How would they have met? Buras goes from the coast of Origia to the coast of one of the other two empires. Your character, meanwhile, is a member of the royal guard. So, that being said, she probably doesn't go beyond the capital to much, or the royal castle for that matter. However, yes he does underestimate her, to him she's just another guard in shiny armor. Whether he's right or wrong however can only be determined in a fight, which I think would be frowned upon at the current time.

She did travel a while, was even over at Riga. So they surely could have met.

However yes, they would have to fight and no, she would never agree to that at the current time. :)

Even then I doubt they met. She might have heard of The White Lion or the Red Wolf. But again, I doubt she was in a town at the moment he decided to raid it.

Maybe. He might have heard of her, though, she is a pretty dedicated guard and an extraordinary fighter, so she is known all across Verlais and even partially the other kingdoms.

Frankly, my dear, he doesn't give a damn.

My character did actually acknowledge yours, size him up while yours was inspecting mine, and then gave him a slight bow out of respect. Respect between two warriors with plenty of blood on their hands. It seems like you missed thay?

Different traditions. Fenris grew up in one area of the world and taught one thing, Buras was in a different part of the world and taught to do another.

To Buras, that nod of respect between warriors was just a nod of respect between lords. One that he does not return.

I'm saying that you didn't react to it. The way it was written made it seem like he didn't even notice it happened. More like Fenrir was there and then he suddenly wasn't lol.

But the fact he wouldn't have nodded back doesn't matter. A fellow warrior would have understood regardless what it meant.

Buras doesn't respect them. And sorry about getting the name wrong. I don't know why I thought it was Fenris.

Nah, fenrir lmao. Like the norse god.

But he DOES respect men with blood on their hands like Fenrir. Think that's reason enough no?

Alright, he's racist, simplest and most blunt way to put it. He thinks everyone that isn't Origian is soft. Yes he may be a fighter, but not an Origian fighter. Buras sees himself above the other lords, though he is honor bound to be polite to them. Think about it, he's been raiding for years now, and he's fought those two kingdoms all the while. Don't you think that, naturally, he'll think less of them since he's always won against them?

Oh naturally. But Fenrir doesn't have the complexion of Origian, Rigian, or Verlaisian. He's from somewhere else entirely and it shows on him. He even has an accent from his tribe. I don't think you can be racist to a race you haven't met yet

To the contrary, I think you can. "Everyone but Origians are soft and don't know how to fight. He's simply from a different part of one of those two kingdoms." There, he's now racist to a race he doesn't even know exists.

In addition, how could he know what kind of race Fenrir is?

I think he could be racist, he would be a big asshole (no offense Beowulf, I in no way refer to you as a person), but he couldm

He wouldn't, all he would know is that he isn't Origian. And I'm perfectly fine with him being an asshole. Whether he stays that way is up to whether you can change his mind.

I like myself an asshole character too every once in a while. I am no person to mix up character and player

Everyone's showed up at the banquet. And that's all that's really happened so far. The banquet has just started.
