I'll never get used to that overly cutesy voice." Sariel shouted irritably, as he was admiring the flowers placed in the hall while practising his angel of sweetness speech. A face full of annoyance, and utter displeasure was painted all over him. "Why couldn't I be reborn as a flower like Narcissus? Or a jellyfish brainlessly fluttering in the moonlit ocean? O' woe is I, Sariel." He said condescendingly while twirling a flower picked from the many that decorated the halls. "Flowers are edible right? What do you think little flower? You would be a much better familiar than that thing which calls itself cute. Ugh, it makes me shudder thinking of it." Sariel pouted as he gently placed the flower back into the nearest vase.

Wandering through the halls he looked at all the decor with slight indifference. "Where oh where could that rodent be hiding? It has to be here somewhere. Maybe I'll pluck all the feathers out of its feeble little wings the next time I see it." Sariel bluffed while peering under tables and looking behind the oddly placed decor. Sariel paid no mind to any of the servants that happened to look at him weirdly, after all, he was just a cute little girl doing cute girl things, like suspiciously looking behind ornate paintings and behind flower vases. Nothing suspicious at all. What would they do? Tell on him? Sariel lacked any respect for these people who probably had more rank than he did.

But he finally stopped when he reached a flight of stairs. A suspiciously placed flight of stairs! Sariel looked side to side, looking for anything else out of place, before deciding to head up the stairs. "I knew that little rascal wouldn't just stay on the first floor, how preposterous of me to assume that." Sariel snickered to himself as he went up the stairs. That is when he would sharply reveal himself, pointing forward into the room with such suddenness.

"Ahah!" Sariel loudly exclaimed, "I have found you at last you furry little piece of g-" The girl would've loudly and confidently exclaimed, unless Sariel stopped himself right there, realising he had entered a room with his boss and disciplinary instructor. A face coloured in roses as he edged down the stairs slowly hiding from view. "What the heck are they doing here, I thought that that prick was doing royalty stuff and that that miss was doing samurai stuff, what do I do now ugh!!" Sariel was whispering to himself while scratching his head and ducking down the stairs.

Sariel stood up and stepped into the room. His plan was now to play it off and make it like nothing ever happened, all with the fakest smile ever to be seen in History. "Hiiiiii! Greetings Mr Bossman, and Ms Aya! Ahaha." Sariel nervously laughed, edging closer to stand behind Aya. "How are you guys on this fine sunshiny day? What're y'all doing?" Sariel said with a half-hearted cheerful tone, now hiding behind Aya, "Say, have either of you seen an ugly stuffed animal that looks like a fox, with a horse tail, three eyes and also bird-like wings? It's also very light in colour-" Sariel said nervously while trying his best to avoid eye contact with Linneus.

"It looked like this- IT'S NOT MY DOLL, BY THE WAY, Some girl... uh, or something, uhm. Yes, some girl named ara- No, Anabelle lost her doll, yes, uhh... and I, the great Sariel is looking for it. Because I am a perfect knight who does my job and helps people." Sariel said unconvincingly, as he slid a piece of parchment on the table with a poorly ink-drawn artwork.

'The architecture is unique.. Unlike anything I've seen rather..' Pierre mused in his mind as he rolled close behind his comrades. Looking around their surroundings as they made way, Pierre also bopped his barrel to the tempo of Alex's Song. Then came along the messenger, whom had a letter delivered to Aria regarding her as the Champion of Light.

'Hm.. I remember that Forest ranger spoke of that a bit as well..'

Now having positioned himself so that he was rolling on the side of Regula opposite of Aria, Pierre checked on her from time to time to make sure she was okay.

Unknowingly however, another song he once heard in his past life came back in his mind; more specifically that of origin from his British Brothers in arms, yet flowed from his voice softly.

{AKA: Pierre accidently sings out loud when he thinks he's singing it in his mind for the 2nd time}

Truthfully, Regula was blessed with the companions she'd managed to gather here. Slowly yet steadily, they were all working away at breaking through her nerves. Dark Witch started by getting a smile out of her when she promised to smite anyone that'd disagree with her current looks. “Thank you, you surely know how to deliver a compliment~” Regula shook her head at the witch part. “I don't think magical abilities are an issue and I think even the outfit itself shouldn't be too bad, it's looking great on you, by the way, it's just that I'm predicting there's a fair chance the title Dark Witch might sound like you're summoning demons and sacrificing virgins. Perhaps the title is a bit different where you're from, but from what I've gathered here, dark and evil are used interchangeably in these regions.” She thought to herself for a moment. “If you just present yourself as an eccentric adventurer, rather than a Dark Witch, the outfit and abilities shouldn't stand out in any bad way at all.” She looked at Aria, hoping to get some confirmation on that assessment, as she didn't know count Light and his court as well as Aria did. “Right?”

Aria's flattering words further helped Regula build up some confidence. “You'd think the count would take an honest interest in me by appearances alone?” The thought gave her doubts. She clicked her tongue. “Perhaps I should've dressed in my usual gear, then, as that's closer to who I'm being at the moment...” She shook her head, as it was too late to have second-guesses like that. “Attention to detail, you say? What do you mean by that?” There were lots of ways in which something like that could manifest, including in the unpleasant nit-picky types of ways. Regula certainly hoped it wasn't that, but wasn't going to exclude such options.

She frowned, however, when Pierre greeted her. “I'm not sure what kind of relationship you think I wish to build with count Light, but I can assure you, it's nothing that would qualify me for such a title.” Her voice, a mixture of stern with hints of confusion as to why she was suddenly insulted like that, made it clear she wasn't all that pleased with the title. “Anyhow, I'm as ready as I'll ever be, so let's get going.”

She'd barely finished speaking when a messenger reached them with a message for Aria. “Wow...” Regula was taken by surprise. “You're even more popular with the count than I thought, if he's already asking for you so short after our arrival here.” One the one hand, it was boding well, as Aria would be the perfect liaison. On the other hand, she did notice that it wasn't a message 'for the Champion of Light and her company' which meant that Regula, Alex and Pierre would end up being unwelcome tag-alongs. That's when she realised her mistake. “I should've sent official word of my arrival and ask for an audience... Why did I think I could show up unannounced? I must not have been thinking straight... What do we do?” She was desperately trying to come up with a battle-plan.

Noticing the increased tension, Aria tried to help in her own way, by offering to sing a song. The request would've made sense coming from Alex, but coming from Aria out of the blue left Regula speechless for a moment, before she started laughing. “I'm sorry, I'm sorry, thanks for the offer, but that totally took me by surprise.” After a few deep breaths, she'd calmed enough to know what to do. “Alright, here's the plan. Aria, please travel a bit ahead of us. Go meet with the count and inform them that some friends of yours wish to meet him. With some luck, he'll be willing to meet us sooner rather than later. Arriving upon his own invitation after having Aria mention us will be a lot better than arriving unannounced.” She felt like she'd avoided a landmine by realising the idiocy of her previous plan to just show up and had a golden opportunity by sending in Aria first.

Dark Witch's music certainly made the mood, as they'd have to wait or traverse slowly to give Aria a chance to meet count Light first. When Pierre suddenly started singing, Regula smiled. With Dark Witch being a bard, Aria wishing to sing for her and Pierre already doing so, she knew their back-up plan. “Well, if this deal fails, we can always become a group of adventuring bards.” Deciding to entertain the thought a bit more, in order to distract herself from getting nervous again, she continued. “Flavours of Metal could be our group's name. Alex's music, Pierre's... being what he is, Aria's weapon ability and my talents as a blacksmith. It'd be oddly fitting, right?”

Upon seeing Regula exclaim in surprise, Aria held her arm, looking away yet not knowing how to react further. Perhaps it was her humble spirit, or how self critical she was, considering herself undeserving of such praise. Surely, it was much easier to hide behind the smokescreen of being a recent acquaintance than it was for a friend. In this case Regula. Luckily she seemed to be distracted by the little details of this anticipated meeting. However, first impressions went a long way with nobles, so perhaps her anxiety wasn’t for naught.

Yet, Linneus wasn’t just any noble, Aria saw him as someone who could really change things for the better. Not just for the common folk who worked hard for the vast majority of their lives. Only to die penniless and hungry. But also to other nobles, who could learn from his aspirations and perhaps inspire them to find ways for everyone to prosper. It was a hope. A dream.

She turned the letter over, examining it briefly as her friend mentioned how it was an invitation for Aria alone, and not for the others. Looking back up at Regula, she nodded in agreement to her plan. But not before giving a soft smile at her amusement of the offer she had given before heading towards the castle.

“Well, that cheered you up.” She remarked. She wanted to tell her that her attire was perfect, but Aria thought it better to leave it be and not bring any further attention to that.

She chuckled softly at her suggestion to form a musical group. Before continuing.

“Right.” She started. “I won’t keep the count waiting much longer, make your way to the entrance. I’ll see to it that you’re all welcomed.”

With that, and with a twinkle she disappeared outside the inn's wall. [Teleport F] It wasn’t a very far walk but she jogged it swiftly, she generally ignored anything on the way. Until she noticed a topless man boasting about something. He seemed, foreign. But she didn’t have time to investigate or inquire.

Once at the gates, Aria quickly flattened out any of the weird creases of her dress, sort of moved her silvery hair from her eyes and cleared her throat. Then started in to meet with the count.

1658514935038.pngLinneus was grateful for Aya's company and her honesty. He could not fault her for the reasoning behind her decisions, although eh wouldn't exactly praise her for them either. All the same, he was glad to have her in any capacity. "Thank you, Aya." He said softly as the two walked. Then Sariel showed up with his usual antics, which Linneus had grown to expect at this point. The description that Sariella gave painted an unappealing image in Linneus' mind, but the hand drawn art was even worse. "Ahem." Linneus cleared his throat and turned his head away, resisting the urge to laugh at the image. "No, I have not seen such a thing, but perhaps this search would be more appropriate for a servant than a knight?" While he wanted to correct the behavior and set things straight, Linneus knew he had somewhere to be and someone to meet. Aya knew this as well so he didn't bother to say anything as he walked away. She could stay and engage with Sariel's latest shenanigans if she so pleased.

"Knight of the Fist!" The children all cheered together. Suddenly a show of martial arts erupted as the kids started to playfully throw punches at one another. The grunted as they kicked and cheered as they successfully blocked attacks. "We're going to be knights when we grow up, and help the Count make the world a better place" One kid boldly declared while he landed a series of punches on Tyrmar's leg. The little troublemakers started ganging up on the martial artist, each of them throwing punches and laughing as they attacked the man with their small fists. That was when they saw the Champion of Light and they all waved at her. "The Champion of Light!" The called out.

Linneus made his way down to the main floor of the castle and there he met a familiar face. Seeing Aria again after so much time was refreshing. While they were not friends particularly, she was someone he knew had similar ideals as himself and someone that he trusted. She surprised him however, announcing that she had company who wished to meet with him. While he had planned to have a more light-hearted and easy going meeting, he could only imagine that the meeting he would now have was not going to be so.

1658514675022.pngThe arrival of Regula and her party would be treated as any other meeting that the Count would hold. Food was brought out to the garden, where there would be enough space to accommodate Pierre, another familiar face. He wasn't sure who this woman was, but if, Aria trusted her and thought that she was worth his time, then how could he refuse her. "Allow me to officially welcome you to the, County of Sol. I am Count Linneus Light." he entered the garden with a few servants, holding beverages and snacks for the meeting. "Pierre, I am glad that you have found a place here." While he still didn't understand the machine's origins, he did understand that the machine was not from Ryke at the very least. "What can i do for you all?" While he spoke, several of Linneus' soldiers positioned themselves around the garden, a mixture of his spearmen and swordsmen. His advisors wanted him to take his safety more seriously and what better way than to show a bit of caution. He knew Aria would not bring a threat within his home, the soldiers were entirely for show, for people who were not even present but would hear of the meeting all the same.

Time period changes, dumbass.
-------------

After Pierre had finished his song, he thought back to Regula's slightly unexpected reaction to his greeting from earlier.

'Hm.. I know that it translated to Mistress.. But what did that have to do with Count Light- .... Oh.. Oh well, may as well save the self loathing for later. Can't be miserable at a time like this..'

Having collected these thoughts now, he turned his turret to Regula, ready to speak.

"I've come to realize that the gap between our time periods have also differentiated word definitions.. When I called you Mistress I meant that as addressing you, Aria, and Alex as my superiors. Not in the offending definition that you took it as. I apologize for not clarifying earlier." He calmly clarified to her.

Now having arrived at Count light's, Pierre nodded to Linneus' greeting.

"It is a pleasure to meet you again, Sir Linneus. And yes, it has rather been a delightful breath of fresh air." He then stopped, waiting to see if Regula was going to say what she had to say.

Regula

'Come on girl. You got this. It's just another noble's party. You've been through dozens, no hundreds, no thousands, of those in your previous life. It can't be that different. Well, other than the metal bard and the sentient tank being there and that fact that I'm now a peasant blacksmith and... It really is way different, how am I going to... No. Calm down. Just breath, Aria says it's an okay person, so this will work out.' Thoughts like those kept occupying Regula's mind as they got closer and closer to the palace. If it wasn't for her friends' earlier efforts, she'd not be able to gather herself as much as right now.

To her first surprise, the welcome was prepared quickly, yet outside. Rather than welcoming people in the foyer first, they were led directly into the gardens, which was already something she was unfamiliar with. Perhaps it was due to them knowing Pierre had come along? Either way, she didn't have much time to think, as a person she could only assume to be the count himself arrived soon after. That was also uncommon to her. Normally, the most important people arrived later than the other guests, so that their arrival was witnessed by everyone. In fact, even the fact he introduced himself by a first and last name was different. Regula knew only long, fancy titles and family names. Only her family introduced herself by their first names in her previous life...

Slowly but steadily, she realised her fear that the nobility was very different here was a very real one. Even though it was the very reason she came to seek out count Light, she couldn't help but feel horribly inept for this. That said, if she wished to be a queen one day, she couldn't let such a trivial feeling stop her. No, she'd had to step up right now. She was the leader of this group, so she'd had to step up and state her business here. After a deep breath, she took a step forwards and bowed. It didn't look like people here were going to kneel, but a bow was the least sign of respect that seemed warranted.

Besides, it gave her a precious few seconds to swallow and hope that she would be able to get her voice working properly. “Greetings, count Light. I am Regula, a blacksmith and enchanter from Ryken and it is an honour to meet you.” She was sure there was one thing that had to be the same in this world, which was that you always started off with the gifts before making the request. It's why she gestured to the crates atop Pierre. “Thanks to Aria's knowledge, I was able to prepare a gift, a supply of weapons that I hope will be of use for your personal guard. It would be an honour if you were to accept my craftsmanship.”

Another deep breath. That was that part dealt with. Now it was time for the request. “Furthermore, I have come with a humble request. I recently learned that I am of distant noble heritage, but I was not raised as one. To make up for my lack of knowledge on proper etiquette, I was hoping you'd honour me with the privilege of being taught the ways of nobility.” She decided she'd leave out the bigger scheme for now. After all, saying she was related to the crown prince would be problematic, as she didn't have enough evidence to back it up yet. Furthermore, saying she wished to be queen would pretty much be the equivalent of stating she hoped to rule over him, which would be outright insulting. All in all, this was probably the best extend to which she should explain her situation.

She felt like that had gone pretty well. Not too stiff, not without proper respect. She hoped that feeling was warranted as well, as she didn't wish to totally ruin her first impression. Besides, there was another thing that bothered her. Not knowing her father meant she couldn't even tell him a last name, which would make her claim of being a noble seem odd. After all, having only a first name was more of a peasant thing, or in her case, a thing that happened to children who didn't know their father due to being orphans or children of whores. It was probably the one thing she couldn't change that stood out, but her pride wouldn't let her come up with a last name just for appearances. She'd adopt a last name when she'd be able to prove she was true royalty, then she'd take that name and make it her own as the new queen. Or so was the hope. For now, she was anxiously awaiting the answer to her request.

Aya
unnamed (1).png

Aya was in the middle of a conversation when she heard Sariel's voice which announced the young girl's arrival. Shaking her head for a moment as the child yelled inside. She didn't understand that desire, but she was a child with questionable decision-making skills. However, that didn't compare to her skills in drawing. "Oh no, I haven't seen it around here," Aya replied as the picture was shown, and it was indeed a crude drawing. Though she heard the Count speaking up and turning his head away, giving him a slight glare before patting Sariel's head. "But that is a...truly great drawing," Aya smiled before nodding her head in agreement with the count. "The count is right; let's tell one of the servants and have them look for it; I'm sure they can find it," Aya suggested stopping to talk to the child for a moment. Kneeling down to the child's level as she tried to hide the fact it was hers, "Oh, I'm sure, well, I'm sure that little girl will be very happy to get it back," she smiled before narrowing her eyes on the girl for a moment.

"Now as to shouting inside, I told you before don't yell inside." Aya scolded Sariel for a moment before letting out a sigh and standing up, looking around to find a servant. "Hey, can you find the stuffed animal that I'm sure is roaming around here somewhere? It looks like this," Aya replied, pointing to the image as the servant gave a disgusted looked before nodding and going away to look for it. With that handled Aya looked down at the child, "Come on, we have duties to attend to, and that duty is to attend the meeting since we are the Count's Knights unless you have something else to do," Aya pointed out and would lead the child toward the garden if she didn't have anything else to do.

Upon her arrival at the gardens, the count had just finished speaking. Aya adjusted her black and blue haori as she tied one of the blue strings that had come loose across her chest to hold it in place. Her sandals echoed against the stone as she walked towards where the count was holding the meeting. Though she stopped in her place as she saw the giant tank; why is there a tank here!? She shouted in her head as it was incredibly out of place. With a small sigh, she approached the group, her hand on her hilt as she gave a slight bow before standing by the count as the conversation continued.

Aya took note of the other soldiers in the garden though she thought it was a bit light. She also noticed the Count seemed familiar with a few people in the group, which put her at ease. Though she wanted to stay close enough in case something did happen. She glanced around the garden as the food was brought out. One could never be too careful, even in one's own home.

As she walked into the castle gates, she heard children yelling out her title. She looked over her shoulder and smiled softly as she waved behind her nonchalantly, towards them sort of twiddling her fingers.

Once inside, she was surprised to see Linneus there already. No pleasantries, or announcement of arrival she quickly then assumed it wasn’t a formal meeting or at least it wasn’t intended to be. It actually made her feel less tense about it.

She bowed her head, bringing a fist over her chest with a military salute as she stood firmly. Then once at ease she returned her gaze towards the count. She noticed a certain expression in his features, like what one would see after reuniting with a friend.

She attempted a smile, but fought against it, trying to keep her sense of duty in his presence. “I have returned my lord..” she started. “..please, forgive my lack of notice. I have but recently arrived at Ryken..” she stuttered. “..I also understand that you’ve called solely for me, but I must insist that your lightness extends your invitation to those in my company who have not just been part of my travels but to whom I owe a degree of respect.”

As if on queue she turned back towards the entrance, noticing the others had arrived. She turned back to look at Linneus and bowed. “As your champion, you have my deepest gratitude, my lord.”

She followed behind the count out towards the garden area, immediately noticing the great feast that was brought before them. She was hungry, but decided it would be best to dine after everyone was more acquainted.

She stood to the side, closing her eyes dutifully as Regula made her introduction, then opened her eyes at the display of weaponry presented. Then the Count's castle guard appeared, she didn’t feel threatened however, it was only appropriate for a meeting with strangers. But what was most peculiar to Aria was the appearance of a certain animal eared lady at the Counts side. She noticed her bow as the others spoke, she also noticed the sword at her side was similar to hers. Her curiosity was piqued, if she would catch her gaze she’d notice Aria bowing her head in greeting.

Then quickly noticed another, a small girl beside the swordswoman. She smiled softly and waved discreetly. Aria was intrigued by Linneus’s company, she wondered silently how they were associated with him. If her eyes didn’t betray her interest she’d return her gaze back to the matter at hand however, not wanting to take away from her comrades introductions.

Sariel, Glaring at people since 1963.
Sariel let out a sigh of relief. It seemed that Linneus didn't have enough time to spare to scold Sariel for his misbehaviour. Of course, though, Linneus did leave behind quite a remark. Let a servant deal with this? A servant? A boring adult who probably won't try hard enough now would they? Sariel would've wanted to say, but he needed to at least show some respect to his "Boss." Sariel was inherently irritated, "Hey! I'm technically still a kid, and doing little jobs like this is how I can be of use without transforming." Sariel said with an annoyed tone, the little girl crossed his arms and looked to the side. "Jerk..." Sariel muttered under his breath while Linneus was walking away.

The fox samurai lady didn't see... That "thing" around here either. Sariel sighed. Sariel's mood was somewhat brightened when Aya complimented his drawing, "You really think so Miss? It's really cute, right?" Sariel excitedly said with a smile, but then quickly furrowed his brows and looked away in bashfulness. "Ahem! It's not that good. I was in a rush, I could draw something better." The young girl said, arms still crossed and cheeks tinted in rose. Aya then explained her stance, scolding him quickly and giving one of many drawings to the servant.

"Oh, about the servants doing it and uhh, stuff- So you see, I already gave some other similar drawings to some other servants that were near the dorms! So they're probably helping..." Sariel said with a clueless face, before looking back at Aya, "Actually wait!.. This is a secret, so don't tell anyone else but that thing in the picture is not a doll! And it may or may not be a demon- But it's fine since he's super weak right now, and I have him under control! So don't tell anyone, especially not boss, okay?!" Sariel hastily told Aya. Sariel then frowned after hearing the word, 'Meeting.' "Ughhh! What do you mean by meeting? I didn't know about this- Hey, wait up!" Sariel said irritably as he ran behind the fox samurai. How unfortunate he thought to himself.

Sariel's ballet flats made a decently loud tapping noise as he walked on the garden's floors. He finally stopped, standing behind Aya. Sariel brushed off any dust on his shorts and began to look around. Sariel could not believe what he was seeing, he was on the verge of bursting into laughter. What the hell is that? The first thing Sariel noticed was the inherently out-of-place tank. It stood out like a coloured character in a black and white manga. What made Sariel want to laugh was the fact that it was a talking tank! What is the name of God this? It showed on Sariel's face to anyone keen in sight that Sariel was trying not to laugh, he held a hand in front of his mouth and another against his stomach. It was too much.

On the other hand. Another one? Another person with a katana, this time they didn't have Fox Ears. Weird, Sariel thought to himself. Kind of uninteresting. On the other hand, it seemed she had a good relationship with the count. So maybe being on good terms with that old lady would make the Count like me more? Hm, decisions. Sariel thought to himself. That weird lady who called herself a champion or whatever then waved at Sariel. Sariel waved back nonchalantly.

He then looked at the other notable person. Another old lady-looking person, with a pretty dress. Sariel looked at it with starstruck eyes. "Woah, that's a pretty dress. Wonder if I could wea-" Sariel was muttering to himself, before stopping in his tracks. Don't finish that sentence, he thought. I am the great, Ichigo, now Sariel or whatever, and I am a cruel, strong and handsome almost young man. I must not fall for god's horrid temptations with starry dresses and being called... "Cute." This was a ruse! Sariel was glaring, it was unintentional but he was now accidentally glaring at Regula.

First Impressions have already failed.

Tyrmar

Cheering children sending their small fists and legs at him wasn’t the way Tyrmar thought this day was going to go but he could go along with it as he went. As he saw the kids play with each other and then cheer the title of a passing white haired swordsman, he believed he knew where his attention needed lie for the time being.

After encouraging the kids wants to protect their town and serve Linneus, Tyrmar began trekking back to the Count’s Manor at a brisker pace to catch up with the Champion of Light. By the time he arrived he would see Linneus and his retinue alongside Aya and Dulcifer speaking with a group of well equipped women and a tank? What in the hell?

Entering through the side where he wouldn’t disrupt the meeting, Tyrmar found a servant and had them lead him up to a higher vantage point behind the Count and company to observe.

Dark Witch (Alexandria Kingston)

Alex raised her hands in the devil sign at the mention of starting a band. "Hell yeah! Rock band in another world!" She played a small solo in delight, trying to lift the spirits of her companions. When everyone was ready they began the short trek towards their destination. Walking through the city she did get a couple of odd looks from people as she passed, but most of the attention was taken by the massive tank traveling beside her. It wasn't a bad place: people were smiling and children were cheering for their heroes, so there weren't any red flags that Alex was picking up. The group passed through the internal gates and found themselves at a privately owned garden, as well as a small picnic area.

There she met an entourage of people, including the big man himself, Count Light. He was accompanied by a couple of companions, as well as some well armed guards with swords and spears. No one seemed hostile, just cautious, which Alex could understand, especially since the courtyard was slowly filling with odd looking people. One such person a blue-dressed fox girl with several tails that Alex looked at longingly, fighting her inner demons so as not to cause a scene. Beside the count was a small girl who, judging from her hair color and lack of color coordination with anyone else, seemed out of place. Was she perhaps a relative of the count? Speaking of which, the count himself didn't have any big "I am evil" vibes about him, and Alex gave a sigh of relief. Once Aria had introduced them, and Regula had introduced herself, Alex made an attempt to introduce herself as on the side.

"Hey, I'm D-" she caught herself, not wanting to blow Regula's chance at a first impression. "Y-You can just call me Alex. I was in the neighborhood and helped these fine ladies get through the forest."

With her introduction out of the way she made her way to the refreshments table, eager to try out what cooky food this new world had to offer. She was disappointed to find a lot of stuff from her old world, but took some all the same. She was grateful for at least some liquor, even if it was on the light side as conversation starters. Once she grabbed everything that she wanted she sauntered off to one of the raised garden plots and sat on the edge, pulling her guitar out while chewing on a cookie. She closed her eyes and reached out to the World Tree from her realm, asking it for a song to play, and she was delighted with the answer. Looking at Regula talking with the count she began to sing:

"~She keeps her Moët et Chandon in her pretty cabinet
'Let them eat cake', she says just like Marie Antoinette~"

As she strummed the guitar the atmosphere in the garden changed. It was daylight, but the light seemed to dim, yet the floor seemed to glow. Gentle mist flowed from the garden plants and sparkles seemed to dance in the air to her song.

"~A built-in remedy for Khrushchev and Kennedy
At anytime an invitation you can't decline~

~Caviar and cigarettes, well versed in etiquette, extraordinarily nice~

Gunpowder, gelatin
Dynamite with a laser beam

1658709226417.pngCount Linneus LIght

He was glad that the machine, Pierre, had found himself a proper place in their world, it was a relief to know that someone had not left his territory to become a victim of a new place. He had nowhere to put the machine creature, but he did have and a few ideas brewing in his mind from an inventor's perspective. Aria had found herself some odd company, almost as odd as his own. But now was not the time for such distractions. He was brought back to the conversation at hand when he heard the unfamiliar voice of his guest, Regula. Gifts. A small, warm smile stretched across his face as he made his approach to examine the weapons the woman had crafted. "Spears, armors, shield? I am impressed and grateful for these gifts." With a wave of his hand. Linneus soldiers moved to collect the gifts and take them back inside.

The most important part would come next; the favor. Even before he was noble, Linneus knew that strangers only brought you gifts in the hopes of buttering you up so that you would be more inclined to do something for them. So Linneus moved to stand back beside Aya, and that was when he spotted Tyrmar on a balcony overhead. He looked to Regula, listening to her request and was pleasantly surprised. However the woman with the large hat started to sing. "This seems like a conversation better had in private." Linneus gestured for Regula to follow him and the the woman to a more isolated part of the garden. They could still see the others, but they were more difficult to hear. He sat down on a stone bench, inhaled deeply and then slowly let out the anxiety and nerves that had built up in him after learning of this meeting. "A blacksmith who seeks to rise to a position of nobility is very reminiscent of my own life. If you are truly of noble descent then the rest of society would need you to prove that. You won't be accepted into a position of power by those in power, simply based on claims like that."

Linneus laid his hands in his lap and looked upward at the castle he now called home. Not too long ago he was seeking help from nobles already in power to reach where he is now. "Unfortunately, I can't be of much help in the manners and ceremony department as I myself am not very well-versed in it. I am still stepping on the toes of my subordinates and slowly losing their trust." Her cracked a nervous grin and shook his head in disappointment. Regula and her team had traveled across the nation to see him and he could do very little to assist her. he was brought back to his days of struggling to gain audience with nobles and killing himself to gain their favor and his position. They were a bunch of greedy, selfish, and corrupt parasites who were leeching off of the nation to live these lavish lives without doing anything good for the nation in return. It made his blood boil to think back to those days and to think about how they looked down on him. "I do not think that, Aria would find herself in the service of someone unworthy of her trust and skill, or introduce you to me if you were not worthy of my trust and help. I can't teach you, but I do believe we can help one another." His right index finger rose to point up at the castle. "I need new barons working under me that I can trust and someone like yourself, who shares a background similar to my own...you would be ideal" He started. "I know you were only asking for lessons, but if you're truly interested in becoming a noble, I can help with that. I would just need to know that you are the person I'm assuming you to be and that you're willing to do the hard work to protect the people." Linneus looked to Regula, trying to find her eyes and look for whether or not she was interested and serious.

With the sound of music resonating throughout the garden and into the castle halls, Alex managed to grab the attention of some of the castle servants. Linneus celebrated art and music was part of that so they oft had musicians commissioned to bring music to the city just to inspire and excite the people. Hearing the music, several servants emerged from the castle, wandering into the garden and approaching Alex. They formed a somewhat spacious semi-circle around the woman, listening to her peculiar sound, but swayed by her all the same. They bopped along to the tune, some even humming the melody that they managed to pick up. They watched the woman, enamored by her skill and talent.
