Also is the 'District of Columbia' not the most important 'state'?
 
Not only saying that, but vaults arent the only way to get knowledgeable people to open factories. Heck, the gun runners were just some guys who found the factory where they set up shop, so vault cannot exclusuvely determine whether or not a civilization will bloom.

In terms of Geopolitical importance perhaps, but its still the capital. China no doubt considers Beijing its most important city despite it being one of its worst economically and such.

They produced ammo and shitty guns at first, then producing better ones when they started trading and they discovered some weapon schematics, which, to this day, they guard with their lives.

True, but on the terms of a shaddow company, once the president and the political leaders are gone, the people dont matter. Too small of a population to hav any usefulness. In New york, you can spread out your vaults, not hav one affected by another. And if you aremt going to put one in DC, where else is a good place to put it.

Ok, so...that wouldnt stop me from doing it. The point is they repaired tech, and for things that dont need schematics to make different ones, like bottle, boots, and coats, nothing is stopping me from working hard to progress.

There is also atleast 5 of the 120 or so vaults are in the Capital Wasteland

If you look, I edited it to atleast 5. calm yourself. But the lore limiting them to 122 will bite them if they plan on releasing more and more games, especially if they keep the vaults as clustered as they have so far.

I said it's not 5. It couldn't be 6, that would be too much. And they probably cluster the Vaults because canonically they would want mostly identical populations.

Has literally nothing to with the population of DC. Pentagon people are safe from the bombs and vualts. Civis in DC arent and hav nothing to offer as diverse of a group as NY

So there's the shanty vault, the cryo vault, the addict vault, the kid vault, and the intact vault in Boston. So that's 5 bucko. Not including the DLC build-your-own vault. What's your response to that?
 
But I agree its unlikely there is more then 5, especially since the pres had one anyway, his own private hole
