Realistic or Modern Organized Crime

Setting the plates down in front of her he took the bottle and poured himself a glass. "So...is there anyone else in your neighborhood that I should be worried about?"

"No, she's the only one that likes to run around and put her opinion where it doesn't belong. I have half a mind usually, to tell her where she can put it."

He laughs, "So I can only assume we'll be dealing more with her down the line in our future, especially when we are moving furniture." He sighs, "I wonder when people will change."

He smiles, "Maybe it's just your eyes." He laughs and reachs over to pat her hand. "But I know i see a gift from god every time I see you."

She felt her eyes start to water and she sat there in silence for a moment, tears breaking loose from her lashes and rolling down the soft skin of her cheeks.

He tensed up, "Lynn? What's wrong?" he says getting up to round the counter and stand next to her. Trying to do his best to comfort her.

"I just... never thought anyone would love me the way that you do, Alex. After my fiancé died, I never thought anybody would look my way again. But you just have this way that you look at me and talk to me that makes me feel beautiful and I... I don't know how I could have ever been happy before I met you!"

He smiles softly, caressing both of her cheeks and wipes away the tears from her face, giving her light kisses then he looked in her eyes, "I love you Lynn, more than life itself."

He hugged her back and kissed her head, "Just know that I'll never leave you, Lynn. Never." He says softly while rubbing her back.

(Let the war begin)

After another week of them living together it was time for her to work. He stood behind her while she got dressed, "Stunning as ever darling." He gives her back a kiss.

He laughed and went back to get his blazer on, "I don't think you told the band that you're dating me, have you? They'll be in for a surprise tonight."

Pulling up to the club they go through the back entrance and all of his goons look to Lynn, each one nodding to her and saying, "Wonderful evening tonight isn't it Ms. O'Brien?" "Wonderful to see you again, Ms. O'Brien." "Big crowd tonight, Me O'Brien, knock em dead."

They waved her off while Alex found himself watching her go with a smile, "Don't forget to bring the band back to talk to me." He said quickly.

Mike came from the side, "If I may, sir."

"Go on." He turns to face him.

"I speak both morally and financially on this. She was a good find. Our sales have gone up substantially. Plus shes picked up moral around the club." He nods.

"I know. She's perfect ain't she." Alex chuckled.

He chuckled and held her hand, "Now go out there and live your dream." He nods as he gives her back a pat. "You'll knock em dead." He nods reassuringly.

He walks out in the crowd with a couple men from his crew as he watches her with a glass of scotch in hand.

"Sometimes I'm right
Sometimes I'm wrong
But he doesn't care
He'll string along
He loves me so
That funny honey of mine..."

She looked over at Alex and smiled.

"Sometimes I'm down
Sometimes I'm up
But he follows round
like some droopy eyed pup
He loves me so
That funny honey of mine."

He just smiled at her brightly. "She's too good for me." He laughed lightly. He was tapped on the shoulder by one of his crew members who whispered, "The don is here." Alex nodded and went to the back.
