There are two things that control a character's power. Money and Exp. The game is effectively built around the EXP count. Game balance depends on throwing challenge appropriate encounters at the party. The trouble is, unlike EXP, GP is a number the fluctuates randomly. A character can theoretically become a millionaire at level 1. This is one of the reasons that they stopped putting prices on magic items. That level 1 character I mentioned could buy awesome magic items and will no longer be challenged by level appropriate encounters.
I think they just didn't want people to repeat money making schemes and focus more on rp elements and story. I think the strength of games is you can buy shit to get stronger, but theres no story. Here there's plenty of story but nothing to buy.

*shrug* i work with what is given when it comes to games. Get fancy sword? Cool. Get scrolls for the wizard? There we go. Put best teasures to best suited folks. I don't like to sell stuff unless nobody really, really wants it.

As for get rich quick schemes... they don't matter to me.

My money is made through doing good deeds and quests. Even then, it is secondary. I play dnd and such to be a hero, not play a game of me vs dm!

Not that i'm scorning anyone with this, just plastering my thoughts as I slowly slip into oblivion.

I'm here for the story and m night shamalyian twists.

Felix Felix Ilikepie Ilikepie Snek Snek Zotar Zotar pbtenchi pbtenchi and you orik, I haven't made a town or a forest dungeon yet. I will probably start tomorrow night since I have work one more day before two thankful days off. However I wanted to ask. Do you want a town scene in which to shop or will you use theatre of mind only if you go into town?

I figured theatre of mind, unless a layout would reveal something Io would care about nearby, like a magic shop or mysterious alley

I've seen some dnd stories where the 1 GP goat thing turns into this crazy money making thing players take advantage of.

I wonder how hard it's going to be to find a place that sells flutes and how much one is going to cost the vanilla cost is 2gp so I expect it within my price range.

You'll find something in your price range. You can rp it out or just teleport yourself to the shop. I'm fine with either or and is the reason why I asked if anyone wants town scenery.

what if you adorably attack stuff :3

You can look for one if you like. I only expedited the journey to pearlgarden because it didnt seem like it was important to anyone. So if you want to go to town for this, then you can look. :3

I wondered about that. It felt like a sudden scene change after comic relief in a tv show, which is the reason i went along with it. I've even had books do it to me.

But speaking of adorable:
You know how cats can be cute cuddly fluff puffs one second, and then eldritch incarnations of terrifying rage the next? I can't wait to write out Wash's Barbarian Rage feature. *evil grin*

Man... why ya'll gotta do stuff while I sleep TT~TT

Everyone was accounted for and it was the perfect time to move along. But if it ever bothers you, lemme know.

:smug: whos an adorable kitty. Whos an adorable. Yes you are. Yes you are. :3

oh jeeze.... Sam is caught in the middle

So: three groups.

A Boy and a Girl
A Boy and a Girl
A Boy and a Girl(?)

How did we do this?
