Strategically speaking... Wouldn't assaulting a Farming Village only serve to alert the Kingdom about the presence of a new Demon King? Or at least make them wary of some sort of Demonic force acting in the background?

As far as I'm aware, they already know there is a new demon king. I figured that's why the races were dividing and sickness and natural disasters are running a muck. Also a farming village that supplies troops with food is a valuable target for attack.

I was under the impression that the Azazel's ascension simply coincided with the other races -- no longer bound by the unity of combating a common foe -- splitting apart, with the disasters and plagues springing up naturally (or, at most, originating from the Demonic forces, but without any solid proof given the fact they had been 'vanquished').
